    Absolutely disgusted about what they have done, I didn't mind the new reforged version (for the most part) however being unable to use the old client and all maps belonging to Blizzard, losing 100's of hours of work, that's insane.

    I cannot believe how trash this game is and how blizzard could back stab its own loyal fan base. Graphics so terrible, there is literally no anti aliasing. The classic graphics were downgraded very much as well. Even worse the original game is gone! Shame on you blizzard.

    It's a worse version of the original game in almost every way. New graphics look terribly out of place, the game has lost much of it's charm. And that's about all the new things you get. Everything else was either not delivered as promised, or even removed from the original game. If you want to play a worse game than the original, I suppose you found the right game.

    The lies from blizzard, even just the supposed 4 hour cinematics thing, it's just too much. The company is disgusting and this game is a pillar of their filth. Deleting the original game that actually functioned, the RIDICULOUSLY anti-consumer new EULA in regards to custom games; the list is endless.     This was an absolute cash-grab from a degenerated, previously famous game producer.

    It's unplayable because of bugs and crashes. The graphics are just plastic and ugly. The character portraits look like the characters got heavily sedated and can barely move their face.     The style was very poorly chosen. Everything is exaggerated making characters look like caricatures (example: character wielding a hammer almost as big as him). It looks like a joke.

    Blizzard lied about what this will contain. No improved cinematic cut-scenes, no extra gameplay elements, no nothing. It was all a lie.

    The campaigns are now so easy you can easily beat them while semi-afk. It's like... what's the point of it all if it's so easy?

    Everything you now make (with your own ideas and hard work) in the wc3 engine is Blizzard's. This will prevent any good games ever being made again in wc3's custom game engine. If someone is confident that the stuff they make is good they won't put it in wc3 anymore.

    Also, you can no longer make custom game involving other franchises (if I want to make a Dragon Ball Z custom game for example.... well, It will be removed, no matter how good and fun it is).

    and, WORST OF ALL

    They ruined the original game, the one I bought in 2006.
    The amazing, original game lobby and b.net are gone. No more ladders, no more clan/race/etc channels, no more nothing.

    and this is only the tip of the iceberg, tons of more problems exist.

    I cannot even begin to fathom the mindset behind the entire dev team on days before and the day of releasing this product to consumers. In no way shape or form was this more than but an alpha test riddled with bugs and horrible decisions. I cannot recommend this not for a VERY long time.

    Honestly, I didn't pre order the game, I bought it on release day and played through the campaign entirely at 4k res max settings, I have an RTX 2080 ti. I enjoyed my playthrough entirely and had smooth performance without any bugs nor did i see any reviews and formed my own opinion of the game. Its still WC3 I loved years ago but prettier.

    Buyer Beware!!! All sales are final for this game. Game crashed like crazy, couldnt access custom maps, erased all of my progress, and terrible graphics! Wort part? You cant get your money back!

WC3:Reforged is a mix of falls adv, bad presentation and absurd Blizzard behaviour. I want ot give it a zero, but still there is a game. If content is advertised but not in the game at launch, it's false advertising. Warcraft 3 along with KOTOR and elder scrolls were games that made me fall in love with the medium.     BUT I also have to say you guys are severely overreacting. Why does giving a 0 give you guys so much pleasure? I really don't understand.

    The units and textures have been polished, and actually do look very good. The gameplay still stands, and to this day is still one of the best RTS experiences you can have on any platform.

    I cannot give the game a positive score, but I won't follow the blind fanboy rage and give it a 0 either. The problem with Metacritic score is you only dish out 0 and 10. Just look at the game for wat it is, a good revisitation of a classic game, which doesn't hold up to the promises made by the publisher.

    4/10 for the things that are good about it: story, campaign, graphical polish on units/buildings/tiles. Negative because of the lack in features and withheld promises.    … Expand

    This is, without a doubt, the worst video game release of all time. To completely destroy a TRUE CLASSIC like Warcraft 3...well, it takes an Activision kind of special REE-tahr-did to accomplish this.

