    I am not sure about all the hate and issues here. I started playing right at launch, and did not experience 1 10th of the issues alot of people here claimed to have. Sure the classic launcher is no more, but how that impacts the play-ability and quality of this game is not relevant whatsoever. I have played both now, and enjoyed the experience each time, some graphics upgrades and evenI am not sure about all the hate and issues here. The game was very playable, the story remained in tact, and the graphics improved. I ran into a couple of minor glitches that were easily solved with a restart, but it was clearly optimized enough for modern PCs.

    Overall it was a remaster of the original and done right, compared to any other highly rated remasters, these one runs on par if not exceeds some of those others.

    If people expected a whole new game or expected no issues with online play as people wait every release to DDOS or interfere with Blizzard launches, then they are naive.

    I lost alot of faith in Blizzard over the years and don't agree with many things they have done, but this wasn't as bad a game as people claim (in before claims that I am a blizz fanboy).    … Expand

    Upon starting the game a few minutes after release, the lack of player profiles, ladder/ranking system, the "new" user interface and menu design that is somehow worse than it was in the classic Warcraft 3 game just made me really confused. Once I started the campaign I was amazed to see that somehow, even on the    I'm utterly disappointed. What they've done to this game is a disgrace.

    Once I started the campaign I was amazed to see that somehow, even on the lowest settings I have huge fps problems.

    The versus (competitive) part of the game wasn't implemented at release. Linking your classic account does literally nothing. Most of the custom games don't even work. The chat window in the main menu is very laggy and unresponsive. You can't ignore or report people anywhere. Switching graphics to "classic mode" is not the same as graphics on the old client and the best thing is: the old client is just not available anymore, and there are many, many more bugs that I didn't include here...

    I literally can't find a reason why I would suggest anyone to buy this game. Especially after they started banning people on their own forums where people helped others on how to refund the game.

    So many things promised, nothing delivered.....
    If you owned the classic version, and bought this, you will lose it, so now you can't even play the original. They won't refund people and are out right banning people on the forums trying to help others refunding. The game is a total dumpster fire compared to the original.

    Shaders, shadows and lights are unfinished, making the amazing new models look like weird plastic. This is just NOT okay for a 30-40 bucks reforged edition, promised to be much more than a remaster.
    Really, Warcraft 3 Reforged is a disaster and should not have come out in this state.    … Expand

    The game is a cash grab at a legendary series. The graphics look "better" but besides that, it's in every way worse than the original. Which btw received all of the technical issues that the reforged version has. Avoid this game. Avoid Blizzard.

Disables old client which actually worked, un-dos all of the honestly pretty awesome work they did to stabilize pings for custom lobbies roughly six months ago (which was supposed to be in preparation for this?     One thing I will say is that despite all the negative reviews I actually do like the new models even if they could be better they're pretty nice, but if we've been playing this game for 17 years with AAA games coming out in that time obviously none of us were playing for the graphics. I'd love to see a revert of the menu and UI for battle.net custom lobbies, whilst keeping the little reforged slider in the options. If all this rework did was add that slider to the game it would have been better than this dumpster fire and satisfied me I was willing to pay 30$ just for the new models to get a fresh 50th replay on the campaign :/    … Expand

    Too much hope for this game. Turn out to be one of the worst games ive ever played. Everything is basically the same as the old warcraft except updated graphic. They should’ve named it Warcraft: just reskin.

    An absolute disaster, to resonate on a lot of the comments previously mentioned it feels like the old blizzard we knew is long gone. This is a broken product simply put. What's worst is that it breaks the original amazing game by migrating it over to the new battle.net system.

    Just bring back the original pls and I will install my Battle.net again, SC2 is dead, War3 is dead, Diablo is well dead, WoW is not my thing so...
    I do have phone Blizzard but I am a PC gamer, always has been until you go back to the OG Blizzard you have lost me as a customer.
    Until then I will play my pirated versions of Diablo2, SC, and War3 (FT) cheers ^^

    Blizzard successfully released a remaster that not only fails to deliver a positive experience, but destroys the original game! Well done.

    No new UI, poor animation/cutscenes and stealing people's creations. Awful.

    i just think it's just a sad situation, a lot of us grew up with this beautiful master piece and the after experience with the custom maps where just so fun, to think that everything is getting erased just because blizzard is scared of lossing prestige, just because they weren't able to make a fun gamemode by they own.

