    Please ignore the red scores from trolls and angry console peasants, anyone scoring this game in the red has never played it and is therefor not qualified to score it. Giving the game a 0 score because you live in an area with bad internet and the game is 60gb is unacceptable and quite frankly stupid.

    The story feels lackluster. The characters each have their own story when there is almost no point. On top of this I cant really get into any of the players story line. Multiplayer is chock full of bad matchmaking and incredibly poorly designed game modes. This gets an average rating from me as its just not good, its not terrible, but it lacks every quality to be fantastic.

    the story is trash. the only characters that were kind of interesting are michael, lester, and maybe a few others. the rest of the characters are either underdeveloped (like franklin), or just plain annoying (michael's family, trevor). many returning HD era characters are completely thrown under the bus.

    this game has taken sooooo many steps backwards from GTA IV, with the ragdoll physics, shooting, driving, police AI, civilian AI, melee combat, vehicle destruction, interiors, multiplayer, game world, and other aspects. it irritates me how mainstreams critics will mindlessly give this game a 10/10 while completely ignoring how all of these core gameplay mechanics have been downgraded. i guess a huge map with pretty graphics is more than enough to impress these brainless hacks.

    "b-but GTA V has parachutes, planes, tanks, business management, and a countryside!" yeah, so did GTA san andreas. guess what? many of these features have been done better in san andreas anyway.

    don't get me wrong, this game is still highly polished, beautiful, and smooth to play. first person mode is a welcome addition to next-gen. and there is still fun to be had in the main campaign. but the campaign is worth playing only once and never returning to again. it's designed to be consumed once.

    my brain gives this game a 7/10, but my heart gives it a 3/10. therefore, i will rate this game a 6/10.    … Expand

    Grand Theft Auto V is in many ways the archetypical example of the modern open-world game. A huge environment to drive around in and get lost in, containing a few small towns, a big city, random scripted events going off every once in a while, and above all else, little icons on a map that you go to in order to make things happen.

    Clocking in around 40 hours to beat and about 55 hours to do everything but collect the collectibles, the game offers a mixture of third person shooting, driving cars and aircraft, and the odd minigame. The story is a story of three criminals who all simultaneously respect and hate each other, and who are all various flavors of terrible people.

    The game has thrilling heists, where the player figures out some plan of attack (from one of two options), does things to set up for that, and then executes on the plan, while switching dynamically between the characters to execute on their part of the plan. This is where the game is at its best.

    And if the game was always that good, it would be great.

    Unfortunately, it isn’t.

    The game is also full of very boring missions, tedious side content, and inconvenience. The lack of a normal fast travel system means that if you need to go from one side of the map to the other, it will consume several minutes of your time, the simulationist nature of the game means that changing your characters’ clothing requires you to go to their house (or a store, if they sell that particular type of clothing there), and there’s a lot of empty time that is filled up by driving from one place to another.

    GTA V does its best to avoid too much blatant filler content – there’s only a few of the typical “collect 50 of this random item scattered around the world” missions, and they’re purely optional.

    But a lot of the content in the game is just dull. Running around in the desert for five miles, doing a half-hour long triathlon where all you do is tap A repeatedly to run/swim/bike faster, spending twenty minutes loading and offloading cargo – there is many a dull moment in the game, where the game just has you do something inane for no good reason for far too long.

    But even the “good” missions are often held back by the gameplay. The core gameplay of driving around in cars is alright, but the helicopters feel rather janky to fly and the plane missions are something of a mixed bag, as there’s no real air to air combat system. The third person shooting gameplay is quite weak – it feels awkward, and while using a mouse plus keyboard makes it better, the game just doesn’t do anything very strong with the third person gameplay. The enemies are almost all indistinguishable from each other, just being a bunch of dudes with guns, or dudes with guns in cars/planes. Tanks technically exist, but I saw them in exactly one mission – and a side-mission at that – and they were easily dispatched with explosives.

    The open world also tries to introduce things like property ownership, but the properties feel like more of a burden than an asset – several will ask the player to do repetitive side quests from a very small list, and the only one that really felt like it was worth purchasing was the one that let you customize your cars for free. Indeed, given the limited duration of the game, it was a losing proposition to buy property, as you’d have more money by the end of the game if you didn’t – the best way to make money was to do the stock market manipulation missions.

    The game does try to entertain people with the story. And on some level, this actually works pretty well – the characters almost always have stuff to say, with the “boring bits” of driving long distances allowing for exposition dumps and back and forth dialogue. There’s story content in almost every mission, and the characters have something to say about almost everything that happens.

    The problem is that the characters themselves aren’t particularly likeable, and the story as a whole doesn’t ultimately go anywhere. Michael is a jerk with anger problems. Franklin wants to get rich and escape from the hood. Trevor is a violent sociopath who wants to just keep on running his meth empire. There’s tension between Michael and Trevor due to Trevor believing that Michael betrayed him years before, and Michael is trying to mentor Franklin a bit.

    But none of it really feels like it has strong enough payoff, and the characters don’t feel like they ultimately learned anything. Franklin never gets to run a heist, so he never really emerges from Michael’s shadow. Michael still has anger issues, and his family’s resolution is basically “We’re all a bunch of **** so we’re pretty much stuck together,” and somehow, this makes them happy. And Trevor… is just doing the same thing he was doing beforehand, and learned absolutely nothing, except he ultimately makes peace with Michael by murdering a third party that they both loathe.    … Expand

    As someone who played GTA games since GTA 3, GTA V feels like a massive step back from GTA San Andreas and even a small step back from GTA 4.     As someone who played GTA games since GTA 3, GTA V feels like a massive step back from GTA San Andreas and even a small step back from GTA 4. Having three separate characters that you will have to earn money for, upgrade and utilize to level up their skills feels tedious. What's wrong with just having a single character? It worked so well before, didn't it? Instead, I have to buy business separately for them, upgrade their cars separately and make money and trade stocks separately for the characters. Gone are the days when I can focus all in just one character and buy numerous stuff for a single character. now I have to do everything 3 times! Also, how come I can buy many business but cannot buy different houses for my characters? They only have the story-given houses and that is it. Also, I can no longer have girlfriends. I also can no longer do gyms or other activities like San Andres. It's very bad. Now with GTA Casino, we also have in-game gambling with fake money that you purchase with real world money. It's stupid and terrible. The console menus are also bad and the flying and swimming controls are very unintuitive. The Rockstar Games Social Club, which is a DRM, is also very bad and gets sync errors all the time. I don't like these things to be in my GTA. It's a disaster compared to San Andreas.