    There are missing features which were in original WC3, false advertising regarding the new cutscenes, draconian new rules for custom maps, the fact all these issues affect the original game even if you didn't buy Reforged.

    The list goes on and on..

    Not only did they launch an unfinished, incomplete shell of what was promised but Blizzard Activision gutted the functionality of the original version. Even those players who wanted nothing to do with the remaster are being punished. Patch away Blizzard. Becoming even worse then Bethesda and EA..

Honestly if you thought of purchasing this please do your research because there's just too much to list here. Stay away. Blizzard needs to course correct or learn the hard way.

    Bait and switch. The only thing they did was slap on a fresh coat of paint. Got my refund. Blizzard's soul has been irreparably damaged by their new lord and owner Activision.

    Such a damn shame.

    Been playing the game and I just don't get the uber negative reviews. It looks and plays way better than it ever did in glorious widescreen with updated models. Did I get a different version than the rest of the people? I am currently only playing campaign again so I don't know about the multiplayer problems.     Tried to play custom games all night, everything was broken. Could not host games, could not join my friends games. Could join random games and pvp! This feels like a bad alpha. I've seen asset flip games on Steam with more polish.

    Этот ремастер не стоит и гроша. Лучше пойти в оригинал 2002 года поиграть. А если он ничего не стоит то и оценка соответствующая. Не забудем также добавить сюда невыполненные обещания и откровенную ложь. Метелица похоже доживает свои дни как это ни печально. Хотя в метелице из людей что работали там почти с самого начала студии остались единицы. Так что нынешние Близзард это уже не те чтоЭтот ремастер не стоит и гроша.     I still kinda believe in Warcraft III: Refund but now at this stage i'm more than just a little disappointed. Money rules the world and Activision squeezes the **** out of Blizzard.

I really really hope you are working hard on a patch to fix the game and include what was promised. This is No Man Sky all over again!

    You feel like a billion dollar company looking to once again capture the nostalgia of games of old would be better at coming up with a crappy reskin game. The game plays awful. Units locked into animation that looks worse than Dune 2000 and random disconnects and "mission failed" randomly through campaign mars what could have been a good game.

    For the upcoming 2018, I liked the beautiful models, and they were changed for the release of the game. Engraving of infantry shields (Alliance) changed, there was a symbolism of "lorderon" and now it is not, Russian voice acting hack, where bright cut scenes, increasing the resources of units, additional companies

    None of that would matter to me, I had no intention of ever buying a cash grab remake/remaster such as this. Despite my intention, Blizzard had other ideas. I bought the original Warcraft III 17 years ago and I still play it from time to time because it's one of my favorite games ever. Blizzard decided that not only should the poor unfortunate souls that purchased Reforged suffer from it's unacceptable mediocrity, but those of us that own the original should as well.

    Blizzard patched the original copies of the game with a 25GB patch to add in all the "new models and textures", shut down the old game's online services, and somehow added in all the terrible bugs from the new version. Blizzard more or less stole from me a game I bought 17 years ago in a sad attempt to cash grab people who still play the original. Now if I want to enjoy my Warcraft 3 I must do so online only for single player, no classic custom maps in multiplayer, and bugs galore. It's insane why anyone thought this would be a good idea.

    So this is my review of a patch for a 17 year old game that has made it almost unplayable. I hope you crash and burn soon Blizzard, watching what you've become makes me so very sad.    … Expand

    Ordered this game in 2018 ($40 spoils of war), astonished how terrible it is when it finally launched in 2020..

    I was so excited for a rush of new and old blood (players) back into the game, only to be crushed with this awful release... the worst release I have possibly ever seen, especially for a game that was basically sacred to countless players.

    Nintendo remakes Links Awakening in 2019, a Gameboy game, phenomenally... then we get Blizzard defecating on the grave of wc3.. Blizzard should just leave their legends in the past and disintegrate as a company.

You can't recognise them, also you often can't connect to the game 1x1. Even load replay function disapears... The main function on competitive games right now, makes a tons of troubles(without bnet, bnet bring much more horrible user expirience).

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.
