    A bad new game might deserve a four or a five, but Warcraft III: Reforged has committed the cardinal sin of dragging a good old game down with it. At the very least they should have allowed the original WCIII to be a standalone title, rather than wrapping up its terms of service (rest in peace custom games) and features into the new.

    I was so excited to finally be able to play this game.
    Myself and my wife were so utterly disappointed with the amount of bugs and crashes.
    This game should have never been released in January, it needs another year of development.

    I waited until December 2019 to prepurchase, I knew it would've been better to wait and actually see what they were going to do. They delayed, and I told myself that it was fine, they were just working hard on it, so on January the 3rd I prepurchased it, I couldn't skip the game that started everything for me, but boy oh boy was I disappointed in the product... Missions wouldn't start,I waited until December 2019 to prepurchase, I knew it would've been better to wait and actually see what they were going to do. They delayed, and I told myself that it was fine, they were just working hard on it, so on January the 3rd I prepurchased it, I couldn't skip the game that started everything for me, but boy oh boy was I disappointed in the product... Missions wouldn't start, prompting me instant defeat; I had fps drops only in certain zones of the map, making the gameplay really not enjoyable; once the game completely bugged out and I couldn't even alt+tab out of it, I had to manually restart my computer in order to use it. I issued a refund after not even 6 hours of "gameplay", because I only tried to actually play the game in those hours, rather than playing it.

    Blizzard, I really hope you manage to fix this game, or at least don't drag Classic Warcraft 3 in hell, along with this Abomination that you call "videogame". Such a shame.    … Expand

    This game is horrible! Can’t access the old version, this version has so many glitches! I can barely login and when I’m able to connect nothing happens. Stalls and you can’t play single player. This game is beyond disappointing! Whatever you do.... don’t buy it! If you’re a fan of the old version, this doesn’t even compare.

    They delivered a terrible product. I preordered this game and what they showed on their reveal in 2018. is a completely different game than the one we got in 2020. The cutscenes look way worse, the FPS is terrible and many other features were cut.

    THIS IS A MONEY GRAB.

    wc3 is an amazing game, however the reforge fails it. If you take out everything from the old game and just focus what the reforged brought then its a mess. The only positive light is the updated graphics, however not all the new graphics are great, some icons are hard to tell what its meant for. Crashes in games are more prevalent then it was before, slower loading times, and slowerwc3 is an amazing game, however the reforge fails it.     Ich denke zu den Enttäuschungen des Spiels brauche ich nicht mehr viel schreiben. Das wurde hier schon zur genüge getan. Vielmehr zeigt dieses Spiel wie weit sich Blizzard von den Spielern (und bislang treuen Fans) entfernt hat. Das zebricht einem das Herz.

    This is not a remake. This is a blatant cash grab akin to Bless Online. What makes this release worthy of a zero is the fact that they destroyed the capability of playing THE OLD 17 YEAR OLD GAME. Do not buy this, and if you did, get a refund ASAP.

    I have never bother to vote before for a game but Warcraft 3 was the only game i would always play on and off and have even bought the original a couple of times(after losing the keys) and even now if i lost them again i would gladly buy the original again.
    The reforged on the other hand is clear that its the WORST kind of cash grab...     This is not my Warcraft III. No way. Never. The announcement mentioned many really good features that would have rounded off the memory of this title. But none of that has remained. Simply disappointing!

    So I went to play Warcraft III: Realm of Chaos, Battle.net installed Warcraft III: Reforged instead, all offical WC3:RoC download links now download Reforged instead. The reason for the zero score is because we've all lost our licenses to RoC without a single comment from ActivisionBlizzard, only to be replaced with the buggy as hell, feature lacking, piece of crap that is Reforged.

    This has nothing like it was promised in Blizzcon 2018. There are lots of missing features and game is riddled with bugs. I was waiting to get fresh experience in Warcraft 3 campaign but I got same as original has. Why to pay 30€ of game you already own and it don't give you anything new?     I think people are judging too harshly and joined some kind of trash cult with the party. This is a re-make not a new game. They've improved the graphics re-balanced the and revived the servers for gaming. That's a big enough improvement over a game that they are making for hardcore fans, I don't think they were trying to make a lot of money on new players for old RTS games. Blizzard also got a deal with Netease so they are making money from that. The graphics are massively improved and the campaigns are legit to play thru. I don't understand where the scores of 0s come from. I bought garbage like Anthem and tried my best to play some of that boring **** game and still don't think it deserved a 0. You guys are gonna **** over Blizzard like this and thanks if there's no more Blizzard, then we won't be getting all these games we loved since middle school.… Expand

First it forced me to download 24,5 GB of bloatware, then it didn't allow me to play offline without BN account, and finally when I tried to log in it crashed with error... about 15 times in a row!     The game is not as advertised, killing creativity with the new EULA if someone creates the next DOTA in the game it's Blizzard's property! The game's instable etc etc etc. Remember when Blizzard took it's time with it's games? well this is not the Blizzard i grew up with!!!!!
    If you wanna do a remaster of an loved game don't rush it or this happens hope Blizzard learns from this!

    The game can't actually handle playing the Undead campaign on hardcore difficulty. I'm not even close to max unit cap but having to spam skeleton warriors early on as cannon fodder has the game lagging out.

    Either this game is broken, or my new Ryzen 3600X is a lot slower than the (18 year old) Athlon XP 2800+ that use to run this game without issue.

I have the old games and these new ones are just too clean the gritty textures of the original are gone with smooth grounds and oddly looking, character models. to me this game is simply lacking in heart it feels like it has been pushed out to make people happy without thinking about what made the original great. As a blizzard fan, I am disappointed, as a warcraft fan, I am disgusted. I hope they allow legacy editions of W3 given I bought the bloody games back when they were released digitally.… Expand

    It is a game called Warcraft III, so at least they lived up to that part of the advertising. Its just that not much else changed... Apart from improved resolution/scaling. Where is the improved UI and cutscenes etc.?

    This game is a sign of an industry that has lost its focus. It is no longer about the content or the fans. I don't know who is responsible, Activision holding blizzard at gunpoint or just a bad team. Whether this game is patched 1 time or a 100,000 times will not remove the damage it has caused.

    I wish this game was actually remade instead of merging with the old version.     Very good game, Graphics look nice and it's a classic. Very long Story with the superb Addon. I don't understand the hate this Game gets I like it a lot and you should buy it.

    The fact that this game is getting the reviews that it is is ridiculous. There is no way that this is a worse game than Fallout 76 or Anthem. I have spent many hours playing through the campaign and I have had a blast.

    I have experienced no technical issues either.

    But Maybe the roots will grow back in time :(
    All we can hope for is that they fix the following. 1. The portrait of some of the units (Look at "Kel'Thuzad" from the undead campain lmao) 2. The UI (PLEASE) 3. Glitches and bugs (Obviously) 4.     The above statement sums up everything. All they needed to do was re-skin WC3 and improve the optimization for battle.net. They promised more and delivered less. This release is basically investor deception with the intent to pad the Q4 2019 earnings of Blizzard. What is unfortunate is the damage they have done to the original game, which I have played since my childhood.

    The false advertisement its still on the official page .

    A disaster in every sense of the word. Even if one is prepared to be generous to a company who insists on rereleasing “updated” back catalog titles as tent poles this still misses the mark. Somehow sloppier than the decades old property they’re “updating” this sloppy and unpolished dud reeks of a cash grab.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
