    lol, I can't believe they released this game with so many bugs. These people were banking on the franchise to just make money and I was a sucker to buy it. So frustrating to get stuck because of object interactions not working properly. Even if you progress in the story, it feels so empty with these poorly done cut scenes and even dying due to enemies still shooting while talking to NPCs.

    Don't know what is worst, the graphics, the game mechanics or the absolutely appaling writing.

    One can only hope that the entire team behind this disaster of a game gets the boot.

    Duke nukem forever was better.

    Inept studio wearing the Bioware name using Bioware's IP. There are better looking Indy games. I don't care why or how it happened, the game is a shocking travesty of incomplete assets, terrible writing and IP raping for profit. Not worth $5 in it's current state. Even if it wasn't inherently broken it would still be a bad game, far from the standard set by previous titles in theInept studio wearing the Bioware name using Bioware's IP. Any game that is more focused on pushing a social/political agenda than entertaining it's players is going to be terrible. ME:A does exactly that. The romance options are destroyed by being romanceable by anyone rather than having particular same sex romance options that are properly written and real seeming. The overall character arc is weak, juvenile and uninteresting as are the storylines.

    Do not waste your money on this one, wait for it to be an "on the house" title from origin and save yourself the refund request headaches. Hopefully by then the game will have been patched to completion.    … Expand

    I wanted this to be good but I can't say that this is the game I waited so much.. Poorly optimized. Massive amount bugs and crashes. Exploring becomes very boring after 15 minutes. And THOSE ANIMATIONS. multiplayer is clunky.

    After playing the game for around 11 hours I feel that I am ready to submit a review, I never liked the ME series too much but there were some elements that kept me playing, mostly the characters and the dedicated team behind the games, there was a stain on the last three games by the end of it as ME3 ended in an horrible way,

    I was hoping that the team would come back and fix this with an awesome game with strong character development and a solid core, however as I was reading into the new team I notice some of the team had never worked on a game before and that something that I can put up with but it crossed the line when I found out who these people are, some of them are pretty extreme racists and extreme sexists, or a variation of the two. the facial animator has never worked on a game before which is fine HOWEVER this woman also made a video online entitled "I hate men" as usual kotaku tries their best to defend these absurd actions, she didnt stop there she was on the news a short while ago in america talking about how you can be sexually attacked and assaulted IN A GAME (GTA 5 for those interested).

    An animator that worked on this game was and still is openly racist towards white people on twitter, this is an all around shocking discovery for me, I wanted to love this game I really did but these social/ racist/ sexist extremists pushed their own views on the game purposely making the females less attractive and the animations made the character interaction the worst I have seen in pretty much forever and i've been gaming for 20~ years, from the characters and the team onto the game itself.

    Now the combat feels a little less like a mass effect game and more like halo 1, lots of low-polly cover and the battlefields are fairly empty and not very interesting the combat is alright but the squads are now useless so if you enjoyed them being useful or if you even remember them being there then forget about it, they've ripped it out of the game. The worlds are barren of any kind of entertainment or appeal, the only saving grace of this game is most of the time it looks really good, it's like the had some really talented artists that just wanted to make the game for the players and the experience but was ultimately let down by a script written by a 5 year old, animations and voice acting that makes Tommy wiseau a master at delivering his lines, empty worlds, impenetrable menus, the most boring quests you'll ever see and SO MANY BUGS.

    If this game stood alone I'd give it a 3.5/10 for the 40m spent on it and the time it took to come out however thats not the case due to the terrible nature of some of the team that worked on this game and the fact this is supposed to carry the torch from ME 1, 2 and 3 but honestly its not even playable in comparison.

    my recommendation; don't waste your time or money on this game and go buy NieR: Automata or ME 1/ 2    … Expand

    2. The story line is predicted, shallow and boring. This is came from Inexperince writer and stupid game director.
    3. Horrible mission design which is tedious, not memorable and repetitive.
    4. Amateur and horrible camera angle and cutscene (almost 90% of all cutscene are garbage)
    5. All main characters , NPCs are all bland and unattractive at ALL, all of them. Dont ask me how i feel about them when im playing them/interact, i dont feel at all :)
    6. This game IS NOT an RPG story driven game, its an exploration and shooting game. The story is there but it has no impact on the game overall.
    7. The open world is an empty open world. No Interesting places, No interesting events, No interesting PLOT and NPC ,
    8. Bad UI design , a real bad .
    9. Bad Optimisation for frame rate per second.
    10. Amateur and horrible animation, Horrifying facial expression, Disastrous lipsync.
    11. SP Campaign have 0 replay value . Yes it is a ZERO REPLAY VALUE.
    12. The game is buggy here and there. LOTS of it.