    GTA used to be game where you can fulfill your power fantasies in a parody version of our modern day society. You can kill people like crazy, ram them like hell, fly on jetpacks, run around with **** and gimp suits, pick up your girlfriends for a date in a ruined blood-stained car and even go on a rampage while you are with your girlfriend. The radio stations were also fun and vulgar in previous GTA games. We also had racist gangs and turf wars back in San Andreas, which was really fun. All of these things have been removed and replaced with SJW and PC-culture, niceness and way less violence compared to previous GTA games. Lazlow used to be funny and now he is a washout. The talk radio stations are also boring, full of SJW guests, PC and fail at being funny. You can't have PC culture and comedy in the same space as they go against each other. I remember watching the sunset while inside a parked car in GTA San Andres while listening to the radio. Those were the days.

    As for the characters, instead of doing crazy things, Michael now has to take care of his family (which screws him over repeatedly). His family is so annoying and full of retards and narcissists that the game should allow me to kill them for being such. I know that previous GTA games would. Trevor is the only fun character, which is the redneck stereotype, but his craziness can be annoying sometimes and he changes into women clothes all the time on his own. Franklin was trying hard to be CJ from San Andreas, but he falls flat because of poor story and writing. I'd almost think he was the diversity hire if he didn't have skills.

    The gameplay is good and the bugs are minimal. Driving is fun and there are lots of cars, but you have to buy the best ones with in-game cash. The graphics are also very good but has issues with ultra widescreen PCs, which is bad. I got this game on a sale, so it's not much damage.

    People who rate this game a 10/10 clearly have no idea how far we have regressed from GTA San Andreas, or simply weren't paying attention. They seriously lower the bar for future GTA games. I don't think I'll be buying the next GTA game anymore, simply because I am sure it will be a microtransaction-filled mess with poor writing, disappointing comedy and less features and fun activities compared to even this game.    … Expand

    For Online, I suggest you download FiveM or GTA Network so that you can play on other servers, than on the main Rockstar servers (for the time-being). You can you FiveM/GTA Network or you can create a private lobby from the 'Online' tab and just do heist/races in that lobby with your friends. Other than that, the base Online game is filled with hackers sadly. For a 3+ year old game, you would think they would invest money into making a anti-cheat instead of making pointless updates.

    Warning; as of March 2017, you can't transfer your Online character from console to PC or PC to console. So, with that being said. You will need to start all over if you planned on merging your PS4/Xbox One character to PC. It's not possible anymore. It's funny how Rockstar can still put GTA V at the $60 price point (not worth it, get it on sale (maybe $30)), but yet they can't support a small but great feature.    … Expand

    The online mode pushes Shark Cards too much, and that is a fact, most of the items need abusive amounts of grinding, and that is sad, the online mode´s gameplay is really good, especially with the free DLC, but sadly, the DLC content is hidden behind a secret paywall, vehicles cost an absurd amount of money, requiring you to buy some shark cards if you want to get the content at the launch, a small detail that bothers me are the litteral spam calls from the DLC characters, it is annoying as hell, it pushes the content so hard into you it makes you want to buy the DLC content just to stop those calls.    … Expand

    I played GTA V about 700 hours in the Multiplayer together with the Singleplayer, but unfortunately the Singleplayer did not get any content after years and the Multiplayer became a disaster which has nothing to do with GTA anymore.
    The Singleplayer i can easily give 9 of 10 points but the Multiplayer only 3 of 10 points.

    Its overall really fun, the non online experience is lacking and its way better online; IF you join the right people; IE people who don't drive around and kill. If you're new you really have to work to get ANY money and get any good guns or upgrades. It may seem like I hate it, but it is fun. Not as good as san andreas as it feels like there's less, but its still has the grand theft auto replay ability. Nice cars cost a ludicrous amount of money too, in comparison to the amount of money you earn doing missions. It's tailored this way in hopes you purchase, with real money, 'shark cards' - in game money. If all you're going to be doing is missions for fun with a friend - not caring about obtaining nice vehicles, and play in private lobbies, then it could be fun for you.

    Overall I would say it's worth picking up for the story mode, but only do so when it is on sale.    … Expand

Heist missions make up the core of the campaign and allows the player to choose from different tactical approaches at the onset of the mission; It's a welcome addition but ultimately fails to add a satisfying level of strategy to the experience. Character wise, the agenda is palpable; The white southerner is a depraved murderous maniac, The italian-american is a mobster, and the black kid is a walking vegetable. Overall, the game promotes amorality, pornography, violence by the truckloads. In fact, I'd be curious to research on the ethnic/religious background of the writers and producers. As it is the case with agenda products, the game is very well produced, and the audio-visual realization is great; The world feels alive.     overrated. Definitely fun to play but does not deserve all the hype. The story for single player mode was meh while the multiplayer mode was definitely really fun. Never finished the story due to it being kinda boring.

    Further nobody joins Heists as they are mininum in rewards to effort.

    The Story mode might be OK. Do spend any more than 10 bucks on this game (plus subsribition fees)    … Expand

    Not sure what all the fuss is about. The story is practically non-existent, the graphics and controls are dated for the time in which it was released, and it is a far cry from previous entries in the series. The only redeeming factor for me was the online which was excellent.

    Meh story, with really great world built around them. Looks pretty though. Can't say i'd recommend it to anyone though. Play a few missions and you've basically seen the entire game. More of a simulator than a game.

    A good singleplayer game with a decent story and characters. Unfortunately the missions and side jobs really aren't that interesting. The setting is a generic southwest U.S. city that doesn't feel original at all. The missions were repetitive with the exception of the heists which were really well done.     However, GTA online is a totally different story. It's a wannabe MMO that fails in every single regard. The grind is ridiculous, the load times are near endless, and the connection problems are continuous. When i've tried to join GTA online more times than not i've been thrown into a German or Russian server even though i'm in the middle of the U.S. There are hackers in probably 50% of the servers as well. But worst of all is that the large majority of the missions are just flat out boring. You'll finish most of the stuff within 10 hours and only be at about level 15. The rest of the game will be a grind of playing the same stuff over and over again. The only decent part of online is the heists, which you better have 3 other friends to play with because finding a game with 3 randoms is a nightmare nobody should experience. Talk about trying to form for 20 minutes only to get in game and have someone die, then try a couple more times with people dying for one reason or another, then somebody decides to just leave the game and you're thrown back to forming up again. You've wasted over an hour of your time and haven't even done anything. And to top it off when you actually finish a heist finale you'll be rewarded with around 2,000 RP (experience). You can get 1,000 RP in 4 minutes by finishing the quickest race by yourself. It's not balanced at all and you get better rewards for doing the same thing over and over again rather than tackling the hardest missions in the game.     I've played the Xbox 360 version as well as the PC version and I admit. PC visuals are amazing, Smoother gameplay and interesting mods for the PC version has definitely impressed me.     But why a 6 out of 10? Because this game isn't that great to begin with. With all the content in this game the main complaint I have with this game is the main story from the offline mode. It really took a downhill turn coming from GTA 4, The characters are lacking development, especially Franklin, Franklin is really undeveloped which made his character sound/look like CJ in GTA san andreas, micheal and trevor are the same. Under developed characters which in the end you don't care about anymore. Story is stupid as well because it looks like they really dumbed it down so that the younger audiences would understand the story better.

