The characters are just so poorly written- I know this is GTA it's supposed to shock to an extent, but this is just shear laziness. This is coming from a person who loves shows like South Park and the raw, controversial commentary it often delivers. I'm not offended by the fact that the game has radical new wave feminists running amok, or black gang members who are dumb as dirt and say **** every other word, or fat lazy rich white suburban white kids who whine and leach off their parents- It's the fact that these elements of the story have little or no purpose other than trying to shock. It's Rockstars's laziness that offends and irritates me. This game could have been a wonderful achievement, but the stupid characters and their stupid dialogue are injected into every facet of the game.

Also, yoga and torture mini games that take up entire missions. No thanks.

I feel like Rockstar could have done a little more innovation. Rockstar is a company capable of producing high quality, unique games. GTA V was a rehash of the company's old efforts in new packaging. The only difference in GTA V is the ability to play from 3 different main characters. There really is no "main" character, which is not a bad thing.

All in all, GTA V is a good game with not very unique gameplay. It's more of the same that Rockstar has produced before, but it's still fun and offers many moments of enjoyment.

Hard freezes, bsods, and garbage crossfire support. The same kind of issues that gta 4 had bring down a great game to a mediocre port. Voice acting is great but the characters leave a lot to be desired. Side activities are numerous but not much fun.

I really appreciate the time they took to make the PC version of this game robust. If not for that, I'd have hit this game with a lower rating. They did a great job making it run well. That said:

If you've played GTAIV, there's virtually no reason to buy this game. It's pretty much the same schtick, with the main difference between different characters which are completely unlikeable unlike previous ones, and a new storyline, which is 50 shades of grey fan fiction terrible.

The multiplayer is plagued with problems, a confused system of punishments for playing the game the way it's meant to be played, and not punishing users that harass each other, a gross lack of anti-cheat measures as bad as the DayZ mod, and a horrific grind to unlock anything in an effort to encourage you to spend even more money on in-game cash.

However, cruising around the city, blowing up AI pedestrians with rocket launchers and causing general mayhem is as polished as ever. A good game to just fool around in.

SP is pretty good. There aren't many missions and they aren't dificult, but it's pretty good. It also has very good looking visuals. I would rate SP a solid 8/10.

The game is very well optimized for PC, there are options for everything you can wish for and the controls are great. I've never seen such a good console port and a game that is technically so close to perfection. The graphics are stunning and I get 60 FPS on a high-mid range PC.

The story shows in an entertaining and satirical way how f*cked up the U.S. intelligence services are. Switching between the main characters offers a nice change of pace. There are also a lot of side quests, some with their own story and some generic, but all fun.
GTA Online offers just as much content as the single player. Coop missions, races, PvP, side activities and now also heists, which are awesome if you can find a good team.

    ---

It's a pity you can't choose your own car for the story, as the default cars are very unspectacular. You can of course use another one, but you risk losing it during the missions, along with all upgrades - even if it was stored in the garage.
The other thing that distracted me a few times is the weapon selection: Hot keys don't make sense, because instead of equipping the selected weapon, they cycle to the next weapon and equip that. Your weapon choices also aren't saved properly.

GTA Online sometimes has connection issues and doesn't have any kind of cheat protection. Heists were a great addition, but unfortunately only the host can progress his heist quest. Rockstar Social Club is pretty bad all around (UI flaws, not enough server resources, lack of functionality).

Sadly, the game also has DRM which forces you to go online every so often.

    ===

Overall GTA 5 is an outstanding game that sets the bar higher for the quality of all future games in most categories.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. What a wasted opportunity.

First - The open world sandbox aspect is amazing. So much potential, tons of cool stuff to that. So many things you can do and interact with. Biggest positive of the game and it's a great one.

However, the plot goes to crap pretty quickly. They introduce a raging sociopath that everyone should have just shot in the back of the head in the first scene but, inexplicably, doesn't. They've got this unskippable torture scene, where you've got an interactive min-game torturing someone. Every other mission in the game can be skipped save that one, because... I dunno, some sort of faux moralizaing? It is also 100% pointless to the story. Does nothing, accomplishes nothing, nobody talks about it again, it's irrelevant save from trying to create 'shock' value. The whole SP campaign just gets worse from there. Not in terms of being 'too violent'. It's not about violence, just weak story revolving around everyone being total idiots and one guy being super insane unstoppable/unquestionable Mary Sue Kill Anyone While Being Indestructible nutbar *that you have to play*. It's like being forced to play some My Little Pony right in the middle of a GTA game. Jarring, out of place and stupid.

