At first everything completely worked, and the immersion factor lived up to this legendary hype. Somewhere in the middle though, apathy began to set in. By the end, missions felt shallow, dialog grating, and the narrative flimsy. Rockstar proved themselves utter masters of transcendent city building at the expense of everything else.

It's a great game. Fantastic story, great graphics, huge map, a bundle of fun. Ignore the usual idiots that do not understand the concept of a review or rating, these people would claim it's a perfect game except one little thing and all of a sudden the rating switches from a 10 to a 0.

Great game overall. Definitely better than any of the other Grand Theft Autos. The only big thing i would complain about is the driving. It has gottan ridiculously unrealistic. Too arcadeish for me.

I'm an old gamer that loved the serie of GTA since its beggining, tho, we all got admit its decline: since San Andreas, Rockstar has been unable to make an entertaining game in the long run: yes, this game becomes boring after a while, as the previous one.

If the online part is fixed, best game of 2015 already on PC.

it was very unstable and messy at release, and I was unable to even start the game until april 16th. 2 days after the release. even this made me dismantle my chair, I quickly realized how great and beautiful the game is after playing. not the best story ever, but decent storylines, and awsome online mode where you can just play around with your friends.

Fun game unfortunately ridiculed with bugs and performance issues, completed the single player on a high end rig and I can't count the number of times the game crashed.

Online at the moment is chaos, whilst it has plenty of fun activities and heists, there is a good amount of lag, frame rate drops and couple that with the loading times and matchmaking makes this game a real annoyance,

I'm giving it a 7 because despite the bugs, I actually enjoyed this game and occasionally enjoy the online, it is however unfair to give it a rating any higher.

Firstly, im a huge GTA fan.. Been playing non-stop since GTA 3, easily my favourite franchise of all time and Grand Theft Auto V didn't disappoint me in anything.

The world is huge, everything feels right, the physics, the animations, the graphics, the detail, the sounds.. Every little bit feels in the right place.

The characters are quite unique and have their own story that the game tells you in a great way, the transictionbetween every character is flawless and innovative.

The missions are extremely good, an easy 10, they're not rage inducing, they're extremely well designed, they barely have any flaws and the dialogue in missions is like it always was in GTA.. Amazing and mostly sarcastic funny.

The story is probably the best in the franchise, with a decent ammount of choices and lot of explanation given so you don't miss any detail.

The guns feel good, the world feels alive, the cars feel real, the NPC's feel alive and not for one second this game felt nothing less than a true masterpiece.. Easily the game of the century.

An easy 10/10.. Probably one of my few 10/10.. Probably the first one since GTA San Andreas. (And that tells you something)

About the PC Port.. Ye, it's simply quite amazing, the definite version of GTA V is on PC, either 60fps or 30fps, it won't matter.. The game is good both ways, it scales extremely well and has almost no issues. (Some small issues like some stuttering at the most) This game will also run in almost any PC, be it a cheap laptop or a old pc with a dual-core and a 9800gt or even a 5670.

I played at 1080p on a 560ti.. You can easily achieve 60fps in a 560ti at 1080.. That's how well optimized the game is.. At medium settings btw.

I am absolutely blown away by GTAV. This is seriously the worst GTA game I've ever played. I waited some 18 months for a PC release for this piece of garbage? They shouldn't call it Grand Theft Auto. They should call it Grand PURCHASE Auto.

If you want to read about the positives to GTAV please see one of the cheerleading gaming "journalism" reviews of it that completely ignore its flaws. Here I'm going to point out those flaws.

    1) GTAV expects you to purchase everything with in-game money. Don't have enough in-game money? Rockstar will be happy to sell you some for real money! You seriously cannot just go up to a good or government vehicle and steal it in a game called Grand Theft Auto. Rockstar will not allow you to store it in your garage. You must purchase it. Yes, you must purchase cars in a game called Grand Theft Auto in which focuses on criminal activity. Have the developers ever even played a GTA game before? Hell, you have to purchase tanks too. You cannot simply steal one. That used to be a huge accomplishment in previous titles. It's impossible here.

    2) The online portion is progression-gated. When you start out the city is a literal ghost town and you're expected to do the same races OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. Then the game gradually unlocks new events. You'll need to repeat them each a hundred times in order to accumulate the RP necessary to rank up. As you rank up things start spawning in the city that should have been there from the beginning and actually appear commonly in the single player mode. Go to the airport in online mode and note the complete and total absence of planes at the AIRPORT. You have to rank up just to make a handful of them appear. Ranking will take years if you're someone with a job. It's clearly designed specifically for the no-lifers or children who need to be treated like donkeys chasing carrots on a stick.

