    I have not purchased nor played WarCraft III: Reforged.

    HOWEVER. I do not appreciate being FORCED to download ~27GB of data -- which left my hard drive with less than 5GB free space -- that is USELESS to those of us that chose to not purchase WCIII:R. I do not appreciate having my classic version being modified when you, Blizzard, made it a point that those who wanted to stick    I have not purchased nor played WarCraft III: Reforged.

    HOWEVER.

    I do not appreciate having my classic version being modified when you, Blizzard, made it a point that those who wanted to stick with the classic version had nothing to worry about.

    I ended up deleting the entire WarCraft III folder since I didn't have anything I especially felt like saving and I still have the original WCIII and its expansion stored elsewhere.

    If this is your idea of trying to convince more people to purchase the "reforged" version (more like "deformed"), you're doing a bang-up job of it.

Warcraft III: Reforged retains the gameplay of the original, but its development has spurred on balance changes to the game's multiplayer. These changes are also present in the original version of the game. Players from both versions are able to play with each other. Similarly to Starcraft: Remastered, both versions of the game will be under one client. Matchmaking is updated to have per-race ratings, similar to other Blizzard titles. The campaign's missions are altered to reflect World of Warcraft's designs of present locations. Other changes to gameplay are present in the campaign.[3]

    Having played the classic WC3, I can say with absolute certainty that this game is not worth your money. All you're paying for are new models and textures, so if you have your old CD keys, stay away and download the Public Test or older versions.

    Somehow worse than doing nothing for an 18 year old game. This "reforge" is an objectively worse game in most regards when compared to the original version. I miss when Blizzard actually had standards.

    I've been doing my best to give blizzard the benefit of the doubt the past two years, but this release was a complete tipping point. Blizzard to save itself needs to find someway to buy out of Activision and remember who it is.

I'm sure anybody reading this has a good idea of the things that Blizzard removed, one I don't see mentioned a lot that is pertinent to the way I play is the late removal of 3440x1400 support. Blizzard could have tackled this is so many different ways. Most modern companiesHuge bummer. I pre-ordered Reforged when the beta was early and things were really looking up for the end product. I'm sure anybody reading this has a good idea of the things that Blizzard removed, one I don't see mentioned a lot that is pertinent to the way I play is the late removal of 3440x1400 support. Blizzard could have tackled this is so many different ways. Most modern companies just letterbox with art flanking the play area. This alone did not completely tinge the way I perceived this purchase though.

    The last minute stranglehold on ridiculous custom games is particularly egregious, as this was the most nostalgic part of multiplayer for me. It's a really sad state of affairs.

    The campaign is really underwhelming. I am really sad blizzard missed an opportunity to craft such a cool new-ish experience. I was really excited they'd use the opportunity maybe to tell new, smaller stories that don't quite fit within the game play scope of WoW. Maybe micro campaigns for sale for $5 or something. Anyways, I'm sure Blizzard is going to abandon reforged. It doesn't seem like they're commuted by any metric to deliver something special here.

    It's really disappointing to me that they're being so stingy about refunds. The way they've reacted to community outcry is flat out awful. I regret buying reforged -- I wouldn't have come here and review it if I wasn't outright denied a refund. I really hope Blizzard understands this outcry comes from a place of love for this universe. I'm sure people wouldn't have really minded a couple of different directions this whole thing could have taken, but somehow they rolled the dice on what seems to be the worst option. Release an unpolished game, break a classic one, bark at the community, and disrespect their customers.

    Sorry Blizzard. It's been a rough year. Here's to hoping this next decade is one of great product and prosper. Nobody reasonable wants to see Blizzard decay but nobody reasonable would deny that it is.    … Expand

    Why would you do this destroy such a fan favorite game. Activision and Blizzard never should have merged. I was so excited for this game to come out only to be met with a lazy re-skin and texture update. Blizzard deserves this score and no one will give a **** about Overwatch 2 or Diablo 4 if this is the type of quality content blizzard comes up with.

    Blizzard forced people who didnt buy Reforged to update TFT into Reforged. And Reforged is broken: lots of people can enter the Game, the games are unstable, has a lot of lag, sudden fps drops, low mean of fps, people is randomly kicked from the Game, you can get desyncronized and be sent to score screen... They have sold an Alpha!!

