This... Ladies and gentlemen, is why us PC gamers cant have nice things. So GTA comes out with a game. It isnt 100% compatible with everyone in the world's hardware and internet so we come to the review websites and give it a 0/10?

Developers dont want to port games because you people slander their product without ever having tried it.

Just because a game doesn't start for a few people does not mean it's a 0. This game is a 10. I'm sorry if you can't get it running for some reason, but spamming 0 scores because there's some problems with the launch of an incredibly complex piece of software is just childish.

Grand Theft Auto V was already considered one of the best video games of all time, but on a technical level this is in my opinion the absolute masterpiece in video game history. Its 60FPS and 4K support makes it miles ahead of the PS4/X1 versions. If you have a good enough PC rig then really do get it for the 60fps and 4k. A true masterpiece

They either have a bad PC, and they're trying to max the game, then getting mad at the game for their mistakes, or they didn't get the latest drivers for GTA V, and are mad at the game for their own mistakes. The game is great, from its story to its online, it brings excellence. Heists and all the DLCs that have been released for GTA V are available right out of the box, and are as good as expected. My only gripe with the PC version of GTA V is that the mouse & keyboard controls are not the best, although this can be fixed with custom configuration in the options menu, I do emphasize that this game is more relaxed and fun with a controller. The PC GTA V is hands down easily the best version with 60fps, 4k compatibility, technically the most sound, and with tons of flexibility and features that you simply do not get on the consoles.

Rockstar is in a class almost exclusively of it's own. 10/10

In a lot of ways this is the ultimate love letter to the big 3 GTA games from back in the PS2/Xbox days. The huge variety of missions and side missions are back. You can get lost for hours just driving a cab or playing tennis. The main story is fun and I really like the way it weaves between the main characters.

All server wait times are faster, I don't get kicked incessently. A few issues trying to get in servers with crew members but they might have been full or something. I've seen some janky cars around during some missions but other than that smooth as hell. Graphics are gorgeous, first person shooting and driving feels fantastic. First person shooting feels just about as good as dedicated FPS's, but the game has so much more.

Single player is fantastic, online is fantastic. Loving finally getting to play this game with my PC friends. Brought my character over from consoles, went nuts on the server, drove my mental state into the abyss and spent about $30k in ammo. Worth every penny. get this game...thru steam.

Having played this game and beaten it on XBOX 360, I can say that this game is 10/10 at 2013.
Now, how does it hold up on PC 2015 after several delays?
I have a rig at home that has an FX-8350 and a GTX 970, but I am unable to play that right now because I am in college. Despite that, I have a gaming laptop/desktop replacement Asus G750 with 16gb ram, i7 4700HQ, and a 770m GPU.

Everything runs smooth as buttocks for me as I get constant 60fps on high settings. I tried to max everything and I run at an average of about 40 fps with frame drops, which I hate. The Nvidia driver probably did the job on optimizing the game for my 770m GPU. I expect to run this game maxed out on my desktop. I have no idea how this game runs on Radeon cards; but from reading other people's reviews, I think its not fully optimized, yet.
Overall, this game is basically GTA V version 3.0 (1.0 Xbox, 2.0 Xbox One/PS4, 3.0 PC... etc). It has everything that has been released on consoles and brought to the PC.

Yes, there are server problems, which I hated too. However, I just bite the bullet and let it download, slowly. Eventually, I got it to run. Although there are server problems, I haven't ran into any connection errors.

To me, the game is optimized, so I have no idea why people are saying it isn't. Compared to Assassin's Creed Unity, this game is silk while ACU is sand paper.

Please disregard people who is rating this game lower than a 3. Its because most of them are troll "reviews". Hey, you can't be successful without haters.

I was not going to write a review but after seeing so many people rating this game with a zero only for not being able to download the patch on day one, which is by the way a reasonable issue that any game can have, I decided I would write one.

First of all I would like to say that I managed to download the patch before the servers supposedly went down. When I got in the game it was a bit laggy at the beginning but that is because my PC is not amogst the strongest machines out there by far. The game has very in depth graphical settings so after tweaking some, it felt incredibly smooth. What surprised me was the fact that the game seems to be running smoother with vsync on which is not the case with most of the other games but then again it might be only me and my PC.

The controls might feel a little bit wonky. Especially having the special abilities set to caps lock might get very annoying. So I would recommend looking in the key bindings and playing with the for a little bit till you find something that works for you. Or you can play with a gamepad.

GTA V is a very well made port. Which is a nice change after GTA IV. The optimization is great. And although it still has some elements from the console version that might not feel too great, the gameplay is amazing. I would maybe make some small improvements the driving model. What I also like about the game is that they brought back some stuff that was lacking in GTA IV like car customization. That was one of the best things to do in San Andreas and I was really sad when I found out it was not going to be in GTA IV. They also made some really big improvements to the multiplayer which is a blast with friends. One more thing I would like to point out is the first person mode which completely changes the way the game is played and it feels a lot more immersive.

