Sep 5, 2016Planetscape wallpaper generator. Plenty of ambiance with a 70s sci-fi art style. Buy it if you would like to wander the universe looking at different but similar planets while grinding elements ad infinitum with the occasional ship fight.

Aug 15, 2018This game is a much better game than what it was in 2016. There are many more things to do now and it feels way more dynamic and has way more depth. The game still has a ways to go, but it is getting there.

Nov 29, 2019Had a pretty rocky launch but it improved steadly (and for free) and it's now a pretty decent game.
A brief caracterization would be: It's like a Galaxy wide version of Minecraft.
Random facts:
- Beautiful scenaries
- Boring creatures and NPCs
- Endless exploration
- Grindy
- Spaceships
- Repetitive
- Addictive -

Aug 14, 2016No game is Perfect but as a procedurally, generated and stylised exploration games it does pretty well. is it worth 60 Bucks? maybe not but if you really want then go for it.

Nov 11, 2016While I understand why people are angry at the developers for the promises that were not met, I think that rating this game by the things that it doesn't have but it was supposed to have is unfair, and judging by features it has I give it a strong 6.

Mar 18, 2017No man's sky have evolved a lot since the it was release the games is not as dead as it used, No man's sky some times can be extremely boring do to the fact you need to travel a lot to another solar systems to find rare items, the game isn't as repetitive as it was, the base system is pretty good, the game is playable.

Apr 29, 2017This game is not bad, also it is not fantastic. I have an enjoyable time bopping around the universe in my ship, then gathering resources and building new things. If excitement and fantastic action is what you are looking for, try another game. If you like a decently solid exploration game, give this a try.

Nov 11, 2017We got the boring gameplay (just explore the planets and extract resources), boring story (but I think, there is no story at all), optimization is bad. At least, the game's idea is nice, but done is too bad. Now updates trying to save this game...Well, there is only hope.

Aug 3, 2022Perhaps it is the best redemption story in gaming, but its not like we have a completely different game now, NMS still feels boring and limited and I would rather play a game with a few planets that are custom made than explore quintillion of them here.

Aug 16, 2016This game is not at all worth 60$. It's a broken, unfinished, messy game that looks far deeper than it is. If you want to explore a vast, procedural universe you may as well just go buy starbound for a fraction of the price. You can even play that game with friends.
-
Aug 15, 2016The review is simple: It's a incredibly open explorer. So many places to go, and only a handful of things to do when you get there. Beautifully boring.
Game has much potential, but we'll have to see if they can deal with the early problems to take us someplace great. -

Aug 13, 2016You know those old-western saloons with the huge facade, but behind them is but a tiny building? Meant to look really huge and impressive, but in reality is small and bland? That is No Man's Sky.

Nov 16, 2017It's an ok game if you haven't been listening to the hype. It's a nice and simple space sandbox that can help you kill a few hours when you don't want to invest much brainpower in to your game.
It's no Minecraft and depending on your preferences, you may find it relaxing and maybe even fun. -

Aug 17, 2016There's nothing in a desert and No Man needs nothing - this quote from Lawrence of Arabia in my opinion precisely explains current condition of the game. Vast, yet blank

Aug 21, 2016FIRST IMPRESSIONS: If you understand what you are getting, which is explore, discover, upgrade, occasional very basic fights, in interesting landscapes, then this game ticks the boxes.
I find it a nice game to chill out in, but not for getting my heart racing, driving me crazy trying to achieve something, or bringing a lump to my throat.
But the £40 price tag is a far, far too high. -

Aug 24, 2016I feel like this game should at least be called star wars, or at least feel like a star wars game where you are like han solo, going around collecting alot of stuff with your ship and companion.
I don't even know if I have a point made at all. -

Aug 24, 2016A promising game in the trailers, and enjoyable for the first 20 or 30 hours, but which ultimately does not deliver and becomes dull and pointless after a while. It should have stayed in development for at least another year.

Mar 29, 2020This game was hyped up too much, it's nothing like it promised to be.
But! it has alot! to do, Explore planets, Collect things.. Nevermind.
But you've got a galaxy to explore, the updates are making things better.
Final Verdict : 5.2
Not recommended by me. -
Nov 13, 2020It has a lot to improve. It started out as a disappointment, but, Hello Games is trying to correct its mistakes and improve the game. And we gamers want a quality exploration of universe game, that's a fact.

Feb 14, 2023I heard this game improved a lot since launch so I was excited to check it out. Sadly, it's a fun game plagued by crashes and stutters. Maybe by 2026 it'll finally be finished and playable? I'm just glad I played it on game pass and didn't actually pay money for it.

Aug 16, 2016Repetitive tasks, clumsy inventory management, pointless "survival" elements and, to add injury to insult, awful optimization of this PC port. Ask for 60 usd it's too much. An incomplete game that now the developer says will be completed through payed DLC.

Aug 20, 2016Boring and repetitive gameplay, no gravity difference between a moon and a planet.
Horrific interface and menus.
4/10 instead of 0 cause i like the idea, but this is more like a tech demo than a real game. -
Aug 21, 2016No multiplayer, quite repetitive, and not really worth "exploring" since most planets follow the same basic concepts. There's no really a sense of awe when you reach a planet after the first couple of days playing, since you will instantly think "oh, it's this pattern again". I give it a 4 because it's actualy fun for a weekend, I might have given it a 5-6 if it was worth 20 bucks instead of 60...

Oct 17, 2016It's bad, unfortunately it is.
Not a 0% game like many say, but it's just... boring.
Walk to get this, walk back to to get that, walk walk walk.
I'm not going into the false promises issue, but the game itself is just an endless chore of boring tasks. -

Pelit (Finland)Oct 11, 2016No Man's Sky breaks the record in falling short of the hype – which is an incredible achievement in the category of super ambitious space games. The huge universe is a repetitive, lifeless and meaningless place, no amount of random generated creatures can change that. The most unforgivable fail is making the spaceship such a pain to fly, which makes exploring the vast universe simply a chore. However, at its best the game is epic and many of the issues should be easy to fix, so this might not be the end of the journey after all. [Sept 2016]
-
PC PowerPlayOct 2, 2016It's partially broken, shallow, repetitive and aimless, but hang me, I still kind of love it. [Issue#255, p.56]
-
Edge MagazineSep 27, 2016While some poorly designed systems and mechanics chip away at your patience, the feeling of flying seamlessly from space down to a peninsula you spotted from orbit never fails to enthrall. [Nov 2016, p.106]
