    > Promised new GUI and new Cut scenes weren't in the game but that's forgivable. The bugs are forgivable. Being a terrible remaster is forgivable but ruining the original with the "merge" is unforgivable.

    It appears that this was nothing more than a nostalgia based money grab on the part of Blizzard. Even the campaigns are bug ridden giving me errors causing me to back out just so I can continue. I expected better from Blizzard and long for the days when the patches were balance related versus introducing bugs. Then, the fact that I can no longer fire up the OG III or TFT just adds to myIt appears that this was nothing more than a nostalgia based money grab on the part of Blizzard. Even the campaigns are bug ridden giving me errors causing me to back out just so I can continue. I expected better from Blizzard and long for the days when the patches were balance related versus introducing bugs. Then, the fact that I can no longer fire up the OG III or TFT just adds to my frustration with this game.     I am so disappointed, not only because I think the game is absolute junk and have departed from the original in such a dramatic manner, but also because of the way fans report to have been treated following the release of this abomination.

    Game doesn’t even come close to what they promised on blizzcon 2018, they promised almost a new game, with tons of added cinematics and fully upgraded graphics but actually it’s just a bunch revamped character models, I barely see any difference between old 2002 and the new reforged terrain, new models become awkward sitting on top of the old 2002 graphics, it feels like just a half-doneGame doesn’t even come close to what they promised on blizzcon 2018, they promised almost a new game, with tons of added cinematics and fully upgraded graphics but actually it’s just a bunch revamped character models, I barely see any difference between old 2002 and the new reforged terrain, new models become awkward sitting on top of the old 2002 graphics, it feels like just a half-done job to grab some money since they are charging almost what a new game nowadays cost. If it were just for that, but no, they also killed the modding community, responsible for the success of the old game with games like DotA, Tower Defenses and other thousands of mods that people only bought the game to play them. They imposed intellectual property over any mod made using their platform, so they could milk more any players that is doing something to make the game better.. a Along with that, they removed some features from the old game and forced the old client to update to a “reforged lite” version of this, killing the joy from from those still playing the original Reign of Chaos and The Frozen thrne… Expand

    Décevant au possible... les modèles ont été refaits, c’est la seule nouveauté. L’environnement (arbres, etc) est moins joli que dans le jeu original... les cinématiques sont les mêmes que le jeu original, on croirait qu’elles ont été améliorée avec un filtre Snapchat... scandaleux

    This is the epitome of Activison Blizzard's greed. Rushed and horrible, not to mention their egoistic, and spiteful new custom content rules.

    Do not support this company, do not give them any more money in any way shape or form. This was the last straw for me.

    Good job Bobby Kotic. You are now on the level of -EA- of all people.

    I have being a fan of Blizzard ever since they were not even Blizzard yet (from S&S days). I have seen the passion of the likes of Mike Morhaime and Chris Metzen. After Activision that fire burned out, that passion for games ended. How could the old Blizzard, the one who never released a game that was not stellar, do this? This is a slap in the face of everyone who has ever given a pennyI have being a fan of Blizzard ever since they were not even Blizzard yet (from S&S days).     It's outright false advertising. They gave us a set of trailers, ie advertisement, that has been proven utterly different from the actual product, ie false. We need to start holding people accountable for this.

    The biggest insult of the decade! The ONLY job Blizzard had was to reskin the game. And they completely failed at it! Light effects are awful, color team are almost non existent, terrains look like the 90s.

    And apart from that, not a single feature has been added. Most good features from the old game are now not available anymore. Definitely worth your money!

    I was really, really excited for war III, for new players to experience the game and hoped that the RTS genre will go through a revival. I no longer see any of that happening. All we got is war III with slightly nicer graphics (not even up to the current gaming standards) and several downgrades (no auto tournaments, no clans, profiles, ladder etc).. its not an overhaul, its not a reforge from the ground up. Activision took the one route, basically laziest one possible. They put everything on the purists, they used the nostalgic elitists as reasoning since they were the ones that asked for nothing other than visuals to be changed. ( couldn't you 'pro gamers' have just kept playing the old version?...)
    reforged could have been so much more and this is so sad especially because blizzard said that based on the feedback from it they will gauge the interest for war IV. nostalgic elitists / purists gave the clowns at activision the perfect excuse not to reforge this game in any shape or form, and instead, release the same pile of clunky pre 2000’s mechanics/gameplay with JUST SLIGHTLY improved graphics and multiple bugs. All activision/blizzard really did with this reforge is to charge money for models, and that’s it.     It's a remaster of a game from 2002, that is SIGNIFICANTLY worse than the original. That is FULLY deserving of a 0 score. Add to that they have intentionally sabotaged the original to prevent people ever playing it again and this game deserves a minus score.

