Give it time. 2-3 years, so community can fix another bethesda game.

    - Partiamo sui questi meravigliosi 1000 pianeti!
    - Problema principale troppi caricamenti!.
    Non ci siamo.

    1) Hideous NPC Models, and non immersive interactions with them and the cities. NPCS are very uncanny valley and if you shoot your gun in the city they don't even flee in terror. They disappear in an elevator instead of actually riding it, even Golden Eye on 64 had working elevators.

    3) Planets are boring. Magnificent desolation Todd says, well its more of the latter. Even the ones with life have only or or two reskinned boring animals. No ecosystems, food chains, or interesting biology. Terrain generation leaves a lot to be desire, Minecraft did it better. The points of interest are of few types and will start to repeat early on. Caves are small holes with some minor loot. Minecraft cave system much better.

    4) Horrible performance, that isn't justified by the visuals. Even in doors the game performs poorly on up to date hardware.

    5) Bugs galore, same janky engine since Skyrim.

I had zero expectations for the game, but my experience surprised me a lot. It was, literally, the worst gaming experience i've ever had in a single-player game. I would never recommend paying 100 euros for this game. Instead, play it on Gamepass, try it out with Steam's library sharing feature, or get it through other, very "jolly roger" means. This game is not worth 70 or 100 euros, not even close.

Second thing is that they said in intervies before release that its Open World game, that you can land on planet and explore it all - Now that is a big lie.
This Game is not space game, its loading screen game, where you teleport everywhere. to go from base to quest mission on another planet / or solar system you need to have from 2 to 6 loading screens, depends if you click on map for fast travel or you want to go to ship> to orbit >to another solar system > to planet > to land on a planet... + whenever you want to enter building (most of them) its LOADING SCREEN.

1000 Planets? More like 500.. the rest you cant land on or game gives you random generated building to explore or other atraction - the problem is that after few hours of traveling you seen all of the random buildings and small quests..

There are lots of bugs with companions as well, sometimes they stand on chairs insted of sitting, sometimes they fly from your space throug ship, they stand in wierd positions in dors or shelves or tables.

The last thing (there is more but i dont want to write that much) is bad Optimalization on PC. its 2023, cyberpunk has better graphic and 3070ti can run it on 1440p+FULL RT + Hight details on 60fps easy.

    Starfield? oh boy... Mid/High setting + 1440p + fsr2 = 40-50fps in building to 30fps in cities.
And what Todd Howard said about this optimalization problem?
''MAYBE YOU SHOULD UPGRADE YOU PC...'' - Todd Howard 09.07.23.

But its not 1/10 and no one should give lower mark then 3.
There are bright stuff as well. Its Fallout 4 in space!! Lots of looting, lots of quests, alot of items like armor and guns. Story is fine+. The combat is good even if AI from enemies is bad.

The mod community is amazing as well, in just a day they fixed ui and wierd green color, added dlss that gave me +10more fps, And gave HDR and FOV that was not in game!

Overall i enjoy playing this game and hope it will do comeback in ''No Man Sky'' style.

Downside - still hot mess (esp. NPC details/models) compared to other games.

Lots of walking - can be immersive at first.
Downside - lack of transportation at surface means that you spend vast majority of time walking arouind. This will apply to all planets that you travel for, most likely, suveying for outpost and missions.

Shipbuilding - Slight depth to it, customizability.
Downside - lack of accessible parts (level-locked and skill-locked, and system-locked until outposts are built) means that customizing ships are hard. There is a size limitation which means bigger ships are curently impossible to build without mods, and there are egregious limitations on what you can actually build & with exterior ship features/details in mind.

Space travel - Random encounters everywhere (usually copypasta of same ones, especially pirate). space stations feel very copy-pasta. you'll notice similarities of layouts quite a bit. Fuel is automatically replenished. no sense of danger in getting lost.

Outpost/crafting (the most insulting part of this game) -
You can only craft outpost buildings, part that goes into it, medical consumables and weapon upgrades.
What you cannot make, as of moment:
    - Ship parts/structures (only purchasable, or by taking over ships)

    - Weapons/spacesuits/apparels (only purchasable or through loots)

    - Ammos. Higher difficulty or even lower diff, with minimal points into combat will make you use bullets a lot and spend considerable amount of money on just buying ammos, or forcing you to scavenge for ammo.