    Another complaint I have is lack of content... I remember they announced GTA V a long time ago and it was advertised like it was going to be big. So I was expecting San andreas big. (San andreas keep in mind had the most content out of every single GTA game out there.) But I was disappointed, the content it lacked after finishing the missions and all the side missions makes you bored of offline mode really fast.

    But online mode is great, tons of contents and heists, too. The online mode is at least 10 times better than single mode which made me skip story mode for GTA V on Pc. But the GTA V online community is a joke and filled with immature people which makes me spend most of my time playing GTA V alone.

    I would recommend getting this game if you are playing for the online, but skip the single player mode.. it's not worth playing.    … Expand

    In one word: overrated. People even qualifying this as the best game in 2015 is just simply sad. The game is not bad, let's face it, you can be a gangster for one day, graphically it's extremely beautiful, it's cool that there's an open world with random side-stories happening and stuff but other than that, the missions are boring, the control is pretty bad, there's not even a decent storyIn one word: overrated.     As mentioned previously, The story lacks criminality. A few heists, a few short missions, and not much else is what you get for criminality. In the previous games you were a Hitman, you worked for the mob, or you were a gangster. None of the 3 main characters fit in these spots. Honestly, I don't like any of the 3 main characters. They lack any personality and are boring cliche's. The story in this game ends rather abruptly, And the end game content is absolutely dreadful. If you love hundreds of boring fetch quests with no reward ( They literally give you $1 for completing one of them ) Enjoy! You have to do this for %100 game completion.
    GTA 5 I find is a direct slap in the face from Rockstar to its previous fans. CJ's house is no longer on Grove st, The Balla's own Grove st now, and this is never explained in the story. This is a direct slap in the face to ANYONE who played San Andreas. The story in this game is absolutely terrible, and wins the worst story of the franchise.

    The Police in this game are broken, and still are broken, and will remain broken. The Police helicopters magnetically follow you around, they crash into objects, they see you through tunnels and underground, a new one spawns the instant you blow it up, and the police on board rarely miss their shots. The police will attack you for the smallest of things, and you can get a wanted level even from sniping someone in the middle of nowhere with a silencer. The police cruisers will even go as far as driving up a mountain to attack you. While the police needed to be more difficult, They went way over board with the cops.

    This is the largest game in the franchise, and they've crammed detail into every corner of the map. Although the mountains have terrible spawnpoints in multiplayer, your bound to find something interesting every so often.

    If you're looking for "Best in the Franchise" aspects to this game, Look to the general mechanics. The shooting is drastically improved for the better and many more guns have been added into the game. The cars and driving are far better then any of the previous games, and car modification is absolutely perfect. The graphics are also vastly improved. These are the award worthy aspects of the game.

    GTA Online, Rubbish since Day one. I've already reviewed GTA Online individually, So I will just give you a shorter version of this.
    GTA Online is cancerous. The community is toxic, the PvP is broken by DLC vehicles, and the game will take ingame money from you wherever possible. GTA Online is packed to the brim with cheaters, and the best Rockstar can do is ban them for 2 weeks, along with the people who mod singleplayer, only to have them come back with their cheats 2 weeks later. R* support is like talking to a wall, Don't bother. They don't care. Don't step into this turd.

    Let it be known that this is NOT the best game in the franchise. Play San Andreas, Play Vice City, Play GTA 3, and take the R* beer goggles off. If you enjoy going on random rampages and exploring, go for it. This game is for you. But in general, this game was over hyped, and doesn't live up to the title of "Best Grand Theft Auto" or even "Best Game".    … Expand

    The PC Port is ok, however there was a problem that made this game a little less enjoyable than it should be and that's the constant FPS drops whilst driving/flying, it's far too jarring to not be a complaint. Every couple of seconds I'll get drops from 90fps to 40fps (keep in mind, none of the settings change this, I even played on low and the problem still persisted). My graphics card is a GTX 970 and I have an Intel i5 3450 and 16GB RAM, more than capable to play this game at High+ settings. Some lucky souls have got this game working fine, however the majority have experienced these FPS drops.

    The multiplayer is also total **** with modders all over the place and FPS drops being even more persistent. Rockstar have also developed the multiplayer in such a way that to save up for certain vehicles/houses, you have to buy micro-transactions or you grind away for a couple of days (which is extremely tedious).

    Overall it's a very fun game with a jaw-dropping open world, but it has a very weak story which is very odd for a GTA game. Simply not my cup of tea, I much prefer GTA IV.    … Expand

    I was really worried that playing three mains, in this title, would break immersion for me and i was thankfully wrong. The story is grand and picks on pop culture like its his little brother, character are filled out and great. I have no real complaints about the story mode.. So i guess you wonder why the 7?? If there is a guy spawn camping you for thirty minuets, the devs don't care at all. Not to mention the server lag, which at this point it's humorously terrible. Actually it's not even funny. Did I mention the servers close randomly and that I may have only seen a 30 player server once in my 80 hours online? I mean, those are just the hours I spent in GTA Online. They are a lot of hours because I hoped by the 80th, the game would work. I own this game for the PS3, PS4, and the PC, and not one version does this thing work. It's almost as if they completely forgot to put the game, into the game.
    Of course there is the single player. It's good, I mean, if the giant rain cloud behind it (the multiplayer) wasn't casting a grand shadow of poop on it, I would talk about it a lot more. In fact, I don't even have anything to complain about the single player, but that's not what I spent 80 hours doing on PC. I only spent an additional 20-30 hours on the single player, but that's nothing compared to the 100+ of hours that I spent on the multiplayer throughout all the versions of the game.

    Beautiful to look at, with a giant world and tons to do. But I didn't enjoy the driving, shooting, or characters, and those were the most important things in the game.

