    After hearing the news about how bad this game was I was trying to refund my purchase. I installed it but never ran it even once. I looked up how to refund the game and Blizzard is denying my refund. I am a long time Blizzard fan from the first Warcraft game. This is the final straw for me. Blizzard has tarnished its once great name.

    Warcraft 3 is amazing. Reforged doesn't improve on anything, adds lots of bugs and crashes, and removes features from the original game.

This lazy, half-baked, broken, outsourced, passionless remake of one of the greatest games of all time brings me nothing but immeasurable disappointment.     I didn't even buy this game but its broken connectivity with my classic warcraft account. Blizzard, you were my favorite childhood developer...what happened to you to stray so far from your roots? With mess up after mess up after mess up...you've turned into my ex I hoped I'd never talk about.

    This was my first game ever as a 3-year old kid, and it was the game that got me interested in Warcraft and it’s lore for 14 years, and now seeing the game ruined and butchered in every single way, even deleting the old game that I grew up playing hurts my feeling a lot.

    Just a terrible remake of a game, there was some small updates to graphics and detail but overall removed the joy and customizing of what the original Warcraft 3 had.

I honestly shouldn’t be surprised though, even when it was announced through all my excitement I had a twinge of hesitation knowing how Blizz is not long a company that cares and puts effort in their game and has progressively gotten worse. WoW BFA is better and I absolutely hate what they did to the lore in that, but at least there was the idea they’re making new stuff up from scratch so something are gong to get messed up.

    They had the freaking game already completely made some 17 years ago, with a great story feeling feature complete. All anyone wanted was the game to be that but look a lot better with the cut scenes as showed off.

    What we got is a game from 17 some years ago with slightly upgraded graphics so it looks better but not in the ways that are important. You can zoom in and it’ll look great however you don’t play this game that way so it’s pointless.

    The cut scenes aren’t even close to what they showed off.

    And how do they cut out features from the original game and make it so you can only get them in the remaster?! And how are you missing features And animations in a the remaster that the original has?!

    This game is sadly one of laziness and should be passed on, and in the future all Blizz games should not be bought or preordered until it is proven to be worth the money. They have gotten to used to loyal fans just buying their stuff and need to remember that they have to actually put in the effort    … Expand

    I didn't even buy Warcraft III: Reforged, but it's release still crippling my original Warcraft III. I want my Warcraft III rolled back to a patch that did NOT use the Reforged client. I don't care if that means dividing the online community.

    There are many issues with Reforged and by that I don't mean just the mountain of individual ones, such as bare bone features that were there in the original game or    I don't actually think the game is a 0 game, but in order to emphasize the sheer magnitude and, frankly, strangeness of its faults, I'll give it that score. In fact, as a pure statement, the score should be in negatives.

    There are many issues with Reforged and by that I don't mean just the mountain of individual ones, such as bare bone features that were there in the original game or stuttering menus (someone told me they used chromium for menus, let that sink in) or crashes, no ladder at launch, false advertising (a real one, not your standard "E3 presentation being better than the actual game" we all expect by now) and so on and so forth.

    By emphasizing "many", I actually mean many types of issues, some of them mind boggling. Let me elaborate a bit. I worked in the industry. I evacuated it about 10 years ago where all we see now began to happen and I simply didn't want to make games along people who don't like games, for people who don't like games. The "reguiar" players got to feel this on their own skin several years after. Blizzard, of course, was one of the companies that spearheaded the charge of lowering their product quality and overall philosophy, which can be best observed through the development of D3. At this point I would like to emphasize one important point - it IS Blizzard. The scapegoat game doesn't help, guys. It doesn't hurt to hurl rocks at Activision or Activision-Blizzard either, don't get me wrong. But, blame Blizzard for their own games. "Your" Blizzard started and finished the generational shift several years ago. Don't be delusional and imagine some nerdy escapist youngsters "making beloved games" sitting there. Please. Ok, enough with that.

    The above means I was pretty much prepared for "the winter" of AAA games before the majority of players and not much surprised me. FO76, yep, expected, Battlefront, expected, D3 launch, expected, Anthem, expected, surprise mechanics, expected etc.

