    Very disappointing we didn't got what they promised in the trailers and removed some stuff from the old game like ladder , clans and it's just like the old Warcraft the only difference is they remodel the units and the heroes that's it so I recommend not buying the game because it's not worth your money .

    Version graphic's and cinematic's are not as advertised and the new TOS has ruined the modding community anything you create "Activision Blizzard" owns everything and you get nothing and mods what they find inappropriate will result in actions taken against your account.
    I'm trying to refund my game I doubt I will be successful, 3 days and not even one reply from them.

    I, like many others, pre-ordered this game after the Blizzcon 2018 announcement. I wasn't too huge of a fan of the HotS-style graphics update, but understood that that is the direction their art department is going in general (to match the WoW stuff they're doing) so fine - I can deal. Regardless, they kept saying that the engine itself wasn't being changed (which is very important as aI, like many others, pre-ordered this game after the Blizzcon 2018 announcement. I wasn't too huge of a fan of the HotS-style graphics update, but understood that that is the direction their art department is going in general (to match the WoW stuff they're doing) so fine - I can deal. Regardless, they kept saying that the engine itself wasn't being changed (which is very important as a "function over form" person) and they were even going to add new in-game cinematics (like the Culling of Stratholme trailer shown at Blizzcon [that's still up on their website as of writing this]). Great! Hey, even adding some new UI features to modernize a 17 year old game with QoL improvements is fine with me.

    Then this game released. After crashing to desktop multiple times while going through the Orc Prologue missions, having the game freeze up then catch up really quickly (including other frame drops), and not saving my progress properly when trying to close/restart the game... I was finally getting through the campaign - the campaign that solidified myself as a Warcraft mega-fan (loved OvH and ToD/BtDP but RoC/TFT are simply splendid). And I immediately noticed the animation fidelity wasn't the same. The way the characters move (or don't move) was jarring. Everything felt "off" when instead this should be a triumph of Blizzard's maturity as a development studio, right?

    Examples: there's an Interlude where The Prophet calls upon Arthas to lead his people West and in the original game you see Arthas' head track the Raven as he flies by, in Reforged Arthas just stands there as if in T-pose. It's quite honestly pathetic. Speaking of the Prophet, when he transforms into the Raven and vice versa, there is no effect that plays. There is no metamorphosis animation. It simply model-replaces after enlarging/shrinking accordingly. Again, utterly pathetic.

    I could go on with how many little things they just completely missed with this game but you probably get the idea. I mentioned some of these (as well as all of the performance issues I had) to Blizzard and got my refund. This is not something I can support.

    None of any of the above even begins to describe the issues many are taking with the updated ToS. Nor the lack of clan support, a ladder, tournaments, and complete removal of the original games' ability to be played (now the "Classic" versions of RoC and TFT *must* be played through the Reforged client). This is a tremendous failure from a company that should honestly know better. Shame on Blizzard.

    Shame on the art department for letting lore-breaking models slip through (human ears on Naga, ffs). Shame on the animators for their inability to recreate iconic moments from the original game with the updated graphics. Shame on the systems engineers for breaking their flawlessly running game somehow with massive frame drops and crashes. Shame on the leadership for getting rid of the new in-game cinematics (that, again, are still being advertised as a selling point on their website as of writing this - how is this not class-actionable?).     This game is a sad excuse for a money grab from Activision. I use this word only to describe how awful this is to blizzard. Activisions rape of the idea blizzard stood for. Its literally designed for fans to make games for free for activision and steal the credit. Avoid at all costs!

    Don't really know how you can take something that was near perfect to start and ruin it so bad. The enhanced visuals may look nice but this is like buying a used police cruiser. The miles might look low but the engine doesn't run. This game fails to deliver most of what it promised and prevents you from playing the original game.     Compre la version premium, tengo un i7 9700k, una 2080, 32gb de ram y sigue dando tirones en la campaña, ademas que el juego baja a 20 fps en ocaciones. No me puedo creer que arruinaron un gran juego ya que la version clasica tambien fue modificada.     The thing that kept me playing this game all these years was the custom games. Thanks to all the developers that have kept this game alive for me all these years. Shame on blizzard for taking away their creative rights and the classic experience,

Unfortunately again you can see that nowadays Blizzard it's just a shadow of itself. Fusion with Activision was worst thing they could do to the gamers.     Ruined my childhood game which I spent years playing it. I used to create maps just to play with my Friends but still imaginening one day it will get popular and I will be making new games for life :) taking this from new gen I just a bad PR