    B. Multiplayer Mode :

    1. Boring and grindfest Horde Mode. Yes there is only 1 mode here just shoot the horde!
    2. Money grab EA style for treasure and items, which offers Pistols? Sniper rifle for Horde? I NEVER USE THAT THING!

    I would like to like this game, but I cant. This game is real garbage ever exist since No mans sky. Yet this come from amateur , lazy and greedy people at EA-Bioware.

    Thanks to you EA-Bioware for again dissapoint me as Huge Fans of ME2 and Dragon Age Origins. This game is worth$10 MAX, too many **** in this stuff, too many discrepancies not including the bugs.

    My final verdict is 0/10 (Yes its ZERO out of TEN) TOTALLY DISSAPOINT)

I'm a graduate of an animation school where I studied animation, character modeling, rigging, design, story development and I've seen freshmen year animation projects on no budget look better and have a more solidly developed story!

    I do not write reviews at all, but this feels like a waste of money, everything is terrible (comparing of course). I have no words, 40m $ down the drain for the EA, and more importantly, my 60$ down the toilet. I`m thinking about selling my origin account and never buying their games again.

Design team is a bunch of hypocrites, advocating social equality and racial equality yet turn around and post anti white sematic and 9/11 jokes on their social media accounts in the case of lead game designer Manveer Heir. There is no actual assortment of romantic encounters that promote equality, as a female there are only 2 humans you can romance that are male, Hispanic and African American. there are no Indians, Asians, Caucasians, ect. as the male character there are quite a few more options but there is no equality there. the character presets are absolutely horrible and the games character graphics are worse that mass effect 1. The game is horrible as it has a serious lack of emotion and there are a lot of bugs and the story is incredibly underdeveloped. This is 2017 there are so many standards that are in games now that are %100 expected and delivered artistically by every other major game company out there and Bioware should never be allowed an exception. They did not do their job and flat out wasted 5 years and 40 million dollars by selling everyone this joke of a game. Bioware Edmonton will have to take control of this game and fix Montreal's stupid social justice warrior pride statement into an actual game that is respectable. Stay away until the next one is announced or you get bored and they have actually finished rolling out the last DLC. There is zero plot tension to pull you through the game because every plot device is simply present to give you a bunch of uninteresting objectives (picking 'military or scientific' outposts to drop on planets) etc... The game barely adds anything new to the original series but a couple of new alien species... how can this happen? Who made this game?     BW needs to hire competent people to make their games in the future. this is not good. i miss the good old games like Kotor, Jade Empire, Dragon Age: Origins. back then the company had a passion for making great games with a fantastic story. now the company has been infested with sick people who focus more on pushing their twisted political and social agenda rather than making good games.

    An empty lifeless world. Case of quantity of quality. Tons of things to do, nothing of it is interesting.

    Bioware games are great for their story, their world and their characters and how they all connect to each other. This game is all about exploring and doing boring stuff with boring characters in a boring galaxy. It looks pretty. But boring.

    I love the universe and the series so I keep going back and trying to trudge my way through all the game breaking bugs. It my be the most bugged/glitched game I've played in 25 years. I'd give it a year for them to fix it and buy it on sale if at all after knowing what I know now.

    graphics: -cant get a solid 60fps framerate on high settings @ 1080, despite a decent system (i7 6700k @ 4,5, 32gb ddr4 @ 3000, gtx 980 @ 1500), fps drops down to 40 -> immersion breaking -reshade doesnt work without problems(mouse pionter), so you have to play it grayish, colorless and without contrast ->also called vanilla. -what is screen    sry, but this game is a shame.