    I'd love to give this game a solid 10, but at launch there was just a handful amount of really bad bugs and memory leaking. Its been delayed too much to still have in game bugs at launch and it still has its issues till this day. If it were not for GTA V' s modding community I would give it a 6.

    i kinda expected this to be better than GTA:SA, but i was disappointed. everybody keeps praising it, but i feel fairly limited. the framerate doesn't go above 60 and pop-in is still dangerous at high speeds. also, the online is just terrible. hacker constantly ruining the game. so much lag, even worse pop-in. some parts just seem broken

The game tone: until now, few days after finishing the game, I can not find the essence: was it serious, was it joke, was it drama or comedy? I do not care for multiplayer, I only started it once, only to find that city is dead, and some punk chasing and shooting me from heli with automatic weapon. There is maybe more than that but I did not care. The meter that is never wrong to me is: I like the game then I can not stop playing it. I do not like the game, I need to force myself to play it. Well, since as a player I could not miss gtaV anyway, I had to force myself to play it and finish the campaign.… Expand

One of the most fun aspects of the previous games to me was having multiple safehouses I could not only duck into and lay low, but also to store cars at. You only get 1 to 2 safehouse per character and they can only be used by those characters, and they are default given to you based on the story. Lame lame lame

    -Clothing options suck. There are only really 3 different clothing stores, and you can't even buy the same clothes for all the characters. You also can only pair certain shoes with certain pants, which makes it way harder than it needs to be to form a cool outfit, especially for characters like Franklin who when they go into the "nice" clothing store, can only buy Chinos as pants, which aren't able to pair with the "nice" shoes. in fact there are no "nice" pants you can buy for him, rather you have to buy a full suit, but if you want to get any of the cool sports coats or jackets, you can't wear any good pairs of shoes with them because since it is not a full suit you are forced to wear chinos or other pants (none of which are allowed to pair with nice shoes)

    -The missions become lame after a while. They go from making me feel like an action start, to just fighting against the controls of the game to to tedious tasks. Flying missions are all horrible and unfun, as are many of the sidequest.

    -It is unclear the difference between "pocket money" and "bank money". You keep getting these emails that show you are collecting revenue, but it is a pain to try and figure out where this money actually is. After googling for several days and posing questions on forums I finally figured out where it is.

    -The swimming controls are horrid, and make zero sense. Why is the jump key by default the same as the dive key? And why should I have to google how to swim up every time I'm caught underwater losing breath because it's insanely overcomplicated to figure out how to swim back to the surface? So many unfun incredibly anger inducing deaths have come from drowning.

    -Michael and Trevor's powers are too similar. They are essentially the same thing, "Be good at combat". Why not diversify and make one of them good at parkour or something? Have Franklin be the driver, Trevor be the crazy gun guy, and Michael be the physical specimen that can jump over huge distance, run fast, climb walls, basically specialize in getting away via foot, and also be really good at hand combat with special moves and such.

    -In general there's nothing good to spend your money on. You can spend money on property, which you can't even enter or customize, it just makes you more money or gives you unfun non descript missions to undertake. All the guns are cheap and ammo is cheaper. The clothing is limited and not done well. There are no safehouses to buy cool mansions or lots of various ones to just have around the city. Spending money on cars is useless because the characters just have their default vehicles and there are only like 2 or 3 garages per character, and most missions will erase your car randomly so... yeah

    -Lack of heists. Come on, you know we want to do the heists mainly. You get to do one at the beginning of the game, and it leads you to believe there will be many with this whole explanation of choice of characters and gaining experience. In the end it really just doesn't matter at all, and you go through suuuuch a long drought in the game where you never even get the opportunity to pull a heist after the first one (you even get teased with a heist where you can't choose any of the characters, and get no actual reward from it)

    -No way to choose a set of outfits your characters can be found in. They always make the characters look like idiots, why can't I lock in the set of outfits that they can randomly be found in? Such a simple thing that can add so much more fun to the game.    … Expand

    My next biggest complaint is how stripped down the world seems outside of missions compared to previous games in the franchise. I know that is because they are trying to funnel people to the online heist mode. I know this is their big focus because the most recent 0.5 gig patch made the base game run slightly worse and looking at the patch notes, it was all new stuff for the online mode.    … Expand

    Initially I loved the game. After first ~15 hrs it felt like 10/10. Graphics were great, optimization amazing, fun gameplay and I loved implementation of 1st person perspective.

    The more I played the more flaws I saw. I liked the characters at first but as the story continues I realized how little personality they have. Franklin earns some money, moves to a fancy house and then his story pretty much ends. Michael has several problems with his family which leads to a bunch of different missions. The problem is - his family is quite horrible, I hated his wife and stupid kids. I get it - he loves them and wants to help them, but I couldn't care less about these characters, which made all those missions extra boring.
    Trevor felt like the most interesting character out of those 3. But then we witness him doing something awfully stupid. One good thing - his missions are most fun, lots of versatility, creativity.

    Overall there are too many missions that simply aren't very interesting. All the set-up missions for heists are terrible. I'd like to see more missions that include flying as well.

    Side activities.
    There are plenty and that's it. Shooting range was fun, I enjoyed hunting and... that's it. You don't get any decent rewards for them and they are not fun enough to just keep doing them.

    You can buy some busineses. They cost plenty, award you with some crapy mini-missions and give you lousy income. Basically, they're a waste of time.

    Earning money is difficult outside of main missions, but on the other hand there's nothing to spend it on. Forget about buying houses (not worth it) or cars (you will be stuck with personal vehicles anyway), so after you buy some guns and upgrades for personal vehicles, you're done.

    Walking around and exploring works for a while then it gets old. There's only a few "random" encounters, you won't find any cool hidden items. Best thing I found was a bunch of topless ladies near some pool, behind a fancy house.

    There's plenty of things to do in GTA 5, but only very few of them I found entertaining and actually worth doing. The main story and characters are in my opinion significantly worse than in previous GTA games.
    Overrated game but still can be enjoyable for a while. Get it when it goes on a sale.

    For me the best part of the GTA games has always been the open world, choosing what to yourself and trying out a lot of different things as well as the diversity of the missions. In this regard, the best of the series is San Andreas. You could go to the gym to work out so that your character looked more muscular. You could eat junk food to get fat.     The game is really good although it bugs me that it requires a mandatory day one 5gb patch. With so many delays, surely the game should be shipped in a highly finished state? Installing 7 dvds, then all the rockstar social club stuff, then hours downloading a giant patch. It seems Rockstar does not put user experience first.

    GTA V is an improvement over GTA IV, easily, but it's not up to GTA San Andreas' level of craftmanship.

    GTA V has less sense of urgency, exploration, adventure, excitement, creativity, and running wild and free than GTA San Andreas accomplished, and the GTA V mission layout is inefficient and seems like it was done to artificially elongate player play-time.     With GTA V, Rockstar seem to have proven as de-facto that they do not have much competence at PC game-making, as the UI in GTA V is pretty hodgepodge thrown together, the minigame controls that come up in GTA V missions are very erratic / inconsistent, and accessibility for things in GTA V can be really non-intuitive, and not in line with expected functionality. Rockstar seems to clearly be a console developer who has made an effort for the PC version, but have little familiarity with the PC gaming experience. A lot of their design choices in GTA V are abysmal, and beneath average usability. They need to get their heads out of their own asses, and open their eyes and figure their sh*t out better. Maybe they're expecting a free pass without doing the proper work owed.

