    Broken promises and a game that crashes in every single mode after launch. Combine that with removing acess to the classic version and blizzard managed to kill wc3 after being active for 17 years

    I gave it a one because it is WC3. I played for an hour and requested a refund. This game is garbage and a total embarrassment for a once great game developer. The Blizzard of old is long since gone. This was the final nail in the coffin for me. This game is inexcusable.

    Well, WarCraft 3 Reforged is not a bad game (as the s***storm here seems to show) but Blizzard seems to know how to underdeliver. The Engine seems to be still the old one which seems to be a problem for the CPU because almost the base-game was a single-threaded game. This leads to really bad performance from time to time.     Onto the review:
    -They left out A LOT of things. They just didn't put them in, or even bother to put them into a patch. No word as of this review when they will be added
    -no ladder
    -no skirmish
    -offline play has "timeouts" instead of a proper pause. Really guys? Did it cost that much to put that in or are you just power hungry?
    -No new UI, it's just a painted over UI of the old one
    -Absolutely zero Quality of Life upgrades. None. They are non existent.
    -None of the cutscenes are remastered or redone or anything. They removed the Stratholme cutscene AND IT IS STILL IN THE GAME FILES
    Biggest blunder from Activision Blizzard. Both companies are responsible for this mess, for having yes men who blindly agree with everything in Blizzard without even saying "stop we need more time" and for Activision for just seeing this as paycheck. I give the company another 5-10 years MAX before they are no more.    … Expand

    The only positive for WC3:reforged are the art assets that were actually updated look great. Kudos to the third party studio that did the work. HOWEVER, Blizzard released a game that is missing almost everything that was marketed when they opened preorders. I bought the version with the extra goodies because I had faith in the developer .     I've played Warcraft III for 12 years. I can accept being sold a bad product. It happens. Losing $30 never killed anyone. When a developer has the audacity to make a mandatory update that removes the most endearing features in a classic title, take "moral ownership" of its community's mods, falsely advertise new features, and try to charge their player base for it? That's utterly unacceptable.

    I like the game, but seriously this is extremely disappointing without even talking about the false advertising. I think it should be abundantly clear that what they have done with the game is unacceptable. Many features from the old game don't work, and the graphical upgrades, while nice, are not nearly good enough to justify it.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. No bot battles. No PVP clans/ladders. Custom games seriously effed up. Buggy stattery gameplay - even the menus bug out occasionally. Original game clients disappearing or being effed up. People can't play the games THEY BOUGHT 18 YEARS AGO (yes I have the original CDs). Whatever "reforging" of cinematics, esp. the epic fight at the end of main game, it made them simply worse and stupid. Missing voice acting from units. Lots of what people loved in the original game is gone - and on top of that Blizzard doesn't let people own the custom games they create. AND ON TOP OF THAT, they ban people who mention this stuff in forums and demand refunds.

The preview last 2018 was a lot better than the actual product. This is like Beta version if not alpha version at launch date. I regret pre-ordering this game. Probably my last blizz game. Да игра требует некоторых доработок, но это обновленный продукт который стоит своих денег, лично я не жалею что приобрел Warcraft III Reforged. Прошел половину компании на одном дыхании с огромным удовольствием и приливом ностальгии . Искренне надеюсь что разработчики до полируют эту игру, и она станет такой же культовой как и старая ее версия. Главное не сдаваться и делать ее лучше. К сожалению "НЕДОКРИТИКИ" просто хоронят этот бриллиант не давая ему продыхнуть. А ведь возможно когда то по этой серии игр сняли бы какой нибудь добротный сериалец! А с таким фиаском становится ясно что лучше и не трогать эту замечательную историю потому что люди разбились на 2 фронта: одним подавай точную копию только красивую а другим что то измененное... А для идеальной игры им просто не хватило времени, если бы они ее перенесли не на месяц а на пол года то возможно все прошло бы куда лучше ! Лично я буду играть в эту игру, буду играть и надеяться на то что все мелкие недочеты быстро уберут ближайшим обновлением!!!… Expand

    This is total junkware. It's a thinly veiled power grab, designed more to facilitate Blizzard's acquisition of other peoples' hard work on mods, but the actual work they put into making the game better is next to nothing. Do not support Activision Blizzard. Starve them out of their unethical, greedy, anti-democracy tailspin. Or if they won't wake up, let them go out of business.

Vendu 30 boules pour un jeu qui ne respecte pas le cahier des charges, avoir une présentation qui hype tout le monde a la blizcon pour avec la moitié de ce qui était promis ( cinematique , nouvelle texture,...).     This game is trash. They threw a minor visual upgrade over the old game and called it a day. They didn't even bother to make it possible to select more than 12 units. Unit pathing and collision is awful. This is a farce, and absolute embarrassment of one one hand the potential and promises that were made and in the other hand the dumpster fire they released. Screw you, Blizzard.

This is a over 10 year old game, with updated but still outdated models, trimmed moddabilty & funtionality ( you cant even play against AI offline!) also your old WC3 gets    This is the product you´ll get when sales people dictate what gamers want.

    As a Warcraft 3 fan I was ecstatic that Blizzard decided to revamp it. I bought the pre-order, but the game plays and feels like **** compared to what was promised.

    The lack of polish from what was promised makes this game feel like a cheap Chinese ripoff.

    I genuinely feel like I've been scammed. This was my last ever Pre-order.

    WC3 Reforged needs "more work my lord"... I love the warcraft series! So I've been eagerly waiting for this to come out. I pre-purchased and never got access to the old game (as promised) or access to the beta multi-player (also as promised). Then the game was delayed multiple times and when I finally downloaded it.... it didn't work at all. So I spent hours trying to trouble shoot since IWC3 Reforged needs "more work my lord"... I love the warcraft series! So I've been eagerly waiting for this to come out. I pre-purchased and never got access to the old game (as promised) or access to the beta multi-player (also as promised). Then the game was delayed multiple times and when I finally downloaded it.... it didn't work at all. So I spent hours trying to trouble shoot since I have no issues with other games or programs and my computer is a gaming rig with a gtx 1070 (a laughable overkill for more than the requirements) I have yet to get the game to run! I was finally so frustrated that I brought out an old laptop and finally got the game to run on it but it frequently crashes between single player levels and multi player won't even run. It just crashes. It's really sad that Blizzard stopped caring about what gamers want and are only concerned with satisfying investors (even though I own blizzard stock) and the new Chinese based owners...… Expand

The online constantly glitches and freezes and turns off. The 9/10 is given for the fact that the cutscenes could be much better for a remastered game. $30 is a good price, but I see potential to make it better from such a great developer. I love strategy games like C&C and Halo wars. I love the heroes.     Feels like a downgraded version of the original, with but with slightly better 3D models. I really tried to like this game too - bought it 13 months in advance...

    - No new UI
    - No new cutscenes (just the old ones rescaled)
    - No clans, chat boards, etc.
    - No competitive ladder
    - Bugs & crashes

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.
