    Bioware is dead, time to admit it. All last members of senior creative staff left early 2016, and this abortion of a game was made by interns and students.

    - zero creativity and reused story concepts: remnants/protheans studied by Liara/PB, badass krogan Wrex/Drack, evil antagonist Saren/Archon, generic evil cannon fodder geth/kett and so on - writing looks like it was done by 15 year    Bioware is dead, time to admit it.     - do I even need to beat a dead horse of horrible facial animations and Sara's atrocious face? Holy **** I honestly feel bad for Jayde Rossi

    EA just decided to cash in on diehard fans of a dead franchise before the end of 2016 fiscal year and call it a day.
    Bioware will be dissolved shortly after they push couple of crappy DLCs for this monstrosity.

    Terrible, terrible game. Animations are so bad, story is seriously bad.

    Pros + Improved combat + Yay for bringing a vehicle back to drive on open planets. Cons - Dialogue wheel - MP with micro-tranactions - MP uses P2P instead of dedicated servers and no server browser list. Just like ME 3 on PC. - Terrible inventory management for a game on PC. - Exclusive to    Terrible, terrible game. Animations are so bad, story is seriously bad.

    Who let this game pass quality control? This game is worse than ME1, game is big and looks ok though the rest of the game is so bad. AI is poor like others said, companions freeze sometimes.

    2017's biggest AAA release, lacking in content and full of bugs. Sometimes jumping on edges makes you or companions freeze, ai has poor navigation sometimes, story has no emotions.

    Abysmally written story, one Bioware dev said it would have meaningful choices like in Witcher 3. Sadly that is not the case full of fetch quests like Dragon Age Inquisition and emotionless characters. Dialog is horrible.

    Shame on Bioware, last game from them I'll ever buy.

    Pretty sad when CDPR set a industry standard for RPGS!

    This isn't even a RPG anymore its a shooter game now, Bioware has chased the CoD market. To also mention that game has lame writing, bad animations & poor AI.

    MP uses P2P instead of dedicated servers.

    This has got to be the most shallowest game I've ever played. It's even shallower than Dragon Age: Inquisition. There is just a lot of lack of content on the worlds you explore, the animations are poor, the story doesn't feel right.

    AI gets in the way. How did AI get this bad?

    I loved the other Mass Effect games in the series but this one has been poorly made .Story line has been done before and the fighting mechanics is slow and difficult . Graphic is average but there are odd times when your legs dont move but you are walking around .The game was should be properly fixed before releasing the game with all these bugs .

Сиськи (подозреваю что это единственное на что вообще были потрачены хоть какие-то деньги и время). Минусы: 1000 и 1 задание про сканирование (и вообще очень много тупейшего гринда). Сюжет расчитанный на младший школьный возраст. Невероятно    Плюсы:

    Here is a quick list :
    - Ugly characters and facial expressions (one of your team members seems to be constantly smiling, even when announcing the death of someone, everybody's eyes seem to be popping out)
    - Everyone seems to be black, there's no way to have a white or asian skin for your character
    - The character creator itself seems outdated and almost have less options than Dragon Age 2
    - Important dialogues permanently cancelled by NPCs you pass by
    - A lot of dialogues seem to have been written by angry teenagers
    - Broken animations (I spoke to NPC's in T-Pose)
    - Rain falls on characters face, not helmet
    - The UI lacks polish and has unexpected behaviors (scrolls not draggable or that reset the scrolling to the top, very simplistic buttons design, almost ugly sometimes)
    - You can unlock a lot of powers in each spec, but can only have 3 active at once (sure you can switch between 4 loadouts but then again that's just shortcuts for shortcuts, let us at least have 6 powers active at the same time, that's a minimum)
    - Overall menu navigation is tedious, especially the quest tracking (very irritating)

    All those things totally broke my experience and as a result I didn't feel in a Mass Effect game, I felt in a broken imitation and I'm upset because I've been waiting for this game for a very long time and I absolutely adore the series.

    I might buy it again one day if there are patches, but for me as of march 26th 2017, that's not a Mass Effect.

