    I have been playing this game since its launch way back in 2002, (a veteran player if you will), and after updating my game these days I was absolutely shocked by what I saw. First I couldn't even log in into the game because your app thought that I don't own the damn game. Ever since I heard youre gonna ramaster it I KNEW that your gonna f it up, because I knew you are not the same company that you used to be and that actually made THIS game, so WHY remastering it? So what did you do you morons? What did you improve? The graphics? The sound? I can be a female DK / DH now? But want gender neutral, not enough, aight? Forced me out of the old WC3 classic? Features that existed before the merge no longer exist? Gave me a laggy main menu? Everything that I now create in the editor belongs to you?     False advertisement during Blizzcon 2018, totally broke, slowness. They also broke the original game at the same time.
    Less features than the original Wc3, only remastered graphics (however cinematics are exactly the same). And if you liked making your own custom games, Blizzard now own them.

    Nothing that was said and promised has been made. All false hope for the game itself, can't even request a refund. Played the beta never touched the live version of the game. I'm so utterly disappointed in Activision Blizzard atm.

Хотел ознакомиться с кампанией, так как пропустил в своё время, но играть в это просто невозможно. Ещё и такая цена.     One big **** Not only is the game released a bottom and a cash leap. Made overwhelmingly, they have destroyed the classic version that cannot be installed. Like the graphics can be changed but the Polish language version has also been changed to the bottom one from the reforged version. only with CDs you can play a good old game. at blizzard, the finite donkeys make their decisions.

    Avoid this game until further notice. Maybe they’ll fix it. But as of right now it’s mind boggling to think a modern computer can’t run a game from 2002 on low settings

    Well folks, unfortunately, this is not an out of season April jokes.
    Reforged just doesn’t look as good as it was promised. While the graphics are upgraded, cutscenes don’t feature the cinematic camera work that was previously advertised. You can see the comparison between the 2018 version that was playable at BlizzCon with the launch.

I came back to the game in about August of 2019 after seeing the reforged version being advertised and thought it would be fun to play this game again, so I purchased. I played only custom multiplayer games on the battlenet almost daily, things like LOTRs, TD legion war, Helms deepI signed up to Metacritic to write this review. I had played WC3 TFT for about three years when it was new. I came back to the game in about August of 2019 after seeing the reforged version being advertised and thought it would be fun to play this game again, so I purchased. I played only custom multiplayer games on the battlenet almost daily, things like LOTRs, TD legion war, Helms deep ect ect.

    Even though the game was very old it was still fun to play on multi player, and the graphics held up very good throughout all these years.
    Now I logged on to play two days ago and couldn't as it seemed to download the new content for a full day. When I got on the whole userface was changed. Then I got into a game and thought, what the hell happened to this game, the graphics are terrible, I could no longer tell what a unit was anymore as the graphics ARE HORRIBLE. I asked in my LOTR game how to revert back to the old Warcraft 3 TFT and they said you cannot.

    This is the worst "Upgrade", its like they tried to make this a cheap rip off of StarCraft 2, which I personally don't like the graphics and camera positioning of that game either. So this will be the last game of Blizzard I ever buy, as the last game I bought from Blizzard was StarCraft 2. So going forward please let users revert back to old Warcraft 3 TFT in every regard, being multiplayer outlay, graphics, special effects, clans, ladderboard, ect ect.

    And just a free business tip, don't reforge or remake any of your game's clearly Blizzard doesn't have the graphics designers or vision to produce AAA games anymore, you took one of the most polished beloved games in gaming history and massacred it. Like I said before, I will never buy a Blizzard product again, nor even consider buying one again.

    Folks, stay far far away from this game that way you'll still have the nice fuzzies thinking about Warcraft 3 TFT, instead of seeing the horror of this reforged version.    … Expand

I was not promised what was shown, things are not working in game and I have no choice but to update my old Warcraft3 now I'm stuck with both broken game, classic and reforged. I didnt even have a choice. I couldnt even refund. So much for a "reforged"

    I became a gamer from playing the original WC3 with my dad. I have so many fond memories of us playing the game together, so seeing this coming out of the company I once held in high regard is extremely disappointing.

    I downloaded the release knowing I won't be getting updated cinematics except for the intro. I am content with replaying the campaign to see some decent in-game cinematics. Voice acting was the first thing I noticed that was a miss, the tutorial narration was really cringe.. progressing further, I don't see any decent in-game cinematics... Wtf is going on here? Still falsely advertising a cutscene on their website that is vastly different from the one actually in game. Downright criminal. Banning people who help others get refunds. Blizzard, smarten up.     For me, the introduction of World of Warcraft was the beginning of the end of a dynasty. I knew Warcraft would probably never be an RTS game again so I held out hope for StarCraft 2 which was also a major disappointment. When Warcraft III: Reforged was announced, I dared to hope and I sorely wish I hadn't. Yet, even then, i was willing to hold out hope that Blizzard would refund purchases and strive to make the game great...

    Then I learned about them banning forum accounts for helping people get refunds, refusing refunds for anyone with more than 2 hours of game time in the game and even denying people who hadn't even installed the game!

