    Not happy that all the features that came from Warcraft III:The Frozen Throne made it to Reforged.
    But overall the campaign is a lot of fun as it always has been. Very happy they added additional hotkey features. The graphics are definitely better, but not hugely, maybe on pare with 2010's Starcraft II, but still an improvement.
    Versus is still fun, but lacks needed information that    Not happy that all the features that came from Warcraft III:The Frozen Throne made it to Reforged.

    Versus is still fun, but lacks needed information that was available in 2002's version. If that bothers you then custom maps are still amazing as always. If you weren't crazy for WC3 to begin with, then don't bother buying, but if there is a nice place for Warcraft in your heart I would still recommend.    … Expand

    I fully regret preordering the Spoils of War edition immediately after the announcement.     What they showed at blizzcon made me purshase the game. It turned out even worse than the original game.

    Don't get me wrong, there are changes in the game but it's such a halfway between "staying true" and "improving" that you can't like it either way you stand on it. It fails to deliver a sleek retexture as Starcraft Remastered and it fails to make new stuff by having them look clanky, outdated or downright missing. New players who did not experience WC3 will have a dated-feeling RTS, people who played WC3 back in the day and returned will be offered nothing beyond "new models" that look good but by no means feel like a 2020 remake, and players who kept playing after all this time will be stripped of stuff they already had for granted and even have custom games threatened by new policies. Heck, even players who wanted nothing to do with WC3R are feeling the repercusions of this game.
    TLDR: this game offers nothing truly new, it satisfies none of it's audiences, it hyped people to preorder with stuff that do not exist ingame or are completely different from what was advertised.
    This is not an acceptable RTS game for 2020 and especially not from the same creators who developed one of the cornerstones of this genre.    … Expand

    Not only is reforged a broken dumpster fire, but they destroyed the original version of Warcraft 3 with the REQUIRED download that installs new Reforged assets. To top all this Blizzard is refusing ALL REFUND REQUESTS. There needs to be a class action lawsuit made against Activision-Blizzard to refund everyone who bought this POS of a game!

    This is a forced change from a beloved game from the early 2000's, one of the first games I've ever played and yet still continue to play. A quality RTS game. And the ability to play so many variations of custom games truly made the game. Want a life-simulator? Great. Battle arena? Yup. LotR battle reenactments? Uh huh.

    But because of this game, those are all out. If the map doesn't qualify for their new restrictions on created content (all because Activision is salty that they couldn't cash in on DotA), then chances are it doesn't work. I've uninstalled the game and reinstalled Warcraft 3 off of a disk. And I guess I'll never connect online through Battle.Net ever again.

    I've been playing Warcraft 3 since it came out. I've been there for it all, the ladder pros, the clans, the custom games, everything. I made custom maps, I learned JASS, I climbed the ladder, I made clans, I left clans, I loved this game.

    I would go so far as to say that the company that made reforged can no longer be called Blizzard.

    This is a bug ridden release that is well documented, so I won't go into that. Instead I'll talk about the artwork. This release brings the Warcraft 3 universe under the WoW fold in terms of art. If you were around back in the day, you would know that the art styles for the two games were different in some departments. That unique vibe that warcraft 3 had was perfect for the genre and led to the sprawling custom game scene that would eventually create entire new projects outside of WC3.

    Now, art is subjective, sure, but even looking at the tauren chieftain, you can tell they went wrong. The tauren chieftain has been transformed from a brutish warrior with glowing eyes to an incel cow with a bowl cut. Why am I referring to this specific example? Because when I picked up this game all those years ago, the first enemy hero that I saw was the tauren chieftain. I got just a glimpse of it in the fog of war as it was going around creeping and I was staying in my base because I didn't know creeping was something you should do. I was terrified to leave my base.     Disaster. The game looks like the classic one but it's completely broken. Only US and EU servers, rest of the world 200+ ping, impossible to play online. Old cinematics, reforged cinematics were cancelled and you know about it when you play the game. Absolutely horrible. Worst launch ever.

    Crappy, laggy performance on a pc that will run modern AAA titles on ultra settings and cannot tell the difference between the new and "remastered" graphics. Plus missing features promised at launch. Do not buy.

    This is insult is a complete robbery of the Warcraft experience. It lacks much of the single-player content, the competitive components, and has scared away creative modders who added to the game's variety. On top of all of that, this mockery of Warcraft III destroyed its origin.

    When I was a teen, Blizzard was releasing the best new innovative games in gaming history. I thought they could never go wrong. On top of that, my dad and I used to deliver to the Blizzard branch in Sydney on a regular basis. Then came along the merge with Activision, and I watched the building complex decay from creative to generic... Please don't ruin Diablo 4 next.

    this game came with none of the promised improvements and didn't even fix the old bugs. they even ruined the UI and wont let you go back to the old one. blizzard really slapped us in the face with this one

    I really like the new graphics and having the option to switch back to the classic graphics. I jumped into a 1v1 game vs A.I. and it felt as good as all the matches I've played of Warcraft III over the years. So far so good, can't wait to finish the story campaign! Thanks for this game and all you do, Blizzard!

    Activision have completed the destruction of blizzard they started; this game is utter trash. Not only is it an alpha test (a beta wouldn't be so buggy) , but forcing all users to `upgrade` to the new battlenet - removed the ability to play my purchased WC3 from CD! Pretty sure there are laws against that in the EU.....

    Но когда они сделали так что АРХИМОНДА можно просто заковырять медведями с дриадами тут я уже не могу молчать. Кака можно перерисовывая игру сделать хуже? Им просто надо было ничего делать а просто рисовать но нет ( хотя может при переносе пришлось реально переписывать всю физику итд но блин хотя бы могли АB тестирование провести с оригиналом)

    In my opinion people expected way too much from this remaster, I think it's great for what it is and it runs well on my computer. Another thing people have been hysterical about is the ToS changes, but those changes were necessary and shouldn't come as any surprise.

    Was waiting for so long for this game to come out. UI is a huge downgrade. I could personally do a better job reforging wc3 within a 1.5 year timeline, and I don’t have any programming or design experience.

    Waiting for the next game with title like: WarCraft 3: Reforged: Reforged, and next presentation with words, how they spend they half life for upgrading cutscenses, new textires packs, and adding a new ability to change a hot keys in a xml, json or yaml format on the fly, and no need to restart the game...

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