    Also : I pre-ordered, I shouldn't have, nobody should EVER (except for limited editions and such), so that EA doesn't start thinking "oh ok they'll throw money at us even if the game is unfinished, ship it guys!"    … Expand

    Poorly optimized PC port. The gameplay is the only redeeming quality of Mass Effect Andromeda, but even that is locked at 30 fps. You'd think this game was developed by an indie studio on a small budget.

    What happened to the titans of the genre? They fled the studio four-five years ago and left it to the vultures is what.

    Pile on the controversies surrounding developers (Manveer and Aliie) and the Studio's Leadership eagerness to lie, and protect one deplorable human being and another incompetent animator and its a wonder how this game reached golden. I needed to restart game 5 times to finish one mission because it was so bugged i cannot continue. Even gameplay isn't strong thing for this game.     A developer with such an attitude towards buyers is not applicable. Joke animations, joke voice acting, joke story. The game should have been labeled as an indie game with the appropriate price tag. Instead of delaying the game to port to another frostbite engine, they had decided to release it with awfully load of bugs on the 21st of March.

    Ever play a cover based shooter like Gears of War? That's not too different from what this is. It's not exactly terrible and could likely be made fun if the enemies weren't all bullet sponges who take an entire clip to the face. The entire game just reeks of laziness and with a five year development time and 40 million dollar budget, there's just no excuse.
    As a quick warning - Be wary of the people who give this game tens, as I can promise you they are only doing so out of their love of the franchise and little else. I can't say I blame them, it must be hard to see a series you love tank this hard, but think with your wallet. This game just isn't worth it.    … Expand

    Back to the game, though. It's rushed, incomplete and buggy. There are a lot of side quests, but their quality is low. The content overall is just poor. Crafting is pointless, combat is over-simplified and limited, and the quality of animation is some of the worst I've seen of games in the past couple of years.

    Basically, stay away from this title. It's probably just a good idea to stay away from EA in general. This isn't a "one off" for them. It's become the norm. And lastly, don't support games that knowingly and intentionally build in their real world hatred and bias into them. Seeing video games politicized is something I never expected to see.    … Expand

    This is not Mass Effect, this is crap! I got stuck in a wall, TWICE, and so does the NPC. The control is horrible, and there is no story.

    Trying to refund my ps4 copy now!

This however, appears to be a gross departure in terms of quality, customization, etc. Even the character creation options have been chopped to a mere fraction of the previous two titles!     I loved ME 1 -3 have hundreds of hours into just one Game alone. This game is so linear its depressing. I give it a one because the combat is somewhat entertaining. That's about it. This is no mass effect game. If you played even one of the other Mass Effects you know its not. Fount this game very boring and repetitive. The developer is just looking for more money here so he can go on my whitey bashing twitter rants instead of putting time into good gameplay programming. I find myself skipping through the dialog. I have never done that in any of the previous games! I find that horrible! It's an RPG, I purchased based upon a story-a story I want to be in control of...only I'm really not. That's more frustrating than Garrus always calibrating. Combat is fun but wonky...I keep dying in the strangest places due to glitches. I get lost constantly, can't figure out where I'm going.. Planet scanning is pretty but so time consuming. I don't like any character or NPC I have come across. None. I can't even stand my own character. The menus are confusing, character creation is horrible. I think the best way to make a character is make it look absolutely ridiculous so you might laugh at something in the game! It's just horrible.     I really was enjoying the game till this happened... I was on Eos and in dialog and then all of a sudden a Kett drop ship comers in with troops. I was then stuck in the dialog and died. I was then able to finish the dialog and when i finished it, I went to a load screen and have been stuck there ever since. I am huge fan of the Mass effect series but this is a total boner killer.     This is not Mass Effect, not even close.

    The story, dialog writing, and voice acting are very weak unlike the prior games. All you have to do is YouTube ME1-3 to a dialog scene and what you see is night and day. In ME1-3 the models look realistic delivering the lines, the writing/story is captivating, and the voice actors convey strong emotion making you the player feel like you're the main character in a blockbuster movie.

    ME A however makes you feel like you are in an bad B- movie. After several hours I found myself skipping dialog it was so painful. I use subtitles so I'd quickly read ahead, get the gist and skip. But WTF skipping dialog in an RPG!!! Dialog, characters, and story are the bedrock of an RPG. We have to conclude ME is now just a shadow of a role playing game now.

