    I think this is a joke, a cash grab attempt from Blizzard. I was not promised what was shown, things are not working in game and I have no choice but to update my old Warcraft3 now I'm stuck with both broken game, classic and reforged. I didnt even have a choice. I couldnt even refund. So much for a "reforged"

    Well folks, unfortunately, this is not an out of season April jokes.
    Reforged just doesn’t look as good as it was promised. While the graphics are upgraded, cutscenes don’t feature the cinematic camera work that was previously advertised. You can see the comparison between the 2018 version that was playable at BlizzCon with the launch.

    Time after time Blizzard is delivering us products or patches who are rushed / incomplete / or just seem to have a complete lack of motivation behind it. I would almost say stop paying for your Blizzard products until they step back up in the game of being a REAL game developer.     I played Warcraft 3 as a kid and loved it.

    My entire friend group was excited for this for over a year only to get a unfinished mess that even ruined the classic game for those who didn't buy it.

    Oh the game? Lazy job done. With that budget they could've added more, reworked the graphics and everything. This is just a remaster, no effort cash grab.

    Big disappointment. Did not delivered what was promised and it is bug fest of a game. Barely anything has been improved. Same cutscenes, same UI and bad models animations. Just... What a mess.

    I'm not sure what Blizzard did with all the extra time it got by delaying the release. The final version is filled with bugs, was clearly not ran through a QA department, absolutely horrendous from a performance perspective, replaces the existing game with this new version and just all around stinks.     I just created this account to review this. I won't repeat the problems what are already wrote down a bunch of times. I didn't make this account to join the Hate-Hype wagon, I did it because I care, about this game, about my childhood, and now I have to see what Blizzard did to my boy.... oh boy.... I can't describe how disappointed I am... I just want the old Blizzard back...

    Why didn't Blizzard take the time to polish this. I can't believe even the score screens don't show any detail other than 3 metrics. No graphs, no time-breakdown for when resources/kills occurred. This is even the smallest complaint compared to what other people have already complained about in such great detail.     How they can continue to advertise this game using footage that ISN'T EVEN IN THE GAME is unbelievable. Bugs are one thing, network problems another, but wholly missing advertised features, cutscenes, and animations is beyond the pale.

    Blizzard should downright be ashamed of themselves. This isn't the company that made Warcraft 3. It's just a rotting corpse being reanimated by Activision.

    Nothing that was said and promised has been made. All false hope for the game itself, can't even request a refund. Played the beta never touched the live version of the game. I'm so utterly disappointed in Activision Blizzard atm.

    Bait and switch marketing campaign. Showed a completely different game in their marketing materials, delivered a complete disaster. On top of that, the original game has lost critical features in the process, forcing old users to purchase Reforged for the removed feature-set from the original game (such as Shadows in-game for example).

    False advertisement during Blizzcon 2018, totally broke, slowness. They also broke the original game at the same time.
    Less features than the original Wc3, only remastered graphics (however cinematics are exactly the same). And if you liked making your own custom games, Blizzard now own them.

    The first thing that I want to point out is that I am very unhappy about the Critic reviews. They focus on Warcraft III more than they should instead of focusing on the false advertisement that is Warcraft III: Reforged.

You didn't delete your game, gold star!". Reforge is NOT Warcraft III, it is more akin to a mod. You don't praise the original DotA because it was using Warcraft III Models, terrain, ect. You praise DotA for being a unique concept executed well and using those resources from the base game in a new and innovative way.

    And what did Reforge "reconstruct" that was so valuable? the models? or are you talking about the classic client that no longer exists, or the reconstruction of the forums by banning people? and how the hell does a review that lists ONE GOOD THING HAVE A 75 FOR A SCORE? ESPECIALLY when that ONE good thing is what they DIDN'T change...

    These critics really irritate me, worried more about their jobs and getting paid then the truth and the respect for the game. If any critic reviews this like they have and have played the original Warcraft III, then shame on you. You have let all of us, and yourself, down.

    Remember that apology they gave at Blizzcon 2019? How they 'Didn't live up to their high standards'? Is this their "High Standards"? Is this bringing the world together, or is it epic entertainment? Speaking of which there is a beautiful comment on that video...

    Honestly I do feel stupid. I feel stupid that I gave Blizzard the hope that they could revive my favorite game, bring back what gave me YEARS of REAL Epic Entertainment. The game that created a Genre while commanding its own. Now what? Instead of inspiring the next generation to create the next Genre they are inspiring generations to leave them because they threaten to remove your rights if you have a single productive thought.