-Contraband items. making this and selling to npcs, along with everything above, would completely change the depth of gameplay with outpost mechanic with added depth, without sacrificing difficulty/complexity, as this would be completely optional.

bugs. Ranging from purely cosmetic bugs (there are lots of it, this is a bugthesda game after all), minor bugs (requiring reloads) to softlocks (game refresh mandatory).

    map design.
Planet survey is pointless. resource locations (on surface) is completely randomized.
in-game local maps are not present. surface map does not give good detail - THERE IS NO SETTLEMENT MAP

System search is not present. you'd think, with 500 systems on the map, you'd think bethesda would have favorite bar/search functionality to the map. Nope - you're forced to use a third party interactive map and search system using those.

Considering all this, The more hours you spend the game, your experience will become good to bad.
Therefore, I cannot recommend people to play this game, as this game has replayability being its heavy focus, a common bethesda game trait.

Space orchestra intro/casuals might enjoy the current level of depth it has. but it's definitely not going to be enough if you want to dive deeper into mechanics, because there aren't any present.

The optimization is tragic; I've never seen a game perform so poorly. Sometimes I get 10 fps, sometimes 40, it's random. It doesn't matter whether it's in the city or the wilderness.

    Loading screens are everywhere:

Enter a building / loading screen
Board a ship / loading screen
Change floors in a building or ship / loading screen
Travel to another planet / 3 loading screens
There's no space exploration; discovering other planets and star systems involves teleporting by clicking the 'x' button and watching a loading screen. The space itself is only used for short battles.

The AI of enemies is terrible, and the combat isn't challenging. The Witcher 2, which came out in 2011, has better facial animations and character looks and costs only 2 euros.

I won't even get into the list of bugs and glitches, texture loading issues, etc.

This guy broke down the gameplay loop FLAWLESSLY:

enter your ship - > loading screen -> sit at console and "take off" -> loading screen -> choose new planet -> loading screen -> select landing site on planet -> loading screen -> exit ship -> loading screen -> "explore" procedurally generated planet (kill a few bugs and scan some plants/rocks) -> fast travel back to ship -> loading screen -> go back to step one

Morrowind, Skyrim, Oblivion.. hell even New Vegas and 76 had WAY more explorative feeling to them. I'm just bummed, I really was hoping this was going to be the next Oblivion or Skyrim for me. I give it a 3. 1 for all the voices and characters in the game. 1 for not being a overly buggy mess. 1 for the times you DO get to fly.

    - Terrible optimization
    - Disgusting characters - looking at their crooked facial expressions from the Daggerfall era is simply unbearable
-Have you seen scary faces on minor NPCs?
    - Cheap and empty procedurally generated locations with several factories and caves

    - Teleports between planets in a space game? Are you seriously?
    - Poor ultra arcade shooting with zero impact and cheap animations. In a game on the Morrowind engine, it is impossible to EVEN look behind cover. Just think about this nonsense
    - AI of the PS2 era. They don't hit, do almost no damage, and absorb trillions of damage. The combat of this game is completely depressing.
    - Lack of immersion - there is nothing fun about spending 3 clips on one soldier, while seeing the effects of blood flying out when hit. The developers just don't care. Police completely ignore shootings in the city
    - Dull lockpicking. After a while, hacking them becomes about as boring as shooting with stupid NPCs
    - Absence of any stage direction, action, cut scenes.

If someone wants to play a game about cool space exploration, play No Man's Sky. It will be
    better spent money .
To sum up, the game looks like a preliminary foundation, not a finished game. Well, modders will fix it and fill it in, but then the game shouldn't cost $70

The reality is different from what the reviewers said. This game is terribly boring and repetitive.
Open world? NO endless loading screens and fast travel.
    Space exploring? Just fast travels....
Planet exploring? Running simulator with limited time to run and invisible walls... no planet vehicles, no planet flying
7 different buildings on every planet, with same loot, same loot position, same enemy position, same pattern, no randomness at all
Cities are dull, too big with nothing and you will running... and running and waiting for oxygen... and running....