    I suspect people rating this game 9-10 are employees of BioWare as there is simply no way to see this game as perfect or anywhere near it, unless you like lots Fed Ex quests and pointless combat and don't care about characters or story. It's got to be an EA program to swarm sites like this to put in bogus raving reviews of something so bad.

    I hate to bring up politics. I've been a liberal democrat my whole life so I'm not sure who they are pandering to, but shoving political issues from TODAY into a game that supposed to take place several hundred years in the FUTURE in another galaxy is NOT art, it's immersion busting anti-art. If there is a good interesting story to weave that includes a gay or trans character that's totally fine but including them as a part of some perverse check-list item is just bad formulaic form. But not only that, they are hypocritical even on these issues where they fall all over themselves to show how PC they are. The male/male relationships/romance scenes are few and truncated, we get embarrassing insensitive fumbling like with the Hanly character, or the stupid setup line "we don't tolerate bigots" with Jaal. Or ever worse, tired stereotypes like the bubbly, flamboyant, handle bar mustache Dorian from DA I (because you know all gay men are like that!).

    I don't even need to touch the much memed animations and horrific character models, there's plenty of that on the internet. And sadly its all true.

    I'm not sure how this game got out the door. Nobody at BioWare must have played it or any of the prior games. It's lackluster, boring, and pales in compare to anything that went before it.

    You can tell that this game was developed by a studio that has very little experience and time.
    What we got is a skeleton, a proof of concept of what could be a foundation to make a proper RPG game in Mass Effect universe.
    As a massive fan of original trilogy I feel very sad to see my favorite franchise being treated like this.

    7. SJW crap starting from the multiple ugly feminazi running everything to the racist anti-white propaganda.
    8. Bugs galore.
    9. Terrible animations (even after the patch).
    10. Mediocre art direction.
    11. Mediocre VO.
    12. Mediocre music.
    13. Total lack of character customization.
    14. Atrocious UI.
    15 MMO type "tasks."
    16. Abuse of the certain "features" like scanning and jumping.
    17. Generic enemies that keep respawing immediately after you kill them, right in front of you.
    18. Idiotic, cumbersome crafting system.
    19. Repetitive combat.

I must have had to shut the game down and reload due too crashes over 50 times now with no exaggeration and I'm still not finished the story. NPC's constantly talk over one and other.     In conversations with multiple NPC's sometimes you can't even see who's speaking the camera angle is so bad (yes I know you can move the camera but still can't find the speaker).

    What went wrong with the designing of people in this game?
    Their bodies and faces are a mess, like we went back 10 years maybe even further.
    I went up to a guy on the Nexus and it was like playstation 2 level of quality! WTF

    The planets all feel the same, only difference is sand becomes snow becomes grass.
    Buildings and Kett sites are just reused over and over.
    Mining with the nomad is painful and annoying.

    The space travel was nice for a minute then became a chore.
    The whole pick a planet then you travel towards it, skip the long boring travel part, zoom in and then zoom out and repeat.

    The MAP! oh ma gawd the map. The map sucks on so many levels where to even begin.
    Whoever designed it needs fired into a black hole.
    It's the worst map design I have ever seen in any game ever with zero exaggeration.
    The icon symbols all look alike, the blue layout is horrible to look at, you go into some caves or buildings and there is no map at all.
    Also press 'M' for map then you have to press 'escape' twice to get out of it, who thought that was a good idea?
    Can't use M again to exit the map and return to where I was, no that would be too easy.
    The compass sucks btw, it's confusing as hell so you click the map more than you would if you had a minimap which ends up with you needing to press 'escape' constantly.

    Companions are boring, besides Drack and Peebee who I liked, the rest bored me to death.

    The inventory sucks, really hate the scroll wheel when trying to see what I've researched or picked up and when trying to compare items is just annoying. I want bring items up with both stats together. Plus when shopping I can't see if the weapon I'm buying is better than the one I have equipped.
    And why the hell can I pick up a weapon but can't equip it until I go to a load out screen?
    What a load of crap.

    The looting is terrible too, what's the problem with leaving corpses on the ground after combat? Trying to see those tiny circle loot displays when you killed the thing from a distance is rubbish.
    At least if he was still lying there afterwards I could see him and go check for loot.
    Also looting just becomes a habit more than a necessity, I can't recall a single time I looted an item and thought 'cool, need this'.