Online is broken. Full of hacks and cheaters. Only the most meager attempt to deal with it. Heists are alright if you've got friends to play it with regularly but everything else about online is pretty completely broken.

Crazy shoddy business practices. Games on Steam, right? So right before the Steam Summer Sale they jack the price up from $60 to $80, then say it's *on sale* for $60, throwing in a pretend money card (fake money you can only use online) to say it's a 'deal'. You can't buy the game otherwise. Oh, and if you did buy it? NON REFUNDABLE BECAUSE THEY GAVE YOU PRETEND MONEY.

Borked online, lying BS during steam summer sale and the most shallow SP experience of the series. Painful as it's set against the best open world environment Rockstar has ever done.

Get Skyrim and Payday 2 instead. Better open world in Skyrim and Payday 2 is 10x better for online heists.

Depressing showing by Rockstar. End of the day, it was a complete sellout, trading 'meaningless shock value' for rich characters and dishonest business practices for a good product worth the money.

The storyline is weak and is the same formula Rockstar uses for all of their GTA games. Bully remains my favorite game from them because it's actually unique and entertaining. I could care less about how good their obnoxious graphics look, I want a game with a captivating story & good performance. Rockstar constantly sends out updates through Steam which only seems to make gameplay worse. It was very playable when it first came out, now it's very choppy and everything looks as if its running in slow motion. The game also has this high maintenance launcher that is separate from the actual game that hogs memory while you play in the background. Closing their launcher causes the game to randomly crash within 20 minutes. You can not play the game without a Rockstar account either and the game is constantly connected to the internet. You would think a huge game (over 60 GB) like this wouldn't need to rely on internet so much. Speaking of online, GTA V's online mode is infected with numerous cheaters using mods and other hacks to ruin the experience for you and Rockstar won't even address it. I have no idea what these almost daily updates are doing because if anything they are downgrading the game. Rockstar actually wants you to buy fake in game money to use online called shark cards on top of its outrageous $60 price tag. They even tried to scam customers on Steam during the summer sale with these shark cards to disguise that their sale wasn't really a sale. This game is definitely not worth it, I would have gotten a refund if I didn't respect this company for it's better titles like Bully, GTA San Andreas, or Red Dead Redemption. I don't plan on buying anymore games from this company any longer except maybe a sequel to Bully or RDR. This is the score they deserve for their slacking. They're lucky I didn't give them a 0. This game is only good to fanboys and graphic whores. Expand

This is not awesome, is just OK.

    - All missions looks the same after a while, even side ones (that are actually just a couple for each character)
    - Since the very beginning you got your arsenal of weapons, if you die you dont even lose them (just $ 5000 fee at the hospital and there you go).
    - Never got cuffed by the police (not sure if you can actually I think they just shoot you down)
    - 3 characters looked extremely fun at the beginning, but then, if you think about it, you dont immerge in the game at all.
    - Kind of small map, especially if compared to San Andreas, you only got the city and the highlands, ant that's it.
    - Except for the ending, you cant really decide anything in this game.
    - I waited almost 48 hrs for it to download... kept having problems with a continuous download of 60 FREAKING GB of game slowing down your pc.

Im not totally disappointed, I mean, the game is still fun as all GTA are. But I really can't say this game will remain in my personal game story.

    2. Driving at a very high rate of speed makes pedestrians disappear. (possible console limitations)
    3. Police helicopters re spawn too quickly making an on-foot shootout unlikable and frustrating.
    4. No military intervention. Bring back 6 stars
    5. The Train can't be stolen although there's a mission where your able to hijack and control it WTF. That's a step back from san andreas.
6.Where's the mini submarine, where's the scuba gear? I want to explore the ocean but I can't without the risk of drowning.

    7. 30 or 40 Foot waves would have been nice to see when's there's a storm.

    8. Big buildings that your unable to interact with like the brightly lit up Casino. I want to gamble away my "useless" millions of dollars.
That's all I have for now. I'm content with the driving/damage physics. GTA V doesn't suck, it just seems to me like they either rushed it or they got lazy.
Everything in my list I would have expected to be in this game that cost 265 million to make.

