    Love this game. Great memories. But what Blizzard does, broken promises, taking rights from people who wants to create content. Banning people who wants a refund. I don't understand how is this possible that during 2018 Blizz they showed remastered movies from W3 and now it is not in the game. You had ready product, just make it better not worse.

    Why would you remove old classic warcraft 3 battlenet and force people to buy new game?

    Campaing is almost the same just new textures and nothing much more.

    Custom games are more likley to crash in comparison in classic.

    I don't know why this game was delayed , coz the only new things here are new Backgrounds, loading screens and new models. Models are so ugly and out of place so it will make your eyes bleed.

    bought it the day was announced (also for the wow mount) the game is totally.. HORRIBLE! they just remake the mobs and buildings texture but the terrain is awfull.. no new UI.. and..... the CUTSCENE from ORIGINAL W3!!! are u joking??!?!?! a 640x480 cutscene in 2020??? what are this??? vOte : 0.. QA testers must've missed the prologue that repeatedly jumps straight to a defeat screen upon loading. Promised features like revamped cut scenes that looked absolutely gorgeous in trailers and demos are now nowhere to be seen.     I dont want event to talk about new TOA for custom maps...
    This whole game is one, very poorly made, 30/40 dollars mod...

    I was hyped to be able to play this classic in modern graphics with improved mechanics. What we got was more than disappointing and misleading. I hope blizzard finds a new path because this is getting embarrassing. RIP old Blizzard

    As for the game itself, this is not just a disappointment. It's a travesty where Blizzard lied through the teeth through their trailers and gameplay footage which looks NOTHING like the final product. The bugs are prevalent, the graphics look more like a lazy remaster, the UI is almost worse with no significant improvements, the cutscenes haven't been enhanced and BLIZZARD ARE ACTUALLY BANNING PEOPLE WHO ARE POSTING WAYS TO GET REFUNDS.

Playing the story of the fall of Archimond, Arthas becoming the LichKing or playing the tale of Illidan are still one of my favorite telling of all-time after the last of us.

    I'm a long time original Warcraft 3 player, but 2 days ago my 1.31 locally installed game was forcibly replaced by a Reforged version without a way to revert back. However, the classic mode in Reforged doesn't look or work like the original RoC and TFT at all. Plus my local installation suddenly blew up from 2gb to about 30gb.

    I never asked for this game, never needed it yet it was forced on me, it automatically removed a game that I had installed locally and did so without even giving me an option to opt-out from the "upgrade".
    Now it's apparently impossible to play the original RoC and TFT games short of installing from a 17 years old CD and not installing any patches at all or running the Battle.net launcher, otherwise the game again being auto replaced by Reforged.
    Blizzard literally took away a game from, a game I bought many years ago and was playing since. And the "Reforged" replacement doesn't look the same, doesn't work the same. Lack the features we've enjoyed for 17 years. This is just absurd, they've taken a really old game and instead of making it better, made it worse in every possible way.    … Expand

    Game was a disappointment. All the hype for the game and none of it was delivered. Game has bugs that wouldn't let me continue through campaign. The graphics to some of the cinematics were changes from when they introduced a year ago. Truly a let down on their part. Blizzard was know to have polished games and now they are unpolished

The quartering is the most popular and highly recommend going and watch his video on the topic.     When i was a child I grew up with titles like Diablo 2, Starcraft 1 Broodwar and Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos / TFT. To be clear i think thre are 3 majors reason to play this game back in the days, the campain, the ladder and customs maps(my personnal favorite). So as they    I would have really enjoy to put a solid 10 out of 10 on this particular game but as you can see i slammed a 1.

    When i was a child I grew up with titles like Diablo 2, Starcraft 1 Broodwar and Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos / TFT. To be clear i think thre are 3 majors reason to play this game back in the days, the campain, the ladder and customs maps(my personnal favorite).

    So as they announced W3Reforged i was excited especially after WoW Classic (sure le log-in what a mess at start but the soul of the game is still here).

