    Blizzard as we knew it is dead. All the key people went away. All that's left is a group of executives who don't really care for our beloved games, nor for the wonderful people who work there. All they want is to suck as much money out as possible from the company and its once noble name. Warcraft 3 Reforged is an epic fail, full of bugs and undelivered promises. The game clearly isn'tBlizzard as we knew it is dead. All the key people went away. All that's left is a group of executives who don't really care for our beloved games, nor for the wonderful people who work there. All they want is to suck as much money out as possible from the company and its once noble name. Warcraft 3 Reforged is an epic fail, full of bugs and undelivered promises. The game clearly isn't ready for launch and it is light-years away from the MINIMUM quality you would expect from a Blizzard product.     I was really looking forward to this game, cuz I never got to play the original version. However, I loved watching all the youtube videos about this game. Sadly it looks like ill never get to experience the game as it was in its prime. Sad they won't get my $30 or so......

    None of this would have bothered me so much if they'd kept the original WC3 client. I've been stripped of my CD keys and can't run the program I installed when I purchased the pre-release.

    Big joke from blizzard! Even a refund is hard to get. Promises over promises were made, and avtivision continues with destroying blizzard since 2 years.

    If you think 0 is an exaggeration then consider that this is: 1. Forced downgrade of an old game. 2. A game with promised and not delivered cutscenes. 3. An outsourced game, not terrible in itself but definitely there was some kind of problem.

    - Все ролики взяты из оригинала и не переделаны (за исключение битвы Артаса и Иллидана, но поверьте лучше вам не видеть эту дичь);
    - Абсолютно такая же ситуация со всеми кат. сценами в игре (все что показали на близконе в игре нет и никогда не было); - Переделаны только модели, но отсутствую: свет, тени, цветокоррекция и другие эффекты (отчего игра выглядит как    Итак давайте по порядку:
    - Все ролики взяты из оригинала и не переделаны (за исключение битвы Артаса и Иллидана, но поверьте лучше вам не видеть эту дичь);
    - Абсолютно такая же ситуация со всеми кат. сценами в игре (все что показали на близконе в игре нет и никогда не было);
    - Переделаны только модели, но отсутствую: свет, тени, цветокоррекция и другие эффекты (отчего игра выглядит как пластилиновые фигурки на нарисованной в пэинте земле);
    - Отсутствие оптимизации (игра тормозит на топовой железе во время взрывов построек);
    - Отсутствие режима ладдера (по сети играть можно, но системы рейтинга нет);
    - Неоднозначная озвучка (для олдфагов совершенно непереваримая);
    - Нестабильная работа как самой игры так и сетевого кода (ошибки и баги на любом месте);
    - Куцые настройки (нельзя в ui настроить действия или скилы на какие либо клавиши, игра скажет полезайте сами в uni файл и пишите строчки команд)
    - Ноль нового контента (тут даже писать нечего потому что ничего нет по сравнению с версией от 2003г);
    - Если у Вас был куплен старый Варрик, то теперь Вы не сможете в него поиграть (иконка просто пропала из лаунчера, теперь покупайте рефордж).    … Expand

    This game does an injustice to a flagship video game that practically made an era. The amount of dishonesty and utter distaste Blizzard shows its fans these days is truly an atrocity. This remake/remaster is a disgrace to its legacy. While technically functional and not all that bad to a new user, any veteran that rode this horse when it was new should be reasonably furious.

    No spoilers here. This game has been here since the early 2000s. Lamest remaster in video game history. Stick to your old WC3 CDs boys and girls. This one reeks of Activision's greed.

    That's one of my favorite games of all time. One of the first games i've ever played. I've been waiting this remake since it was first announced, it's so sad to the the current state fo this game and all lies Blizzard told us.

    Мы все привыкли к старому варкрафту и ожидали чего-то нового, а увидели лишь рескин и новую озвучку. Пусть в игре далеко не всё хорошо, но эта моя самая первая игра и именно провела по этому тернистому пути, за что я ей и благодарен. Я надеюсь, что Blizzard со временем всё доделают и исправят, пусть и не исправит этого провального выхода, но Варкрафт навечно в сердце.     Tried to play a custom game and it kept booting out to the to the find a custom game screen. It frustrated me to the point I ended up play AoE 2 with friends and had great time that instead.

    This is an excellent skin pack and as such I would of rated it high, but that was not what was promised at its high retail price. I was waiting eagerly since revealing this title on Blizzcon, but this lack of respect for great old Roc/TFT with this mess of REFORGED release makes me sick. Blizzard used to be known for QUALITY and releases being released LATE. This release was on time, and **** quality. Activision, eat **** and die

    If you enjoyed being lied to by a developer with false advertising this is the game for you. Missing promised features, dramatically worse cut scenes then what shown... Blizzard's standards just keep getting worse and worse. A bit like their metacritic score.