Unfortunately the missions and side jobs really aren't that interesting. The setting is a generic southwest U.S. city that doesn't feel original at all. The missions were repetitive with the exception of the heists which were really well done. I just wish they had more flavor and uniqueness in their missions like they did with Bully all those years ago. But despite these problems I still enjoyed most of my time with GTA singleplayer.

However, GTA online is a totally different story. It's a wannabe MMO that fails in every single regard. The grind is ridiculous, the load times are near endless, and the connection problems are continuous. When i've tried to join GTA online more times than not i've been thrown into a German or Russian server even though i'm in the middle of the U.S. There are hackers in probably 50% of the servers as well. But worst of all is that the large majority of the missions are just flat out boring. You'll finish most of the stuff within 10 hours and only be at about level 15. The rest of the game will be a grind of playing the same stuff over and over again. The only decent part of online is the heists, which you better have 3 other friends to play with because finding a game with 3 randoms is a nightmare nobody should experience. Talk about trying to form for 20 minutes only to get in game and have someone die, then try a couple more times with people dying for one reason or another, then somebody decides to just leave the game and you're thrown back to forming up again. You've wasted over an hour of your time and haven't even done anything. And to top it off when you actually finish a heist finale you'll be rewarded with around 2,000 RP (experience). You can get 1,000 RP in 4 minutes by finishing the quickest race by yourself. It's not balanced at all and you get better rewards for doing the same thing over and over again rather than tackling the hardest missions in the game. Bottomline is GTA online is an abomination.

The original download for it took 4 days. When it is downloading/patching your internet will be completely incapacitated, I could barely open a browser page. This has not ever been the case with any other downloads. After it was downloaded rockstars social club messed up and kept getting an error, this error took my own work in the files, uninstalling, reinstalling, repairing. Probably 3 hours of work to get it to run. After I did get it to run I thought it was pretty awesome, graphics looked great and ran at 60+ fps. For about 5 minutes, it was worth it. Then I started crashing. I have not been able to play this for longer then 10 minutes without it crashing, and to get it to work I have to edit about 20 files in the games directory. This poor rating isn't as much for the game as it is for Rockstars horrible work on this PC version. These issues haven't just been me, they've been flooding the forums, and they haven't even addressed it at all besides to tell you to uninstall/reinstall the game(which doesn't work) I would definitely hold off on this game for a few months, there's a very good chance you won't be able to play it until then anyway. With huge content and top notch optimization, GTA V is the best game on PC atm! The graphics looks great, there are a s#it load of graphical options, to customize the graphics for your liking! The story is average, but long. Only negative in the game is that R* fighting against mods, latest patch disabled them all.

    Worth the wait!
In this era of poor quality ports, it's refreshing to get something on PC that has had a lot of work put into it to let the advantages of PC gaming shine. The game looks spectacular, playing at 65fps @ 2560x1440 everything maxed (except grass & AA), it almost looks photorealistic at times. At least the city, environment, and cars. The people still look like rubber. Edit:

Gameplay is a blast. I've put in over 100 hours - on single player. And still haven't finished. I've been taking my time, exploring, enjoying the activities and adventures. The level of detail, quality of models and textures, care put in, is all amazing. Take Dying Light as a comparison -- there are about 4 different building types, and about 10 different objects inside buildings, all looking the same (chest, basket, drawer, closet, first aid cabinet.) Still a fun game, but in GTA V I don't see models and texture being reused over and over. The massive, sprawling world is full of unique little nooks and crannies.
The Online portion is fun, but sessions are often ruined by hackers. It's best to just play with friends. It loads painfully slow (on my SSD no less), and starting heists, the best activity, can be difficult and time consuming to get people invited and successfully started. Same with the random jobs. Even if you get someone to join you, it loads painfully slow, and if they glitch out, you bomb back to Freemode with yet another long load time. Sadly it seems most people in Freemode are just running around death matching.
I didn't buy it for the online, but I consider it a huge bonus. At its best, GTA V Online, doing heists with competent friends WITH MICROPHONES, can be a totally wild gaming experience. Unfortunately only about 10% of people seem to have microphones, and they are crucial for coordination. Not to mention the goobs who bail halfway through a heist and bomb you back to Freemode. At its worst, GTA V Online is still somewhat entertaining; driving around and shooting at people and ramming them.

