    I didn't buy reforged because I saw this coming, however my own old copy of wc3 is now **** with it? Go to hell blizzard, played your games since wc1 and now I have to be careful and refuse to buy your games for years. Good to see Activision managed to ruin one of the best game making companies in history.

They also decided that they were going to claim full IP rights on any mods, so the mod scene for it is going to be dead before it gets started. Pre-ordered it first day it was available.     Pre-ordered in 2018 and this game is a complete betrayal. Should've made the game on a new engine and started over from scratch instead of worrying about the older version of the game. Want a refund.

    Good job Blizzard for this poorly optimized game in general...Apart from custom games that don’t work,the game gets spike lags on my PC that meets the requirements by far more than needed... -.- 40€ for the deluxe edition wasted...Useless company...I want the old Blizzard back!Where is it?!

    I can't believe i un-dusted my Metacritiic account but god damn does Reforged deserve the worst possible mark. First thing - the game itself is not good. Optimiization is really bad, plenty of bugs of different nature and crashes. It doesn't look good at all, with weird mesh of very realistic graphics and cartoon. Doesn't sound good in every place where it didn't rip of sounds from theI can't believe i un-dusted my Metacritiic account but god damn does Reforged deserve the worst possible mark.     Now all mods made for Reforged belong to blizzard. Seriously? Solid ToS, i'm sure modding scene will thrive with that.

    But the worst thing is that they killed battle.net that run original WC3 TFT multi-player. You can no longer play it outside of downloading 30GB of this dumpster fire, forced into new client that takes away features. 17 years old classic, one of the best RTSs ever made with the best modding scene is dead. Well done Activision-Blizzard. Nothing is sacred anymore.    … Expand

    I like the game, but not because it's a good remaster. Warcraft 3 by itself was so game changing that it really didn't need much work to be enjoyable once more. Still - reforged - as a word - means more like something remade from scratch, in this case, unfortunately, it deserves to be named "Warcraft 3 resharped". After 15 years, with so many great ideas that have sprouted along the way inI like the game, but not because it's a good remaster. Warcraft 3 by itself was so game changing that it really didn't need much work to be enjoyable once more. Still - reforged - as a word - means more like something remade from scratch, in this case, unfortunately, it deserves to be named "Warcraft 3 resharped". After 15 years, with so many great ideas that have sprouted along the way in how to enhance user experience and engagement, game just dissapoints. New cinematics have never seen quality assurance department (check arthas vs illidan reforged cutscene), they cut custom campaigns, clans, left old clunky user interface, spitted in the mouth of modding community by taking away their rights to custom maps (hoping that some brainlet will create another LoL or auto chess mod that they could profit from), without giving quality of life improvements to 15 year old world editor. And the worst thing is that they achieved bare minimum to release the game. Fully released game with coming soon features (clans)? Give me a break. I really wanted to see all new dynamic cinematics, clean, modern GUI, new stuff to keep me engaged (maybe some kind of expeditions up to 4 players where players can only play with heroes, more RPG way?) but we all see what we got instead. Such important part of gaming history treated without any love. They managed to piss off fans that didn't want for game to change and those who wanted to see something new. I'm just amazed how they did it. Shame on them.… Expand

    When the warcraft 3 reforged first announced on Blizzcon 2018 i pre-orderd the Spoils of War edition .
    i was very exited about this game but damn this game is trash ...

    Un verdadero robo, pensar que esto era Blizzard la creadora de juegos como Diablo 2 y ahora son una compañía capaz de sacar al mercado un juego tan basura como esto.

    WC III: refunded - is by far the worst disappointing release in the whole game industry!
    Raw, bugged, glitched, lagged - are not the reasons I've written this review.
    But the degradation of Blizzard is so horrible, that they've managed to release in 20 20 "upgrade" that made their own game of 2002 worse, even in terms of graphics!
    Refund and 0 score - that's the maximum which Blizzard deserves!

    Awful. The new models create a mess when grouping units together, making it difficult to separate them. No LAN, no modder support - everything you make belongs to them. The game is massively buggy. I'm positive they plan to roll this out as a mobile game due to the changes. Blizzard is a shell of what it once was.

    I can't believe I waited this long for just a pile of trash it literally doesn't even work like it won't load the campaign after a few plays. The online constantly glitches and freezes and turns off. It looks exactly like Warcraft 3 I don't see any difference it just sucks worse that game was made in 2003 how could you make a game worse and 2019

    Близард по факту просто убили варкрафт. Кампания с новым графоном выглядит как говно. У вас ландшафт хуже чем в оригинале. Это ещё на фоне кучи багов. Ладера нету и сетевая составляющая в плохом состоянии. Когда ладер завезут уже никого не будет. Для кастомок вели анальную модерации, плюс никто делать ещё под такой лагадром кастомки не будет

I feel they advertised the game for almost an entire year in a way that seemed like reforged was a completely new game and that they would change the campaigns to adapt it to the new lore. They were on board with that idea up until last blizzcon where they decided to back up and just give the lackluster visual update that wasn't really that big of a deal since the engine strips away every touch of "Warcraft" in it. I was so excited when WoWhead datamined the models for Anasterian Sunstrider for Reforged and just imagined how it'd feel to do the Scourge quests again with the details that we have now in the updated lore. I believe the main reason people bought the game was because of the things they promised and ended up not giving, that's why it had a huge blizzcon announcement while other remasters like StarCrafts weren't even promoted in a huge way (and yes I understand the difference between a full on visual update with a new engine and a resolution refinement, but you get the point)

