    As a 15+ years player of the Warcraft III universe, I was so hyped about the prospect of Reforged that I pre-purchases it, anxious for its ingame cutscenes, UI, and specially the coming back of my beloved World Editor. Now that the game launched, not only were the cutscenes, cinematic and other lore improvements not verified, but the new clause regarding ActiBlizzard now owning each andAs a 15+ years player of the Warcraft III universe, I was so hyped about the prospect of Reforged that I pre-purchases it, anxious for its ingame cutscenes, UI, and specially the coming back of my beloved World Editor. Now that the game launched, not only were the cutscenes, cinematic and other lore improvements not verified, but the new clause regarding ActiBlizzard now owning each and any custom game made, made my heart break and shiver. I now lost my final attachment to the game as it is, as the Company I believed and fell in love with more then 10 years ago is no longer there. Not only they would never enforce this type of greedy and toxic approach to the people who have been keeping this universe alive for the past decade, but it clearly is a demonstration that this is no longer a gaming Company, but only a stock holder bank for digital money grabs. It is disgusting and should be shamed publicly by the Industry.… Expand

Because of this, I will be able to get a full refund whereas my friend is no longer eligible. With the release of this game Blizzard has made some of the most egregious, and morally inept moves i have seen a company of their size make in a long time; just for a few extra dollars to fill their coffers. It pains me to say this but I will not pre-order, or play anymore Blizzard games moving forward until they fix their company culture, business model, and public relations and right so many of the wrongs they committed in 2019 and now early 2020.… Expand

People were defending the beta for so long, defending Blizzard for their lack of communication, defending Blizzard against people saying the preorder was just a cash grab.     Removed the classic Warcraft 3. Now, to play the old version, I have to download a client weighing 30 GB and look at the new shabby menu and listen to the new shabby voice acting. Burn in hell.

    This is a bad example of promoting a product by misleading customer. Gg Blizzard ! I am thinking the next 2 weeks if I will delete my account. Strong message must be sent. Years of forums about all blizzard issues culminated with this release. Clearly nobody is listening and taking actions. Our wallets will be the last frontier.

    Feels like a downgraded version of the original, with but with slightly better 3D models. I really tried to like this game too - bought it 13 months in advance...

    - No new UI
    - No new cutscenes (just the old ones rescaled)
    - No clans, chat boards, etc.
    - No competitive ladder
    - Bugs & crashes

    They even replaced the legendary art director Samwise Didier`s icon from game. This artist is an idol of the art of Blizzard games. it feels like a spit in the face to fanbase and it dirty my nostalgic memories about epic game Warcraft 3. How they dare to stomp on legacy and pride of Warcraft, which literally is memorial that the game represents nowdays to many gamers?

    Did we get this? No. Nope. Nada. Do not    This was my most anticipated game of 2019. The promised Blizzard made at the 2018 Blizzcon promised more than just a remaster.     Did we get this? No. Nope. Nada. Do not buy. Avoid this game like the plague.

    Somewhere along the line, Blizzard decided to scrap these promises and kept very tight lipped about it. These highly liked promises that were shown are not in the game we got, despite some of these shown off previously.

    The game is now a much shallower version of the game we were promised. Yes, there are new models. These models that were outsourced to a Malaysian company that worked on the Starcraft remaster. So if another company is responsible for these models, what they hell is Blizzard responsible for here?

    -One recreated cutscene. Not the '4 hours' of remastered cutscenes that was promised.
    -No new UI
    -No new voice acting
    -No new story and campaign elements (The wikipedia entry has the gall to blame fan feedback for this)
    -a bug filled game, including a bug that 'auto fails' campaign missions.
    - A creation tool /custom game mode, where Blizzard owns any intellectual and moral rights to anything that fans create. Blizzard does not need to even credit the creator.

    How this game was released in this state is beyond me. What happened that all of these promised features were scrapped? The 'old' Blizzard would never have allowed a game to launch in this state. The old 'Blizzard polish' is missing and this is the worst game they have released.

    J Allen Brack. Hang your head in shame. Your predecessor Mike Morheim would never have allowed this.

    I'am playing W3:TFT all these years, love it, never have any issue with it. And now I'am NOT.
    Just becouse some marketing vvh0re consider I now need a "REFORGED" version, what suck ALL THE WAY (Constantly crashes, lagging in frigin MENU!!!, broken custom maps). Why not allow older version stay where it is. That beyond understanding! (Imagine you never can play StarCraft without SC2)

No graphs, no time-breakdown for when resources/kills occurred. This is even the smallest complaint compared to what other people have already complained about in such great detail.     I prepurchased this this game a year and a half ago expecting to get it sometime last year. Not only is it late, it's not even close to the blizzard quality that was to be expected of their games. Its an unfaithful recreation of the original warcraft three that I would barely even call garbage.

This "remake" is a souless cash grab that doesn't follow through with the many promises it originally made. This remake was as minimum effort as something could be.     I've been a long fan of Blizzard game and I must say that this game doesn't meet Blizzard minimal standards. I've played the beta and the same crashes and bugs were there at launch. This is innacceptable for a Blizzard title... I rate a Zero because I don't think that we should accept a game with so much flaws and more so because it's a Blizzard game. Sorry for my English I speak French.