    The little nodes for minerals, who worked on that? Probably the map person.
    You scan the node and does the node disappear or change? No it stays the exact same way before you arrive so when you return in future and see it you think 'did I get that one?' and yes you did and the next one and the next one and so on. Major annoyance.

    The mission/quests lay out is bad too, you revisit planets over and over.
    I handed in a quest on the Nexus then reboarded the Tempest and immediately got a email to return to the Nexus! F******************CK!
    This happened multiple times,leave a planet, talk to someone on the Tempest reland on exact same planet.

    I could go on and on, conversions are weird at times, badly written too.
    Oh before I forget, why is the main character given any dialogue choices since all of them tend to answer the same way.
    There is no paragon/renegade system, I can't make my toon be super nice or a total **** so why even bother with the options.
    There is loads of times where the options pop up to answer someone and you have two answers to pick from and both mean the exact same thing!
    Whats the point?
    The good stuff, combat is fun ermmm sometimes the visuals of planets are nice but that's about it. I got this game for £9 on deal, I'm so glad I didn't pay full price or I'd be super pissed.    … Expand

ME3 was still very good, even though the "choices" they gave for the ending were, in my opinion, a lazy and rushed sort of decision to save money and time.
    But, oh boy, don't get me started on Andromeda...
    The first and foremost thing that really put a hamper on my excitement when I first started the game (which I bought despite it being a laughing stock in social media because of several bugs, the female models being disfigured on purpose after they were finished, the horrible facial expressions, etc.) was the fact that you could still not play other races in single-player. Not a huge problem and they never promised something like that, but it has been a wish of many players in the community and it was possible for DA, so why not ME?
    The next thing that bothered me was that the thing that made the ME series so great, so unique compared to most other RPGs, was removed. Morality. Where in ME 1-3 every answer had the potential to influence NPCs reactions to you and you had special dialogues being unlocked depending on your play-style, in Andromeda, you don't have either. But as if that wasn't enough, you also don't have dialogue choices anymore. The game still gives you 4 choices but they are all the same, just said in a different way.
    Since I already tore into the dialogues a bit, they sound like a robot wrote them. They are stiff, boring and often just cliché as hell. Lackluster, maybe inexperienced voice actors round the whole thing into a boring, annoying, unmemorable and in my case, mostly skipped experience.
    The story line left much to be desired as well and it feels like almost all the money was spent on the visuals, leaving everything else in a more or less improvised state. The one point I give is really just for the big open world and beautiful graphics, which do little to nothing to redeem the game or make it worth the money I spent on it.
    In my opinion, it was a big middle finger in the face of every fan of the series. And for everyone that played Andromeda as the first (and probably only) game of the series it must seem like a bland sci-fi rpg with a big open world that is way to big for its content.    … Expand

Обычно со партийцы "дополняют" главного героя, но тут это так отвратительно сделано, извращенно что ли. Нельзя быть стойким, нельзя быть брутальным, нельзя промолчать. Можно выглядеть, как идиот с лазерной винтовкой.

    - бессмысленные сторонние квесты, их никто и никак не комментирует по сравнению с ME 1-2-3.

    Just tried the PC version, it's even worse than the console versions that are already very problematic, not to mention that the game is absolutely awful (please check my profile for the review of this game on PS4).
    On PC, even with a high end pc, this game still has problem running properly, and it doesn't really look at all much better than the console version.

    The story would have been acceptable video game foof if not for the franchise of Mass Effect being STORY DRIVEN. This would still have been overlookable if the game play was stellar. It's not, it shines in places, but in others (such as inventory management) it is a step back to the 1990's.

    Last and definitely not least, in this day and age I've come to expect some political/social agenda but this was ridiculous, I felt like I was going through a sensitivity training course at a Marxist daycare, rather than playing a video game.

    Speaking of that, I am not going into the multiplayer, because It's not something I'm interested in, nor I care about.

    Also, the watering down of the "class" system, turning it into this "jack of all trades" skyrim type **** I will not go into details about my personal "hate" of these kinds of systems. The reason for this is the same as the reason we saw it in Skyrim - laziness. Because it takes all kinds of effort to balance different classes, and we know that with companies, "effort" means "costing more money".