Although the game did not quite live up to its hype, it did provide me with a great deal of entertainment. Excellent writing, superb voice acting, and wonderful game mechanics are marred only by the mundane things that the game sets before the player. Who wants to drive through traffic in a car once you have driven about in a tank? Nevertheless, it is an A- game is still well worth playing.

    Almost...

After those 35 hours I decided to take a small break.
To my big surprise I'm still on that break and I'm not even slightly tempted to go back.
Initially I loved the game. After first ~15 hrs it felt like 10/10. Graphics were great, optimization amazing, fun gameplay and I loved implementation of 1st person perspective.

The more I played the more flaws I saw. I liked the characters at first but as the story continues I realized how little personality they have. Franklin earns some money, moves to a fancy house and then his story pretty much ends. Michael has several problems with his family which leads to a bunch of different missions. The problem is - his family is quite horrible, I hated his wife and stupid kids. I get it - he loves them and wants to help them, but I couldn't care less about these characters, which made all those missions extra boring.
Trevor felt like the most interesting character out of those 3. But then we witness him doing something awfully stupid. One good thing - his missions are most fun, lots of versatility, creativity.

Overall there are too many missions that simply aren't very interesting. All the set-up missions for heists are terrible. I'd like to see more missions that include flying as well.

    Side activities.
There are plenty and that's it. Shooting range was fun, I enjoyed hunting and... that's it. You don't get any decent rewards for them and they are not fun enough to just keep doing them.

You can buy some busineses. They cost plenty, award you with some crapy mini-missions and give you lousy income. Basically, they're a waste of time.

Earning money is difficult outside of main missions, but on the other hand there's nothing to spend it on. Forget about buying houses (not worth it) or cars (you will be stuck with personal vehicles anyway), so after you buy some guns and upgrades for personal vehicles, you're done.

Walking around and exploring works for a while then it gets old. There's only a few "random" encounters, you won't find any cool hidden items. Best thing I found was a bunch of topless ladies near some pool, behind a fancy house.

There's plenty of things to do in GTA 5, but only very few of them I found entertaining and actually worth doing. The main story and characters are in my opinion significantly worse than in previous GTA games.
Overrated game but still can be enjoyable for a while. Get it when it goes on a sale.

PS: I didn't like the Online mode at all.

The sad part is that the PC edition comes so late. They tried, and the game looks pretty, but controls on the planes and helicopters are much less intuitive and stink of a console port. Cars at least drive well with a keyboard, mouse. The worst console port mistake they made is putting the "special ability" key right next to the gun-swap button when a single tap changes you to unarmed. Great way to end a rampage. (sarcasm)
My next biggest complaint is how stripped down the world seems outside of missions compared to previous games in the franchise. I know that is because they are trying to funnel people to the online heist mode. I know this is their big focus because the most recent 0.5 gig patch made the base game run slightly worse and looking at the patch notes, it was all new stuff for the online mode.

Then if you are feeling up to it, you can even change your make up, hair style, literally everything.
The races are fully customizable, to however you want them, weather, cops, own vehicles or basic vehicles.

There are events , like the $10,000,000 challenge if you complete all heists with the same team without dying once, you all receive $10,000,000.

Some of the downsides include connectivity issues, there is a lot of loading, and sometimes you can load for 5 minutes and then get disconnected, or if you attempt to join a heist, and it's full, you have to wait a few minutes of loading. therefor, I say do your best to not mess up the mission when you are in one, because if you mess up, means more loading time, and it gets annoying.

Also hackers, Rockstar seems to be on the ball with banning them, but there is a lot of them, only yesterday a guy was blowing things up, and everything he blew up, turned into money bags, was quite funny, but the day before, someone got angry at me and repeatedly killed me, I tried to kill her, but I did 0 damage, she even ran towards me unarmed as I shot her, and nothing happened, and she killed me with her fists, it was funny, but at the same time, very unfair.

