    Мой первый отзыв здесь. Вообщем-то это какое-то позорище. В игру не было принесено практически ничего нового так и то что было старое всё уничтожили. Куча багов, вылетов, и прочих косяков которых просто не должно было быть. И.... Мне честно говоря просто не хочется тратить на вас свое время и расписывать здесь всё остальное, что вы испортили ещё.     I dont normally post reviews for things but this game is just so bad I am compelled to. I played WC3 when it first came out and this game is definitely worse. How can you make a game worse after 18 years???

    For those who already bought the game, get your refund. WC3 Reforged is a **** show.

    Not only was the online feature with battle.net not working during the initial release, even the single player aspects and the cinematics fail to live up to the original release of the vanilla. Furthermore online gameplay lags and stutters even with a RTX2080 GPU which is far above the recommended specs of the game. One positive note is they are continuing to accept refunds for the game through their support tickets but that does not contribute to increasing the score for the title in any way as that is not a gameplay issue but a customer service issue.… Expand

    Its a shame it ended up like this. I was really looking forward to it. Thankfully, I got my refund. When asked why I was refunding I ticked technical issues because "you **** lied to me" wasnt an option.

    Custom multiplayer games were some of the best parts of WC3. They really legally locked down the creative freedom and the ownership of that work which is unfortunate for custom creative multiplier games that could have made online more fun.    … Expand

    Custom games were not just great from my childhood, it was THE great games of my childhood.
    For this reason I was really looking forward to the remastering in the hope, that it might restart the online custom gaming experience of my childhood....

I tried to find a vs match which didn’t work then decided to play the campaign which btw crashes literally EVERY TIME I try and play it, it crashes within 5-25 min into the campaign.     Чем больше играю, тем больше понимаю что это провал. И это при том, что у меня не было завышенных ожиданий от игры. Всего-то и нужно было, так это:

    - изменить кат-сцены на движке игры - внести больше небольших лорных изменений в кампанию по типу карт "Очищение Стратхольма" или пленение Сильваны. - завезти стабильность, давно ставшую визитной карточкой Близзард - оставить старую    Чем больше играю, тем больше понимаю что это провал.     Первое они уже частично реализовывали, второе плевое дело, над третьим они все равно заморочились, но зажали WoW'овский дубляж. И о как же это было прекрасно, когда на ролик очищения Стратхольма с презентации 18 года я наложил звук из ролика WoW с озвучкой даже не В. Вихрова! и это была бомба.

    В сухом остатке я не понимаю, зачем эта игра нужна?! Для сетевой игры она нестабильна, лишина рейтинга. Для кампании лишина души благодаря озвучке, в остальном абсолютно та же, без особых изменений. Даже кастомки и те ограничиваются. Но теперь есть новые модельки, преимущественно красивые. Но я не разглядываю их все время, а старая графика меня не раздражала.

    В таких условиях у меня складывается впечатление, что отняли гораздо больше, чем дали. Это неравноценный обмен. Это не попытка уважить олдов, а желание привлечь новых игроков в старую игру.

    - change cut scenes on the game engine
    - make more changes to the campaign by the type of cards "Purification of Stratholme" or the capture of Sylvanas.
    - to bring stability, which has long become the hallmark of Blizzard
    - leave the old Russian voice acting or call on the actors of the dubbing from WoW
    - leave old classic in its original form with a rating, etc.

    They already partially implemented the first, the second trifling matter, they worked on the third, but without the actors of dubbing from WoW.

    In the bottom line, I do not understand why this game is needed ?! For a network game, it is unstable, lacking a rating. For the campaign, the soul’s loss is due to the voice acting, the rest is absolutely the same, without any changes. Even custom ones are limited. But now there are new models, mostly beautiful. But I do not look at them all the time, and the old graphics did not annoy me.

    In such conditions, I get the impression that they took away much more than they gave. This is an unequal exchange. This is not an attempt to respect the old, but a desire to attract new players to the old game.    … Expand

    I don't care about other games that Blizzard made that, the new Blizzard that we have, they forgot all player they have, if they don't want to do something for this I be really disappointed, because I love Blizzard's games since I played my first game, I hope they back to old Blizzard with best games that they had.

    Они оценили кол-во предварительных заказов, и просто напросто решили не особо то и вкладывать в эту игру, "А че?, у нас еще два новых проекта для всех мил не будешь!1".

    Warcraft III RTS была и остается легендарной игрой, в которой благодаря WorldEdit зарождались много новых игр, это была ключевая особенность, которую нужно было ценить.

    И всё это из-за денег. Всё из-за этих бизнесменов.
    И ничего не надо придумывать или додумывать и верить что мы не знаем всё картины.
    Всё что кажется сложным на самом деле очень простое.

    Funny thing is even when Blizzard massively didn´t deliver on their promises, I mean c´mon it is still polished better looking version with small things added to the mix of the one we all enjoyed and that is something I can be happy with + I might be lucky one, but so far I did not get any crashes or technical issues.     It's obvious that there is some Activision influence in all this show.