    3) Excessive realism comes at the cost of fun. Did you know you have to buy car insurance in this game in multiplayer? Planes don't come with parachutes. Want to steal something from the military base in single player -- not going to happen! Have fun shopping for real estate to buy or spending hundreds of thousands of in-game dollars on businesses that pay you only 1% of what you spent on them maybe once a real life week.

    4) Rockstar is very mod-unfriendly. They will ban you from the game you purchased without refund even if you're trying to privately have fun with your friends. They make zero attempt to distinguish between people screwing around amongst themselves and those maliciously ruining the experience for others. Can't spend a couple hundred thousand or a couple million in fair cheat-detection, Rockstar? Spent your billions already? This is beyond sad. The community is continuing to try and fix the mess that is GTAV to actually make it fun again, yet Rockstar has been trying to thwart them with every update.

    5) GTA has been obsoleted by other entrants in the open world genre. Who needs a hyper-realistic, un-fun when we can choose from so many other options? I really thought that Vice City and San Andreas were awesomely fun games. It seems GTA has gone downhill and let Saints Row and Just Cause supersede them.

I'm honestly really disappointed in this entry in the franchise. Yes, the heists are nice both in single player and multiplayer. Yes the graphics are good. No, the game is not fun. No, the game puts realism in front of having fun. No, the game is not for people who have other things to do than play it every waking moment. GTAV had so much potential. Save yourself money and don't buy this 18 month-late game.

This is my last GTA game. There are far better choices out there now.

For the game itself: it's a GTA. You do GTA things, you meet GTA characters. Wether or not you mind the story depends on what entertains you. It's more then enough though to contextualize the action. The sheer unmachted brilliance is Los Santos though. The amount of detail on every single corner in this games simply blows every other game maker out of the water. Even a hall of famer like skyrim tends to look like a sterile alpha compared to rockstars world building. just stand at a crossing for a couple of minutes and watch this world being alive.

As usual the soundtrack alone is a reason to buy the game. heard the online part is a lot of fun as well.

GTA V proves promising and I've already played for 200+ hours on the PC without loosing interest. Easily 9/10 or 10/10 game with a few items fixed.

The story mode draws you through the story of three men and those they subsequently interact with, drawing them together as a group you get to play as and switch through on the fly. While challenging, you are drawn into their tale while reaking havoc across Los Santos and more. The creativity put into the side details is wonderful. TV and movie theater shorts, random encounters on the streets of LS, the radio or even just cruising a back alley and seeing a bum scratch his butt and sniff his finger. Someone got paid to program that. Just explore, drive around with friends, punch a whale. It's all up to you and what you chose to do, with plenty of it available to you to boot. At the end of the day, it's truly a hilarious and engrossing game. A must buy if you haven't yet.

    Some cons to improve on.

The FOV slider at max akin to a 90 year old lady with binoculars taped to her face. It's abysmal without the FOV mod and makes 1st person completely non functional for a large sector of the PC community. R* needs to increase the in game FOV slider to a much higher value.

Online needs more stuff to do. Casino games, board walk games, the arcade machine from the last incarnation. There just is not enough after a short bit with friends... Even if it means including bowling.

The flying shake is to much in my opinion. To each their own on this one.

The quick menu (M key/Hold Back button on controller) is way to clunky for quick operation of snacks and armor.

Days after release, Rockstar not only could not patch the game for customers who bought it for muxless laptops - which are the most common variety of gaming laptops today - but insulted customers who opened tickets on the matter attempting to find a solution.

I bought this on the pc to make the game just as I like with mods. Now it is not working. Why? I wanted music for myself, a radio mod. Change the FOV. Be part of a community. It is all gone.
Why should anyone buy this game on the PC? The controls are sh.tty, driving is a chore and annoying. Mods could have made this game passable. Now they won't.

The games lobby-system is really bad, considering that friends who joined your matches are constantly placed in different sessions after playing one match.

The first heist preparation mission always ends in a white screen error, even if replayed.

Mods are not supported and singleplayer-modifications will lead to a ban in GTA Online.

In contrast to that the singleplayer experience and gameplay feeling overall seem to be good.

Driving is better than the old one and there is much more depth in the missions. Object interaction is pretty awesome as is the world detail. I should note that I now have an Xbox controller I use for driving and mouse/keyboard when I need to shoot.