GTA V is the worst game in the series along with IV, but with different reasons. V has lame story, lame ending (after completing the story I wonder what the story was about?), lame character design (do you remember who the characters are, other than the 3 protagonists? I don't, and I just beat the game last week), far too low difficulty (just try again if you failed), lame map design (there are only 2 parts: one part consist of the city, another part are hills, desert and a bay. I only went to Paleto Bay 2 times for mission purpose), lame music (can't blame Rockstar though), lame content (although better than IV, you still get bored very fast), lame atmosphere (I feel disconnected to the game - it is like watching a movie instead of playing as the characters in the game world). Not to mention the game was so bug ridden upon release I had to wait until update 5 to be able to play the game without problems. The only good thing about this game is graphics, that's all. Don't say anything about Online. Even Online has no content. It has only heists and races.
When is Rockstar going back to make era games? That's what made GTA VC and SA so good. You feel like you are in another world. In GTA IV and V they are both set in modern times, so they have lame stories (not about epic war between mafia and gangs but always about boring FIB and IAA) and lame atmosphere (game set in the world we are living in is just not ideal, it's like watching an animation movie).
I am looking forward to another GTA set in the classic Hollywood era like 50s San Francisco depicted in Vertigo (1958).

-the gameplay is way difrent than any gta game. not in the sense i mean you still run around and shoot stuff but the health system is much more realistic which forces you to think before you act (unlike in GTA 4)
-the story is absolutely hilarious. it is comedy and tragedy in a nice mix.
    - the map is not locked so you can go where ever the hell you want right from the start.
    Cons:
    - even though its a pro this can sometimes be a con and that is the realism. if you expect gta 4 level of badass like niko belic just dont bother its very realistic and that can put some people off but not me.

Overall it has its issues and some bugs but other than that a great game from a great company

A really good third person open world game in 2015, there is endless fun to be had and it is most certainly a memorable experience. I just don't understand why the critics rate it as high as that of HALF LIFE 2!

    1. Vehicles and Bicycles decelerate unrealistically.

That's a step back from san andreas

I want to gamble away my "useless" millions of dollars

One of the things I really liked about San Andreas was the light hearted humour without being too brash, but still daring enough to be funny, where as GTA V is filled with characters and scenarios that are just plain depressing. Franklin is just a boring CJ 2.0 and Trevor has apparently been directly lifted from Kane & Lynch, not hard to figure out which one. You can call me cynical if you like, but for a game made in 2013, or even by Rockstar's own lofty standards, it is a pretty weak attempt of a game, sorely lacking in true innovation or particularly clever writing...it is just a lazy piece of software that depended on selling in droves purely by names sake.

This is a game where you might find yourself just sitting in your car, listening to the great radio stations for an hour or two, or just driving around in the country side, climbing a mountain or hiking a trail, or having fun in director mode...or of course...follow the story :) The realism of this game, most of the time, is just mind blowing.
I am running this on my i7 system with a GTX970 at very high settings and the game is smooth as it can get. I haven't had one single crash. One of the games where it's evident they really wanted to make a good version for PC and not just a halfa$$ port.
I don't have too much to complain about this game, in fact I once stated this is probably the most impressive and possibly "the best" game of all times. And this should mean something. The only issue I have is that the scope of the game is just massive (aka: too much too see and to do.. :) and that getting through the story does not feel as "connected" as in previous GTA titles and you're sometimes stumbling not knowing what to do next...unless you then check the map to see where you can go to continue with the story. I had the impression that with former titles, getting through the story felt more "guided", while the scope/size of this game is just so big you can lose track on occasion. But maybe that's just me.
Ultimately, I'd say that this game ALONE would be worth it someone buying or building a high-end PC. Most negative reviews I am seeing don't make any sense.

    * always on DRM
    * server problems for the first few days after the release. Playing was not possible for many players
    * multiplayer uses peer to peer technology, which sucks for online gaming
    * constant connection problems when starting multiplayer (connection timed out)
    * when the connection fails, instead of retrying it puts you in single player every **** time
    * disconnects, lag
    * sometimes savegames are corrupted, both in single player and online. The support doesn't care how many hours you put into the game, it's your problem. They already have your money, so go **** yourself
    * terrible, terrible support who barely speak english, simply ignore your support request and give their copy/paste answers
    * crash/freeze bugs
    * very long loading times in online sessions
    * heists are a great concept, but the implementation sucks. It's almost impossible to find a team, because you only progress when you are the host. So everyone hosts, but noone joins
    * can't skip cut scenes in heists. They can take up several minutes. It's nice the first time, but when the team wants to skip it **** let them
    * the game forgets your weapon choices (amongst other things) and there's no way to quickly select your favorite weapon. Pressing the quick select button toggles to the next weapon in that category instead of selecting the currently chosen weapon. Absolutely silly.
    * online races are abysmal, especially with the lag. It's a battle of who manages to escape the mass collisions and there's little to no skill involved

The game could easily be 10/10, but with all these issues, especially in the multiplayer part, 8/10 is being generous.