Das mag im Allgemeinen zwar so scheinen als wäre dies der unliebliche ZustandTrotz aller berechtigten Kritik und einem Unternehmen, das leider nicht von oberster Etage bis zur untersten Etage mit Herzblut für Videospiele und für Menschen, die Videospiele lieben arbeiten, sondern lediglich, und das ist auch so oder so ein Teil jeder Arbeitsgemeinschaft, nur eben nicht nur, für das Geld. Das mag im Allgemeinen zwar so scheinen als wäre dies der unliebliche Zustand unserer Welt, der Welt unserer menschlichen Vorstellungen und, die wir fast alle so auch aus- und mitleben, von uns erzeugt und allem vorran "Selbst Schuld", das wir uns nicht auf eine anderen Art zu leben einigen wollen, allerdings hat ein Unternehmen mit dieser Reichweite, diesem Budget, solch eine großen Anzahl an professionellen Mitarbeitern ganz schön in die Röhre zu gucken, wenn es solche Versprechungen macht und sie nicht einhält. Marketing und Qualitätsmanagement sowie die Führungsetage haben die Bank weg versagt, danke dennoch an die Entwickler, denn: Ich für meinen Teil habe Spaß an dem Schinken, auch, wenn da sicherlicher unendlich viel mehr gegangen wäre und ich mich auf solches eigentlich auch gefreut hatte.. bleibt dran, macht noch was draus' und lasst euch nicht einkriegen, auch, wenn ihr einen geringen Teil dazu beigetragen habt, so wie wir in unserer Weltgemeinschaft leben "macht ihr eben nur euren Job", so wie man es euch sagt, und ernährt damit Familie und mehr. Ganz so einfach ist das am Ende dann doch alles nicht, zumindest nicht, wenn die Menschheit es sich immer wieder schwer macht. Ein gutes Beispiel, wie immer mehr in die Hose geht, was unsere Gesellschaft hervorzubringen versucht.

    An alle, die nicht NUR Probleme mit dem Spiel haben: Habt weiterhin Spaß, dafür ist's da. Schlußendlich ist und bleibt es nur ein Computerspiel für 30 Euro. Und für 30 Euro hab ich einen schönen Nostalgietrip erlebt, der in Ordnung ist.    … Expand

    This is raw game. Disconnects, bugs. They removed custom campaign menu, there is no clan system, custom campaign maps are broken now, desyncs when playing custom games, insane lags, autoloss when game starts and over and over. Do not buy this game until Blizzard fix it.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Going from work at night, I imagined how I cut out the stratholme, did not go to bed until 2, to start the preload, I got up at 8. I start and feel that something is not right, the remaster cannot put it on the menu, but it turned out maybe, well, I’m launching an alliance campaign and at the cinematic stage, the first bells appear, the voice actor Minetila doesn’t hit her lips (there’s no lip-link), and after him it all started and I see **** bald patches on the sides of the screen, I remember demo 18 with a normal interface and I already feel the **** up, but in the game itself it’s not all so terrible with FPS. And now I'm ready to save the **** Timmy again, but the game counts my defeat out of the blue. Gritting my teeth, I get to the defensive mission for half an hour and the Vietnamese flashbacks again make themselves felt. And now, at 25 minutes, I understand that the mission is very easy compared to the regular version, but the game decided differently and failed the mission with nothing, blazing like Ragnaros, I finally got to the evil-minded stratholme and the mission specifically degraded compared to the original . Having filled 100 villagers, I watch the cutscene and the game crashes. Blowing all the progress to the dicks.
    I did not swear so long ago. It was very lamp, to get together in the Second World War classic after so much time and from reforging, I wanted the same feeling, but I got it, but you all know what I got    … Expand

The fact that I have to even type that is ludicrous. Even the WoW scene was largely a great success. To think that they would wind up like this is a damn shame.     I pre-ordered as soon as I heard about this classic getting a complete overhaul.
    Should have not done that, and should have requested a refund before playing a few missions as I cannot get my money back now.
    Game is not really an upgrade, you can see some touches of where it was updated but overall is a disappointment.

Launch day comes and I remembered that this isnt the same blizzard we had when this game came out. I played roughly 2 hours of this broken mess. And decided enough was enough, time to go back to the OG Warcraft. They merged the two games so thatI have played warcraft 3 since its original launch date, so naturally, I was giddy with excitement when I heard that it was getting a remaster.     What a utter disgrace! I was so hyped for this game. I absolutely loved playing the original back in the days. I was also a long time player of World of Warcraft and I even read the books. Too many bugs and black screens when cutscenes occur before and after like 50 times and the gameplay is buggy for no reason when I have only 3 units on the battlefield. I rather play the original than the remaster thanks and get a refund, oh right can't since Blizzard won't accept refunds.     Only played multiplayer. I have to quit the game about twice an hour because the client freezes up and there is now way to recover it. Custom games do not work at all. Mainly interested in that. uh and all the multiplayer games are lagging 1 second lag on every action. this was for about seven days before launch and release of the full game didnt fix anything. issues abound it is still aOnly played multiplayer.     The Right force players to adapt to new changes that is completely useless and distant from the original game, it was a dumb move as the new addition is only little or hard to notice, such as visual which you need to zoom over 100% to see.

    Also I can't seem to refund the game as easily huh..

    For months I promised my son the game would come and that we would play it together each night and grow our relationship. Then it was released in this state and my son looked me in the eyes and called me a liar because the game is nothing like the advertisements and videos we watched together . The last words he said to me were “ I hate you” as he and my wife drove away.

    Bonitinho, mas uma péssima experiência. A partida personalizada tem lag (como?), as cinematicas do trailer foram removidas do jogo. Várias vezes ele fecha sozinho depois de estar rodando por 1h mais ou menos, sem ter opção de salvar. A campanha também fecha do nada em derrota. Péssimo.

Until then the game lived mainly from its community and the costum maps. It was a perfect game all around. But Blizzard managed to patch the game dead. If you continually operate under this system, you find yourself in the situation you are in now blizzard. What was once a company people held strong brand loyalty and affinity towards, has been utterly eroded over time. These out if touch corporate yes-men need to realise the industry they operate in. People form attachments to these games. They are linked to fond memories, nostalgia, escapism, joy and friendship. If you continually take advantage of this loyalty and tarnish these loyal consumers memories, experiences and passion, you risk the pushback you are currently receiving. From a personal standpoint, its good for my dissertation as a case study on dated industry models as shown by activision blizzard, konami, EA etc. As a gamer however, its a disgusting insult to our collective intelligence and expectations when you released a half-baked, greedy and opportunistic product rushed out with the sole purpose of shareholder appeasement.     Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