    -nomad driving is only ok. (no weapons wtf, is the wheels fps capped to 30?, handling pfffff)

    model recycling:
    -asari, kroganes, turians, salarians, weapons (1/3)

    characters:
    -as mentioned, the facial animation are not from 1999, the are just extrem bad/wrong.
    smiling when you talk about a death of s.o. is just an example.
    -> that is an insult to all custumers. an a+++ 40mil dollar 2017 game looks **** in compare
    to its unreal engine predecessor from years ago thx bioware.

    If you are the kind of gamer who plays and enjoys games like Mass Effect 1-3, this game will be an astonishing disappointment. If you believe a good RPG game of this    I find it incomprehensible that anyone but a paid employee of Bioware gave this game more than 4/10. Personally I am giving it 0/10 because as far as a game goes the things it gets wrong are fundamentally indefensible.

    If you are the kind of gamer who plays and enjoys games like Mass Effect 1-3, this game will be an astonishing disappointment. If you believe a good RPG game of this scale should have: good dialogue, good visual design and aesthetics, immersive atmosphere, a high level of polish, interesting plotlines, you will be sorely disappointed in Andromeda.

    As it stands this is the equivalent of a carnival shooting range, lots of things to shoot and lots of different backgrounds to shoot them in, but what is the point without good context? People play games like Andromeda to fantasize about living in the world of the game, to imagine being the protagonist, to feel truly immersed in the elaborate worlds these games build. This is literally impossible to achieve when your cross-eyed character constantly clips, when glitches happen frequently and completely shatter any suspension of disbelief you could build up. This game rapidly becomes a chore, the only person I can imagine enjoying this game is someone who has been in a coma for the last decade and this game was the first thing they played after waking up. Even then they'd become sorely dispirited after discovering that in ten years games had improved so little.

    But above all else Andromeda's greatest sin is it's scale. Considering that this game is so lacking in quality playing it would be a waste of time, the amount of hours one would sink in to beating this game could better be spent playing literally dozens of other far more immersive games. It is ironic that apologists for this game reference it's scale and scope as positives, which is like shouting about what a great deal an all you can eat buffet of diarrhoea.    … Expand

SW battlefront 2 (2006) by free radical design(crytec)was masterpiece - in 2015 by EA its a crap with 6 maps to play(without dlc).Dragon age first was masterpiece - when EA releases inquisiton ive even cant get to the end of the game its so boring.And now they destroy mass effect.Great!When you playing this you feel really sorry for every single сent you spent.Boring quests,the same bosses - 5 or six architects and final boss is the same as all architects.Stupid dialogue system,but now we got gays and lesbians!I came to see some interesting stories,look at pleasant graphics not to listen gay revelations.No offence to such type of people but this in favorite game its awful.I will never buy again EA game because it pumps out money from fans and gives us piece of crap under mark of good games in the past.     The mass effect series died a glorious (although controversial) death with the end of mass effect 3.     I think I now understand how star wars fans felt when the prequels came out cus this game is so ****ing terrible that if Bioware literally released a game where you play as Jar-Jar ****ing Binks and you just run around the citidel running errands, THAT would be a better game, in fact that would be such a good game by comparison I wouldnt even hesitate to give it game of the ****ing century when compared to this turd.

    Here are a list of complaints I personally have with the game:

    - The writing comes across as bad fan fiction AT BEST. All the characters are bland and boring, uninspired, etc. I've played indie games with a fraction of the budget that have better writing. When games like Hyperdimension Neptunia, a meta joke of a franchise literally with 1/1000th of the budget specifically made to make fun of the video game industry have better writing than your AAA multi-million dollar game, you know you ****ed up (and I'm not saying Neptunia is bad (its actually super underrated), I'm saying that its sad that such a tiny game has better writing than a game with some of the best writers in video games)

    - THERE IS SJW PANDERING EVERY 2 ****ING SECONDS!!! I WANTED TO ENJOY THIS GAME, I REALLY DID BUT THERE IS SO MUCH PANDERING I LITERALLY CANT PLAY IT WITHOUT PUKING!!! HOW THE FLYING **** DO U GO FROM GEMS LIKE MASS EFFECT 2 AND ARGUABLY 3 (except the ending), WITH SMART AND UNBIAS POLITICAL COMMENTARY, WHERE YOU DECIDE WHATS RIGHT, TO SOMETHING THAT IS SO BIAS AND PANDERING TO SJWS THAT ITS UNPLAYABLE??