    The end of the Blizzard dynasty spells a dark chapter in my childhood but hopefully it will serve as a lesson to both Blizzard and other gaming companies that gamers are sick and tired of settling for second-rate crap. You make promises, you deliver. You make a game you want us to purchase, then give us a reason to.    … Expand

    I'm speechless. I cannot fathom how is it possibe to release a "remake" that's worse in every metric compared to a 18 years old game. I don't want even to touch the subject about the botched online.
    DO NOT BUY THIS It's an insult to the warcraft players moreso it removes the old client and online experience.

    The versus (competitive) part of the game wasn't implemented at release. Linking your classic account does literally nothing. Most of the custom games don't even work. The chat window in the main menu is very laggy and unresponsive. You can't ignore or report people anywhere. Switching graphics to "classic mode" is not the same as graphics on the old client and the best thing is: the old client is just not available anymore, and there are many, many more bugs that I didn't include here...

    I literally can't find a reason why I would suggest anyone to buy this game. Especially after they started banning people on their own forums where people helped others on how to refund the game.

    Too much hope for this game. Turn out to be one of the worst games ive ever played. Everything is basically the same as the old warcraft except updated graphic. They should’ve named it Warcraft: just reskin.

    Furthermore you have broken promises, all the upgraded cutscenes shown in 2018 are gone, several advertised things have been removed, and a lot of features are gone such as cross-region custom games.

    Shaders, shadows and lights are unfinished, making the amazing new models look like weird plastic. This is just NOT okay for a 30-40 bucks reforged edition, promised to be much more than a remaster.

    An absolute disaster, to resonate on a lot of the comments previously mentioned it feels like the old blizzard we knew is long gone. This is a broken product simply put. What's worst is that it breaks the original amazing game by migrating it over to the new battle.net system.

    I absolutely loved the original WC3 when it first came out and played it for years. I have probably lost several months of my life to that game. So I was massively excited when I saw and heard about Reforged. I even pre-ordered it and I never pre-order any games.

    Then, it released. I don't think I could have been more disappointed.     Then, it released. I don't think I could have been more disappointed. Firstly, the main point of the whole release was to bring in wonderful "4K" graphics and 3D character portraits. Considering it's 2020, the graphics are just nothing short of rubbish. SC2 was released 10 years ago and it looks considerably better than what they gave us in Reforged. It makes me wander what they actually spent all that time doing, because it definitely wasn't in making a decent engine upgrade. The character portraits are even worse in my opinion and had this weird neon outlining around parts of them when the 3D portraits moved. The engine itself as a whole is pretty terrible. Most of the time my FPS was alright and pretty high, but it made the fans on my graphics card sound like jet engines constantly even when barely anything was on screen or happening despite SC2 (again, released 10 years ago, looking tonnes better and having far more going on in it) doesn't even make it break into a sweat in comparison. I kept getting annoying micro-stutters which seemed to be relating to animations loading - but it would happen constantly, not even just the first time a certain animation happened and loaded, it would keep happening when that animation played again the next time, and the time after that, etc. And there seemed to be some weird engine bugs with fires. Even a single tiny fire on the screen would turn my game into a slideshow of around 10 FPS. As I got further into the first parts of the campaign, my FPS seemed to suffer more and more even while only managing a few units.

    Let's not even go into all the bugs surrounding disconnecting you from the game, having to reload the game over and over until it decided to remember that you've actually completed levels in the campaign, the fact that I read in multiple places that a UI overhaul/upgrade was going to be put in and it hasn't, I also read that waypathing was meant to be fixed from the original game - it hasn't, cutscenes seemed to disappear or be missing, the sound in some cutscenes was mumbled in places as if the characters were underwater, and there are tonnes of multiplayer-related features completely missing at launch.

    I just don't get what Blizzard actually spent their time on during this release because none of it is polished at all. And the one single thing that they absolutely promised and needed to get right - decent graphics - really fell short of any kind of mark. So short you need a microscope to find out where they landed and to work out if they actually moved forward in the first place. And to have so many performance-related FPS issues in the game when barely anything is going on and the graphics suck, in the year 2020, is just unacceptable.

    Sure there is a huge nostalgic feeling if you're a fan of the original game as I was. But it's just not worth paying £25 for. I wouldn't even pay £15 for it. I actually requested a refund through Blizzard's website because I feel the job's been done so poorly.

    I really wanted WC3 Reforged to be awesome. It was the one game I was looking forward to throughout 2019. I wish they'd gotten it right. But this game feels worse than the original in a lot of ways - at least you could run the original bug-free, feature-full and with amazing performance even if the graphics and ui were slightly dated.

    One of the things that annoys me the most about this whole shambles is the fact that I've read that Blizzard are banning people on the forums for asking for refunds or helping others to find out how to get a refund, and they seem to be widely ignoring the community's response to such a badly made game.

    Blizzard, how do you **** up a hd remake. Like seriously, this game is reskinned with a few new models and some cutscenrs arnt even redone, just copy pasted into the same game.
    They just had to slap a huge price tag on it to trick people into thinking it was a high value product.

    SAD, SAD, SAD! Removed content, the added content is hideous, the censorship and sneaky behavior towards custom maps is deplorable, always online DRM. And the worst part is, the original Warcraft 3 isn't even playable anymore without pirating it. They're FORCING this trash onto us.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