What is the damn point then anymore if you start with that kinda amount of cash??? Surely the interest in playing gta was always the slow progression. You start from nothing and slowly get new stuff so that there is some point in the game. But no, now we give you everything and it's instead just some mindless running around game for casuals. The best tweaking options ever. My 2-year old PC (about PS4-level) ran GTA4 at 15-25 FPS, but GTA5 runs at 30-45 FPS despite higher resolution and intenser graphical settings. I would've liked an explanation of each buzzword (instead of just VRAM cost, which doesn't perfectly translate to FPS). My recommendation: turn off MSAA, turn down Post-Processing, but leave Shadows on "very high" (so moving headlights will cast shadows) and Grass on "high" (for foliage immersion).

    PRESENTATION: 10
(Story - 9): Dialogue and characterization is so excellent it encourages progression even during simple taxi missions. Mike and Trevor are equally psychotic, but Mike feels guilty and Trevor hates that hypocrisy, an interaction paralleled by the Franklin-Lamar relationship. Franklin will compromise his morals for money. Trevor's in it for fun (nothing the player can do as him is "out of character"), and might snap and kill Mike at any time. It's great. My only quibble is how the GTA4:TLAD characters are treated.
(Graphics - 10): Numbers changes used to designate engine changes, but GTA5 is GTA4 with tweaks. The level of detail is amazing, with thousands of little touches: roof lights when you enter cars, gorgeous sunsets, how distant lights halo out at night, smoke/dust effects, etc. Shifting reflections on your car hood and moving shadows do more to create a sense of speed when driving than any motion blur could.
(Physics - 9): The Euphoria engine that procedurally blends animations with ragdoll physics (for humans and animals) makes for glorious car crashes and shootouts. I love how enemies can ragdoll and still get back up, so you have to confirm kills.
(Audio - 7): Good music, probably not at GTA:VC or GTA:SA level.
(Force Feedback - 7): You feel things like the rough of a freeway, but less in 3rd- than 1st-person view, and I prefer more frequent rumbling.

    CONTROL - 9
It's seamless, loading only on starting. 1st-person view on foot is recommended, 3rd when driving, and it remembers each preference separately. The interface is clean and functional, and time slows when you switch weapons or change radio stations. The game auto-detects when a controller is connected and accepts either input.
GTA is built on open-world driving and shooting. The new element is shifting between the three characters at will. In one mission, one was flying a helicopter, another shooting out the back of it, and the third sniping from a nearby roof, all working in concert to avoid and take out chasing copters. Each character has a special ability, like slowing time or invincibility. Friendly AI is amazing; it can competently shoot AND drive (eat your heart out, Halo), to the point where, on one stealth mission with sniper cover, I kept switching and yelling "no, let ME do the fun stuff" at whichever AI I wasn't controlling.
(Shooting - 7): Shooting is good, especially in first-person. I miss visible gas tank covers on cars from GTA:SA (you can still aim near the left rear wheel, but you have to guess). The worst part is that, unlike GTA4, NPC's now drive off when you aim at them. In GTA4 you could threaten a driver out of a car, which was better gameplay than just pressing a carjack button; now, even if you shoot them, they slump on the gas pedal and drive off.
(Driving - 10): Vehicle physics have improved massively from GTA4. GTA4 cars felt slow, ruining what had been the best vehicular "feel" in all of videogames. Driving is now at the GTA 3/VC/SA/MidnightClubStreetRacing perfection level. You can do donuts again. Flight controls are similarly great, the equal of GTA:SA's, but now with wind buffeting your copters/planes. Parachuting works great and I liked the bullseye-landings side missions.
Due to the constant rolling 3D waves, the water physics are now the best in any videogame (including Wave Race and AC4:Black Flag). Whereas Ubisoft claims it couldn't put online sailing multiplayer in any of the three Assassins Creed sailing games (3, 4 and Rogue) because it was "too hard" to standardize their water physics, Rockstar's GTA5 supports 8-player jetski races with the full 3D rolling waves and seaspray.
(Melee - 3): Fistfighting is not improved, disappointing given how common it is. You can only attack or dodge-then-counterattack, and sadly the physics engine doesn't differentiate one fistfight from another.