    I have the game since 2002. I loved it. It took 3gb in my hard drive.
    they destroyed the game. is barely playable.
    *can't play it without installing a 30gb patch with 4k textures of which i don't care.
    * animations are cut in half,
    *lots of maps have been banned.
    *no ladder or competitive games
    *even official tournaments CRASH!!
    . Not going to give money to this crap. Stay away ☹️

    New graphic style is so bad and it completely goes away from the style that made warcraft so unique. I am long time fan, i played from warcraft 1 so its over 20 years of experience. Really dissapointed. Blizzard you have only become memory of something that was nice.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I really had high hopes for this game. I really did. But after seeing what they did with it, i would prefer this game had ever come to the reality.
    First of all this is a game from my adolescence, i had really great moments with it, and until a few days ago i countinued playing it (custom maps were awesome, custom campaigns, repeat the normal campaign over and over again...)
    But today that game has died to me. I can't even play the classic game anymore, all my files, everything, lost. BLIZZARD has deceided that if you install the last patch (even if you don't have reforged) they STEAL from you the game, you are not allowed anymore to play it.
    Besides all of this this game is not what the promised. Where are the remastered cutscenes? (they even cut the scene they showed in the blizzcon!!), awefull UI, bugs that where in the classic are still here even new bugs! everything about this game is terrible and shouldn't ever ever have seen the light.
    Oh! and i can't ask for a refund even if they literally lie to all of us, because in the moment you click the button play, you are doomed.

    Es un juego que está a medio hacer, le falta contenido y detalles de mucho peso que han dejado se pulir. Tiene bugs notables, en especial una inestabilidad que tiende a afectar la carga de fases y mapas. Horroroso. Que decir que su optimizacion no es envidiable

    - Ужасная ру озвучка
    - Графика, модели, анимация отличаются от того, что было в демке в худшую сторону. - Единственный переделанный ролик и то халтурно ! - Анимация движения в катсценах кампании это ужас, особенно у Артаса. И можно было бы ещё продолжить да до меня всё сказано. П.С: Я люблю вселенную Варкрафт    У меня отняли мой классический War Craft 3 и заменили его какой-то хернёй !

    The original Warcraft 3 is what got me into Blizzard games. I played WoW for over 10 years and that is because Warcraft 3 sucked me in.

    This asset flip of a "remake" feels like a slap in the face. I got an hour in before I decided to bite the bullet and refund it.

    I used to love making maps in wc3, so much depth and creativity possible! I was just a kid and the ui was tricky to learn as I wasn't a programmer. but whenever I encountered something I couldn't solve myself I found it online. I learned so much from it!
    But alas, no more. No longer allowed to grab assets or graphics from elsewhere as that would mean the map could be deleted, account    I used to love making maps in wc3, so much depth and creativity possible!     I also liked the redesign of some areas like the Silvermoon City and the Sunwell, Stratholme, etc. But even with all that. This game is not what was advertised (and is still being advertised as of    Warcraft III: Reforged is at its most a visual upgrade to the old classic RTS game.
    I liked the little touches like the loading bar saying things like "Purging" "spreading the scourge", etc.
    I also liked the redesign of some areas like the Silvermoon City and the Sunwell, Stratholme, etc.
    But even with all that. This game is not what was advertised (and is still being advertised as of this day on the playwarcraft3.com page) On the page it still says "4 hours of reforged cinematics" showing an example of those cinematics with "The Culling" intro one. With character interactions that really spiced up the story and made it a fresh turn on an 17 year old game.
    Sadly enough, the game does not fulfill neither what it promised nor what it should have delivered as a remake of one of the greatest classics.
    The game is buggy, the UI images sometimes clip when selecting another unit, the models my glitch, "Singleplayer" made games are in reality hosted and therefore have a great lag even if you're alone playing them.
    Some cinematic have new camera angles, but that's all, no special movements/actions made for the cinematics like what is advertised with "The Culling" cinematic. Sometimes characters won't even move their mouth when talking.
    What to say about the menu screen, it has been shown to be running on Chromium, eating up almost all your RAM, wonder why a company of Blizzard's level would use an open software instead of building the menu on the game itself.
    I really think Blizzard outdid themselves this time in terms of literally not giving a f*ck about their own standards, their own community and players. Or as they see us now, their clients.
    If they just leave this huge problem as it is, then I'm sure they'll never receive support from us ever again. When they announce a Warcraft IV, if they ever do, no one will hype, after the fiasco that Reforged was.
    They are also doing something alike on WoW, but I only know about that in terms of lore, as I don't play WoW anymore, but if they keep going on this path, they will soon just become another of those "big AAA game-making companies that literally make cashgrabs that are absolute garbage and do not meet even todays lowest standards for any given game".
    Too sad to see that a remake of a game that could have sparkled so much was just thrown to the trashcan just because Blizzard won't care about the quality of their products until they start to just see their income fall.