    They said people didn't want to have the new stories put into the game, even though it wasn't ever a big deal because you had the original game to experience that, and the final result of that was a **** ton of people paying $40 for a delayed game that only carries a new graphics engine. I just feel like changing the decision and the philosophy in which the game was being developed mid-production led to this, which it's not technically a scam, but it wasn't what most people were looking for while buying this game and the critics show that. I think the worst part in all of this mess is that even though it's a visual "update" some of the models still look stiffy and terrible. For those defending this absurdly bad product saying "This is just what we wanted, just a visual update!" Just take a look st the other reviews. It's not what people wanted at all. With Blizzard now apparently denying refund requests (and personally ignoring my own - still have an open ticket), I write this review as a warning more than anything else. Do not buy this game.     Crappy, laggy performance on a pc that will run modern AAA titles on ultra settings and cannot tell the difference between the new and "remastered" graphics. Plus missing features promised at launch. Do not buy.

    I don't usually complain about stuff like this, because I don't usually have any expectations.

    However I was quite hyped for this particular remaster because of the promises they made in 2018. I didn't follow the updates surrounding it at all after this - big mistake. I pre-ordered the game JUST before it went live, as I did see some announcements that it had been released.     However I was quite hyped for this particular remaster because of the promises they made in 2018. I didn't follow the updates surrounding it at all after this - big mistake.

    Then went online and saw all the things they scrapped. I refunded it immediately. As of now, this is just not worth 30 euros/dollars w/e. As someone who doesn't even really cares about in-game visuals, it added literally nothing to the experience. I just expected the game to feel more modern.

    I might repurchase it in the future, as I really love this game - and it has so much potential. But right now it's the biggest FU to fans of the series. I'm not willing to spend my money on the same product, that looks somewhat shinier, but is rotten from the inside.    … Expand

    The worst quality. The technical component is disgusting. No new videos, no new missions, no art to look like the World of Warcraft. There is no normal matchmaking in a multiplayer game. No new directing cutscenes.

    Unfortunately, I DO have a memory. And I distinctly remember reading a description of this product and watching demos of this product before getting out my wallet and paying for it. I can't find any of the promised features in Reforged. And I remember the original Warcraft 3, so I can pretty well see what they did with this remaster. The answer is: very little.

    I actually did not look online before buying and playing the game and had not read anything about it. But when I started the Campaign, immediately I was unimpressed by some of the cutscenes. They were just slightly better res. of the exact same animations in W3. "Wait a minute, these don't look brand-new at all..." I thought. Then I sat through a few of the pre-mission dialogue scenes... They were very unimpressive. Exactly what I would expect in 2002. Not what I would expect from a "remaster" done in 2020.

    Also, I never played original Warcraft 3 multiplayer. I was really looking forward to testing my skills in Reforged against a ranked ladder with standard multiplayer features. The multiplayer currently in Reforged feels archaic... Definitely not enough to feel like it's competitive. I want to know that I'm playing against evenly skilled players as I steadily improve myself, and I lost a lot of desire for playing through the Campaign knowing there'd be very little opportunity to fairly test my skill afterwards.

    Overall, it feels like the developers gave themselves the excuse of "preserving the original" to justify very minimal change or improvement in the game. While they were at it, they unfortunately decided to make several features of the original game worse. I will come back in 6 months and see if anything is better. Until then, there is nothing here to review except shortcomings, thus a 0.    … Expand

I didn't make this account to join the Hate-Hype wagon, I did it because I care, about this game, about my childhood, and now I have to see what Blizzard did to my boy.... oh boy.... I can't describe how disappointed I am... I just want the old Blizzard back...

They have destroyed online bnet, this new style is just not functional or nice to use, the icons are worthless as they include offline icons for use online and you have lost part of the online soul of the original, fighting for your icons.     Not only did my favorite game die, but it turns out what I paid for was literally just skins. This is a cruel joke and I seriously hope the classic Warcraft III is going to come back in some shape or form.

Blizzard has screwed over its player base for the last time. They have lied to us, they have cheated us, and they have ruined a childhood game that brought hours of joy. All that is left now is a crooked reminder of what could have been.

А ведь благодаря только этому баттлнет держался добрые десять (!) лет.
    3. Обещали изменение компании, но не изменили ничего вовсе. Всё осталось буквально прежним, только за это просят 2200 рублей. За что? За HD-текстурки? Обещали новые крутые катсцены, чего только стоили сцены на презентации, такая-то красота была. Даже обещали переключение между классической и новой кампанией.
    4. Сервера старого варкрафта 3 решили нагло отключить, чтобы люди не смогли вернуться к The Frozen Throne.
    5. Игра сырая, багованная и глючная. Я понимаю что Близзарду наплевать на своих пользователей и игроков, но чтобы проводить альфатест за счёт их кармана - это уже нагло и позорно.
    6. Старые функции работают не так, как работали в The Frozen Throne. Сеть нестабильна, игроки вылетают и дисконнектятся.

И в день получения машины Вам выдают убитую в хлам копейку, с помятым крылом, без задних фар, дворниками, которые работают лишь тогда, когда хотят.
    - Но это не все, - сообщает продавец. - Мы тут с парнями посоветовались, решили, что вам так лучше будет. Кстати, у нее руль постоянно вправо кренит. А если захотите повернуть налево, то бывает задержка секунд на 5. Но это же не страшно! Это ж прям живая классика! А еще она жрет весь бензин за двадцать километров, советуем запасаться впрок.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.