Space combat ? Like Everspace from Wish, terrible controls on PC
Shipbuilding ? It is nice and fun at first, but PC controls are terrible, and it does not matter. You can fly anything and kill anything what is on your level.
Outpost building ? Boring, stupid, terrible controls and you do not need outpost at all, just waste of time. It does not give you anything.

Inventory and weight management is terrible. You spend half of your gameplay in your inventory, or ship inventory or outpost inventory.

Skyrim with mods has better graphics and better performance. This graphic is soo outdated... it looks like reskinned Fallout 4 (yes i know it is reskinned fallout)

I have 60hours in this game and Every hour of gameplay has the same pattern:
    5min combat
20 min in map, fast travel and loading screens and waiting for oxygen
30 minutes in inventory and selling stuff,
    5 minutes in dialogs

Would not buy again. Was hyped by paid reviewers.
I played so long to milk my spend Euros to max, but after 60 hours i have tried everything, do multiple repetitive missions, all important skill, C class ship with so much cargo space it barely fly ( i can still wipe anything in combat) and outpost with so many LINKS that in builder View it looks like red sea!

There are no city maps as well so you just have to memorize every single city and if you want to find something specific, you just have to go into every part of the map until you find it or try to look it up online and use clues from the picture to find the location. There are no markers to help you remember where things are very few fast travel points within cities. Even those aren't useful because it's not really clear where they are in the context of the map unless you memorize it. So basically if you don't have a mission marker, it's almost not worth the trouble. For me, I was willing to deal with the loading screens but this made it just not fun. In a game like Skyrim, you never had to fast travel anywhere and you would encounter plenty of enemies and discover lots of and side quest along the way. Often, I didn't mind this as you were leveling up and gathering a lot of loot. The gameplay loop was quite fun.

However, in Starfield you are always going directly from point A to point B so there isn't really much time to stumble into discoveries accidentally. Quest often will take you to 2 to 3 different planets which means 15 to 20 different menu screens to fast travel. You will also have to sometimes make multiple jumps to get to your location and then get stuck in some boring space battle.

I often found myself spending more time in transit, inventory management, and not being sure where to go then I did actually playing in the game. I suggest waiting another year or two until they fix it.

To sum it up, I gave up on the game after 10 to 15 hours, and basically regretted even spending that much time downloading the game. Before going deeper, I have a very good pc, with game installed on M2 SSD.

To start with the good stuff,
-There are so many planets you can explore, within the limits of course, and some of them look very interesting. It really gives you the vibes of being somewhere completely else to earth.
-There is a lot of stuff you can steal, interact with and so on, if feels like the whole "planet" is your playground.
-The character creation is a huge playground as well, so many options, perks, traits and so on. It really allows you to create a perfect character for toy.
-The story begins with a really cool premise, that makes u really interested, in whats to come. To be fair, it might be because of me liking sci-fi and space stuff.
-The spaceships make a "big" part of the game, so its really cool seeing an option to create your own one with the builder. Yes there are some limitations to it, but most of those make sense, like having a need for powerful enough reactor, or enough thrusters. On the other hand, the game limits you to only 3 different types of weapons.
-With weapons comes space combat, which iI really like. The use of different weapons against shields and ship hulls, as well as balancing generator power distribution.
-For a Bethesda game, it released in quite a polished state, with me encountering no bugs, and after some fixes, the game runs quite well and loadings are quick.

