Game World Navigator MagazineAug 23, 2016Hopefully, Inafune put kickstarter millions to good use, like buying a nice juicy steak for his dog or a fancy gold toilet for his new mansion. It’s hard to believe that even a quarter of backers money was actually spent on Mighty No. 9, since it looks like a bad game from 90-s, and plays even worse. It’s especially shameful since nowadays an indie team can make a good platformer in just a few months and only for a fraction of this sum. [Issue#211, p.63]

Jul 7, 2016Being interesting doesn’t change the fact that Mighty No. 9 is still a dismal failure.
-
Jul 7, 2016Keiji Inafune seems to be a bit lost with this game. Maybe it was the budget management? Nevertheless, Mighty No. 9 is a disappointment. It's a very mediocre platformer that more often irritates than entertains.

Jun 21, 2016Mighty No. 9 is a forgettable attempt at cashing in on people's nostalgia and love of Mega Man.
-
Jun 20, 2016Much like an anime fan on prom night, I would rather be at home playing Mega Man than here. I would rather be playing Shovel Knight. I would rather be playing most games in this genre...Mighty No. 9? More like Shitey No. 9!

Jun 27, 2016Mighty No. 9 is the best Mega Man game I’ve played in years, but all of the problems it has come from that too. Whether the gaming scene of 2016 needs a modern Mega Man is a more ambiguous question, perhaps answered by the old adage: be careful what you wish for. Or in this case, what you back.
