    This game is horribly optimised, during the campaign, it exited half through missions sometimes, with many many other bugs with a lot of missing features, such as a RANKING system for matchmaking, which you'd expect to have in a game in 2020.

    False advertising with reforged cutscenes that are not in the game. Fake promises... What a shame.

    Это - совсем не Warcraft 3. По ощущениям от механик, по графике, по анимациям.
    Русскую озвучку послушал одну миссию, переключил на английскую, но и она не спасает, игра не становится приятнее. Анимации низкого фреймрейта, игра не кажется плавной и приятной. Графика ужасна. Стиль тоже. В игре    Итак. Захотелось пройти кампанию Warcraft III, и решил попробовать в обновлённом виде.
    Это - совсем не Warcraft 3. По ощущениям от механик, по графике, по анимациям.
    Русскую озвучку послушал одну миссию, переключил на английскую, но и она не спасает, игра не становится приятнее.
    Анимации низкого фреймрейта, игра не кажется плавной и приятной. Графика ужасна. Стиль тоже. В игре ощущается хуже, чем на youtube. Интерфейс стал более "мобилочный". Даже прогресс-бары сделались будто плоскими. И так далее, перечислять можно долго.
    Плюсов по сравнению с оригиналом не увидел.
    Самое главное - ставлю ноль, потому что основная версия Warcraft III без ужасного современного интерфейса стала испорчена. Как бы хотелось, чтобы шедевральный Warcraft III и это ужасное поделие были бы не связаны.    … Expand

    Warcraft 3: reforged it's like ecce homo recreation. Warcraft 3 not was just a game, it was "The Game" which inspired several popular games such as "Dota 2", "league of legends" among others. In the most basic aspects of the game it is exactly the same as its classic version, a "modern" redouble was made in the voices of the characters without any innovation. The HUD is exactly the same asWarcraft 3: reforged it's like ecce homo recreation. Warcraft 3 not was just a game, it was "The Game" which inspired several popular games such as "Dota 2", "league of legends" among others. In the most basic aspects of the game it is exactly the same as its classic version, a "modern" redouble was made in the voices of the characters without any innovation. The HUD is exactly the same as the previous one but with "better" texture. Cinematics like all of the above remain exactly the same, despite the fact that Blizzard is known for doing very high quality cinematics, which is quite disappointing since it highlights the little and low interest that was had to create something of better quality with love that both the game was given to both the community and the former staff of warcraft 3. On the other hand we have the low publicity made, plus the advances that showed a game with better HUD, updated stories and fluid interludes which never arrived and probably will not arrive in some near or distant future, this fact can become denouncible to other players and distributors. In audio the game is a 3.5, it had a decent redouble, however it was only a recycling. As for the cinematics of the game a 1 due to the total recycling of these. Game-play 1.5 remains under the old hotkeys and can only be modified through a blog of notes something totally unforgivable in 2020. Animations 3 decent remodeling but rather buggy's and unclear in their attack renderings. Multiplayer 1 the game came out with a huge lack of features needed to create a community.
    final thoughts: The failure of this game is mainly due to the little dedication and lack of affection of a company to perhaps one of its greatest commercial successes, apart from demonstrating that their interest in the community that was created so long ago, they are not interested at all. Perhaps this bad edition definitely marks the fall of the rts genre and the reputation of the company responsible for this thing called "Warcraft 3: Reforged"    … Expand

    It has been almost a year. No LADDER YET. Not to mention PROFILES, and slew of other problems, like the Webui Chromeapp main menu that runs at 3fps on some computers while in game runs 300fps. I held off writing a review. 10+ months is plenty to deliver the features promised at launch. So sad... favorite game of all time. What a reality we are in...

    But I personally would add that I expected the game to be made with core engine of StarCraft 2 (ofc as a standalone game), which is fully adapted to wc3 universe (without a single mention of sc2), and besides new skins it should have:
    - Modern Nav-Mesh, so units can find their way quicker (like in sc2)
    - Ability to select more than 12 units (like in sc2)
    - More various options, similar to sc2 (hotkeys should be edited by editing a file srsly????)
    - Less bugs in overall, maintaining the quality of content that old Blizzard had

    Instead, we got the game which is almost completely untouched internally, that's not a reforge. That's reskin. And, honestly, though skins look pretty badass independently, in the game they turn into a complete mess because of over-detalization, and bad silhouettes of new icons. Since skins were outsorced to some other company, with no help of Blizzard designers, we've got what we've got: a complete mess on the screen. So even the skins are not designed for the game: they made it look cool independently, not to fit in the game.

    Me encantaron los cambios que anunciaron en la blizcon, nueva interfaz, nueva cinematica, cambios al lore (no es la misma campaña del juego original) todo el mundo por eso estaba alegre pero 3 o 4 personas estabas disgustadas por el cambio y ellos querian el juego original.

If it were just for that, but no, they also killed the modding community, responsible for the success of the old game with games like DotA, Tower Defenses, and other thousands of mods that people only bought the game to play them. They imposed intellectual property over any mod made using their platform, so they could milk more any players that are doing something to make the game better.. Along with that, they removed some features from the old game and forced the old client to update to a “reforged lite” version of this, killing the joy from those still playing the original Reign of Chaos and The Frozen thrne… Expand

    They somehow managed to ruin a game that's nearly 20 years old. I spent hundreds of hours in the original when I was a kid, I loved it! I was so excited! Then... they had to go and cut OUT all of the good features I loved, I mean... NO LAN MATCHES?? WHY? They even made the admittedly dated cutscenes somehow WORSE!