    I was waiting this game like the messiah, the redefinition of what use to be a standard, not a hd package worth 30€, a real reinterpretation of the game, like rework cinematics for instance, new campain missions which focus on some of the characters like Jaina, new interface, rework cutscenes. None of this is actually present in the game. As many have said on Reddit, Blizzard forums and such, we even losed features, what a mess.

    -Game breaking bugs, with the insta-defeat upon finishing a cinematic
    -No Ladder
    -No clans
    -No profile
    -No dynamic camera cutscenes , just the old speech tab with a distant point of view
    -No UI Improvment, the ui take a third of the screen, and this get worst when you have all the speech/hint/quest text above all of it
    -Hd textures are awful, this is my perspective by the way
    -Extreme lagging and freezes on some map zones
    -Burning structures flickers when they are in fog of war (great for epileptics i guess)
    -Bad localisation, and mos important i as download 2 languages packages sometimes they mixed up and i have both french and english text when mouseovering on units...
    -Annoying sound bugs, like the murlocs death's sound animation triggering 15 times in a row, when you walk into water my ears started bleeding, but nevermind sometimes there is no music at all or your unit will stop talking.
    -Mini map is ugly and messy, again personnal point of view
    -Old unit selection limit, which would have been a improvement overall
    -New custom map economy model, which by the way destroys a third of the game, no Dota or things like that
    -No additional missions on strong wow characters as promised
    -unability to create a custom game, this bug is really frustrating you hit tha button "create" but nothing happens not even a text message in the chat
    -Forced jump to the W3Reforged files even if you only own W3TFT, with all the "Improvements" above, thank you actiblizz
    -Forgive me if i am wrong but i've not seen the rexxar narative arc

    But there is one thing that gives me headaches and i don"t see mentionned so often, the pathfinding.

    This is the worst i have seen in a long time, and for me this is a true nightmare. As far as know and upon testing multiple time your units will try to stand in the positions like the pattern in the bottom right corner of the map. But the actual game cannot handle different unit speed variations, so you end up with a unit split.

    For exampe, on the mission when you have to protect the kodos when playing orcs, thrall was standing still rotating himself before even considering to move 3 sec later same for the back units around him, to me that means that the game could not handle a simple order as "move" correctly, this is a big problem for a RTS, same goes for big units as the meat wagons which sometimes decide to not pass trought 2 buoldings when you select plenty of them, you have to drag them 1 by 1, it's a shame.

    I'll not talk about the ban problem occuring at the moment, I have no clue why they were banned for, but if this is true then actiblizz is like the china's goverment which is ironic in a way.

    For players comming from WoW this will not be a good experience, the story is pretty much the same and certain gaps still remain unfullfilled.

    For players discovering this world, it will not be good either, the game is still full of bugs and the clunkyness of it will tear you appart, try the original version first this game was a blast

    For players comming from the original game, oh boy, it will be heartbreakin lads.

    The most controversial point is probably the "remelted" ugly cinematics, the intro one has been redone you can clearly see it, but the others are just upsclale.

    I will finish on this, take Mannoroth for instance, the new model is awful certainly but he was reworked, in the cinematic when he appears nope, the same goes for Archimonde by the way, leading me to say that if there is no bridges between thoses you can clearly feel that the game has been rushed and actually in his launch state remains unfinished, even if they delayed the release by 1 month to polish it, laughtable.

    I would have love this game, really, but right now i can not recommand this pile of junk to anyone what a shame,, blizzard is digging his own grave since they merged with activision, the coffin is ready, Diablo immortal/BFA/FreeHongKong/W3R are your nails, and I as a gamer cannot agree with your vision any longer.    … Expand

    It's just a huge downgrade from the original, with multiplayer barely works (if at all), instant defeat from campaign and lots of broken promises.