    - THE GLITCHES!!! Keep in mind that i generally dont care if a game is buggy as long as its good. For example, Xcom 2 is broken on PC to this day but it is so fun I can look past the bugs and give it a 10/10. When the story is bad, the writing is bad, the game is boring, AND THEN U ADD ON A TON OF GLITCHES, thats when I care about glitches

    - THERE IS NOT A SINGLE INTERESTING CHARACTER IN THE ENTIRE GAME!!! FOR ****S SAKE KHALISAH AL-JILANI (The reporter that gets punched a lot from the original trilogy) HAD MORE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT THAN ANY CHARACTERS IN THIS ENTIRE ****ING GAME!!!

    - SQUADMATES ARE USELESS

    - SQUADMATES ARE BORING, ALSO PEEBEE HAS THE VERY DEFINITION OF A STEREOTYPICAL SJW VOICE!!! I WANTED TO ROMANCE HER BUT I CANT GET PAST HOW MUCH OF A ****ING PSYCOTIC SJW SHE SOUNDS LIKE... Ok fine Drax is a ok character but thats it. I WISH HE WAS IN THE ORIGINAL TRILOGY THO, A 1500 YEAR OLD KROGAN, HOW LEGEND!!!

    - EXPLORING IS BORING

    - THEY ****ED UP MULTIPLAYER, ME3 multiplayer was good, they ****ed up the balance and now its really really bad.

    - CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THERE ARE LITERALLY ONLY 2 ALIENS IN THE ENTIRE GALAXY??

    - The game doesnt even respect its own lore let alone previously established lore. Pay attention while playing, soooo many inconsistencies. Also why the **** would they not bring omni-gel, this stuff literally heals any life threatening wound in seconds and works on most species yet you chose not to bring this amazing invention?

    - I couldnt care less about the bad guys

    - The menus are worse than vanilla skyrim

    - No paragon/renegade.

    - it does not feel like a mass effect game.

    - I CANT RUN THE GAME WITH MY GRAPHICS CARD OVERCLOCKED SINCE IT THINKS I REMOVED IT IF I RUN OVERCLOCK, IF THAT WERE THE CASE I WOULD GET A BLUE SCREEN.

    - I was hyped for 5 ****ing years for this turd. 5... *****ING... YEARS... This game is the most blatant cash grab I've ever seen

    - I would list more... but my face is tired

    Anyways. I will never, EVER, be buying a bioware game ever again. This is the worst game I've ever played NO QUESTIONS ASKED, and no i'm not exaggerating. Now if you will excuse me I'm going to go play big rigs since that is a FAR superior game    … Expand

    Oh no! It's a poorly written Bioware game! I bought it because I thought the criticism was about the graphics, which have changed little since the original ME...it's not that, it's that the writing & universe are wooden and unthinking...not because the project was too big but because EA has at last killed off/ignored all the creative individuals associated with this project...I'm sureOh no! I was fortunate enough to not pre-order it like I did with Fallout 4 and I played my friend's copy for days at his house and after the first night my friend started to worry about me because I looked emotionless. I could easily go ahead and rage and bash MEA and I truly want to throw a fit and get petty, however keeping things relaxed I wouldHonestly this game is a massive disappointment. If you have never played mass effect before I recommend playing mass effect 2 first as the first one is very clunky and unplayable for some, but honestly any mass effect will do.     I bought Origin Access for a month just to play MEA. $5 why not? At 25 hours into the game (version 1.10) I hit a game breaking bug that broke the whole planet of Elaaden! This game does have good graphics and gun combat. But there are so many negatives. I found myself putting up with it all because I was a fan of ME1, 2, and 3. Horrendous story on so many levels! I expected bugs to be fixed 6 months after the game released but it is not. I came in with a super high tolerance for this game due to how much I loved the ME series but even then I am disappointed.… Expand