    This product is just embarrassing to the source material. Blizzard used to be known for its polish on games, but they missed the mark on this game. The cut scenes are no where visually impressive as they were shown to be; crashes, bugs and glitches still abound in a 16 year old game; the new rule of "you make it, we own it" kills the creative community; etc etc - The game DOES deserve allThis product is just embarrassing to the source material. The fact that I have to even type that is ludicrous.     First i Was happy when they have announced reforged. Then after several years there were new patches for the classic warcraft. Until then the game lived mainly from its community and the costum maps. It was a perfect game all around. But Blizzard managed to patch the game dead.     Bonitinho, mas uma péssima experiência. A partida personalizada tem lag (como?), as cinematicas do trailer foram removidas do jogo. Várias vezes ele fecha sozinho depois de estar rodando por 1h mais ou menos, sem ter opção de salvar. A campanha também fecha do nada em derrota. Péssimo.

    The score should be negative really, because this new pile of code made the existing game worse, while also carefully making sure no one is able to play the old better game in its original state. This is what you get when people that don't know anything about gaming and their community, get to call the shots.

    I believed them when they said "Warcraft® III: Reforged™ is a complete reimagining of a real-time strategy classic. Experience the epic origin stories of Warcraft, now more stunning and evocative than ever before."... and I was a fool to do so, they've been letting the ball drop year after year... you'd think they learned not to **** up this bad when the Diablo Mobile was announced on Blizzcon.. but nope.

    What they learned was: People forget, and as long as they keep forgetting, we'll keep on profitting at their expense.

    There's no 'reimagining' of anything in this game, it's Warcraft III from 20 years ago with a new face paint. I do understand that people can be skeptic while changing the gameplay, I really do, but instead of creating new animations, giving them a new variety of skins, improving the cinematics and etc.. they settled for "Lets give them new models.. and push back a month so we can pretend we were working on other stuff as well so the fanbase don't lash out as hard as we think they will when they see this awful mess we made here."

    Welp, you dun' F# up Activision Blizzard, you advertised something that was false, delivered another buggy and experience, one that continuously crashes, you broke the multiplayer servers, you changed you TOS in order to safeguard yourself against the next DOTA (saying that you OWN any of the maps and the ideas behind them no matter who created them). Not only that, people whom owned WC3 and didn't want to update were forced to swallow these changes. Having options such as SHADOWS removed.

    You don't have a "0" game, the game is a rudimentary 6-7 because you messed up and made a buggy creation, but your M.O .. your scummy attitude make it be a "0" game. If they fix this mess I will change this review, but I doubt there's any salvaging from this situation at this point, after all.. Then it was released in this state and my son looked me in the eyes and called me a liar because the game is nothing like the advertisements and videos we watched together .     Only played multiplayer. I have to quit the game about twice an hour because the client freezes up and there is now way to recover it. Custom games do not work at all. Mainly interested in that. uh and all the multiplayer games are lagging 1 second lag on every action. this was for about seven days before launch and release of the full game didnt fix anything. issues abound it is still aOnly played multiplayer.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Going from work at night, I imagined how I cut out the stratholme, did not go to bed until 2, to start the preload, I got up at 8. I start and feel that something is not right, the remaster cannot put it on the menu, but it turned out maybe, well, I’m launching an alliance campaign and at the cinematic stage, the first bells appear, the voice actor Minetila doesn’t hit her lips (there’s no lip-link), and after him it all started and I see **** bald patches on the sides of the screen, I remember demo 18 with a normal interface and I already feel the **** up, but in the game itself it’s not all so terrible with FPS. And now I'm ready to save the **** Timmy again, but the game counts my defeat out of the blue. Gritting my teeth, I get to the defensive mission for half an hour and the Vietnamese flashbacks again make themselves felt. And now, at 25 minutes, I understand that the mission is very easy compared to the regular version, but the game decided differently and failed the mission with nothing, blazing like Ragnaros, I finally got to the evil-minded stratholme and the mission specifically degraded compared to the original . Having filled 100 villagers, I watch the cutscene and the game crashes. Blowing all the progress to the dicks.
    I did not swear so long ago. It was very lamp, to get together in the Second World War classic after so much time and from reforging, I wanted the same feeling, but I got it, but you all know what I got    … Expand

    In my wildest dreams I see a return to the Blizzard of ages past, without all the BS.
    Even if the score doesn't reach quite that low, even if it doesn't make the Blizzard that gifted the world Warcraft 3 Classic, I can still dream.     Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.