    Warcraft 3 was the game of my childhood,was the first competitive game i ever played, and in the last 18 years i don't think i have gone back to a game anywhere near as much as i have gone back to warcraft 3, whether it was completing the campaigns for the 100th time or playing a few LAN games with my brother.     Incredible that Blizzard announced this in 2018 and couldn’t nail the relaunch of a game that already had a strong following and technical infrastructure. How they managed to **** it up after all the pre-order money came in? Cause **** customers, that’s how.

I remember seeing a friend play that game, so I convinced my parents to buy a PC so I could also play that game. I remember the countless hours of fun I had during the campaign. I remember my classmate declaring that there will never be a Warcraft IV, because the third is already so amazing that Blizzard could never surpass it.

    I remember when patch 1.21 hit and you no longer needed a CD to play the game. It was incredible. I felt never so proud to be a Blizzard fan. "They removed the DRM". In a time when DRM was not even a thing. It opened worlds.

    I remember sneaking into the PC lab at school to play Extreme Candy Wars 2004 with my classmates. I remember all the LAN parties we had playing Skibis Tower defense. All just because you made the game more accessible. At least 3 of my friends bought the game, because they saw during out LAN parties how much fun it is. It started the tradition of us meeting every year for my birthday to have a Warcraft III LAN that lasts to this very day.

    I remember the big chaos that came with the 1.24 patch that removed the return bug. I remember spending night after night in the world editor, trying to fix old abandoned maps that didn't work anymore. But it was worth it.

    I remember the hundreds of hours playing DotA via Garena and joking with my friends how a lobby took forever to fill up, but hosting "Island of Erotic Pleasures" would be filled in seconds.

    I remember playing YouTD during boring lectures at university. A path I only took because the World Editor woke my passion for programming. I remember proudly showing off my first programming I did in the World Editor to my mom and the countless hours I spent at the Hive forums looking at Damage Detection Systems for my map. I am a professional software developer now, and would not be in this position without this game.

    I remember when I could proudly proclaim to be a Blizzard fan.

    If you are one of those people who was playing campaign mode of WC3 at least once a year, this game will make you happy. Graphics are good, ingame cutscenes and story is really good.     Could it be better? Yes, I would of course expect every cinematic to be remade like the intro one, but as story goes, it's mostly ingame anyways. And we all should know how long a proper CGI cinematic work and effort takes, if you don't a lot! It would double the price and amount of time we had to wait.

    So, personally I would just lower my 2 points from that and maybe some lack of details like weather and atmosphere effects in 3D engine and interface resizing.

    But that's really all I can think about and these kind of small negatives surely don't make it a 1 or 0 at all. Not allowing custom maps to be owned by their makers is also very understandable, Blizzard just does not want another DotA incident that will create another DotA 2 and LoL.

    For me this is not what they promised. It is hard to launch the game and if you will be lucky it is lagging or crashing.

    Also after removing it you cannot play in old (working) version of warcraft 3 which you bought.

    I asked for refund.
    I hope that at least they will fix issues with the old version if not I will ask for a refund this as well.

    As always they delayed the game, did not release it in 2019 as they promised, and for what? They said "polish", but all i see is a big mess. Good thing i got my refund, its not worth even 10$. Ill stick to the classic game, much better, and will not buy anything from Blizzard ever again!

It's readability. Undead units make me sick, i don't really know what happens in the map when play as or agaist of undead. And it's not problem with me, in classic mode i have no problem with that. Classic mode is... just classic, with it's own bugs, when play on classic mode and multiplayer, there's no any fps drop, but game can crashed in any moment like rolling dice.

    But still i play many worse games than this one. I believe many problems may be fixed. It's a good balanced game, but with many technical problems    … Expand

    How is even legal to advertise the culling cutscene saying that is the quality of the cutscenes we will get and none of that are in the game. They had the opportunity to revive the RTS genre and failed miserably

    I didnt pay 30$ for a bug ass game that keeps crashing and same story telling with just improve graphic. Nothing has changed besides the way it looks. Not worth the price nor the effort of keeping relaunching the game.

    Beside this they still wanted to push the cash grab, and in the meantime, they even added a very user friendly policy for custom game. Well done blizzard, well done.     Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