Bugs bugs bugs y mas bugs sin parar, asi es, lo que ven Youtube no es broma, el juego esta plagado de bugs y glitches que si bien algunos son inofensivos otros son completamente terminantes forzandote a cargar a un punto anterior al juego, ya sea porque te quedaste atrapado en algun punto o por algun bug con los NPC.
    La animación.....dios! Los estándares que teníamos eran para un juego de 2017 "new gen" y resulta que ME 3 en la Xbox 360 se veia mejor! Sobre todo el modelo de los personajes humanos es completamente HORRIBLE, todos parecen robots sin el mas minimo de emociones, lo unico bueno son los graficos de ambientacion y los aliens, pero todos los humanos estan completamente jodidos.
    Estoy seguro Bioware "rusheo" la salida de este titulo y sus controles de calidad fueron muy bajos o casi nulos, ya que a las 15 horas que lo juegas se nota que no es un juego terminado como lo era un Wicher 3 o un GTA V
    Mi recomendación para todos es que se esperen a que Bioware se ponga a arreglar todos los problemas antes de que se lo compren, porque les dara una o dos canas verdes, aunque tambien se lo pueden comprar para reirse un buen rato por la cantidad de bugs estupidos que tiene jajaja!
    Por ultimo la historia es la mas palida de todas.....mas palida aun que el final de ME 3 que fue tan criticado, Andromeda deja mucho que desear, la historia es muy simple y peca de emocion y si a eso le agregas que todos los humanos parecen androides creppy sin emociones pues peor aun!
    Le quedo grande el nombre a este ME, una pena, prometia mucho pero dejo deseando bastante.

    Ich hab' ebenfalls alle 3 Teile mit sämtlichen Dlc's und spiele sie immer noch. Die Faszination liegt in den Möglichkeiten die man hat, um seinen Charakter aufzubauen. Gut oder böse? Frontkämpfer oder Taktiker? usw., usw. Für mich neben der Dragon Age Serie die beste Trilogie, seit es PC - Games gibt. Was mich jedoch am meisten fasziniert, ist die Verknüpfung aller Teile. Hast im ErstenIch hab' ebenfalls alle 3 Teile mit sämtlichen Dlc's und spiele sie immer noch. Die Faszination liegt in den Möglichkeiten die man hat, um seinen Charakter aufzubauen. Gut oder böse? Frontkämpfer oder Taktiker? usw., usw. Für mich neben der Dragon Age Serie die beste Trilogie, seit es PC - Games gibt. Was mich jedoch am meisten fasziniert, ist die Verknüpfung aller Teile.     SO...let's just say that I hate Reddit and most of the Internet for nearly programming me to hate this amazing game. They had me regretting my digital pre-order and hating BioWare for no good reason, so Andromeda went into the backlog. Now that I am a good 25% into the game, and most of the crap stuff has been patched, I'm just not seeing what's wrong with this game. I feel like any issueSO...let's just say that I hate Reddit and most of the Internet for nearly programming me to hate this amazing game. I feel like any issue people were having with facial animations were for a few characters on the Nexus who, quite frankly, I rarely ever re-visit anymore. And let's be real, Humans were never interesting in ME games anyway so WHO CARES? The other races look magnificent! And this is HANDS DOWN the best gameplay of any ME game, plus we are building a new life in the freaking Andromeda galaxy. I love Andromeda so much, man. And I will never allow the control system sway my opinion ever again...… Expand

Вас что-то спрашивают, хотят узнать ваше мнение, и у вас всего два варианта ответа и оба чаще всего практически одинаковые по смыслу! Но это ещё пол беды. Следующее: совершенно непонятно, что персонаж скажет, когда ты нажмешь на вариант с ответом. Там написано законченное предложение, ты жмешь наБольше всего выбесила система диалогов.     Holly crap, I was going to buy ME Andromeda because i liked the first trilogy. After what I saw what the female character looks like in youtube, I completely lost my appetite to play the game. I rather play 2d games with nice looking character than this rubbish.

While we're on the subject, the animation is terrible and the female characters have been what I can only describe as "reversed airbrushed" in order to be less attractive than the real life models on whom they are based.     Tried this game with free month of origin acces i got and i am pretty happy i didnt spend mony on it.Game is just not fun at all.Confuzing menu,confuzing map,Nothing is clear what you need to do.Animations are very bad and half a time there is just bad animation with no voice.