    Now for the bad stuff,
-I will start with the mentioned performance, where for some reason, Bethesda devs didnt implement dlss to a game with very high requirements. Yes you can get a mod that fixes this, but that shouldnt be needed. In no way you should be required to install a 3rd party mod, to make a 3A game playable.
-The loadings, yet short, are extremely annoying and for me break a lot of immersion in the game. There are 2 problems with the loadings.
--First one being, that most of the time loading is just a boring black screen, that just pushes you out of the enjoyment. It wouldnt be that big of a problem if the game didnt have
--So many loading screens. Yes they are short, but every time u do something, there is few of them, which bunches up. I dont remember last time, when i had to go through a loading screen to get into a house. Mainly with games like EldenRing basically being playable through whole map with almost none. The funniest thing is, that at some point you need to go through 4 loading screens just to get into some spacestation, first is loading while traveling near it, then loading for docking, loading for exiting your ship (if u dont exit directly out of ship, but instead just out of pilot seat, thats extra loading), and finally u load into the other ship from some kind of connecting place) this should be doable with just the travel loading, and docking, where new map for connected ships loads.
-The on foot combat just feels like 2 bullet sponges beating each other with a spoon. Basically, you dont take damage, but nor do you enemies. I ended up just running into their faces with starting "weapon" and killing them that way.
-All the NPCs apear emotionless, if feels like there is nothing behind them, yes they can have some interesting dialog, stuff to say, but when its coming from a plank of food, it all feels not important, boring. I also have seen some weird NPC faces and expresions in clips and photos, but i didnt encounter anything like that.
-To talk a bit about the story i mentioned, that grabs you right at the start, there is a problem it lets you go instantly. Everyone says, that it really gets good in a time, the problem is, that by that time you just get bored, and even the promise of interesting story becomes just a distant dream. I wanted to force myself into getting to the point where it gets good, only to give up.

-My final problem comes from the main idea of the game. This game should be a SPACE EXPLORATION game.
--The problem is, that SPACE feels just like a fast travel medium, that just slows down you loading into the main content which are the planets. For something that had the space advertised so much, it ends up being almost pointless, where most of the time u will just fast travel from planet to planet, without even seeing the space. Also the space feels very uninteractive, where the vast and endless space is just a place, where u can travel a bit, dogfight, and fast travel somewhere else. There is no YOU traveling, where u want to go, just fast travels.
--Same goes for EXPLORATION part, where you can only explore the premade parts of the planet, which most of them have same placements of everything. You are basically put into sandbox, thats a 1x1km cube you cant leave. Most of the planets have it this way. There is no freedom, there is no open space, there are just small sandboxes to teleport to.

Podrían haber aprendido aquí de No Man's Sky.

Swirled together in a toilet to water down every element that made those games special. They did add some game-breaking new {{features}} err, bugs along with pages on pages of unfilterable menus to wade through compressed in a UI that looks like an Alpha build mock up. Anything another game can do in 2 clicks, this one will make you page through to do nearly everything - travel, manage inventory, assign crew, etc. This is not a game that can be redeemed with mods - there are fundamental flaws in game design, balance, performance and QA testing that make this a burden to play.

They also managed to make a far worse ending than Mass Effect 3, taking away all player choice and agency. A boring, anti-climatic denouement that feels meaningless and devoid of meaning or substance.

Starfield is the embodiment of 'tried to do too much and ended up doing nothing right.'

It's like they handed Skyrim space gear and said, 'Fly, my Dragonborn!' but forgot to give it wings or a functional jetpack.

    Open World:
Starfield is a stale, soulless “world,” that feels disconnected.

Everything is locked behind a loading screen and the game doesn't have an "open world" to navigate and experience. You jump from objective to objective via the UI like some sort of CoD Campaign. You are not in control of flying your ship between systems, landing your ship, departing from settlements, attempting risky docking to board other ships. Everything is a fast travel cut-scene initiated via a key-bind or through the confusing UI.

You read that right. There is no traveling, landing, or exploring to do on your own. When you are “in orbit” around a “planet” you can’t go anywhere; no matter how long you fly for you are no closer to the planet you see ahead of you than before. That’s because being “in orbit” around a “planet” only serves as a “placeholder;” an enclosed waiting zone to open the UI and choose where to fast travel next. There is no open space to navigate. Everything is done via cutscenes which only make you hungry for more. Why can’t I fly my ship wherever I want to in a System? Why can’t I manually find a spot on a planet and land there myself? One click on the map and you suddenly teleport to Neon city. Where is the awe of discovering it by yourself through exploration?

This makes Starfield feel more like a collection of maps/dungeons with no clear link between each other, rather than a connected and breathing world. It's like playing Skyrim, but you are only allowed to teleport between dungeons through the map interface - without the open world in-between.