I haven't gotten far enough in the story to be able to fully review it but so far it is pretty intriguing.

With all that said if you are wondering whether or not to buy this game I would recommend that you do. without any doubts. It is well worth the money.

I had no plans to buy it.

And then the reviews came in. So, i have it a go.

    1. Most players that have a beefy enough system to play this game well, have good internet as well. I do, so no complaints on large patches from me.

    2. I torrented the pre-load. That caused all my issues. Deleting it, and verifying the actual steam files fixed all my issues.

    3. My system:

    Amd FX-8320e 3.2ghz octacore
    12gb ram
    Nvidia msi 750 2gb edition

I have all settings set to high, all density settings on max.

I am still getting 55fps to 60fps and i am blown away by it. On high, it looks better than current gen, and i honestly have no clue how. Rockstar said they were polishing, and defying all odds, i'm forced to believe them.

    4. People online are **** Lol.

    5. My final point, is the 9 im giving this.
I like the game. Love it, even. I'm level seven and have 100's of hours to go.
The game is beautiful, and i am very much enjoying it. However, rockstar loses a point for taking so long. It took 5 years to make gta 5, and the pc version should have at least hit with current gen. That it didnt, is a huge disappointment.

In closing, if your system isnt **** if you have an average internet connection, than this game is completely worth it.

It doesn't work, but then again it's expected from such a sc*mbag developer who likes to cater towards consoles and leave us $60 non-functional/unoptimized/untested scraps.

To the people saying it doesn't work because of minimum specs, I have a 3770K, 32GB DDR3, HW RAIDED SSDs and a R9 290 4GB so nope. Take your false of technical expertise with you.

Game seems well optimized and looks stunning running at 2550x1440. On a GTX 970 I'm getting between 45-60+ fps with most settings except AA maxed. The amount of options that they've thrown into the menus makes it obvious that a lot of work went into porting this game. I purchased through Steam so I had none of the issues with Rockstar's downloader.

Fast forward to now - THIS is the way GTA was supposed to look, feel, and play. Every single annoyance I had with the console version is gone. The game is smooth as butter, textures are crisp, graphic effects add to the ambiance, and the city just feels alive! This is everything I wanted GTA to be, finally realized on my preferred gaming system.

Rockstar has perfected the gameplay - with the addition of first person mode, it feels like a well-executed blend of racing game and shooter. I am looking forward to putting even more time into this version, as replaying the story feels so refreshing - the opening scene of the game was the closest to photo-realistic that I've seen yet. Such a perfect world to play around in - I can't wait to get off work to play again!

No mouse acceleration from what I can tell (I tested by moving my mouse from one side of the pad to the other at different speeds).

Also, first person camera view is awesome. Everything in the game works in first person mode. Even when your character lies down on the bed to save the game, it's in first person rather than the mini-cutscene that normally plays.

It was hard to wait for nearly two years and avoid console gamers giving spoilers for it. But I'm glad I did. The only few issues I have, are that I'd have liked to have had it in Steam. I prefer to buy physical games due to having really bad internet speed. And it would have been nice if there could be a choice to put the aiming reticule on the screen when you're not aiming. I take longer to get enemies in my sights due to this. It would have been better if there could be an option to have it all the time, as well as a transparency for it when I'm not aiming. Then I could get a better idea before I aim and see it properly. This is probably just used to playing FPS games.

The only other issues, is that I can't use all the keys I choose to. The Home and Page Up keys aren't bindable. I play left-handed, so it would have been better if I could change the Rockstar SC function to something else and free up that key.

It'd also be a good idea if some things could be bound to the same key, like in Battlefield. There's an interact binding, as well as a secondary one for things like accessing your wardrobe. I'd use Enter for interact, but now I need something else for that. This would be a nice addition to it, if a number of functions could mix. I'd love to have my reload (right shift) as character select if I held it instead of tapped it. We could double up on our bindings if something like this is possible.

(Will redo this and add a more in-depth one when the game is completed)

The game is really good although it bugs me that it requires a mandatory day one 5gb patch. With so many delays, surely the game should be shipped in a highly finished state? Installing 7 dvds, then all the rockstar social club stuff, then hours downloading a giant patch. It seems Rockstar does not put user experience first.

The story feels lackluster. The characters each have their own story when there is almost no point. On top of this I cant really get into any of the players story line. Multiplayer is chock full of bad matchmaking and incredibly poorly designed game modes. This gets an average rating from me as its just not good, its not terrible, but it lacks every quality to be fantastic.

We could not expect a better PC port PC for Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar North, offers right from day one a huge game in optimized, widely scalable, and high impact graphics and the video editor, although not so easy to use, is an enjoyable addition.
