    Very dissapointing remaster/remake of legendary game. This game failed in every aspect, everything in this game is bad.

    Graphics got better, but it's not a level of 2020 game. When you look at 2 screenshots of classic W3 and Reforged, you can't really tell a difference between them Sound was absolutely destroyed.     Sound was absolutely destroyed. As a russian player, for me localization was worsened, all these memories are gone. For an excuse, Blizzard totally changed localization, due to campaign changes (which had not changed at all)
    Gameplay changes, now everything got to TFT balance (even first campagns of ROC) which is not ok..
    No UI overhaul, no cinematics overhaul (4 hours of remastered cinematics, huh), nothing.
    Multiplayer has no ladder, it is absolutely pointless.
    Battle.net is a joke. There are no profile, no clans, global chat was worsened.
    Campaign was the last hope. Blizzard promised that they would change it to WoW canons, standarts. They promised some retcons. And there are no changes.
    Custom games, oh. Should I talk about them? Of course, Blizzard made new game-editor. BUT, they changed EULA that allows them to own every custom map, gamemode. Modders can't add any 3rd party custom models. This, no doubts, discourages all desire from modders.
    Some people report huge amounts of technical difficulties, bugs, lags, fps drops.

    Even though, Blizzard killed 3 games in one. Reforged, ROC and TFT.
    Now if you had a classic W3, you must download the all-new Reforged Warcraft. All your old, downloaded custom games will be gone. And even after that, you can't play your, 18 years old game, because all servers of classis W3 are dead, custom games are dead. And some players report that they can't play classic W3, they must buy Reforged to play classic.

    1. Играю на высоких настройках графики, но с тенями какие-то проблемы.
    2. Персонажи в целом неплохо выглядят, но вот npc (жители городов) замыленные, как будто просто сгладили полигоны на текстурах. 3. Озвучка героев на мой русский язык просто ужасна.     5. Шрифты в меню, словно документ оформляли, в office world и то есть выбор. В классическом варианте шрифт был куда удачным.
    6. Есть косяки по сюжету в разных моментах в прологе. Посмотрим, что дальше будет. 7. Понизил бы ещё оценку ниже, но надеюсь, что разработчики возьмутся за дело и исправят всё.
    8. Хотел вернуть деньги и это очень просто, но покупал я её по карте которую давно заблокировал. Поэтому надеюсь, что патчи будут выходить и исправят всё что нужно.    … Expand

    The most insulting piece of software I've ever laid my eyes on, I can't believe Blizzard higher ups sat down around a table, looked at this game current state, and approved its release with serious faces.

    This game is the biggest disappointment of 2020 so far.
    Here is my quick list of reasons why.
    1. Warcraft 3 original client completely replaced
    2. Custom Games is now IP owned by Blizzard.
    3. They lied about the game and continue advertising fake scenes that aren't in the game.
    4. Most importantly, the game runs terrible compared to classic.

    The graphics isn't up to par with modern standarts. Yes, models are having good textures and even more than three polygons, however there's no smoothness in animation, they look as if they are locked to 30 fps and if to be more exact - to 24. Why? The excuse was: To save the -mechanics-, but of course, uh-uh...

    Color pallete: Much bleaker than in original.

    Performance: Piss poor.

    Multiplayer: Lacks ladder and rating.

    You thought that they might've fixed old bugs? Ummmh. Well, the didn't. And added new ones.

    Should you buy this parody on a remaster? Your choice, but I wouldn't have. Maybe in a year or two, on sale and with fixued issues, but now - do please stay a cannon shot away from this thing.    … Expand

    Like most out there, I logged in just to warn people about this game, the promises we all had back in 2018 were too good to be true, yep. Exactly to good to be true. Turned out Blizzard doesn't care about their users just like they did with pretty much all their games. Not only that they called this Reforged to get away with the fact that they changed so many things in-game.     I'm so disappointed with this game. It's sad to see a beloved ip, being destroyed like this. I really hope that Blizzard learn from their mistakes.

    Created an account just to ask this: What has happened to you Blizzard? You have forgotten your values and forsaken what made you great. Activision has destroyed you.

    I really feel for the old guard of your company, they must feel infinitely worse looking at the sorry state you are in now. My fond memories of Diablo, Starcraft, WoW and Warcraft will sadly now always remain just that, memories.

    I don't understand what blizzard was thinking with this. Removal of cross-realm play makes it harder to play TD and RPG-games which are what I mostly play in custom games since lag isn't usually a big factor in those but doesn't even matter since they also deleted all my downloaded maps. 18+ years of history and custom content down the drain for no reason.

    This is a broken mess that doesn't deliver what was promised, and features that were available in the old Warcraft 3 is no longer available. Not even if you try to play the original game, as you are forced to use the new client.

    Completely unacceptable.

The cutscenes look way worse, the FPS is terrible and many other features were cut.