    So, I expected a bare bones, shoddy, outsourced, not working, badly remastered game out of WC3 Reforged. But, this was actually the first product that managed to amaze me, not due to its lack of quality and abundance of bugs and incompetence, which I expected, but due to variety and, frankly, ingenuity, of all of those.

    Go and watch the demo for the game from 2018. It's not a peppered up video clip, it's an actual demo. Watch it now. Then, watch the released version. Pay attention to the quality of graphics, for example. They had a functional showcase of a good looking game. It wasn't realistic in style, it was just amped up, as it should have been, for a remaster. Nice textures, some volumetric shenanigans, swaying trees and such. None of that survived. Why? Some will tell you that the community wished so. Not true and I don't have enough space here to elaborate, you'd have to explore that for yourselves.

    Pay attention to the gui bar. A slick, small and efficient bar. At release: basically, a smaller version of the classic bar. Again, some will tell you that's because of the compatibility with classic cilent. Wrong. Classic client was updated to Reforged. Meaning, the bar could have been the new one for both versions, end of story.

    Units animate at 30fps. It's quite jarring. Why? No reason. Again, some might tell you how they have to keep animations synced with the classic client. Not true. The game doesn't work like that, there are no clock shenanigans that have to be respected in that way. Even if there were, you could simply update classic to Reforged - which you already did. Don't let parrots convince you how unlocking the unit fps would desync the game or mess with speeds, values etc. So, why isn't it there? Well, that's my point. Do you notice the trend here and why is this the only release that surprised me? The issues are amazing in their mind boggling strangeness.

    The option for customizing hotkeys is literally a string of text that tells you to make what is basically a cfg file outside of the game. Let that sink in. Not even a console manual labor, but straight up go to windows and make files. You would think the remaster would include a script that does that for you in the game's menu, especially in 2020? Well, then it wouldn't be inexplicably strange, wouldn't it?

    In conclusion, I have never EVER seen something so bizarrely botched as this game. Not even FO76. Not even close, in fact. The defining factor being, FO76 is an atrocious, insulting, unfinished game. Reforged is all that, but actually borderline supernatural in the way it does it. It has a certain magic to it that no other botched game can touch. It's amazing.

    Lastly, I'd like to say that, while I love the franchise and immensely enjoyed wc1,2 and 3, I am not a fanboy, nor a regular player even. So, I am not mad or disappointed. I can't even begin to attempt to imagine how those guys must feel.

    Poorly designed and optimized; the game play is absolutely atrocious, especially when compared to the old games. The trailer turned out to be a complete lie in relation to what the actual finished product is. I cannot recommend this game at all due to these factors.

On the highest settings, the in game graphics are only marginally better. It's like paying $30 for a mediocre texture reskin mod. If you have the original Warcraft 3.     Worse graphic than from 17 years ago, cutscenes that were not as advertised (Still using the false advertised cutscenes on their website), users reporting they can't refund it and some being band for helping users getting refunds, features from years ago removed, changes to ToS meaning they can steal your work if you make the next DOTA, fewer animations than prior, shadows not being allowed unless you own reforged... Just to name a few I have seen and heard

    This company is dead for me, and as far as I can see it... nothing they can do will make me want to play their games ever again... At least there is a fraction for Bethesda and EA have slowly gained my respect recently, but Blizzard can't be redeemed in my eyes    … Expand

Whoever has been firing the employees that actually give a damn about this game need to be fired themselves.     Mentiram descaradamente e cortaram muita coisa que havia sido prometida. O jogo está todo bugado. Nem dá pra voltar pro original, uniram os dois jogos e o original também está sofrendo com problemas do Reforged. Isso sem contar com mudanças nos termos com relação aos Custom Games (que eram muito populares) que vão além do que é normal para mods e prejudica criadores.

It is now clear why they did that, they didn't want us seeing the failed promises and blatant false advertising still shown on their website today with the culling campaign trailer. No effort put into "reforged cutscenes" , remastered sure, but not THEIR very own definition of what the term reforged meant 2 years ago at Blizzcon.

    Warcraft 3 was my introduction to blizzard and made me an unwavering fanboy for 17 years. I bought the spoils of war edition to show my support. This is the biggest slap in the face for the hardcore community as we cannot even go back to classic Warcraft 3 anymore as they have merged the ecosystems into this lazy cash grab.