    The city of San Andreas is very nice, but it feels like GTA V doesn't make enough use of it. There is a lot less of a feeling of exploiting every opportunity in GTA V than there is in GTA San Andreas. GTA V is just a lot more normal than GTA San Andreas, and maybe that's why they made the Trevor character - to compensate for lacking an innate creative zaniness in the writing, mission design, overall main story. But as the player, I've wanted to kill Trevor off all along, and don't enjoy playing as him, or his contribution to the story.

    I think that the character Trevor doesn't work.The character Trevor is crazy, but RS don't seem to have known what they were trying to accomplish by it, and it feels a bit as though it was done just to see what it was like, or just to grab people's attention with vapid shock value. Having better design in the game would instead be a satisfying player draw, and Trevor seems gimmicky.

    The story in GTA V feels a bit mundane, and it makes the individual mission shine less, and have less sense of important purpose within them. Kind of feels like like just dealing with things while nothing more interesting is going on.

    The GTA V mission design is all criss-crossed across the map, so it's not like GTA San Andreas, where you'll have a bunch of mission development in an area - instead, GTA V has the player driving not especially interesting distances between each mission, and it's reducing of engagement. Maybe RS had fewer missions and tried to stretch out the playtime with this design. Whatever their reason, relying on such a tactic doesn't help the game, but makes it clear that a lack of design quality is present.

    GTA V is OK, the graphics are good - but RS hasn't employed as masterful a touch in this product as they did in GTA San Andreas, and some things in GTA V feel like RS were trying to hide recognition of that by using noisy distractions.

    I hope RS start earning their reputation again, rather than riding on it.    … Expand

    At first everything completely worked, and the immersion factor lived up to this legendary hype. Somewhere in the middle though, apathy began to set in. By the end, missions felt shallow, dialog grating, and the narrative flimsy. Rockstar proved themselves utter masters of transcendent city building at the expense of everything else.

    Wondering how many times I do a mission, take a constantly yapping passenger, to a location shoot someone and drive back before I realise “how all the missions are all the same”.
    In fact all in all it’s the same GTA just a different Roman numeral. But hands up, for whatever reason it’s still fun!
    What’s the point of manually swapping out characters, isn't far easier and better for the story continuum to do that for me?
    The story is OK, not great but certainly doesn't bore you to death. Some moments are absolutely hilarious, but only a few brief moments.
    I was impressed by blood splatters that stick with the car and with the scenic locations. The graphics are far better than previous versions, imagine Hare Krishna’s in glorious polygons?
    Of course, Great Graphics means high end machine, but that has always been a PC problem.
    Free Driving like a reckless lunatic and wondering if the police will ever show up? And then wondering if there is a parallel in the real world?
    Wondering why the inclusion of strip joins is a must, is it for the kids that shouldn't purchasing this game in the first place?
    Wondering is a video character painted black, allowed the same leniency as an actual black person using the N word?
    Why do they have to swear so much?

    So you know you are old when you actually like and recognise the songs on the radio.
    And dear younger gamers out there … one day it will happen to you.

    Well it's GTA, you get right into the action and shoot some ... well kinda everybody. There's alot of violence, "bad" language, humor and tons of vehicles.
    The story mode is sometimes weird to follow, but all the missions make up for it. Especially the heists are a great idea. If you are going for single player, go on and buy this game, it's great.

    So this game amazing id give it a 9/10 for when it was released for the 1st time. now i'm giving it a 7/10 because the charge you $59.99 USD AGAIN for THE SAME GAME. the only difference is First person and better graphics. is the game really worth $60 again for just 1st person no. is it worth $60 if you don't have the game hell yeah (if you get it for next gen)

    I really appreciate the time they took to make the PC version of this game robust. If not for that, I'd have hit this game with a lower rating. They did a great job making it run well. That said:

    The multiplayer is plagued with problems, a confused system of punishments for playing the game the way it's meant to be played, and not punishing users that harass each other, a gross lack of anti-cheat measures as bad as the DayZ mod, and a horrific grind to unlock anything in an effort to encourage you to spend even more money on in-game cash.

    However, cruising around the city, blowing up AI pedestrians with rocket launchers and causing general mayhem is as polished as ever. A good game to just fool around in.    … Expand

    PREMISE: I'm not playing online, with all the games with a good online multiplayer I find it a waste of time to play GTA online. So I bought it 100% for the single player.

    So, San Andreas was awesome, GTA IV was same (to me). This is not awesome, is just OK. - All missions looks the same after a while, even side ones (that are actually just a couple for each character) - Since the    PREMISE: I'm not playing online, with all the games with a good online multiplayer I find it a waste of time to play GTA online. So I bought it 100% for the single player.

    - All missions looks the same after a while, even side ones (that are actually just a couple for each character)
    - Since the very beginning you got your arsenal of weapons, if you die you dont even lose them (just $ 5000 fee at the hospital and there you go).
    - Never got cuffed by the police (not sure if you can actually I think they just shoot you down)
    - 3 characters looked extremely fun at the beginning, but then, if you think about it, you dont immerge in the game at all.
    - Kind of small map, especially if compared to San Andreas, you only got the city and the highlands, ant that's it.
    - Except for the ending, you cant really decide anything in this game.
    - I waited almost 48 hrs for it to download... kept having problems with a continuous download of 60 FREAKING GB of game slowing down your pc.

    Im not totally disappointed, I mean, the game is still fun as all GTA are. But I really can't say this game will remain in my personal game story.    … Expand

The user interface in menus is atrociously bad, and this is the first game in a decade that had the arrow keys bound to standard, frequently used bindings. Flight is a pain using the Numpad numbers for pitch and roll. When you quit the game, you have to hit escape, go into a separate tab, select exit, confirm you want to exit, and then confirm you want to exit again. The menu interface feels a lot like playing Skyrim without SkyUI, where you can tell there are problems in the port quality.

    Nevertheless, it is a fun and enjoyable game. It is worth the buy, even if it is *far* from the greatest game ever made.    … Expand

    The missions are a lot more cinematic, graphics are fantastic and the city seems so much more alive, though this is the hardest I think I've heard my GTX760 work since I bought it. Heh.

    Now... as I said, I caught myself looking for the money cheat pretty early. First because I was tired of Michael and Homey and second because after running the city outside of the story I realized that, despite all of the improvements, the graphics, the new functionality, the new cars and whatnot...despite all of it... IT WAS THE SAME GAME!!! All you can really do when not following the story is happy slap civilians, steal their cars and take their money.

    It's GTA: Return to San Andreas.

    Also, I'm from L.A. and the work they did on the city is excellent. It really feels like Los Angeles but the way they manage it is modelling parts of the city almost exactly, putting all the models in a box, shaking it, dumping it on the table and connecting them all as they fall. It's grating. You can't tell which direction you're going but you recognize all the landmarks. It really does get tiresome. If you're not from L.A. it's not a problem.