It's very hard to get immersed in this supposedly story/character driven game, when the words that come out of everybody's "tired" faces are nonsensical and sometimes worse than fanfiction.     The characters. Well, I'm not going to go into them much, because I know that this could also be considered a subjective thing. For me though, they are terrible. "Bethesda-facepalm" level terrible.

    The sound design, in particular some of the alien voices. It's like they didn't even try.
    Also, the "music" some times was atrocious. Like in the Vortex. So generic and annoying.

    Bugs (some gamebreaking), glitches and overall lack of polish of nearly any aspect, which leads to the conclusion of a rushed product. A rushed 5-year-in-development product, if that is possible.

    And then we get to the character creator. A very huge thing in these kinds of games. So what's going on with it? Well, basically it has been completely butcherred, to the point that for the most part it's non-existent. It's more like character "selector".

    We are talking Ubisoft's The Division level of laziness here. You have 9 scanned heads for each gender, of wich you can pretty much change only the hair, make up (and the choices are ridiculous btw), and a very limited skin tone slider (more on that later). There is virtually NO customization of the faces. You know, one of THE BIGGEST things these games, creating your own avatar. People like me spend many hours in character creators, tweaking.

    We all know that the CC in the previous games were never that great. But at least you could create unique and different faces. Changing different fetaures like eye shape, nose shape, mouth shape, brow shape and so on. In andromeda, you can't do that. Since the heads are scanned (although as a character artist myself, I can think of several ways to create the system in a way, that this would be non-issue). Which is simply sad. They didn't put any effort into this very essential aspect of the game.

    To be honest, I did not expected this to happen. The last remaing RPG feature of this game, to simply be crapped on to such extend. It's honestly the deal breaker for me. Not to mention the fact that Bioware lied, when they said that they will not change the CC much from DAI. But I guess the only thing that they didn't change (or dumbed down), was the color wheel for some things like eye color and makeup.

    Now I'm not going much into the obvious "Political Correctness" and SJW agendas, splashed all over this game, one of which is the uglification of the females. I can get geeky and nit picky with this one till we all get "asari" in the face, but I won't. There is more about it around the web.

    But the thing that goes too far, is the lack of white character presets for the females. Aside from most likely catering to regressive feminists like Sarkeesian, the fact there are purposefully no white presets is simply a disgrace.

    Not because I'm offended personally or whatever **** the apologists will throw at me, but because when you do something like that, you are intentionally igniting/creating racial tension amongst the community. This to me is so wrong, so sick and twisted, that I have no words for it. This thing alone is enough of a reason to boycott the studio and the publisher. And when you see things like this happening, some people like Manveer Heir start to make a whole lot more sense.

The bad animations are on a level where they ruin the the playability and immersion of the game. Tried to play through but kept on getting headaches from the weird animations and bad dialogue. Possibly one of the worst Bioware games I have played.

Last but not least, it's buggy to the death in every aspect. It's not a 0 because they improved again the combat system from ME3.

    I tried to understand bioware why most of their games lately come with horrific character creators and I Google it a bit. I discovered that the lead designer of bioware games is a racist against white people! You can search it yourself by adding his name in google search tab "Manveer Heir white people racist", there is many articles about him.
    It may have to do with his origin, who knows, I wonder how is it possible for companies such as EA which they are against racism I think, to pay big bucks to employees who actually promote racism and they mess up with the games in a level that is very well obvious.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The main problem is the fact that this game focused on making money, by selling it to consoles, everything else derives from that. People that complain about voice not being synced with the lips, are dumb, because it was before release. They patched it before the release. The problem is how most characters are ugly, everyone has retarded eye lashes. Your main female companion and rival is a lesbian ugly trash with 2016 shaved on sides haircut. Why? Because politically correct Bioware. The only cute human is a religious girl, because we're in a game like ME and she's religious. And a scientist, lmao. Men? Men are hot and you can flirt with any of them as a male Ryder. Thanks PC culture. You get a turian female. Wow. Female turian?? And she's the most interesting and "cute". The asari have "fat" looking faces and thus become unattractive, they are boring and bland, unlike the previous games, where I'd chose Liara or any asari dancer, commando, over long haired Miranda and Ashley (well, girls now don't even have long hair).