    Cities:
Like space, cities feel disconnected and non-immersive. New Atlantis, for instance, is not even a unified city. Instead, cities are split into various parts requiring you to fast travel between each district. Other than soulless “citizen” NPCs walking aimlessly around with no schedule, nothing of interest is going on to justify having so many loading screens.

In addition, almost every single building or shop has a loading screen to access, which is very weird since 90% of buildings with interiors are basically just an empty lobby with one shopkeeper. This makes simple fetching quests a nightmare. You have to go through 5 different loading screens just to deliver a package from one part of the city to another.

    Spaceship:
It feels like they wasted all these resources for the Spaceship builder, yet neglected adding gameplay that will make your spaceship meaningful. Space traveling, planet exploration, landing/docking mechanics, and fuel planning - just to name a few. As it stands right now, your spaceship is just a storage locker between your UI fast travels. It is so tedious to fast travel that you may end up not seeing your spaceship for hours during a playthrough, since you instantly teleport to the selected locations and spawn outside your ship. To see your ship and add “immersion,” you would need to add 3 more loading screens to your fast travels. Pointless, since you have no control over anything. You only get to watch the game do everything for you via cutscenes.

    Combat:
It’s… working. Like in any basic first-person shooter game. There are no “classes” or anything else that will make you think “Damn, on my next playthrough I am gonna play as X and Y.” You can tell by the Skill Points you get to allocate that all Traits offer small bonuses to combat (e.g., deal 10% more damage with Pistols) that add no distinctive gameplay or new combat mechanics. They are just… flat bonuses to damage, health, persuasion, ship damage. Class-wise, the only option you have would be to either play a ranged build or a (hardly viable) melee build. That’s it.

    Outpost Building:
Barebones and clunky. We will most probably see paid DLCs adding props and things to expand building, like they did with Fallout 4 (they released 3 paid workshop DLCs).

    Land Vehicles:
Yep, they did it too. The only way of traversing is by foot – no land vehicles/rovers exist in the future. Fast Traveled to a planet in a super-ship? Now you need to jog like clown for 1200m in a barren and empty wasteland just to reach an enemy encampment. Be careful not to go too far or you’ll hit an invisible wall.

    Story:
As soon as you launch the game, you are given a ship, a place to stay, and suddenly a full organization blindly trusts you – which is very off-putting. This feels like a big “roleplaying” part of the game is cutout.

    Graphics:
Starfield feels like a texture-enhancement Fallout 4 mod. There is little improvement between Starfield and Fallout 4.

-The game looks okay, but runs really bad on my system and please don't tell me I need a better PC. I certainly don't. Also missing a lot of obvious features like an fov slider or DLSS. What the hell? I'm using an AMD GPU so I'm not even affected. That doesn't mean it isn't bad tho.
-The story and gameplay loop (like I've said I've been playing for 12 hours so far) is just not good and pretty boring. Now I've heard people are saying things like "it gets better after 25 hours" and I do believe these people, but I don't think thats a good argument for a better score.
We are not talking about "a few hours" here.
-I just don't like Bethesda's writing, but normally I do like the gameplay and open world. The thing I completely hate about their newer games is that their approach regarding the writing feels like that the script / dialogues has to be 80% ""funny"" and only 20% serious. And even for a game like Fallout thats just bad.

I may change the score when they at least fix the bugs and bad performance.

One thing I do really love is how you can create or modify ships, that is a lot of fun and really well implemented.

It's not like this game has a story or characters that compensate. Calling the writing mediocre would be more than a little charitable. You're surely gonna be rolling your eyes more than just a few times at some of the characters and dialogue.

There is of course an argument to be made that modders could improve things. But there's only so much those poor modders will be able to fix, especially when the game is already so resource intensive. Quite frankly, I think even they would be better served modding games with better foundations.

It's leaned too heavily into things Bethesda ISN'T known for (base building/resource gathering) and forgotten the roots that Bethesda IS loved for. Exploration and a sense of an expansive world to get side tracked in while on another mission. The gunplay and weapon variety is a nice step forward, but even then nothing that other games don't do much better.

The optimisation is awful for a game that looks mid tier, or a few years dated graphically.