    And if we talk about what the Game beings: ugly new    Blizzard forced people who didnt buy Reforged to update TFT into Reforged.     And if we talk about what the Game beings: ugly new models that look asian, like anime, which were maid by a malasyan company instead of by Blizzard and have 0 "warcraftish" style, most people prefer the units from TFT than Reforged even if they are 120 years older! Also the new voices are horrible. They have deleted options that we had in classic Warcraft. Not only in graphics, but now you cant play custom campaings. And Blizzard changed the EULA saying that all the custom maps are theirs. What is this Blizzard? You used to be a great company and now you have released a broken unfinished Game, just a change of models which were made by an asian company and have nothing to do with Warcraft. And a Game completly uplayable that is making people look how to play the old TFT because Reforged is ruined.

    Fix your Game in few days or at least restore the TFT to 1.29 before you started to release weird Broken parches to ruin It. Every patch was a wooden plank and Reforged finished the coffin.    … Expand

    Compré el Warcraft 3 original cuando salió en 2002 y luego compré el trono congelado cuando salió en 2003, así que cuando oí que iba a salir un remake, me emocioné por un juego que jugué desde su lanzamiento hasta su declive en la base de jugadores, y que tendría un gran éxito con nuevos jugadores y una actualización de gráficos, pero desde el momento en que vi las imágenes del juego, todoCompré el Warcraft 3 original cuando salió en 2002 y luego compré el trono congelado cuando salió en 2003, así que cuando oí que iba a salir un remake, me emocioné por un juego que jugué desde su lanzamiento hasta su declive en la base de jugadores, y que tendría un gran éxito con nuevos jugadores y una actualización de gráficos, pero desde el momento en que vi las imágenes del juego, todo lo que pude ver fue lo terrible que eran las texturas y los modelos, todo se veía deslucido como si fuera a ser llamado por el público de turno y... reemplazaron los modelos bien definidos con basura ultra detallada que hace que multitudes de unidades se mezclen entre sí haciendo que cualquier tipo de pelea parezca un mosh pit, lo que para un rts es algo terrible, entonces a lo largo de la beta abordaron algunos de estos temas y lo hicieron más colorido, pero no es que tuvieran el tiempo o el dinero para rehacer los modelos en algo que realmente se sintiera como un modelo de Warcraft 3, pero con mejores gráficos la interfaz de usuario también se ve terrible, así que pasé de estar emocionado a estar mucho menos emocionado, pero estaba Todavía estoy esperando a toda la gente que jugaría a las costumbres y ahora en el lanzamiento veo que no sólo han eliminado completamente la capacidad de jugar a Warcraft 3 en el lanzador clásico (si lanzas el trono congelado original te dicen que hay una actualización disponible y te obligan a descargar un parche de 25 GB que elimina completamente el viejo menú principal y lo reemplaza con el nuevo y mejorado menú principal de Blizzard que te obliga a iniciar sesión con la información de tu red de batalla en lugar de tu cuenta que has usado durante más de 15 años ya que junto con todas tus estadísticas y tu vieja lista de amigos han desaparecido) y todo esto estás obligado a hacerlo a menos que juegues a una versión pirata del juego y para añadir la guinda a este horrible pastel te quitaron la posibilidad de jugar a campañas personalizadas así que todavía puedes hacerlas es el worldeditor pero no hay forma de jugarlas en el juego consigues todo esto incluso si no compraste reforged así que encontraron una forma de también joder a los veteranos y joder el legado de warcraft 3… Expand

    I dont understand, how worse it could be. Its not just about too high expectations that most people have about this game (includes me). They didnt add in this "reforge" nothing new, they just swap the textures, and thats it. Even more, they cun most of the original game features, like clans, ladder etc. Blizzard wont make anything good, like in good old days, so stop buying they gamesstuffetc.

    Truly disappointed with this game. The game isn't delivering half of what was shown on the trailers, and it feels incomplete and buggy. The worse part is that it broke Classic by removing a lot of neat stuff. I don't know if the execs dropped the ball, but whomever designed this game is not a REAL Warcraft fan.

This is typical steam early access strategy game for 3$ with typical problems. But Blizzard had promised so much more for us. That i just can't take it. This is 0.     What hasnt been said about this game thats left to say? A well known game was remade, remarketed, and eventually released in a ruined state. Lets hope that Blizzard does a better job with Diablo 4 and doesnt bow down to its Activision overlords when that title ships like they did with this one.

Except it was made by the original devs. The animations feel janky, the models were the only thing that received some update...and Blizzard.     In beta, we told the devs that the game was not ready. Connection issues, FPS issues, less features than the original, and no way for us to test the campaign (so we didn't know about the cinematic fiasco). Instead, they released it. It'll probably get patched to be a decent game in a few years, but at launch? Avoid it, you're paying to beta test this.

