    I never played Warcraft 3, neither have I ever been interested in its Reforged version, but I can't stand idly watching the video game industry dieing, being a gamer and playing some of Blizzard games.

    Beside the fake advertising, the fails, the lack of features, the red flags we should see and not let slide are the policies changes making Blizzard the owner of the content player create through their game, and the destruction of the old Warcraft 3.

    Failing a "Remaster" is something, forcing the players to replace the old, working game with it is a whole new level. It means even 15 years after the release, you're not safe from the editor screwing the game you bought by forcing you to download "patchs".

    Few mounth ago, Activision did something similar with Crash Bandit Racing, promising the absence of microtransaction, and implementing them 3 weeks later, pass the refound conditions.

    We buy a game, and if we don't want it to change, we should be able to keep the version we like. The contrary is an horrible view of the game as service era, which no player wants.

    This affair is not just an image of what Blizzard has become, it is, literaly, Activision Blizzard manualy destroying a Blizzard game.    … Expand

    Ламповость сохранить удалось, на новой графике стало приятнее играть. Компанию прохожу с удовольствием. Тем более, теперь у игры будут проводиться постоянные обновления и что-то где-то до крутят Терпение товарищи!    Warcraft will always be the best!!!

    Fully bugged. Doesnt even look like warcraft. Disconnects all the time. I used to play warcraft when I was kid and paid 30 pounds so I can relieve my memories. But this **** they made doesnt give me any feelings at all

Además arruinaron la versión clásica para imponer esto. Y a eso se le puede sumar el "robo" (ya que no se como más llamarlo) de todo el contenido que tú puedas crear.

    They have promised so much. they have included like nothing new.
    The graphics havent improved by much. the destroyed the old game merging it with the new system so they is no going back from now. 16 years of mods and community work died with this release.

The menu was lagging on my high-end computer, it was a web app! The minimap in the game was blur, saw nothing! The in-game menu and the graphics were worse than 2002. Absolutely nothing in the game was positive.     W3 was easily the game I spent most hours playing. I'd probably say it was the greatest game of all time, certainly the most industry-changing. Till just before release I'd come back and play custom games with my friends. All that seems pretty dead now. Perhaps worst of all, is how screwed map makers are getting.     Game doesn’t even come close to what they promised. They promised almost a new game, with tons of added cinematics and fully upgraded graphics but actually it’s just a bunch revamped character models.

    In all it’s a complete destruction of the original game, and since the refunded game is tied in with the original we are stuck with this pile of garbage and cannot play the game I used to love and enjoy. It wouldn't surprise me to discover that this happened due to the stake holders having business with the copyright holders referenced in that content. I would give it a 2 but at this point I'll give it a 0 for their poor treatment of their customers. If you want to do a good thing for the games industry don't support such a company.    … Expand

All custom games made by fans belong to blizzard now(unlike before). The cutscene in startholme that was advertised and is still being used to advertise is not in the game. I am disappointed that the only game i played for more than 15 years is gone now. I played nights avoiding homework, stress environment and meeting up with friends with this game!     I played the beta, then I watched my friend. His computer far surpasses the requirements for the game. Sound fails, auto defeat and other bad stuff.

    0/10 - unplayable and false advertisements for graphics, cinematics, and removal of ranked/custom campaigns.

    4. Необоснованно высокая цена. Я понимаю, что эту игру будут поддерживать лет 10, но зачем мне ждать 10 лет, чтобы дождаться пока эту игру вылижут до блеска. Я хочу играть в качественную игру сейчас заплатив за неё деньги, но мне под видом качественный игры подсунули дешевую игру.    … Expand

    How can a game be so bad that it can negatively impact people who haven't even bought it? It shouldn't be possible, right? I mean, you can usually avoid a bad game simply by not buying it. Makes sense. But this is an extremely rare case where even that isn't really possible, thanks to Activision/Blizzard. Features were removed, the TOS was updated with extremely draconian language, content was taken away, and people are forced to download 26 additional gigabytes of data that they can't even access unless they've paid for what is, at this point, literally just an update patch to the original game.

    Activision/Blizzard is actively destroying their own legacy with releases like this. They are destroying their own history. They aren't satisfied letting you have the games you already own and enjoy, unless you continue to pay up for new releases. And even if you don't, they will gut your favorite games and render them unplayable messes.    … Expand

    UI is somehow worse than the original PC game. Odd bugs occur throughout. Graphics aren't a large enough upgrade to warrant the things that have been ruined in this version.

    By now you must be asking why am I talking about finances and where is the review?
    Well there isn't one. Due to constant crashes and in-game bugs I could not get past the prologue and can't connect to any custom game (did not expect that from a Blizzard product). The only nice thing I can say it that the new models look dissent, not great but dissent, from what little I saw before the game crashed again and again and again....
    So to sum up "My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined".    … Expand

    This would be a much better game if it didn't completely trample and destroy the original game and actually kept some of its pre release promises, you can't even play the classic client anymore or many of the features. Even if you didn't buy this new version you are still stuck with it.

    I still have my CD version of the game and I'm glad I can still enjoy it without the reforged version.

    I was so excited to be able to play warcraft 3 again.. And I was even hoping to get a bunch of my friends back into it, so we could have Huge multiplayer battles that lasted hours, or play some custom co-op content.. But Blizzard has taken that all away from me.. Friends who never even seen the original, saw this one, and honestly thought I was playing a game from 15 years ago. the UII was so excited to be able to play warcraft 3 again.. And I was even hoping to get a bunch of my friends back into it, so we could have Huge multiplayer battles that lasted hours, or play some custom co-op content.. But Blizzard has taken that all away from me.. Friends who never even seen the original, saw this one, and honestly thought I was playing a game from 15 years ago. the UI is disgusting, The game runs max 40 FPS on a 2080ti graphics card..     the game crashes a lot. The client is a web browser-based client that suck up your CPU and slow down your PC

    Do you remember when Blizzard released good or decent games? I do. Blizzard used to mean that what you get was going to be a quality product. Butchering the original version of Warcraft 3 is really the greatest sin here. This is a step backward.

    2002 original is better than reforged one. It doesn't restrict custom games. Animation is 30fps not like 2020 game.

    Let's all play Warcraft 3 original from eurobattlenet or gameranger

    I love the new graphics but the fact that the cutscenes aren't redone is ridiculous. All I wanted to do was replay the campaign without the graphics freaking out and things like that band when I saw the new character models and the new opening cutscene I thought this was going to be amazing. And I found out, and this is less on Blizzards part but they decided not to add new cutscenes and to make the game fit better in the lore by working with Christie Golden which is so disappointing they would give in to the "fans" of the game when Christie is by far the best writer for the Warcraft series, books or games, and it was have been amazing to see new things added.… Expand

    Warcraft III: Reforged is a complete mess. It's false advertised, no upgraded UI, very buggy and a lot of missing features.

    This so sad...childhood ruined. I played Warcraft 3 back in the day, I'm not an online player just campaign. I was so excited when the initial trailer came out because I could relive my childhood on a modern PC and ultrawide monitor. I got the game and it just plays for a bit and crashes. Also no 3440×1440? and what's up with the GIANT UI. Sorry Blizzard you have some explaining to do.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