    To end this review, I'll put a list of things that are good, and a list of things that are bad about Warcraft III: Reforged.

    Good things:
    Some models are really interesting and well designed.
    Two to three maps have been given a new layout that gives them a fresh look.

    Bad Things:
    Client really buggy-
    Game really laggy sometimes.
    The "4 Hours of Reforged in-game cinematics" are a perfect example of the truest false advertising.
    Addition of "Lore important characters" like Anaesterian just ofr the sake of catering to the "lore-
    hard" fans. Yet without any lines for them to interact with the known characters.
    Models glitch.
    Ui glitches.
    The "Reforged Cinematics" glitch.
    The game won't let you play singeplayer games without making a localhost, meaning if your
    internet disconnects, you'll be disconnected from that game. This even happens on the
    Campaign.
    No possibility to play custom campaigns, at least for the time being.

    From what I've seen on interviews from Blizzcon 2018 and 2019. I really think the team that was working directly on the game had a passion for it. But because of Blizzard's greediness they were pressed to deliver the game in whatever state on the Announced date of release, while also having a really low budget for Blizzard's standards.

    I really hope Blizzard sees the gigantic mistake they made with Reforged and redeem themselves not by apologizing or saying "we no understand it was a mistake" but by acting, update the game, polish it to the point where it resembles what was advertised, and then we'll start trusting you again. But until then, I'm not going to buy any other Blizzard game. As they've showed that they do not care for Quality.    … Expand

    First time ever bothered to write down a score for a video-game, this game went to far on broken promises, could not wait to play it again with new cut scenes and remade cinematic, plus they removed the best stuff what made Warcraft 3 and the Frozen Throne as a great game. Keep the money Activision-Blizzard if that is the most you care, but this review will stay here forever.

    If you enjoyed being lied to by a developer with false advertising this is the game for you. Missing promised features, dramatically worse cut scenes then what shown... Blizzard's standards just keep getting worse and worse. A bit like their metacritic score.

I had the hardest time getting the game go load anything, campaign, standard multiplayer, and custom maps vs the AI. Turns out, Reforged installed their field into the same folders at the original Warcraft III. This confused the game somehow and nothing would load correctly.     Iv played Blizzard games since playing Diablo 1 on PS1 with my friends, but...this isnt the same people who made those games. The word Scam is too light a descriptor for this lie of a game. At this point, we need the law to crack the whip of justice upon this Chinese invasion of our basic rights. I am no longer going to buy their products even if its a Diablo title, Blizzard is dead.

The game is a bug ridden unstable mess, it was thrusted upon people playing the functional WC3 original, it came with a TOS that murders any hope of custom maps and sign away the rights to a refund, the game failed to deliver cutscene updates that were promised, and even if you annex all of this, it still isn't a good RTS compared to Starcraft Reforged or the reworked Age of Empires games. Seriously, get command and conquer or another RTS. This isn't worth it.… Expand

They really should take the blizzard flag down, piss on it, and replace it with an Activision flag at the Irvine HQ. Thats essentially what they did to this game.     I literally just created a metacritic account so I can review this... I know everyone else already said what is wrong about this game, but this is the defining proof that Blizzard does not care about their paying customers anymore. They care more about pleasing their investors so that Ol' Johnny Boy can get his own yacht. This game is the undisputed definition of a cash grab.

    Let this game remind you that Blizzard is a completely different company, and that it's corporate driven. The marketing for said game is really deceptive, and it offers only 5 of the ten features I looked at. It's heavily unfinished, buggy - and a corruption of what we knew the original Warcraft 3 as. And to make matters worse, you can't play the original Warcraft 3 online (sans LAN) anymore.

    This is no upgrade. This is a severe downgrade to how the game has been. I was going to buy Shadowlands too, but if this is the quality of what I would be preordering, I am going to pull my funds away from Blizzard IPs and focus on other ones who would give some care and love to the games they make. Bungie had it right in splitting from Activision-Blizzard.    … Expand

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