At the time of release game had miserable facial animation,a large number of graphic glitches, and game breaking bugs.Absolutely fair to say that the 21 march 2017 is day when mass effect died.

    Was playing the game with a "meh" attitude. The game crashed for 4 times in 4 hours. Tried to return it to steam but they didn't accept. If you want to burn your money, just fire em, but don't buy this game.

    There is no way to change language in polish and russian version of the game if you got it on origin.
    Also while doing the main missions there is no way to save the game and you have to count on the autosave feature that honestly really sucks. Animations suck too.     I absolutely adore the original Mass Effect trilogy. The story, the worldbuilding, the characters… chefs kiss. So you can imagine my excitement over Andromeda. I heard the complaints from the pre-release footage. The game looks like garbage. Nay I said, Mass Effect was never about the graphics. Yo this thing is buggy as hell. Nay I said, they will fix it before launch. The voice acting sounds goofy as hell. Nay, you are just being negative. I was a blind Bioware fan boy who pre ordered this game and 100% it at release. I have never touched it since so I do not care if the stuff I am about to talk about was patched three months later. Save your breath.

    Positive beginning. The fact that you have access to all abilities and can spec into any of them allows for some fun combos. Positives done.

    The combat. Everything in this game is either brainded or suicidal. Zero strategy involved throughout the entire run. Just stupid enemy after stupid enemy. The issue with the one positive, the place it affects is boring and garbage. Oh and that is not the best part. Most of the time if enemies are deployed from their ship onto the field, nothing deploys. When the ship leaves, it leaves a cluster of limbs where it was. If you shoot it, then bodies fall out. Great playtesting Bioware.

    What about the story? What about it? Garbage. So you know how Reapers were an unknown force who used their tech to turn the Milky Way species into their tech drones. Yeah we can't do that again nu uh. Guys the Kett are different. They are an unknown force who uses their organic goop to turn the species of the Andromeda galaxy into their organic drones. Wow, how original Bioware.

    But the characters save it right? This game has four character types: aggravating, boring, cringe and meh ok. I have never cared less for a group of party members in my life. I actively wanted to space bothe Liam and Peebee after their loyalty missions. I don't expect much but at least the original cast was filled with professionals. Both Liam and Peebee put the Pathfinders life into stupid amounts of danger with their dumbass decisions. And Liam has the audacity to open his mouth after you fix his mistake. Just allow me to kick them to the curb like Serra in DA: Inquisition.

    I actually fell for the marketing ploy when it came to dialogue. They proudly flaunted their innovative take on the Mass Effect dialogue wheel. How Paragon/Renegade was restrictive. So they came up with the tone indicators of: Professional, Logical, Emotional and Casual. What I like to call them is: Actual human speak, Sheldon Cooper, Angsty Cringe and OhgodohnoohpleaseididnotwanttopressthatstoptalkingstOPSTOP. Pick professional or suffer the consequences.

    How about those Mass Effect choices. Ok so how about a guy running to get away from you? Do you not press the contextual button to shoot him in the back or do you press it only for you to miss and for him to get away anyway? Do you choose to shoot at a bunch of dudes intimidating you or do you hold off until they shoot and start the fight anyway? No choices like Andromeda choices.

    Planet exploration was made stupider by a large margin. This game is extremely self indulgent and determined to show you its mediocre graphics in their full glory. So whenever you chose to travel planet to planet, you pick the planet you want to go to, then it zooms to the planet where you are, only for it to play a cutscene of your ship traveling to your chosen planet, where it zooms in, before zooming back out and giving you your control back. No way to skip that by the way. And there are systems with six planets and more. Have fun.

    On top of all of this, this game released in such a disgustingly buggy state, that some of the most watched videos on this game, are the glitch compilations. How great.

    In conclusion, I am somebody who loves collecting physical copies of games. Andromeda was so beyond garbage, that I got rid of my copy. Not by returning it, but by throwing that thing in the trash. Nobody deserves the psychological torture that is this game. Do not play it, do not touch it, do not look it in the eyes.    … Expand

    Postcard-pretty landscapes is pretty much all that there is good about Andromeda. They serve as backdrops for a boring, cliche-ridden, somewhat demented story with forgettable characters and even more forgettable missions.