Disables old client which actually worked, un-dos all of the honestly pretty awesome work they did to stabilize pings for custom lobbies roughly six months ago (which was supposed to be in preparation for this?     One thing I will say is that despite all the negative reviews I actually do like the new models even if they could be better they're pretty nice, but if we've been playing this game for 17 years with AAA games coming out in that time obviously none of us were playing for the graphics. I'd love to see a revert of the menu and UI for battle.net custom lobbies, whilst keeping the little reforged slider in the options. If all this rework did was add that slider to the game it would have been better than this dumpster fire and satisfied me I was willing to pay 30$ just for the new models to get a fresh 50th replay on the campaign :/    … Expand

    Tbf I'm not that bothered by the cinematics being plain to what was promised in the announcement, that doesn't really affect the story itself, but what I do have a problem with is custom games - the main reason why I decided to get the game in the first place.     14. Единственная новая цг катсцена, бой иллидана с Артасом, выглядит хуже, чем фанатские работы

    21. В оригинале, по непонятной причине, удалили некоторые меметичные фразы у персонажей. Например, "Im wasted" у дриады..
    22. Для смены хоткеев надо редактировать текстовый файл в папке игры. Причём тебе об этом сообщают прямо в настройках игры и даже заботливо говорят путь.
    23. Графика переключается только из меню(это не норма для ремастеров).
    24. Освещение, эмбиент оклюжен не завезли.

    The fact that you can't go back to the old client aggravates this, it feels forced, scummy and cash grabby; and the gameplay is even worse, since the game has technical, logistical and development problems all over the place, including lack of ladder, custom games now owned by the company (which effectively means working for them for free and they can take your original idea and offer no compensation whatsoever), false advertising, and denial of refunds even against the law, among many others.

    What happened blizzard? I want to enjoy your games and the universes you make with them. This game doesn't deliver what was promised and tarnishes the original by adding broken features. The saying is under promise and over deliver. This is the opposite, and it's not hard to see why people are upset. Games with a history like this need to be treated with more respect than this got.

    This is so bad. A RTS game with no competitive multiplayer, crashes constantly, lobby system doesn't work, hotkeys don't work, single player campaign doesn't work.

    This is an incomplete game that doesn't work. Can't play offline single player, can't play online multiplayer. Where is the game?

    Not the Blizz I grew up with. Overpriced, underdelivered. As it is now its just a glorified skinpack, shilled out for 30-40 bucks to every blue-eyed guy out there not realising what this once stalwart company that stood for quality has become.

    I made a Metacritic account just to say that nobody should buy this game, it's a 30€ "remaster" with none of the new features promised, that a group of modders could have done better.
    The game has crashed multiple times for me, and is still full of bugs.
    STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME!

    As player of Blizzard games for over 25 years since the original Warcraft first released, I can't help but feel cheated by what Blizz has released: A HD reskin of WCIII and nothing more. Nothing worth its $40 USD price tag.

    Fallout 76 is better made than this,, game." A huge number of bugs, old animations, textures are worse than before, but the saddest thing is the lack of new gameplay. All you pay for is slightly degraded graphics (except for characters) and bugs.

    I have played a few bnet matches and the endscreen was always broken.

    I really wanted to like this release(as I love the original game), but my attempts to force it upon myself ware not enough.

    It is just a broken game developed by an overworked, under underbudged team, there is no other explanation.

    And the biggest disaster is that we can not go back and play the original.

    I was hoping that this release will bring new players and maybe new games to the RTS world(as it is really fun to play and even watch), but I realize that this was just a pipedream.

    Basically just don't bay the game, if you are new to it, it does not deseve your time, if you ride the nostalgic train, don't touch this it will just burn you.

Даже не дали бету, ну да ладно, и вот он момент! Конец декабря и перенос, ладно, ждём, ведь обещали, переделать историю, синиматики. В конце декабря предложили вернуть деньги, не стал возвращать т.к. не знал, что меня будет в итоге ждать. Близзард, просто наглым образом обманула меня, я, купил не то что они обещали. Как итог, я, даже не могу вернуть деньги. Вот и приходится сидеть, искать не кривые кастомки в целях время провождения.… Expand

However, the classic mode in Reforged doesn't look or work like the original RoC and TFT at all. Plus my local installation suddenly blew up from 2gb to about 30gb.

    Now it's apparently impossible to play the original RoC and TFT games short of installing from a 17 years old CD and not installing any patches at all or running the Battle.net launcher, otherwise the game again being auto replaced by Reforged.
    Blizzard literally took away a game from, a game I bought many years ago and was playing since. And the "Reforged" replacement doesn't look the same, doesn't work the same. Lack the features we've enjoyed for 17 years. This is just absurd, they've taken a really old game and instead of making it better, made it worse in every possible way.    … Expand

    1. Menus are very bad, non intuitive. Why they have not left good old menus from Original Warcraft 3? 2. Updated cut scenes were not updated. 3.     Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