    This just shows to me that the Blizzard we all grew up with is now a soulless mega corporation that only cares about the bottom line and sucking its loyal fanbase dry. I am not eligible for a refund because of my time spent in game and I'm hoping that Australian consumer laws pull through. Yes, That's right if you play this game for over a few hours to experience this mess you cannot refund it and have to put in a ticket.

    Nothing provided except the "updated" skins was applied to the game. Nothing else was provided that was promised. I can't even get my game to run on my ultra-wide monitor.     The very fact that Blizzard removed the classic version of Warcraft 3 means that Reforged deserves none of the love I gave to the original. There are features in the Warcraft 3 classic that aren't in Reforged. Reforged is horribly optimized and crashes at many points in the game. Blizzard's customer service has been incredibly unhelpful as well as disrespectful. I love WC3, I've played a ton in my highschool days, and after that i would come back and replayed the campaigns once a year or so. So i was super hype to go back and replay it again, but with better graphics, better cutscenes and all of that, that was advertised by blizzard in 2018 Blizzcon. But ... I can't, the game is so buggy that I can;t finish prologue, many options , both UI and grpa hics are missing (U can't make keybinds in 2020 WTF, and there are no settings for shadows). The game is a **** joke, and a slap in the face to any fan of WC3… Expand

    very disappointing. Very buggy, clunky mechanics, with no quality of life changes. Campaign loading screen bugs out and is a black screen and then auto defeats you before you can even load into the campaign. still can only select 20 characters at a time. AI move/collision pathing is garbage... Really hope they do a complete overhaul, not worth the money at all atm

    This should not be available for purchase in its current state. Tons of crashes. I couldn’t tell if I was playing the original or reforged with the graphics. For one of the all time greatest games of all times this just wrong to do. Maybe they will fix it up but I’m afraid it will never deliver. Brutal.

They ruined the remake, and somehow managed to ruin the original. Drink your chinese money greedy Bliturd. Your games are the worst now. worse than even Bethesda.

    Ура! -подумал я и начал долгую загрузку. По окончанию я получил слияние классики и куска недоделки под названием Reforged. И ладно, если они существовали по отдельности, ТАК НЕТ их объединили и теперь не работает ни классика, не этот кусок высера. "Спасибо", Близзы за поломку обычного WIII, сжирание оперативки и запуска АЖ ДВУХ ВНУТРЕИГРОВЫХ ЛАУНЧЕРА, что в совокупности с игрой жрут до 4 гб оператвы, а на кастомках, запущенных каким-то чудом в псевдо-одиночной игре, и того доходит до 8гб
    Но хватит про слияние и порчу старого, поговорим о новом:
    Все начинается уже со стартового экрана - меню выбора. Оно провисает до 5-10 фпс! Все то, что вы проходили на классике: ваши сохры, достижения онлайн, прохождение компаний - забудьте. Теперь вы, как чистый лист, нуль, ноль, зеро, после всего того, что вы набивали неделямимесяцамигодами
    Чтобы поиграть, нужно или создать свою игру, т.е. лобби или же присоединиться к кому-то в лобби. И знаете что? Я не смог сделать ни того, ни другого! Только через чертов редактор карт смог войти в открытые кастомки! В первые пару дней эту игру можно было назвать "симулятор чата за 1300 рублей". По сей день я не могу адекватно играть в одиночные игры, компании, а так же играть на серверах.
    Модельки. Ох, это отдельная жопо-боль. По началу они кажутся привлекательными: детализация, текстурки, но вот, когда смотришь на анимацию или строение некоторых моделек, то понимаешь, что какие-то где-то уже видел. Это не удивительно, ведь ими занималась компания Lemon Sky, а не сами Близзы. Анимация очень топорная, плоская, а местами несуразная, взять тех же Могильщиков, что бегут к тебе ОБНИМАТЬСЯ, пританцовывая танго. Сама стилистика большинства моделек, как враждебных, так и расовых мобов схожа с фритуплей гриндилками, где они, по моему мнению, были куда больше к месту, чем тут.
    Есть еще много аспектов, которые меня заставили впасть в ярость, но не вижу смысла тратить на это больше, чем 5 минут своего времени. Что не сказал я - будет обязательно расписано в отзывах другими игроками.    … Expand

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
