    I played this game for hundreds of hours and dove into custom games as a kid. This experience holds a very special place in my heart. The bugs, custom game copyright limitations, and many other issues have damaged the core of what I hold dear about this game. All we can do now is stare in disappointment at the new models we were given for a premium cost.     Really disappointed in Blizzard on this one. They promised a lot of stuff and delivered basically none of it. What is worse is that there was no news around the missing features. Not acceptable behavior, they should not be allowed to get away with stuff like this.

    While many people have found warcraft 3 re-forged to be a bug-riddled experience I personally found zero bugs during my playthrough of the game, this does not mean that I believe the game is perfect many things that were promised before I pre-purchased this product did not exist in the final product.

    The artists who worked on the making of this game deserve credit the art style remains true enough the original while bringing it up to modern standards visually (the user interface needs work) it is disappointing to see so much cut from a game that could have been great but that does not mean that this game is terrible after a few weeks (or patches) when the bugs have been ironed out for everybody I suggest you give this game a fair go.    … Expand

    One big disappointment. Not only does it fail in many aspects, but is a huge mess especially during launch. A lot of whats promised is missing and/or riddled with bugs. The game has many backwards decisions.

    Skip this game for sure or refund it if you can. Its sad to see games like this exist and they expect us to pay full price. Shame on you Blizzard.

I could be really harsh on this game and give it what I want to give it (a 1 out of 10) but I'll be kind because I know they underpaid some outsourced workers to develop this and they did an okay job given what resources I'm sure Blizzard alotted. Don't buy this game unless you have so much money that you can throw money onto the street to observe who's first to pick it up.     I see a lot of people complaining about bugs but I'm like 40 hours in and haven't had any yet. New models are gorgeous, Campaign is pretty much just like I remember it being, which is good. I was worried they'd change too much, but of the like 20 missions I've played, only 3 were different. Those 3 were Stratholme, Silvermoon, and Dalaran.     Ужасно сырая игра, вместо приятной настольгии получил только разочарование, модельки юнитов совсем не спасают ситуацию, синематики вовсе не переделывали, юниты в бою двигаются как попало, лучше б эту игру и вовсе не выпускали .     Warcraft 3 is the one game I came back to, time and time again. Whether it was to just play for 30 minutes, or several hours. All the custom games made, it was an interesting community. Now with the release of reforged they have forcibly destroyed the old game, when they did not have to.     I made an account just to review this game. I feel robbed and i am sick of companies like these big dogs getting away with this. Luckily i am in Australia and ACCC is on the consumer side and i got my money back. i am warning you, DO NOT BUY THIS TRASH.

    This is the first and last time I will leave a review on Metacritic. I grew up with this game and even though it holds immense nostalgia with the custom games. Reforged somehow manages to have LESS features than the original. Speaking of the original, it no longer exists, the old player base has been forced to play this mangled piece of garbage and classic WC3 is no longer supported.This is the first and last time I will leave a review on Metacritic. Кстати если вы сравните 6-ю миссию за альянс сейчас и на близконе то заметите что даже тут нас наебали.     Loving the nostalgia, and having a blast. Runs great on a new computer, whereas trying to run classic was problematic at times, and hard on the eyes. Can't wait to see some of the other features implemented, and gonna lose a lot of sleep while blitzing through the campaign before knocking out countless hours of Wintermaul!

    Custom maps, the user-generated content that in the past from WarCraft III spawned not just new games, but genres, has been "reforged" by Blizzard as well. You no longer own your work, Blizzard owns it (that LoL/Dota thing still stings, eh Blizz?). Add to that a massive amount of removed features and restrictions put onto the custom maps creators and there's no point in even trying. But even that isn't as big of an issue as the... Oh, just read the next part.

    WarCraft III and WarCraft III: Reforged have been merged into one. Attempting to ignore the new and busted game and going back to what you know and love is as difficult and annoying as possible. There's some obscure link to where owners can download the game from Blizzard, there's the installing from an original CD or piracy... I don't know if you can even play the old WarCraft III online anymore due to all this mess.

    But for me as a returning player, my disappointment are in a never ending phase at the moment and this review is to reflect on their low baiting business model right now.

    And now it's even worse, they are denying refund as they said our purchases is final, no matter what the rules applied in your specific country or region for customer's protection. They think they are above the law now. 10/10 scam, 0/10 game.    … Expand

    Que conste que las nuevas texturas y el rendimiento es genial, rejugar la campaña es una gran experiencia, pero frustra ver lo fácil que hubiese sido copiar el sistema de ladder del original y que el multiplayer fuese una gran experiencia también, espero que no tarden en ponerlo.

You can no longer play it outside of downloading 30GB of this dumpster fire, forced into new client that takes away features. 17 years old classic, one of the best RTSs ever made with the best modding scene is dead.     More than 10 years ago, I spent hundreds of hours making a DBZ RPG map with a small team of people I met online.

    I buy this game with high hopes and I can’t even play the goddamn map with other people because it contains 3rd party IP. Blizzard is scared of their own fan creativity now. I requested a refund.

    From someone who played Warcraft 3 for more than 10 years, this "remaster" is a complete atrocity, as it not only fails to poison the well of what made Warcraft 3 great, it has ruined the original game for everyone who still played it. This is actually worse than patch 1.7, and I never thought I'd say that.

    i am sad that blizzard put so little effort and resources into a game that made the prestige of their company. warcraft deserved a lot more than this. the game has many bugs and problems still. the quality of the terrain does not match the quality of the models and buildings, so it still looks old in some cases.

Terms like "Bait and switch", "mvp (minimally viable product)", "false advertising", and "embarrassing cash grab" would all be appropriate when it comes to describing WC3:R.     This is a shadow of the original's greatness. Almost nothing promises about this game is true. Bought it to relive the glory days of custom games and an amazing campaign, and I feel like the whole experience is neutered. The technical state of the game is just as bad. Framerates are questionable at best.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Another insult from Blizzard (after Diablo:Immortal) to a century-old fan-base of a franchise that used to set standards in a genre.

    The only new thing the Reforged version offers is as single cutscene for the fight between Arthas and Illidan, which features two whole voice-lines of "hmmm" and cheesy blade clashing.
    The "new" (if any) voice-acting is awful and emotionless.
    The rest of the game is basically a few new HD assets, upscaled cutscenes and textures.

    To make things worse, they decided to restrict Custom Maps that may contain copyrighted character models. Custom Maps are the only thing that kept the game alive in the long run.

    All in all, this game is a major rip-off and doesn't deserve any praise, let alone money.    … Expand

    Since Blzizard is deleting unfavorable comments and dislieks on its youtube channel I felt compelled to create and account on metacritic to properly review this game. After all the hype lasting for soem 2 years we are served unfinished product with merely replaced textures for 30 USD, that's a joke. It deserves -10 not even a 0. Shame on you activision.

    Even worse, the lack of features. It's basically just a reskin. It really seems blizzard has lost their touch with actual gamers, and the bean counters have truly taken over. I've asked for my money back. RIP to the #1 game I played through my childhood.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.