    DESIGN - 8
You can replay missions (including most side missions) from a menu, and time of day autoshifts forward where appropriate on triggering a mission, but for some reason neither statement applies to street races. Sadly, every mission design has been repeated from past GTA's.
GTA:Online Races and Deathmatches work fine, but Heists never will because they aggravatingly fail whenever any player dies. But singleplayer is huge (40+ hours) and well worth it alone.

I feel blessed. in technical view, you don't feel like your playing a game from last gen. It's completely polished and feels like it's been built from the scratch for PC. The game is fluid and I didn't face any problem despite my modest hardware. Controlls are responsive and gameplay is really fun and engaging. The whole Los Santos and Blaine County look absolutely gorgeous. The story and the characters are really compelling and I fell in love with every aspect within the first few minutes. GTA V is an actual parody of the current state of the world with a focus on the U.S. and how corrupt the authorities are. I disagree with those who say it is sexist or racist or transphobic or homophobic. It deals with such issues in one of the greatest ways I have seen in a game and I'm a gaymer myself. The criticism of Hollywood and celebrity culture that is plaguing the world these days was really apropos. Every dialog had a meaning and was important to the plot. The satirical humor was mind-blowing. Grand Theft Auto 5 is a true masterpiece and a must-have for any gamer. That's why I'm giving it a perfect 10/10 score. Expand

Great game, terrible Social Club. Cannot play at all since last patch, support is non-existent, if you have an ATI...well, good luck! And worst of all you'll need to MANUALLY download each patch from other(unofficial) sites because launcher does not work...even to play OFFLINE. This ''Rockstar launcher'' is pure garbage, programmed by a monkey or something.
And btw the game itself gets

The best game in 2014 but not so good on PC. The graphics is not such good as we can expect. Low traffic on streets. Nothing new ( Why so long development under PC platform?!

A lot has already been said about this game, so let me keep this short:

This is as close to perfection as gaming gets - this is a masterpiece in terms of how much attention was given to details. This game does not deserve anything lower than 9/10, and I'm shocked by how much bad things to say people can find in a really, REALLY good game. I guess **** about whatever the majority of

The ultimate open-world game is back. GTA IV was a step back in some aspects, but GTA V returns the series to it's former glory. While the game world may not be as diverse as San Andreas', it's still a lot more interesting than GTA IV's Liberty City. Exploration is almost impossible to resist and you'll find yourself just driving around the world doing random activities between missions, or just seeing what distractions this version of San Andreas has to offer. The missions are fun, the different playable characters keep things interesting, and the graphics, while not mind blowing, are a big step up from GTA IV. Performance-wise, if you have even a half-decent graphics card and a CPU that can run modern games then you'll be playing at 60 FPS easily. I'd even go as far to say that this is the best PC port this generation. Just a word of warning, you're going to at least need 1 gigs of VRAM to just play the game. Anything less will simply not be enough, and at the time of writing there is a memory leak issue, so make sure you have at least 6 gigs of RAM and have your page file enabled (if you don't you're going to run into constant crashes). Other than that the game runs fine. Expand

Very good PC version of a very good game. Worth an 8.5/10. Story is good, gameplay is fun, and it runs smoothly. Graphics and animations are extremely good, except for the human characters which are too stiff/plastic. The online version is a great addition for those who have completed the single player.

If you hadn’t had a chance to play it yet at all though, and your computer can handle it, the PC version does definitely feel like the definitive version.

Rockstar promised that the PC edition of GTA V would be the best way to experience this breathtaking game, and that’s exactly what it is. [06/2015, p.48]

We could not expect a better PC port PC for Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar North, offers right from day one a huge game in optimized, widely scalable, and high impact graphics and the video editor, although not so easy to use, is an enjoyable addition.