    Any score lower than 4 and higher than 7 is bs coming from anyone who's played the previous GTA installments (3 - San Andreas). Someone new to GTA should be thrilled but there shouldn't be anywhere near as many user-rated 10s.    … Expand

    Well, I really like GTA games. I also liked this one. But everyone says that it's a great game. I don't really see anything so great about this. There are many Open world games. Whatever, This is not even a bad game. It has a great amount of fun and good graphics. But it's story is a stupid. 7/10 for it.

    The single player game is more of the same with somewhat arbitrary mission failed bs. If you like this type of thing, great. Personally, I found Saints Row 3/4 much more forgiving, flexible, and fun in regard to mission structure. Obviously, ymmv.     All I can say is simply meh. It's not the best game I've ever played, not the worst. It's graphics look horrible on Ultra, it plays more or less fine, but it's just not an amazing game. The only reason I can see really reccomendin it is because it's *supposedly* 40 hours long and the soundtrack is good.

И это получается у игры. Ты начинаешь верить, что тебя ждёт что-то действительно масштабное, захватывающее. Игра ведь предлагает столько возможностей... Но потом ты раскрываешь эту конфетку, освобождаешь её от обертки, от прекрасного фантика и... обнаруживаешь абсолютную пустоту.
    Теперь подробнее.
    Поначалу игрок может быть введён в заблуждение большим "открытым" миром, в котором он волен делать, что хочешь. И пока ты считаешь, что самое интересное в плане сюжета впереди, эти занятия даже привлекают. Ты бегаешь по карте, изучаешь окрестности, любуешься пейзажами, сменой погоды; стреляешь, охотишься, дерёшься, карабкаешься на горы, спасаешь туристов, ловишь грабителей, угоняешь машины и занимаешься их тюнингом и т.п. В процессе всего этого, ты задумываешься, надеешься, если сейчас так классно, то дальше должно быть еще лучше. Потом обнаруживается, что всё, что ты делаешь лежит на поверхности. Ты не можешь углубиться дальше. Все ситуации однообразны. Быстро надоедают. Да они без сюжета, без выбора и не интересны. Они бесцельны. В игре ты действуешь строго на поверхности. Войти можешь только в стрип-клуб. Про гаражи, магазины одежды и оружия не говорю. Там ты только покупаешь что-то. Никаких событий. В остальные места, в которые ты можешь войти, ты входишь только во время выполнения сюжетных заданий. И строго ограничен в своих действиях, движениях даже. На улице ты не можешь войти в любой дом, квартиру, там сделать что-нибудь. Не можешь прятаться в доме от полиции и т.д. Не можешь даже зайти в здания, принадлежащие твоему бизнесу. С прохожими на улице взаимодействие ограничено двумя действиями - с большинством ты можешь подраться, ограбить и т.п., а некоторым помочь. Всё. Никаких сторонних заданий, интересных событий. Нет ощущения "жизни". Более того, ты видишь именно всю искусственность данного мира. А это обстоятельство не позволяет, не даёт тебе вжиться в героя, переживать вместе с ним.
    В принципе, когда есть хороший, интересный, захватывающий сюжет, это, вышеобозначенное, обстоятельство играет роль, но уже не такую большую. А сюжета в этой игре, как такового интересного, захватывающего нет. Есть основная, вполне предсказуемая, линия сюжета. Есть притянутые "за уши" события. И всё. Игроку не даётся никакого выбора; никаких моральных, сложных выборов. Всё строго линейно. Там же, где этот выбор игроку предлагается, последний за собой не имеет ни каких более менее серьёзных сюжетных последствий. Кто-то может поспорить и возразить, мол ты волен делать, что хочешь, но, повторю, во-первых, это всё однообразно, быстро надоедает и поверхностно. Во-вторых, как только ты приступаешь к выполнению сюжетных заданий, тебя вгоняют в рамки и навязчиво, безапелляционно предлагают разные события, в которых ты абсолютно не волен что-то выбирать.
    Еще игра пытается за счёт затрагивания переживаний героев сделать сюжет более глубоким. Но это делается настолько уж очень поверхностно, наиграно, не правдоподобно, а в отдельных моментах откровенно грубо, что глубины сюжету не добавляет. Попытки героев философствовать на извечные темы добра и зла скорее добавляют комичности. Хотя и звучат из уст героев некоторые интересные мысли.
    Там где нет хорошего сюжета, выручает интересный игровой процесс. Он в игре есть. Но не во всех её аспектах. Те моменты, в которых он выступает интересным, к сожалению, не многочисленны. И потом повторяемостью уже просто надоедают. Перестрелки не такие захватывающие, как в Far Cry, на мой взгляд, хотя весьма интересны. Но их не много, к сожалению.
    Погони, задания на авто: как и во всех играх от Рокстар, убегающие или твои спутники весьма реактивны. Их ТС развивают максимальную скорость просто со старта.
    Сюжетная линия довольно быстро заканчивается. А после её окончания, делать в игре нечего. Все занятия еще до её завершения успевают надоедать. А без какой-то более высокой, важной, глобальной цели эти занятия становятся заурядными и бессмысленными.
    Вот и получается, по сути игра не предлагает ничего нового. Она не способна увлечь на долгие дни. И быстро приедается. Все предложенное ей весьма поверхностно, а копнуть в глубину, обнаруживаешь там пустоту.    … Expand

I know I am in the extreme minority, but I wasn't at all impressed by this game, I mean in GTA 4 they removed some great features introduced in San Andreas, so what does Rockstar do for an encore? remove more features instead of introducing meaningful new ones...cripes, there are still buildings that cannot be entered...talk about a realistic game world! One of the things I really liked about San Andreas was the light hearted humour without being too brash, but still daring enough to be funny, where as GTA V is filled with characters and scenarios that are just plain depressing. Franklin is just a boring CJ 2.0 and Trevor has apparently been directly lifted from Kane & Lynch, not hard to figure out which one. You can call me cynical if you like, but for a game made in 2013, or even by Rockstar's own lofty standards, it is a pretty weak attempt of a game, sorely lacking in true innovation or particularly clever writing...it is just a lazy piece of software that depended on selling in droves purely by names sake.