    - The Horce Orc Prologue was new, decent enough to play through. But then there is ONLY the human campaign out for now, considering having a TEAM at one of the most profound companys.     - "there will be hotkey configuration in game" -> No hotkey configuration in game lol. You got standard (yeah.. i'm not swinging all the way to "P" to create a peasant...). You got Grid , you can't custom ANY key though, i might of got used to but no i'm not using R, For attack move. So here we are.. back to the old days of "custom" needing to RELY on THE COMMUNITY.. FOR A PRESET so i can play the game to my liking.. well.. to as best it can be. I'm NOT going through ALL the keys. So i suffice with what QWER is, learn it and use for the short duration i'll play this game... I mean it's only 2020.. no hotkey settings in options is, very weak sauce.

    - I liked seeing how the orc peons still use an "AXE" to repair or build . It's like they had given up on developments months ago. Weak sauce.

    - I've noticed the pathing to be a bit odd at times, There was a clear gap between building and forest tress, but for some reason riflemen went ALL around.. ??... weak sauce.

    The best score is a money value, so overall for such a Reforge', id say it's just worth AUD$20-25 at the most.. (15-20 USD)    … Expand

I grew up on Blizzard with StarCraft: Broodwar and Warcraft III/TFT, these games helped shape my childhood as I strove to become ever better, moved into the iCCup semi-professional league and spent years watching VODs and going to tournaments to try and support these games.

    For me, the introduction of World of Warcraft was the beginning of    Writing this review literally breaks my heart. I grew up on Blizzard with StarCraft: Broodwar and Warcraft III/TFT, these games helped shape my childhood as I strove to become ever better, moved into the iCCup semi-professional league and spent years watching VODs and going to tournaments to try and support these games.

    For me, the introduction of World of Warcraft was the beginning of the end of a dynasty. I knew Warcraft would probably never be an RTS game again so I held out hope for StarCraft 2 which was also a major disappointment. When Warcraft III: Reforged was announced, I dared to hope and I sorely wish I hadn't. Yet, even then, i was willing to hold out hope that Blizzard would refund purchases and strive to make the game great...

    Then I learned about them banning forum accounts for helping people get refunds, refusing refunds for anyone with more than 2 hours of game time in the game and even denying people who hadn't even installed the game!

    The end of the Blizzard dynasty spells a dark chapter in my childhood but hopefully it will serve as a lesson to both Blizzard and other gaming companies that gamers are sick and tired of settling for second-rate crap. You make promises, you deliver. You make a game you want us to purchase, then give us a reason to.    … Expand

    Game wouldn't even boot past the main menu and crashed my whole PC. I would give it a score if there was anything even to score but since I can only rate the main screen, the main screen is very basic and uninteresting like any other main screen. Thanks Blizzard.

    Blizzard has fallen far. So many promises that were never delivered. This is a sad excuse for a "Remaster." Still falsely advertising a cutscene on their website that is vastly different from the one actually in game. Downright criminal. Banning people who help others get refunds. Blizzard, smarten up. You have a lot of people who have lost faith in you as a game company.

    I'm simply amazed at how you could mess up a simple remaster. Just put HD cutscenes, updated models, ui, and worlds and you are done. The fact that they couldnt do that is just sad. Blizzard now on my "no buy list". I refuse to support this company any more.

    I became a gamer from playing the original WC3 with my dad. I have so many fond memories of us playing the game together, so seeing this coming out of the company I once held in high regard is extremely disappointing.
    This will never deserve anything higher than what I'm giving it right now.

I came back to the game in about August of 2019 after seeing the reforged version being advertised and thought it would be fun to play this game again, so I purchased.     Even though the game was very old it was still fun to play on multi player, and the graphics held up very good throughout all these years.
    Now I logged on to play two days ago and couldn't as it seemed to download the new content for a full day. When I got on the whole userface was changed. Then I got into a game and thought, what the hell happened to this game, the graphics are terrible, I could no longer tell what a unit was anymore as the graphics ARE HORRIBLE. I asked in my LOTR game how to revert back to the old Warcraft 3 TFT and they said you cannot.

    This is the worst "Upgrade", its like they tried to make this a cheap rip off of StarCraft 2, which I personally don't like the graphics and camera positioning of that game either. So this will be the last game of Blizzard I ever buy, as the last game I bought from Blizzard was StarCraft 2. So going forward please let users revert back to old Warcraft 3 TFT in every regard, being multiplayer outlay, graphics, special effects, clans, ladderboard, ect ect.

    And just a free business tip, don't reforge or remake any of your game's clearly Blizzard doesn't have the graphics designers or vision to produce AAA games anymore, you took one of the most polished beloved games in gaming history and massacred it. Like I said before, I will never buy a Blizzard product again, nor even consider buying one again.

    Folks, stay far far away from this game that way you'll still have the nice fuzzies thinking about Warcraft 3 TFT, instead of seeing the horror of this reforged version.    … Expand

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.