    I used to love Warcraft 3 back in the day, but having like 3 improvements (better graphics and updated sound and the new Battle.net infrastructure, although this is in more than 10 ways a bad thing but I'll let it slide as a positive) and SO MANY NEGATIVES that it's unbearable and then not even being able to get a refund for this just goes to show how low this company has sunken.     Very glitchy and keeps freezing on me. Tried reinstalling but in the end deleted whole game and will be asking for a refund definitely!!!

    False Advertising, Blizzard did not produce what they promised. They failed to give this otherwise incredible game the respect that it, and we, deserved. I had been looking forward to this release since they announced it. Now I wish they had left it alone, because it was better before they "made it better"

    This is my first review on metacritic ever. 20 years of playing 1000+ games and I never felt this feeling before. The feeling I need to rate a game. Blizzard was really special. They made games that was like perfect for me and many others. This is just a TRASH. Maybe kind better in graphics but worse in every other aspect. Ladies and gantlemans, this is Warcraft 3 Refunded.

    Steaming pile of horse **** Made me lose hope of the future of games made by Blizzard and this "remake" trapmples on all of the fond memories and friendships that I and many of my peers made while playing this game. To add salt to the wound, they even make maps created by unique individuals become Blizzard property. Nice lol

    This is not what I hoped for. Such a waste of resources. I don't even know how you could ruin a perfect game like this just because of greed. I'm so happy age of empires 2 definitive edition is perfect in everyway so I could play it instead of this garbage. Blizzard should be ashamed.

    This is the only game, that runs such poor graphics, that somehow has the capability to tax my PC into oblivion. I had to uninstall, reinstall, and then wipe my whole computer to factory settings after the game crashed my HDD. This is rediculous, not recommending this game to anyone.

    This cannot be a "reforged" version, at best a "refurbished" version. No new cinematic, the graphism have just been upscale, no updated UI for 4K... Minimal effort, maximal cash.

    What a heap of trash this game is. Took a 15 year old game and downgraded everything about it. Now I can't even play my old copy of Warcraft 3. Tack on the bait and switch marketing, greedy and shady refund policy, and the communist leanings...I am done with Activision Blizzard products for the foreseeable future.

Виноваты в этом сами Blizzard, но при этом вина их не столько в неумении или нежелании сделать хорошую игру, сколько в жестко установленных (ими самими или же боссами из Activision) временных рамках. Перенос даты релиза на январь – это правильное решение, вот только переносить нужно было не на 2020, а на 2021-ый год. Уверены, что старые Blizzard так и сделали бы. Уверены, что Blizzard современные так сделать просто-напросто не могут.… Expand

    На игру, секунду, за которую полюбили близов почти 80% её старой аудитории ещё не ушедшей до абсолютного съезда на дно.
    Мало того, что они отдали ремастер левым разрабам, так и ещё обманули с релизом игры, просрочив его на год. И НИЧЕГО ПРИ ЭТОМ НЕ ДОДЕЛАВ ДО КОНЦА!

    Стилистика- ДНО.
    Кастомки и права на них -Дно.
    Русская озвучка-ДНИЩЕ
    Ладно если бы ремастерили простую игру, НО ОНИ ЗАПОРОЛИ ЛЕГЕНДУ!

    They delivered a terrible product. I preordered this game and what they showed on their reveal in 2018. is a completely different game than the one we got in 2020. The cutscenes look way worse, the FPS is terrible and many other features were cut.

    THIS IS A MONEY GRAB...

    Este juego es una jarta de mentiras. Me atrevo a decir que no han implementado nada de lo que prometieron, lo único que han hecho es es retocarlo todo lo mínimo posible para que no sea posible denunciarles y poco mas. Una pena, creo que lo tenían demasiado fácil y le han fallado a su comunidad. Os recomiendo hacer refund a modo de crítica.

    WC3:R has only one true competitor in the market. And it's Warcraft 3/The Frozen Throne expansion.
    So effective with the launch the download-installer of the classic games, or a patch of the CD-Version will automatically download the "WC3:Reforge" Client, with all the drawbacks, the disk space requirements and new EULAs to sign.

    They managed the performance to not only make a game worst than original but to retroactively ruin the ORIGINAL GAME.
    I wish I could still ask for a Chargeback from Visa. If you can still call your banks :D

    just new skins with **** performance. also, the netcode is completely broken, the interface feels sluggish and there are still too many bugs for this to be a proper release... Not to mention that the old wcIII is also broken because of this... What happened to you Blizzard....

    Got it, played it.
    Did not deliver what was shown and lots of functions are deleted from the warcraft 3 nonremaster.
    Might have been too rushed to be honest.
    Hopefully future update will fix that.

    Old blizzard is dead, and now there is only this machine that needs to make the shareholders happy.

    Diablo 4 will also be destroyed by these men.

    I am very disappointed. WC3 was my favourite game of all times, I even made some maps for the community and had many friends playing this game. I thought maybe some of my friends would come back to play this game with me, but then this happened and I can't even play the old version anymore.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