    I still love GTA3-San Andreas

I only went to Paleto Bay 2 times for mission purpose), lame music (can't blame Rockstar though), lame content (although better than IV, you still get bored very fast), lame atmosphere (I feel disconnected to the game - it is like watching a movie instead of playing as the characters in the game world). Not to mention the game was so bug ridden upon release I had to wait until update 5 to be able to play the game without problems. The only good thing about this game is graphics, that's all. Don't say anything about Online. Even Online has no content. It has only heists and races.
    When is Rockstar going back to make era games? That's what made GTA VC and SA so good. You feel like you are in another world. In GTA IV and V they are both set in modern times, so they have lame stories (not about epic war between mafia and gangs but always about boring FIB and IAA) and lame atmosphere (game set in the world we are living in is just not ideal, it's like watching an animation movie).
    I am looking forward to another GTA set in the classic Hollywood era like 50s San Francisco depicted in Vertigo (1958).    … Expand

    As someone that didn't play the console version of gta 5 at all, for me its a solid 7/10.

    My personal gripes with the game for why I gave it that score: 1. The loading times in multiplayer are a constant annoyance. 2. The visuals are dated compared to a game like watch dogs and honestly they require way too much horsepower to run for the framerate to get as low as it does. Watch    As someone that didn't play the console version of gta 5 at all, for me its a solid 7/10.

    2. The visuals are dated compared to a game like watch dogs and honestly they require way too much horsepower to run for the framerate to get as low as it does. Watch dogs maxed out gets 80-100 fps maxed out, This game? I've seen it go as low as 25 on a gtx 980 in some areas.
    3. Heist missions online are very fun however replaying them isn't, as 90% of my time is worrying about other people doing their jobs correctly rather than actually enjoying the mission itself.
    4. First person mode was definitely overrated and I find myself constantly switching back to the 3rd person mode instead. It just doesn't feel fluid and even with the FoV setting maxed out it feels wonky and limiting, the weapon position itself feels off as well.
    5. The pc helicopter controls are as bad as gta 4. The design wasn't improved at all.
    6. Still way too many buildings that have no interiors. It really kills immersion for me in this world when 98% of the buildings and houses you see around you cannot be accessed. I was really hoping to be able to break into houses or something this time around to do robbery jobs or something like that but sadly that isn't an option at all. Would have been a great side-activity for online as well. The games world itself just feels too limited to the street which was the same problem GTA 4 had. You see all these great looking buildings and houses and can't access any of it.

    Maybe someone can do a mod that opens up some of these houses/buildings. I realize that its a lot of work doing interiors, especially interiors with multiple levels, but still it shouldn't have been THIS restricted like gta 4 was and they could have enhanced it further over gta 4 by adding some side-activity to go along with it like robbery jobs.    … Expand

    The support took looong to reply to my crashes, but was helpful and polite, once they did.
    Minor things that are annoying are the typical port issues. You cant change the keybinding for the controller. And you cant put healing items and body armor on hotkeys. You have to scroll through 3 menus to do that, which is a pain in the ass in the middle of a firefight. It also doesnt seem to memorize my weapon layout. Have to reset it every time I start the game...
    If it weren't for those issues, I'd easily rate this an 8. I had some hilarious moments in online mode. I had a blast stealing a jet from the military base and bringing it downtown to wreak havoc.
    The coop missions become repetitive after a while, but the heists are insanely good. I wish they had less missions, but done with the passion that they put into those heists. If you enjoyed previous GTA titles and always wanted an online mode thats actually playing its cards right, then this game might be exactly what you waited for. It's a gamble though, if it runs for you. No matter if you have a high end pc or not.    … Expand

    The game has been well ported from the consoles. The graphics look great and it runs well on most mid-range systems. The keyboard and mouse controls are clunky. Driving, flying and just moving in general are significantly better with a controller (which is well supported) but shooting with a mouse is profoundly easier. Consequently, you're better off chopping and changing between both control systems, which isn't ideal.

    The game takes the better part of 10 minutes to initially load on my system (i7, 16gb RAM, AMD 7970), which is fine if you're playing single player, as there is little to no loading during gameplay. However, GTA Online seems to have a new loading screen every other minute.

    GTA Online has its usual shenanigans which can eat up an hour or two if you're playing with friends. Playing with random players is pointless as more often than not they'll run you over half way through a mission 'for teh lulz'. On that note, turning off voice chat is recommended. And this is where the game really falls down. If you don't have at least 4 friends online to play with, then you're forced to play with randoms (Heists, for example, don't have a single player option and very few missions do, too). Hence, the Heists experience is 50% being trolled, 45% being frustrated and 5% shutting down GTA.

    Unless you have a bunch of friends to play with at all times, or you really, really love the GTA franchise or you just like trolling people - I wouldn't recommend GTA V.

    it was very unstable and messy at release, and I was unable to even start the game until april 16th. 2 days after the release. even this made me dismantle my chair, I quickly realized how great and beautiful the game is after playing. not the best story ever, but decent storylines, and awsome online mode where you can just play around with your friends.

    6.Where's the mini submarine, where's the scuba gear? I want to explore the ocean but I can't without the risk of drowning.

    7. 30 or 40 Foot waves would have been nice to see when's there's a storm.

    8. Big buildings that your unable to interact with like the brightly lit up Casino. I want to gamble away my "useless" millions of dollars.
    That's all I have for now. I'm content with the driving/damage physics. GTA V doesn't suck, it just seems to me like they either rushed it or they got lazy.

    Multiplayer is a total disaster, it might be good in the eyes of a console player.. but for a pc game it sucks.

    filled with long/buyggy load screens, lots of downtime waiting on other players, problem connecting to same session as your friends and the list goes on...

It was very playable when it first came out, now it's very choppy and everything looks as if its running in slow motion. The game also has this high maintenance launcher that is separate from the actual game that hogs memory while you play in the background. Closing their launcher causes the game to randomly crash within 20 minutes. You can not play the game without a Rockstar account either and the game is constantly connected to the internet. You would think a huge game (over 60 GB) like this wouldn't need to rely on internet so much. Speaking of online, GTA V's online mode is infected with numerous cheaters using mods and other hacks to ruin the experience for you and Rockstar won't even address it. I have no idea what these almost daily updates are doing because if anything they are downgrading the game. Rockstar actually wants you to buy fake in game money to use online called shark cards on top of its outrageous $60 price tag. They even tried to scam customers on Steam during the summer sale with these shark cards to disguise that their sale wasn't really a sale. This game is definitely not worth it, I would have gotten a refund if I didn't respect this company for it's better titles like Bully, GTA San Andreas, or Red Dead Redemption. I don't plan on buying anymore games from this company any longer except maybe a sequel to Bully or RDR. This is the score they deserve for their slacking. They're lucky I didn't give them a 0. Gameplay is heavy on the hand-holding, flying a plane with a keyboard is pretty stiff, use a controller for that if you have the option. Don't know what the point of letting the player customize the characters clothing or vehicles is, as during the story they're always wearing and driving whatever it is Rockstar wanted them to be at that time.     The Story is awesome. Rockstar has put so much detail in the world and graphics are great. Online on the other hand is mediocre. For a short time it makes ton of fun. But after the heists and some random carnage it gets extremely boring, there is just not much left to do. - plus you get some dates with one of those many hackers

