    This is the worst Blizzard game ever. The old Blizzard is gone forever. It has been taken over by Activision. Bobby Kotick, J Allen Brock and Ion Hazzikostas have ruined the company and the games they oversee. Fire them all before it's too late!

    It's absolutely absurd that this was ever taken out of beta. This game is fundamentally worse than it's original release. We were promised an improved experience and no one has gotten that.

    People are so underrated this game just because they got something against Blizzard.

    The game are no where perfekt no, we did not see the new cutsences, but unless that, the gameplay is fine and the improved graphic are not the worst in the world. Im glad that I bought this.

    Buggy Servers, Old Warcraft 3 is gone, Cutscenes are way worse than shown in in game footage, mods are fully copyrighted by blizzard so if you make a good mood they will eventually make money out of it, missing features and so on.
    In short: DO NOT BUY THIS GAME they even ruined the old one + false advertising

    crash bugs. they broke what worked in the classic game. it is impossible to play. I don't recommend I played during the alpha test and after , I didn't see any difference

And what's even worse is that they want to steal polished custom maps from users and are unable to apologize for all this BS! Get a refund if you already bought it, don't waste a minute of your time on this.

    Its not "Reforged". Its a disgrace. So many bugs encountered in the first 10 minutes of gameplay. The main menu is lagging. Also experienced some crashes during gameplay. Just play the vanilla Warcraft 3. Its 1000 times better.

    Blizzard have massively dropped the ball here. I will never give them another penny until they sort it out. They have let down a generation of gamers! This is a great shame, i remember a blizzard of old making brilliant games. Now they cant even bring back one of there decent games.

    Game doesn’t even come close to what they promised on blizzcon 2018, they promised almost a new game, with tons of added cinematics and fully upgraded graphics but actually it’s just a bunch revamped character models, I barely see any difference between old 2002 and the new reforged terrain, new models become awkward sitting on top of the old 2002 graphics, it feels like just a half-doneGame doesn’t even come close to what they promised on blizzcon 2018, they promised almost a new game, with tons of added cinematics and fully upgraded graphics but actually it’s just a bunch revamped character models, I barely see any difference between old 2002 and the new reforged terrain, new models become awkward sitting on top of the old 2002 graphics, it feels like just a half-done job to grab some money since they are charging almost what a new game nowadays cost.     - Better graphics ? You wish. The difference is minimal between this and a game that I was playing while still in primary school.

    - No new UI when it was promised, pathing for your own units is all over the place. Can't keybind in a RTS in 2020.

    I remember the first game I ever saw was my brother playing warcraft 3. I would sit behind as he played some dbz map as baby Vegeta. Ever since I wanted to get my hands on the game. I played the classic warcraft 3 and it was one of the most amazing games I ever played. This is the destruction of what I loved. Bad games came and I didn't care. But this ruined a good game. screw Activision-Blizzard.

    So I was about to write a comprehensive list of things that are just so wrong with this game but then decided that its enough to highlight the issue that hurts the most and makes many of us feel betrayed, namely Blizzard adding a new cheat code for their own exclusive use: "all your maps are belong to us."

    • Key Problems for me (Custom Map & Campaign Player)

    - No new UI or UI Scaling options.
    - No new cut-scenes (they have been improved upon but nothing close to what was promised and showcased)
    - New models are nice but don't fit with their surroundings (Cartoony terrain & buildings vs dark and gritty models)
    - Colouring in the game has been changed, much darker and harder to focus on.
    - Feels as if I'm playing the 2002 version, extremely hard to notice changes apart from the new models.
    - Sound seems the same, nothing improved? no new soundtracks, etc.
    - Copyright issues with lots of Custom Maps (Blizzard own all user-created custom maps and won't support anything that could lead to a copyright claim)
    - Camera Zoom still capped extremely close to the screen.
    - High $30-40 price compared to other 'Remasters & Definitive Edition' games also on the market which clearly had a lot more work put into them.
    - Terrain detail actually seems worse despite being higher resolution, when you compare the old WC3 terrain next to WC3:RF, the terrain in the old WC3 has a lot more detail. WC3:RF terraiin is very smooth and lacking detail.
    - Character Animations: This links to the cut-scenes again, the characters interact with one another like mannequins - mostly it's just the head that moves left and right, they look so stiff and awkward.

    • Summary:

    From someone who plays a lot of remasters (Final Fantasy, Age of Empires, Commandos, Company of Heroes, Resident Evil & more) I can safely say that this was a extremely lazy remaster by Blizzard, there simply wasn't enough passion or skill that went into this remaster, it literally feels like a cash-grab (and an expensive one at that)

    Since the new models in-game were produced by Lemon Sky Studios and this is really the only key improvement shown in WC3:RF, it makes you think - what exactly did I pay Blizzard $30-40 for? Surely I should of just paid Lemon Sky directly.

    WC3:RF is not a bad game since it's literally just 2002 WC3, the reviews are so low because of broken promises and expectations being shattered, this is just a really lazy remaster of a game.

    • Final Conclusion:

    I expected more. I always have high expectations for Blizzard but sadly after this, I will never have high expectations again. I've lost complete faith in Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 now as well.

    If you are looking for some excellent examples of what a good Remaster/Reforge/Definitive Edition should be - look to Microsoft and the Age of Empires series, they are owning that. They have done magnificent jobs and improvements across the board of both AOE1:DE and AOE2:DE. Then you compare the level of work that went into those Definitive Editions and you look at WC3:Reforged and you just feel completely let down by the level of work that did not go into Reforged.

    If you have never played WC3 then sure pick up Reforged and I'm sure you'll have a good time with it (but) it does feel extremely dated still, it does not feel like a 2020 game. It feels as if you're still playing the 2002 game    … Expand

    I have never played Warcraft III before Reforgedr and thought that hey, this is as good of a chance as any to try such a classic. But now all I get is trash, and I won't ever be able to experience the true game people loved so much. I have lost a lifetime opportunity, and the new Blizzard is to blame : (

    I love Warcraft III but this "reforge" does not live up to expectations. Not only is it just a reskin but they removed core multiplayer features. The cutscenes are lacking as what was shown in the marketing, and there are even technical issues on my high end computer stutters and runs at low framerates for a few seconds.

    It really hurts what Blizzard has become these days.. especially when you grew up with Blizzard Products. I expressively distance myself from this company in its current state. Warcraft 3 Reforged is propably one of the biggest scams in gaming history.. They not only delivered a completly unplayable game but also killed the old warcraft 3 since they forced a downgrade upon us..

    Making a cheap cashgrab with uglier graphics is one thing (i don't really blame blizzard for the graphics, they forgot how to code and therefore don't know how to write an engine anymore).
    However dDowngrading and removing features on the original game is another. Blizzard really outdid themselves on this one.

    They also inserted language that states that any mods made to this new one, they own. Not the creator. WTF!? There are no new cutscenes! No new environments that are matching the WoW world. Re-model and reskin, the bare minimum.

    They also did the menus as a web page, running in Chrome. What kind of janky, low budget, crap is this? This is one of the best game devs in history falling down to the level of web flash games with punch the monkey quality.

    I'm so very sad.

    You can't even play the original anymore because they've taken it away.

    Take your mobile diablo designed by 3rd part devs, take your web driven, not remastered WC3 and shove it.

    False Advertising! Absolutely Disappointed! Blizzard has failed this game completely! Having already given up on WoW, and other Blizzard games and now this?! I don't even believe other Blizzard games will ever be good again. I was excited for this game and Diablo 4 but I have no faith left in Blizzard and no longer have interest in Diablo 4, I would only be disappointed again!

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
