    Original WC3 was one of my favourite games growing, with the announcement of WC3 Reforged being an enhanced remaster with updated cutscenes and so forth I was vastly excited. The final products however is a far cry from what was originally advertised, it was the first time in years I immediately refunded a game in less than 1 hour

    No VS CPU match.
    No ability to reconnect to a online match and automatic lose.
    Server are a bit laggy, no clan, no chat command, they even erase all my progress on the original and remove my friends list and game from the original game.
    False advertisement.

    At least the model are nice.

    But no, hell no dont buy it. ask for the refund

    Don't wanna talk more about this game industry mistake. What I've got while playing: 1 blue screen while trying to play campaign, random game crashes, not being able to join friend's invite to the lobby, different lags. Totally disappointed. It should cost 2 dollars but not 20.

    The Release of Warcraft 3 Reforged is a masterpiece in how you screw over your customer. This is plain simply just a "down-grade" of the game. I would not advise anyone to buy this game.

    The graphics in this game are laughable. I figured since they delayed it several months they would actually work on finishing it. Not sure what they did with that time.

    The whole game is just a blanket covering the major terms and policies rewriting trying to scam players. Old bugs from original W3, bunch of new bugs, broken balanse, unfuffiled promises and almost non-existent re-texture - that's all you gonna find here. They even removed national localisation's voice acting. So in fact, this "reforged" version offers you less than original game.

    This game is downright FRAUD. Most of the advertised features are not present, it barely works and they even made the classic version worse in retrospect.

    Blizzard has no respect for it's fans anymore and I will happily join any class-action lawsuit over this insult of a game.

    They should have called this a remaster instead of reforged. The new models look amazing & well detailed & the new terrain looks slightly better. The biggest disappointment was that they did not give us the new UI or reforged cutscenes as shown in the blizzcon demo.

    As a 15+ years player of the Warcraft III universe, I was so hyped about the prospect of Reforged that I pre-purchases it, anxious for its ingame cutscenes, UI, and specially the coming back of my beloved World Editor. Now that the game launched, not only were the cutscenes, cinematic and other lore improvements not verified, but the new clause regarding ActiBlizzard now owning each andAs a 15+ years player of the Warcraft III universe, I was so hyped about the prospect of Reforged that I pre-purchases it, anxious for its ingame cutscenes, UI, and specially the coming back of my beloved World Editor. Now that the game launched, not only were the cutscenes, cinematic and other lore improvements not verified, but the new clause regarding ActiBlizzard now owning each and any custom game made, made my heart break and shiver. I now lost my final attachment to the game as it is, as the Company I believed and fell in love with more then 10 years ago is no longer there. Not only they would never enforce this type of greedy and toxic approach to the people who have been keeping this universe alive for the past decade, but it clearly is a demonstration that this is no longer a gaming Company, but only a stock holder bank for digital money grabs. Сразу же оформил предзаказ и почти каждый день заходил на офф сайт посмотреть новости об игре но их не было.Уже тогда я начал догадываться что что-то идёт не так( а когда игра вот вот должна была выйти её переносят на месяц я расстроился но всё ещё продолжал верить что игра будет бомба.В конце концов когда она вышла я дошёл до кампании орды и перестал играть.Всё что они добавили это 1 новую миссию в прологе.Всё что я получил:Ложные обещания,баги,разочарование,пустые надежды,плевок в душу.… Expand

    For the first time in my life, I am writing a review here for a game. Out of a sense of nostalgia yesterday I bought this "incredible" game. Incredibly reckless and buggy game. Blizzard is rapidly approaching Befesd’s company in failure. At the same time refuses to refund for this shame!

    This is an insult to all Warcraft fans, Blizzard basically took down the Warcraft 3 Rebirth mod (which was available for free) and essentially made it themselves to sell to you only it's inferior to the mod in every single way. Boycott this godawful company!!!

    What a mess of a game, just to NAME A FEW: no competitive ladder, no proper multiplayer matchmaking, bugs, removal of features which were once in the original game, horrble UI full of bugs, no single player custom games, constant dropouts in multiplayer games, HD reskins don't match unit animation... etc etc and more!

    i have owned warcraft 3 reign of chaos and the frozen throne for almost two decades and i cant play it with their features anymore and i have to put up with bugs they intruduced in reforged. I will not pay for reforged and i want to play wc3 the way it always has been. Pull it off from fron current Bnet. Bring it back to wgere it was.

    Not only did they fail to deliver a product even remotely similar to what was advertised, the actual game is plagued by disconnection errors, desync, unit movement capped at 20fps, they also butchered the classic client and stripped away important features of the game(clans, ladder, custom games offline or vs ai).     Оказалось что они просто сделали HD-текстурпак и нагло обманули людей. Они обещали что всё будет в порядке, но по итогу: 1. Разработку игры отдали на аутсорс. К игре сами Близзард не притрагивались. 2. Изменили правила использования контента в пользовательских картах и модах, по сути убив эти самые моды и    Обещали нечто новое, обещали новые текстуры, крутые катсцены и прочее полезное.