Not only that we had to wait about two years before V came to PC, the texture quality didn't really change from current gen consoles.     I made a mistake by buying this game because of its marketing. The gameplay is frustrating, the missions aren't interesting and the only funny thing about this game is a little cartoon you can find there.
    other than that you'll get to explore and open world full of nothing. there are buildings that you cannot enter. people who you can't interact with and activities you don't want to do.     Franklin with the gun hidden on his back and that LOT of non sense talking before shooting already didn't made any sense and then he simply lets Trevor get back in the car? Just to start chasing him? Trevor didn't even had a gun in his car?
    And why would he call Michael first if he was going to do it anyways? Franklin himself says that Trevor is Michael's best friend and all, so wouldn't he think that Michael may not like the idea of he killing Trevor?
    Michael could just call Trevor and warn him up about it.
    I also think it should be more realistic in a lot of things, for example in that mission of hijacking the blitz with the masks on that you have to kill like all the police officers of the city, you just keep killing until they are all done and stop coming, then you just go away like nothing happened hahahaha    … Expand

    This game is good, beautiful graphics, epic characters, etc ... but in GTA Online, even worse because full Hackers / Modders (mod menu) / Cheaters as in The Division for PC.

The online aspect of the game would have been awesome if done right, but sadly feels like an arbitrary grind for cash and, ways of getting cash are limited and not very fun and the things you can buy for cash aren't really that rewarding anyway.     Grand Theft Auto is a real world action-adventure video game. It was developed by Rockstar games and published in September 17 2013. The designers are Leslie Benzies & Imran Sarwar. The game is available on Playstation 3, Playstation 4 , Xbox 360, and Xbox one. It is a little on the expensive side at $60.The game is multiplayer and you can play from an first or third person point of view.

    In the game you have missions you have to complete. You might have to rob a bank or steal a plane. All while running from the cops. The missions get harder as you go on. Outside of the missions you can roam the area freely. The game takes place in San Andreas open countryside and the fictional city of Los Santos. You can explore a vast area and while stealing cars,running over people and robbing banks.

    I was playing on an Xbox one. I am not an very experienced video game player so learning how to play was difficult. It took my awhile to learn how to drive a car. Once I got the basics the game was very fun. Riding in the helicopter was tricky but cool. My favorite part was that I was able to customize my player.

    Overall it is an interesting game. I would not recommend it for younger children. It might influence them in a bad way. It had foul language and not very good actions. Older children might like this a lot. It is on the expensive side but it is worth it.    … Expand

Franklin: A street thug that is tired of hustling and just wants to make millions and to get back with his ex girlfriend and move into his own home that he can call his own but can't seem to break free of his gang activity with his best friend Lamar who is constantly harrassing him on the account that he feels Franklin is abandoning his home turf crew.

    2. Michael: A straight out of the movies wannabe failure father who made his mark 10 years prior while faking his death during a routine bank robbery. A failure in the eyes of his wife and kids, Michael sets out on a journey to make millions on the account his anger got the best of him while finding out his wife was sleeping around and decided to pull a multi million dollar home off a mountain top. A man who is tired of sitting on his bleep rotting away meets Franklin and together rob and steal their way to stardom.

    3. Trevor: The new mascot of the series, Trevor is your every day Psychopath who is a drug dealer turned bank robber, He finds out his best friend Michael faked his death 10 years prior whle robbing a bank and seeks out the truth and in turn becomes wrapped up with making a fortune all while living in a trailer with cockroaches while he is also sitting on 200 grand lol.

    GTA V is a title you do not want to miss, gta v is best played on the PC platform as you get 60fps, Graphical upgrades, better resolution draw distances so on and so fourth.

    Somewhat weak story: Everyone will have their opinion but i feel GTA V lacked in it's story, it's your every day run and gun and that's about it. The story does have it's high points and also low points. It's high points are the heists while it's low points are finding deeper connections between the characters,

    Franklin: In my opinion Franklin was the most worthless character in v, all he did was complain and complain some more, always complaining about money even though he is living in a free house with a pool and sitting on top of money. All franklin cared about was money didn't care for michael or trevor only himself.

    All in all get this game it's a great game that i'm sure you will love, while the story can be a hit and miss there are some good missions and some good stories here and there with side missions that are sometimes better than the actual story itself.    … Expand

    It's entertaining and well produced, there are many different distince characters and settings, the world is very well designed and big.
    The mission design is rockstar like a bit "on rails" and you don't really have that much freedom.
    The story was good for a video game I think.
    They wasted a lot of potential on the online mode, but I still played it a lot.

But if you just get interested after heariing 'this Trevor is so twisted that watching him is a must for all fans of freaky weirdness' than no. Trevor is just another boring frustrated looser.

    Problem is , GTA has always been a focus on stories .
    It is accepted in this day and age to pay big amounts of money to obtain something virtually expensive and rare even .

    Online Mode shouldn't have been the focus but Rockstar knows where the money comes from so Singleplayer will rot and grow dust while till till this day as Online Mode becomes bigger .
    Online Mode is fun but it doesn't fit into the world of GTA .

    GTA is suppose to be a memorable story . An immersive single player world .

    Aside from that , Rockstar took YEARS to patch their long loading screens . Only to fix it when a modder attempted to decrease the time it took to load .
    The very basic loading screen wasn't fixed but Rockstar still pumped out new updates for Online Mode is a testimony for how Singleplayer gaming is dying .

    Rockstar thought it was a good idea putting A LOT more effort and work into Online Mode than Story Mode .

    Online Mode is fun and all but simply put it is Pay To Win and if you don't pay , you will grind .

    6 Stars at least because they have Story Mode which is decent .
    Story mode is not fun or entertaining . In fact it is 'ok.' It isn't bad but it isn't that great either .
    The start of the story is interesting but ends up being an uninteresting sluggish game .
    For a game that you have to download 90+ GBs it is overated in a sense .

    Could have and should have been a focus on purely Story Mode .
    Should have got the updates for Singleplayer Mode and the DLCs and etc .
    Could have been 9 stars easily if this was more of a focus on Singleplayer .
    And at least had a more amazing and memorable story .
    Online Mode is pay to win . Many people do talk about how toxic it is . Well , that is expected and it isn't something Rockstar can do much about . That is just how humans are at times it seems .
    But really it is ridiculous how they have shark cards where you can buy your way through the game .

    That is not to say that Online Mode is bad , it is fun with friends and all but Rockstar overdid it and left behind what made GTA .    … Expand

    We could not expect a better PC port PC for Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar North, offers right from day one a huge game in optimized, widely scalable, and high impact graphics and the video editor, although not so easy to use, is an enjoyable addition.