Despite the anticipation and promises from Bethesda, Starfield turned out to be a bitter disappointment. The game, unfortunately, falls victim to various major issues that could have been mitigated had proper time been devoted to development and testing.

Firstly, the game is riddled with bugs and glitches that seriously affect the gameplay experience. While it's common for new large-scale games to have some minor issues, the sheer number present is staggering. Not only do characters and objects sporadically clip, but weapons and tools occasionally fail to work, leading to frustrating experiences.

The vast, open-world design of Starfield seemed promising, but now it feels empty and lifeless. The explorative nature of the game is hampered by repetitive content and a limited number of meaningful interactions. Many planets appear to be mere copy-pastes of each other, with similar textures and layouts creating a monotonous experience.

Moreover, the storyline is convoluted and underwhelming, leaving players frustrated as they struggle to follow the plot. The narrative is poorly paced and filled with underdeveloped characters that make it hard to feel invested in the story. The dialogues, a key part of any RPG, seem lacking and generic compared to previous Bethesda titles.

The quests are bland and boring with writing similar to a high school level.

The NPC's stare straight at you with the most awkward facial expressions I've ever seen, the same way they did way back in Bethesda's Xbox 360 days. After the incredible motion-capture facial animations we got with BG3, this is just laughable.

There are loading screens for everything. Traveling between worlds, entering your ship, entering buildings... all loading screens. Even if you painstakingly travel to a planet in space manually, you pass through it like the PNG that it is.

The PC version crashes constantly. On good hardware (7800X3D and 4090) it runs around 60-80 FPS at 1440p. Very poorly optimized.

I embarked on my journey in "Starfield," eagerly anticipating a revolutionary sandbox RPG, a worthy successor to the likes of Skyrim. Yet, standing in the shadow of contemporaries like Baldur's Gate 3, the experience has felt considerably linear and lacking depth.

My 15 hours of gameplay has been a mixed bag. Though I deliberately veered off the main quest to immerse myself in the game's world, the excitement waned rather quickly. A considerable number of quests felt more like chores, burdened by repetitive NPC interactions and monotonous mine clearances populated by the same enemy types.

The character customization, touted to offer profound choices, left a lot to be desired. I was particularly disheartened with the "Dream House" option - a promising feature that culminated in a bland and uninspiring dwelling with repetitive layouts and a glaring lack of attention to detail, quite contrary to the cozy, unique havens I cherished in Skyrim.

However, a game can redeem itself through compelling world-building, a feature I had set my hopes on, especially with the much-hyped City Neon. Unfortunately, it fell short, offering a rather superficial experience that failed to match the visual grandeur claimed by many. Despite running the game on a high-end setup, the visuals were not up to par. Moreover, the cities felt empty, devoid of the vibrant nightlife and bustling corners that usually bring a virtual metropolis to life. A lack of diverse amenities in New Atlantis, such as clubs or engaging recreational spots, added to the feeling of a shallow, underdeveloped world.

I am willing to give "Starfield" another chance, in hopes that exploring new aspects like building outposts can reignite the initial excitement. As it stands, however, the game has not lived up to my expectations, which, considering the advancements in RPGs over the years, I believe were justified.

Excited to play with their "least bugged BGS game" i went in expecting to not find many. I sadly enough found a lot, it took me an entire 10 minutes to encounter my first bug whilst switching weapons. A whooping 5 minutes later i found the second one when opening mannequin and my entire screen turned black. This was an amazing beginning towards the least bugged BGS game. Which only became worse as I progressed with the story. I'm glad that they kept in the essentials, your followers just seem to lose you 24/7 like they did in Skyrim, which gladdens my heart, anyway. Upon reaching New Atlantis I suffered the worst drops in FPS, with a 4080 and 13900K you wouldn't expect it, but on 1440k ultra I maxxed out on around 50 FPS and I caved, i started to install the DLSS mod and the better optimization mod this improved my FPS by around 30. After about 3 hours I got extremely tired by using the menu, the bloated feeling and the game taking longer than i've hoped to get out of the menu was unexpected from a game in 2023, so added more mods. The StarUI mod made the inventory way better. You'd think after 4 games BGS would appear to have some knowledge of the type of menu/inventory players want, just check the mod page, FallUI and SkyUI are among the highest ranked. Yet they appear to have failed to implement a decent inventory for 4 games straight. Anyway it was time for more bugs, so after trying to complete the Heart of Mars quest, the quest was broken. The stone spawns under a rock and you can't mine it. So aside from the glaring technical issues, that they had +7 years to fix, the bugs weren't "the least" in any way. I haven't played Skyrim nor Fallout 4/Fallout 3 on release, so if they say these are the least amount of bugs. I'm quite appalled how bad it those were. I kinda gave up on this game, i'm sure the game will be fixed by the modders, like every BGS game does and still theyre asking top price for it. But at this point the game is quite unplayable for me and is breaking my immersion with every planet i reach. Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk.