    Оказалось что они просто сделали HD-текстурпак и нагло обманули людей. Они обещали что всё будет в порядке, но по итогу:
    1. Разработку игры отдали на аутсорс. К игре сами Близзард не притрагивались.
    2. Изменили правила использования контента в пользовательских картах и модах, по сути убив эти самые моды и карты. Теперь всё, что было создано для этой игры, единолично принадлежит Близзард (чтобы не повторилась ситуация с Дотой) и теперь нельзя делать карты по интересным сеттингам (ведь любой копирайтнутый контент в пользовательском контенте ЗАПРЕТИЛИ). А ведь благодаря только этому баттлнет держался добрые десять (!) лет.
    3. Обещали изменение компании, но не изменили ничего вовсе. Всё осталось буквально прежним, только за это просят 2200 рублей. За что? За HD-текстурки? Обещали новые крутые катсцены, чего только стоили сцены на презентации, такая-то красота была. Даже обещали переключение между классической и новой кампанией.
    4. Сервера старого варкрафта 3 решили нагло отключить, чтобы люди не смогли вернуться к The Frozen Throne.
    5. Игра сырая, багованная и глючная. Я понимаю что Близзарду наплевать на своих пользователей и игроков, но чтобы проводить альфатест за счёт их кармана - это уже нагло и позорно.
    6. Старые функции работают не так, как работали в The Frozen Throne. Сеть нестабильна, игроки вылетают и дисконнектятся.

    Good game close to original, most custom maps work, if you got a good computer you don’t lag. Release was bad but they fixed it 4 hours in, and off working flawlessly now. 5/5

    Blizzard, you had ONE job: give one of the best games of all time a fresh new coat of paint. Instead the only thing you painted is a target on your backs.

    Then went online and saw all the things they scrapped. I refunded it immediately. As of now, this is just not worth 30 euros/dollars w/e. As someone who doesn't even really cares about in-game visuals, it added literally nothing to the experience. I just expected the game to feel more modern.

    I might repurchase it in the future, as I really love this game - and it has so much potential. But right now it's the biggest FU to fans of the series. I'm not willing to spend my money on the same product, that looks somewhat shinier, but is rotten from the inside.    … Expand

    When I heard the announcement of this game I was excited beyond words. I was worried considering how Blizzard fared throughout the past few years, but I still decided to support the game by pre-purchasing it early on. After the delay was announced I was relieved a bit, seeing that Blizzard is not trying to rush the release.

After the delay was announced I was relieved a bit, seeing that Blizzard is not trying to rush the release.

    After my initial relief I was surprised to see a release early 2020, but I was still thrilled to try out the game. What awaited me was not an overly healthy dose of nostalgia, but the worst gaming experience I ever had. This game being a remake, I expected Blizzard to cover most features the original game had. It turned out that 90% of those features were missing, and even the extra features Blizzard promised were only partially delivered, if at all.

    Instead of listing everything what is missing, let me describe you what the game contains:
    - A single player campaign that you need to be online to play. They also re-introduced several bugs that were fixed in the original, and the Reign of Chaos campaigns use The Frozen Throne balancing for no reasons whatsoever.
    - A map creator, which is hidden by default. Don't get your hopes too high thinking that you can get famous by creating the next DotA. Blizzard took legal actions to ensure that any custom game created by the company is their intellectual property.
    - Versus mode - not to be confused by ladder or matchmaking. It just finds random players for either 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 or FFA. This might not sound bad, but the lack of stats is a fatal mistake for the game. You might get matched against people who don't even know how to summon a hero, or against a veteran pro player. It is very rare to be able to play a balanced game. Connectivity issues, on the other hand, are very common. Every third of fourth game, the game fails to start. No error message or anything, you get stuck in the queue and have to restart the game manually.
    - New skins. Most of them look very nice, I would say Blizzard spent most of their resources on the graphics. The sad thing is that they are very detailed models that were made to look cool when zoomed in, but are very hard to distinguish and see in larger fights. Many units have the problem that it's difficult to see which player they belong to, as the team coloring is too subtle.

    Final verdict: Don't waste a single cent on this """game""" until Blizzard reflects on their failure and polishes the issues. Note that the game is not even in an alpha state, so I estimate that it would take at least three years of development to make the game stable and overall an okay experience. Just okay, which does not even come anywhere close to the legendary original.    … Expand

    Blizzard's greed 1:1. They made promises of awesome features and none of that was added to the game. This is PERFECT example why you should never ever pre-order. When you opened the game you are not eligible for refund, and if you wrote some alternative ways of getting your money back they will ban you on W3 forum. Eh Activision ruined Blizzard.

    I really wanted to like Reforged. I LOVE warcraft 3. It's a game that defined how I not only love Warcraft, but RTS/RPG/Army type games even. The game itself is still there, so new players will enjoy the game if it does not freeze and cause issues.

Not only did they release this poor excuse for a game, they releases a huge patch for warcraft 3 which removes/brakes tons of features and gamemodes. Other maps and gamemodes were banned due to copyright issues, this should not be a problem to begin with since we are talking about user made content. It wouldn't surprise me to discover that this happened due to the stake holders having business with the copyright holders referenced in that content. I would give it a 2 but at this point I'll give it a 0 for their poor treatment of their customers. If you want to do a good thing for the games industry don't support such a company.    … Expand

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
