Jun 27, 2016It should have been a worthy successor, instead it's just a clone without distinct highlights.
-
Jun 30, 2016Mighty No. 9 is not a tragedy of a game. It plays mainly as a nostalgia act of an old era, ignoring ostentatiously the more advanced gameplay mechanisms of the modern action/platform games. If you know what to expect, you will not have a bad time. Otherwise, it would be better to stay away.
-
Oct 14, 2016Mighty No. 9 has its moments, but they're all hidden behind piles of illogical traps, and even the lowest difficulty setting here is hardcore.
-
Aug 8, 2016Mighty No. 9 has semblances of good ideas thrown into levels that are muddled with instant kill spikes and overly difficult platforming sequences, which when combined are just bad level design.
-
Jun 21, 2016Uneven in tone and execution, Mighty No 9 is equal parts fun and frustration. Inafune won’t reignite the fire of his famed franchise with this initial effort. We can only hope that subsequent attempts to reboot the blue bomber turn out better.
-
Jun 20, 2016Despite the fact that this dish spent a bit too much time in the oven to begin with, it still managed to hit the market as a half backed product.
-
Jun 24, 2016Mighty No. 9’s dash mechanic is a lot of fun, but bad art, imprecise hitboxes, and awful level design make the experience extremely frustrating.
-
Aug 11, 2016Average platformer in all aspects. Only rock fans of Mega Maga will have a mercy with it perhaps.
-
Aug 3, 2016It isn’t bad, it’s just painfully average.
-
Jul 2, 2016With the lack of tight controls, an honest challenge and the addition of a generic plot and characters we’re left with a totally average action platforming game that promised the world.
-
Jun 23, 2016Maybe Mighty No. 9 2 will be the Mega Man rebirth we so desperately desire, but at this point, Inafune’s attempted return to glory is a bona fide swing and a miss.
-
Jun 20, 2016Mighty no.9 isn't the side-scrolling action game that we expected from Mega Man's creator. The new Inafune game has uninspiring level design, poor enemies and some technical problems.

Jun 27, 2016Mighty No. 9 is the best Mega Man game I’ve played in years, but all of the problems it has come from that too. Whether the gaming scene of 2016 needs a modern Mega Man is a more ambiguous question, perhaps answered by the old adage: be careful what you wish for. Or in this case, what you back.