After seeing a lot of people giving this game a 10/10 despite the amount of bugs and technical issue only the shove it on the "review bombing" from angry playstation fans. I lowered my score from a mediocre 4/10 to a 2/10. Just to shove it to those BGS stans.

Made by company which should of stopped existing if not after F4, then after F76 for sure, since being a company once producing actually good games, by F76 timeline they turned into lazy, sloppy, simply unprofessional something that truly despise their fans.
Fault is on players who being spit into face by Todd, wipe and praise spit taste and keep giving Bethesda their money.
So, comparing Starfield to F4 or F76 - and anyone who played those, you WILL have flashbacks and feeling of deja vu - with outdated animation, brain-dead dialogs, textures basically coping F4, just with removed Fallout spirit, and many more - at least in Fallout series was Fallout lore and Universe, maimed by Beth, but thank you God created by better people; in Starfield you got none. Only BORING, UNIMAGINATIVE, GENERIC story and playthru. Oh, and if you thought in Elder Scrolls was bad UI - wait for this one. Sure, if modders will get hold of it, certain things will get improved by them in time, but no thanks to Bethesda, as usual. So do gaming world a favour - stop giving them money they didn`t deserve, then, and only then, Bethesda might stop selling you refurbished old crap for $130.
Ps: they must pay well to bots and bots masters to leave here those 10/10 "reviews" - that part is laughable really. if you are actually a living person with own brain - have a read those and have a chuckle - same copy-and-paste generic sentences, half of which doesn`t even make sense, guess AI still no match for the humans:))

Constant crashes started in New Atlantis and prevented any progress and force me to refund. The game also seemed poorly optimized as I had to put graphical settings on low to achieve decent fps, on a decent PC that runs most of the recent games on high setting. The image on low settings was very blurry and made it hard to properly see enemies at a certain distance. This were the worst graphics I have experienced on a game to achieve 60fps so far on my current build.

The positives for the 2 hours of gameplay I could get before having to refund are that the game is DRM free, and can be modded easily.

    Space game without space.
A game about research without research, just huge empty spaces
Graphics of 2013, what are the system requirements for? In Fallout 4, they were able to fully voice the protagonist with cutscenes, but in this game in 2023, he again speaks in text like in Skyrim 2011. I just dreamed of playing a silent character in 2023 Microsoft should be wondering where the

The game is okay, but not much more. It doesn't live up to the hype. Generic Bethesda quests, the most fragmented space I've ever seen. It looks good, but it comes at the cost of countless loading times. You can't even go up a ladder without a loading screen. There aren't too many bugs, but they occur regularly.

There's a lot of flaws in space in Starfield. But that does not prevent me from exploring our galaxy again and again.

I fell in love with Starfield. It's my cup of sci-fi and I can't wait to spend the next thirty, fifty, maybe seventy hours here. I enjoy the exploration, the shootouts, the art style, the ship building, and the diverse worlds. I gratefully acknowledge the good optimization and the absence of major bugs. But I can't overlook the flaws. There are bad animations, ugly faces and repetitive moments.[Issue#329]

In a year dominated by sequels to franchise favorites, there was a hope that Starfield would carve its own path to success. While the team at Bethesda should be commended for taking such a big swing, there’s no denying that the game doesn’t feel like a cohesive work. Maybe continued support and future sequels will make something more meaningful out of a work that is clearly deeply enamored with both science fiction and space exploration. Unforunately, this first launch has had far more mixed results than desired.