    The promises (as still shown on there webpage at this time) of extra content, redone cutscenes and the like are all not in the game.

I'm honestly shocked by how bad this was, I expected a Love Letter to one of the Best PC Games of all time, by the company who used to have such love for their products. Instead it's now just another example of Blizzard not caring anymore, make a quick buck and hurt those who were loyal to them. Hugely disappointing, but at least they gave me my refund.    … Expand

    $29 for a reskinned version of a 17-year-old game is bad enough, but when they can't even get that right, it's incredibly disappointing. At least Blizzard gave me a refund. It makes me worry about what we can expect with the next installment of the Diablo franchise.

    It was impossible to spoil the WarCraft 3 gameplay. But with everything else Reforged has problems: bad optimization, unrepainted cutscenes, poor detail and quality of art, lack of Ladder, and forced conversion of Classics to Reforged. Client «classic» WarCraft 3 — 30 gb instead of 2 gb. Network things are broken.

    I love this game 18 years. What have you done?

    Tried to play custom games all night, everything was broken. Could not host games, could not join my friends games. Could join random games and pvp! This feels like a bad alpha. I've seen asset flip games on Steam with more polish.

Felt like it was a brilliant bit of software made for people like me, and the announcement of Reforged and the upgraded editor was extremely exciting.     This game sucks major time! Blizzard, be ashamed of yourself! I paid 40 euro's for this piece of crap! I was lied to and thus feel bad! I can't get a refund, but if I did this in my job, I would be fired on the spot! But big companies seem to get away with lying and cheating. Go be ashamed of yourself! Really! Game is buggy, gfx are crap and the AI is just worthless.

    1). Now I cant even paly my favorite custom maps. World Editor and Custom games have been totally gimped. No copyright material, custom models are allowed my favorite (anime games,and other games as well as maps deemed inappropriate by Blizzard.
    2). No Cross-region play (I am from Russia and there are not so many players here as in US)
    3). No Custom campaigns
    4). No clans
    5), No Player profiles
    6). No Ladder I have been playin all these years
    As other players have said:
    Arranged teams
    Reconnection via GProxy
    Overall game stability (desyncs or crashes would almost never happen, now custom games are plagued with both)
    Bot features (only going to list some of them):
    Online lobby list and in-game chat, available from a browser (what games are hosted right now, how many players are in a lobby, etc.)
    Competitive custom games (auto-balance and matchmaking based on ELO or empirical algorithms specialized for each custom map)
    Ability to kick/ban trolls (after the removal of bots they added the ban functionality, but you would have to re-ban the person every session)
    Better ping/latency
    Protection against hacks and maphacks
    Anti-spam protection
    Automatic replay saving and archiving with easy search from a website
    Game/replay archive. And now this piece of crap making me to download that 28GB Reforged client that looks worse that my 18-years old game and runs way slower, dont have even 50% samer content, Why???

    Blizzard! Why are you taking away from me my favorite RTS game of all time I bought with my hard earned money and have been playing and supporting all these years? I just hate this game. this game not only is the worst remaster I have ever seen but it killed and destroyed my favorite game.

    In beta, we told the devs that the game was not ready. Connection issues, FPS issues, less features than the original, and no way for us to test the campaign (so we didn't know about the cinematic fiasco). Instead, they released it. It'll probably get patched to be a decent game in a few years, but at launch? Avoid it, you're paying to beta test this.

    Misleading advertising and promotion of the game. Features missing on release. It should have been called Warcraft 3: Barely Re-Heated in the Microwave for 30 Seconds. Not Warcraft 3: Reforged.

    I am a Blizzard fan from 2003....it saddens me to see them go this down...but if they don;t get hey;re s*** together....things will go even bad. They were a company with huge love for gamers and passion for the games they own/created....sad...quite sad.

    This is a joke of a game. Corporate greed of Activision Blizzard is boundless. They not only released a crap product, they downgraded the old one, ruined custom games and stole IP of other people. Not only that they refuse refunds, censor people and ban them. Blizzard is no more and this game is its gravestone.

    But hey, at least they added a profanity filter, "blood = off" and a journalist difficulty.

    Please note, this 'review' of mine is of the UNforged WarCraft 3. This is just baseline WC3 no special doodads or addons as per the reforge patch. I've since modded the game to revert it to the 2012 patch and I call it the "Preforged Total Conversion" Blizzard told me this was literally impossible and to not even try attempting it, and I have the receipts for that too.    … Expand

    I would write a full review. But I refuse to put more effort into that, than Activision Blizzard did in developing the game and blaming consumers for expressing dissatisfaction. The Blizzard I grew up with is dead.

    Wc3 was mainly either melee maps or custom maps. Blizzard (dev) killed both. No more ranking (melee) & most custom maps don't work anymore. Why oh why... other than $, I guess.

    I am very sad to see one of my favorite games being "reforged" in to this shameful thing. A great way to kill the people that still play the game. I guess I will try and run my old CDs and if I can't, there are definitely other sources.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