    Ok enough about partners and **** Chat is **** consider Fallout 4 but worse. Fallout had day1 mods because it's Bethesda. So the chat was fixed. This one is more like "retarded comment that makes you look whiny and stupid" or "retarded whiny comment that makes you look like you're trying hard to sound big, but aren't". Basically the kid of the most badass human they had, the dad gives his life for him and he's too **** stupid to be sure of anything, even if you chose the "I am sure" reply, because basically he'll say "I think I'm sure" instead. Because **** comments and long lines where you can read on your huge mother**** 4K screen, nah, we're making this for 900p consoles (yea yea bla bla, consoles have higher resolutions now, I doubt that the numbers you see there, match the actual resolution or that you can actually tell, when you're not sitting 40cm from your monitor like I am, but you are used to ****ty graphics from a distance, on your console). Then you have the issue with high requirements on your PC. Like your CPU is under high load, why? And your GPU kinda, also. Basically they added small physx elements, like the cape on some alien is slowly moving in the wind as you talk to him, to add load on your system so that your graphics aren't way too good compared to their main market : console plebs. Cuz we wouldn't want to upset them, now would we.
    Before you say my PC is **** or anything, I run at 1440p maximum settings at 60fps. At 4K the drops are too annoying and the movement seems way to slow and ****ty, even Witcher 3 moves better and dropping from 50 to 40 impacts too much.
    Now to the story, linear. Nothing to do, you just follow the quest. Making science and farming over military? At this point I am at, it makes 0 difference. Releasing people from cryogenic stasis? Yea it impacts a lot. NOT IN A IMMERSIVE WAY BUT **** THAT, YOU GOT PERKS LIKE IN DRAGON AGE INQUISITION, WHICH IS GREAT BUT IT'S NOT IMMERSIVE, IT'S ****TY DESIGNED AND YOU MOSTLY HAVE MILITARY PERKS. Thanks Bioware. I'd like it more if our people were stronger or you actually got **** done. Plus I love how the trading works before you meet new races: you got **** you need to pay for even though you're the pathfinder and mostly the only one doing **** or being in danger. So they have connection with independent miners and exiles and what? Are you **** stupid? Either make no traders available from the start and give free gear or **** make more aliens available to trade with from the start. Nah, that would mean they would have to invent a whole new race and a huge new story, how would they make dlc without those? Why explore a system (besides achievement and some ****ty quest) when all you **** get is 40 minerals in a huge **** 20000 km wide planet or you discover a **** vulcano and get 300 exp, a vulcano on a lava filled planet? What the **** what anomaly is that, do you understand what anomaly means?? Or how do you detect 40 **** minerals in an asteroid field or how do you explore a black hole? Basically you have a 10 light years system and your sensor are so good, you find a **** "huge deposit" of 40 **** minerals. Wow. You mine more on the ground, manually, from one vein, and there are several veins. What the **** what is the point of scanning and **** anyway? ME2 you had to get a ****load of materials and used them for research and **** now? Nope. You have a ****ty hand scanner that looks like garbage and blocks your view to scan **** for tech. Nice. The only good thing about it is the combat and multiplayer.

    EDIT: They stopped support to this game. There are game breaking bugs, I had to restart my PC after a crash, nothing else would work. You need to reduce graphics just for the sake of the game not crushing and this issue was known for months. Not fixed. **** them and their garbage.    … Expand

The main story is pretty **** but at least its follow able, but the side parts of the game is really what tear it apart. Space in Mass Effect has never felt so empty. No locations feel like living spaces with unique atmospheres like Omega and the Citadel did, and none of the party members are likable what so ever. Creepy faces aside the writing is just not good. It's average, and average for the video games industry is really, really bad. So what is a bioware game without good writing and set design? Bad, really, really bad. Save your dough, Mass Effect and Bioware are dead. RiP good Franchise.… Expand

    Postcard-pretty landscapes is pretty much all that there is good about Andromeda. They serve as backdrops for a boring, cliche-ridden, somewhat demented story with forgettable characters and even more forgettable missions.