Took a game i had an intense passion for and promised to improve it......i waited eagerly to unveil the awesome gift blizzard had decided to bestow upon me even (considering how great the original wc3 was) BUT THEN i unwrapped my gift to find not a lump of coal but a steaming pile of excrement with some pretty decent visuals to distract me from how bad they had botched reforged so i thought hey its OK ill just play classic like before right? WRONG THEY RUINED CLASSIC TOO!!!!! all i can say is that if you have WC3 classic say goodbye to it OH and do do not buy reforged under any circumstance.… Expand

    The game is ridden with seemingly downgraded graphics, missing assets, shoddy animations, countless bugs, facets of multiplayer not working correctly, recycled cinematics, sketchy performance, and the absence of a UI refresh among other promised features.

    A huge letdown. I heard of the stories and decided to try it. Tried the campaign first. Got kicked to a defeat screen. Then tried to do a custom game vs AI. UI was awful and when I finally figured out how to face the UI I got into the game and realized that I could not customize my keys. Even worse is that the frame rate dipped anytime I made a unit.     As a refuge from Bethesda and all the **** they've tried to pull on me over the past 2+ years, I can honestly say the now even tod the god would have thought of running a game that was released in 2002. (but believe me, he's taking notes)

    Worst experience i've had with blizzard so far. I tried to appeal for a refund and got banned from the forums after asking for it. I wanted to give them the opportunity of the doubt with all the drama km the company but its truly sad they just care for the money. Not buying again.

    No ranked at all anymore! Glitchy, unmitigated disaster that ruined even the original game.

    Pretty all around dissapointing. The whole sign away the rights to anything you make in the map editor is pretty messed up. Most of my favorite memories of the original game were focused on all those crazy custom maps.

    And so they have. Forced updates from classic warcraft 3? Check. Now there will be no battle.net for classic warcraft 3. They have to suffer the NEGATIVE game that is reforged. All their features have been taken AWAY. And replaced by nothing but a graphics mod? Those mods existed in classic, by the way.

    They've done it. They've finally punished us for their distaste of Dota / Icefrog. They've finally killed Warcraft, just like they did to Diablo (Starcraft II barely survived).    … Expand

    I didn't care at all about Reforged, I didn't lke the new voiceover in my region, I totally didn't like cheap mobile photoshop campaign menus instead of gorgeous old 3d screenjs. I remeber palying Warcraft III in 2002 andd saying to my frineds: "Look at this! Imagine what they will do in 15-20 years&!" If only I knew they will do that cheap lazy disgusting crap lol.     1). Now I cant even paly my favorite custom maps. World Editor and Custom games have been totally gimped. No copyright material, custom models are allowed my favorite (anime games,and other games as well as maps deemed inappropriate by Blizzard.
    2). No Cross-region play (I am from Russia and there are not so many players here as in US)
    3). No Custom campaigns
    4). No clans
    5), No Player profiles
    6). No Ladder I have been playin all these years
    As other players have said:
    Arranged teams
    Reconnection via GProxy
    Overall game stability (desyncs or crashes would almost never happen, now custom games are plagued with both)
    Bot features (only going to list some of them):
    Online lobby list and in-game chat, available from a browser (what games are hosted right now, how many players are in a lobby, etc.)
    Competitive custom games (auto-balance and matchmaking based on ELO or empirical algorithms specialized for each custom map)
    Ability to kick/ban trolls (after the removal of bots they added the ban functionality, but you would have to re-ban the person every session)
    Better ping/latency
    Protection against hacks and maphacks
    Anti-spam protection
    Automatic replay saving and archiving with easy search from a website
    Game/replay archive. And now this piece of crap making me to download that 28GB Reforged client that looks worse that my 18-years old game and runs way slower, dont have even 50% samer content, Why???

    Blizzard! Why are you taking away from me my favorite RTS game of all time I bought with my hard earned money and have been playing and supporting all these years? I just hate this game. this game not only is the worst remaster I have ever seen but it killed and destroyed my favorite game.

    Blizzard i used to love you. Now i hate you. I hate you the most. I thought I hate EA< i thought I hate Konami. Now I undertand at last that they are not so bad - because there is now Blizzard...    … Expand

    Después de la vergonzosa situación a la que blizzard esta llevando a sus usuarios baneado a gente por tratar de devolver el título. Y del Downgrade agresivo de warcraft 3 reforged. Sumado a su privatización y cambios de interfaz. Solamente puedo decir... Fue un placer Blizzard.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