    The company we once knew doesn't seem to care about the thoughts of their users anymore but their wallets. I hope that they learn something from all of this, but I'm not sure.

It was touted as an AAA replacement for a 10/10 game, and we were promised both a vast improvement over the classic game AND    Disclaimer: the score I'm giving this game has nothing to do with the bugs it currently has. Buggy launches are expected of Blizzard, they are a small indie studio after all.

    In a vacuum, this game could be a solid 4-5 out of 10. But it does not exist in a vacuum. It was touted as an AAA replacement for a 10/10 game, and we were promised both a vast improvement over the classic game AND a full compatibility with it. Neither of these promises turned out to be true.

    It gets a 0 from me, a long time Blizzard and Warcraft fan who was very excited about Reforged and preordered it for myself and a few close friends the moment it was announced, for the following reasons:

    - Visually, it is a *downgrade* for a nearly 20 year old game. Original WC3 has an incredible quality to it, with a very consistent art style across the game. Reforged does not. It simply does not look like a Blizzard game at all, and it lacks the hallmarks of Blizzard's famous polish -- high detail, smooth animations, consistent art style. Instead, it looks like a generic, forgettable, low-budget project by a no-name studio, released around 2012-2014.
    None of the issues that became apparent in the beta were fixed in the last few months as we had hoped they would.

    - The new online play mode is a massive downgrade over the user experience we had since Reign of Chaos release. LAN functionality is removed (even from the "classic" client).

    - The promise of crossplay between the old and new clients were a lie. You don't get to play real WC3 anymore. Which makes me question what was the point of all the breaking changes to the classic client.

    - A massive number of old custom maps were broken in the name of making the classic client compatible with Reforged. Those maps are never coming back, especially because...

    - The new Custom Maps Terms of Service. I'll quote the full paragraph, so you can appreciate the full extent of neo-Blizzard's greed and audacity:

    Custom Games are and shall remain the sole and exclusive property of Blizzard. Without limiting the foregoing, you hereby assign to Blizzard all of your rights, title, and interest in and to all Custom Games, including but not limited to any copyrights in the content of any Custom Games. If for any reason you are prevented or restricted from assigning any rights in the Custom Games to Blizzard, you grant to Blizzard an exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, unconditional, royalty free, irrevocable license enabling Blizzard to fully exploit the Custom Games (or any component thereof) for any purpose and in any manner whatsoever. You further agree that should Blizzard decide that it is necessary, you will execute any future assignments and/or related documents promptly upon receiving such a request from Blizzard in order to effectuate the intent of this paragraph. To the extent you are prohibited from transferring or assigning your moral rights to Blizzard by applicable laws, to the utmost extent legally permitted, you waive any moral rights or similar rights you may have in all such Custom Games, without any remuneration.     TLDR: Blizzard owns the rights to all your work. Why? Because f*** you, that's why.

    This is a "f*** you" to all the people who have kept Warcraft 3 alive for 15 years with their hard and largely unrewarded work, and it kills any chance of the custom map renaissance that we have all hoped to happen with Reforged.
    No one should be making custom games for Reforged, even if this policy gets reversed. Blizzard must be taught a hard lesson in public relations.

    Final verdict:

    Do not buy this game. If you already did, refund it. Sadly, I can't, and it bothers me deeply that I fell for the empty promises and personally enriched the people behind this product.

    If you want to play Warcraft 3, play the real Warcraft 3 -- the one that was made by real Blizzard. You can still buy Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos + The Frozen Throne CDs, download patch 1.26 and experience the game that made millions of people fall in love with Warcraft.    … Expand

    This game had been falsely advertised for a year only to be eventually released in a half-baked state with core features missing or not working. The year is 2020 and I get to customize hotkeys in Notepad. Not only is it not a "reforged" version, but a strong downgrade compared to the original game. Refunded.

Когда я запустил игру - я почувствовал столько ностальгии и приятных чувств! Я не понимаю почему столько хейта - это не Варкрафт 4. это обновленный Варкрафт 3. и я благодарен разработчикам за обновление. Буду играть сОсновная претензия к игре - графика и баги. у меня лично багов не было за пару часов игры. Графика - привыкаешь через пол часа и как будто ты опять в том Варкрафте.     Never played the original but I knew what it was. I want to start off with that I am disappointed at all the missing promises that they made for this game. I preordered it after i watched the trailer because of all the great things they said they would do for it. I still enjoy the game play though, even if its not as changed as Blizzard had promised for any of the missions. I hear one of the major issues with it is how it also runs but i haven't really encountered that problem yet besides small lag spikes here and there when using the main screen and sometimes during game play. I haven't used any of the internet required functions yet though so I'm not sure how well those are working but from what i heard custom games are basically unplayable which is a shame. Really wish Blizzard stepped it up a bit more for this game because i was excited to receive a masterpiece and only got a spit in the face and major disappointment. Not looking to refund it but I just wish it came out better. After all, my favorite WoW villain Arthas deserves better and i'm sure many agree.… Expand