    As much as I want to keep going I will end this here before more critics start to post some stupid crap about how "It's still Warcraft III" because they don't have the integrity to tell the truth and fight for what we were promised, or at the very least the things we should have (like our rights).    … Expand

    I don't care about memes, I care that it's literally unplayable and it's been four days. I cannot believe how incomprehensibly bad this is and I've played the beta for six months. Shocking, shameful. I will never support blizzard again. I stuck through all the drama because of my love for Classic, but this is it for me. Done. 21 years of support gone.

    I just can't believe this as passed Blizzard's QA.
    - Missing assets/models for some doodads and units in the campaign
    - Cutscenes aren't improved as advertised.
    - Can't resize the UI
    - Multiplayer is now region locked.
    - Almost every custom games are broken
    - Can't play warcraft classic anymore. You can't escape the crap Reforged delivered.

    - Keine Ladder (Soll nachgepatcht werden, StarCraft Remastered lässt grüßen, immer noch kein 2vs2 Modus)
    - Wo ist Frozen Throne hin?
    - Keine Ladder ( Ja ich weiß Doppelaufzählung, aber ist ja bei einem kompetetiven RTS-Game mit 20 Jahren Liga, egal, braucht ja keiner)
    - Kein Onlineprofil
    - Keine Statistiken( Wer braucht schon ne Winrate, wenn er sich ja auch auf Mundpropaganda verlassen kann, um den Clan "Shadows of darkness" beizutreten) "Natürlich, habe ich eine 70% WR
    - Keinerlei merkliche Verbesserung
    - Für alle Nostalgiker unter euch, ihr müsst/dürft die Hotkeys auch weiterhin über eine .txt Datei bearbeiten, wie damals im Jahr 2000 #Retro
    - Die "SPECIAL" -Edition für satte 10€ mehr, damit man diverse Skins für andere Blizzard bekommt hahaha, weil Blizzard möchte ja nicht, dass ihr WC3 spielt, spielt doch lieber Hearthstone mit eurem coolen, neuen Kartenrücken

    They even replaced the legendary art director Samwise Didier`s icon from game. This artist is an idol of the art of Blizzard games. it feels like a spit in the face to fanbase and it dirty my nostalgic memories about epic game Warcraft 3.     Just becouse some marketing vvh0re consider I now need a "REFORGED" version, what suck ALL THE WAY (Constantly crashes, lagging in frigin MENU!!!, broken custom maps). Why not allow older version stay where it is. That beyond understanding! (Imagine you never can play StarCraft without SC2)

    The game is now a much shallower version of the game we were promised. Yes, there are new models. These models that were outsourced to a Malaysian company that worked on the Starcraft remaster. So if another company is responsible for these models, what they hell is Blizzard responsible for here?

    -One recreated cutscene. Not the '4 hours' of remastered cutscenes that was promised.
    -No new UI
    -No new voice acting
    -No new story and campaign elements (The wikipedia entry has the gall to blame fan feedback for this)
    -a bug filled game, including a bug that 'auto fails' campaign missions.
    - A creation tool /custom game mode, where Blizzard owns any intellectual and moral rights to anything that fans create. Blizzard does not need to even credit the creator.

    How this game was released in this state is beyond me. What happened that all of these promised features were scrapped? The 'old' Blizzard would never have allowed a game to launch in this state. The old 'Blizzard polish' is missing and this is the worst game they have released.

    J Allen Brack. Hang your head in shame. Your predecessor Mike Morheim would never have allowed this.

    Warcraft 3 itself is a 10/10 game. But it is a game I've owned for years. Blizzard made me pay money to downgrade my experience of the game, and there's no way back to the game that I love.

I was so excited that Blizzard decided to reforge this game and now what I am seeing is a reskin game, this is not the game Blizzard promised a year ago.

There are no ladders. There are no chat commands. There are rampant bugs. Custom campaigns are currently absent. Custom content is now the exclusive property of Blizzard. The list goes on. There is literally no reason to play this game over the original unless you like the new visual design which, for most, isn't even an objective improvement.

    I couldn't start the campaign. Couldn't play custom games. There's no ladder and matchmaking wasn't even working. Menu is broken and some features don't work. The only thing I could do in the game was stare at the main menu and chat with other disappointed players in the global chat.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.