    All of the above would be palatable if not for the following things :
    1. The menu is extremely choppy, on 60fps. The classic menu was not that smooth in its transitions, but this one is somehow even worse.
    2. The UI is different and I am not sure if it is for the better. Looks a bit disorienting in custom game lobbies. The custom games browser is better visually at least, not sure if it is functionally. It looks more like a funny casual mobile game's UI, rather than a Warcraft UI. Its not horrible, but could be better.
    3. The biggest downside : Unit movement animations are 30fps even when the game runs at 60. It legit looks like lag. Its terrible and its an eyesore. It is virtually unplayable.
    4. Bugs? I started the main campaign to check it out and when i immediately saw the 3. issue, i quit the mission. I tried a custom game - same. Then I tried switching to classic mode and started the campaign again and guess what - the campaign would not even start. It loaded and then it presented me with a Defeat screen.
    5. No LAN and no custom games filters? Come on. I mean. Come on.

    Realistically, i would set this at a score of 3. I am setting it as 0 because i would NOT recommend it to anyone and because i want to lower the average score.    … Expand

Maybe a deceptive teaser of the game with new cutscenes that won't be available was removed from the official site? This did not happen.

    I played it and I can say that the game is not worthy of evaluation on Metacritic. Because of the mass hysteria, the game adds cons, which are not present and do not notice the pros.     This game was a huge part of my childhood. They removed ladder, profiles, tournaments.. custom map makers have no incentive anymore, they killed the creativity. They lied about what the game would be.

    To do this to a game that was so crucial to their success.. it os sad to see.. hoe can you fivk this up?

    Absolutely ridiculous, disappointing fans once again, Blizzard. A game that had great modes to play online and engaged community, they should've at least gave us a choice of retaining and playing in the 'old' classic way, vs the new 'crap' way.

    A 30 balles, ce W3R propose simplement... De nouveaux modèles... Voilà... C'est tout.

    Pas de changement de GamePlay (toujours limité à 12 unités sélectionnées).

    Bref, pour 30 ou 40 balles, vous avez fait quoi les mecs ? Il est où le travail là ? C'est pu de la feignantise là ! C'est le niveau supérieur. Ils auraient pu tout aussi bien changer le numéro de version et ne rien faire d'autre que ça aurait été pareil >< ...

    La compatibilité avec les écrans récent avait déjà été patché ou était bidouillable par le passé, donc ça ils l'ont pas fait pour Reforged.
    Allez, on va dire qu'ils ont rendu le jeu compatible avec Battle.NET 2.0... Wuhu... Génial... 40 Balles les mecs... 40 Balles...

    Just a scam. Can't believe blizzard actually launched this game with following conditions:
    - No UI enhancement
    - Tons of graphical problems
    - No new cut-scenes (Except the fancy new trailer to scam people who would but it)
    - Worst optimization, (probably due to the old game engine?)

    I would say to people who wants to buy it: Please don't

    I like that Warcraft 3 Reforged brings attention to my favorite game, thank you very much for it and I like many of new ideas involved like skins for heroes, etc...

Именно лагает. Мое ФПС местами падает до 5. Это ладно! Частый вылет с ошибкой, ни один перезапуск не помогает. Поиграл после в FHD без лагов, но постоянные вылеты, краши игры, тупая анимация и вот я дохожу до ролика, который показывали на близкконе и говорили, что ролики будут новые -) И что думаете?     Viel versprochen, aber nichts eingehalten. Sogar der Grafik overhaul wirkt altbacken.
    UI ist noch die alte und die tollen neuen Cutscenes gibt es auch nicht.
    Dazu immer wieder unerklärliche Ruckler bzw. Frame Drops. Teils

    The Game does not even run stabil, the launcher is a bad joke and essential features that were promised are not in the game at all. Also the german synchro is a shame with no emotions in it. I simply can not understand how they could do that to this wonderful game and Blizzard transformed from the gold benchmark of good games in just an other greedy mass garbage produktion.     Great patch, despite its payd. It makes ladder and multiplayer games smoother and well feelings that was unable to rich on an older bnet wersion! Im not even turns on new graphics, cuz it not important for me, i just love this game. It so pity that Blizz ruined publicity compaign, inspite this, game is great!

    First post on Metacritic just for this game. I've been playing WC3 since my middle school and loving this series. I pre-ordered Reforged and hope to find some good memories of my childhood. However, the low performance, bugs, poor UI, ect. indeed ruined the name of "Warcraft" and destroyed the only remaining good memories.

    holy crab I can't even get my old WARCRAFT III back since they force update it.
    and I guess i will never see a new version of my favorite TD custom map any more. does any one know where to find a crack old version of war3 frozen throne so i can play some old custom map? OH never mind i could probably able to fine those map in dota2.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.