Optimisation is fairly good too they spent some time polishing it for PC which is nice to see. 90% smooth performance on an i5 with an ageing 2gb 7870. Only minor downside is the 60gb download since my DSL is just average so it took a while to get it down, plus good thing I just upgraded to a bigger drive.

Overall it's a contender for best game of the year no doubt.

This is the first game that really tested my rig, though I still managed to stay north of 60 fps with nearly all settings maxed. Graphically GTA V dropped my jaw and gave me several "The future is now!" moments. Even my artist wife would stop to gawk and admire what was on screen.

A great balance between mostly linear plot and sandbox rampage, I found driving and combat to be smooth with the right amount of challenge. My one game-play gripe is the clumsy-feeling pedestrian experience, where it is all to easy to accidentally jump face first into a wall that I intended to scale.

I found the plot to be engrossing through the final scene, and can see myself retreading the story in a month or two. I originally was going to wait for the first price drop to purchase, but a couple videos of gameplay graphics at 1080p was enough to persuade my wallet to open. I have no regrets.

I'm not sure if I can say that GTA V is my favorite game of all time, but I think its the best game I've ever played. Would score it as a 97 if I could, so rounding up to a 10.

The industry is full cheaply produced, unfinished and generally boring games. Some of them may be fun sometimes, but you can clearly see developers more and more caring about things like graphics instead of good stories or many details. GTA is - even though the graphics are great - the opposite. Never have i ever seen a game script so carefully written, with so many logical cohesions, details and great humour. Witty dialogues, a huge, open but yet fairly detailed world in which you can truly feel the passion and effort that was put into it. Nothing about this game resembles the current industry which is so great. Also, it's full of elaborate features and techniques which make the experience of Grand Theft Auto even more fun. Also, probably no developer except rockstar is able to kid american culture so well, and in a way that is not only relatable, but understandable. You clearly understand what is being teased, but yet you're not pelted with puerile and obvious jokes.

Generally one of the greatest game experiences ever, and a true longtime-runner in my library, thus a solid 10!

It doesn't seem to matter if you're playing single player or actually cheating online, many people are reporting bans for such simple things as entirely cosmetic mods. They seem to be using GTA:Online as an excuse to block all modding. It's really pathetic though that such a giant in the industry can't seem to limit their anti-cheating measures to only focus online when much smaller companies do it regularly.

This game has such massive potential for great user generated content but here we sit with it being crushed in favor of a notably lackluster online experience and Shark Cards (microtransactions for GTA:O in-game cash). Due to the number of people that bought the game it's modding community could even outshine Skyrim's once tools are created/released. They don't have to support single player modding, but the least they could do would be to not actively try to stop it. We all agree that online cheaters need to be dealt with, but they really need to leave single player to the players.

    ---------------------

The gun play is good, though the sounds are a tad stale sounding. Aiming is simple and fast, first person aiming is almost like a big name FPS. There are many guns to choose from and unlike GTA IV you can carry every last one all at once.

Driving feels nice and smooth. Weaving through traffic in your awesome sports car is fantastic. Speeds seem to be limited unfortunately so your in-game version of the Bugatti Veyron wont even break 200. Though that may be due to the fact that many PCs won't be able to render the world fast enough to keep up with the fastest cars at their real world counterpart's top speeds. First person driving is great but definitely needs seat adjustment options.

The AI can be incredibly dimwitted sometimes. I've had AI refuse to engage something trying to kill them, AI drivers consistently trying to drive into me as I go down the road, run into the open and get slaughtered when there is plenty of available cover, all sorts of things. Friendly AIs seem to have an aversion to shooting more than 2-3 shots in as many seconds when in vehicles, especially when they're on a turret gun.

The AI can have it's smart moments too. Hostile AIs seem to be smarter than friendly AIs. They'll suppress you, they'll use cover often, and they'll try to flank you when they can. They will also open up on you any time they can shoot.

Locking missiles are worthless against AI but nearly impossible to avoid for players. I've shot every last locking missile in my inventory at a slowly circling AI prop plane, I've shot numerous missiles at helicopters ad ground vehicles from aircraft. They almost always miss unless I get lucky. I've been shot at while in a far superior aircraft (a fighter jet) with guided missiles countless times by AIs as well as being shot at by players with locking missile launchers. They are relentless and EXTREMELY hard to dodge, this is coming from a guy who plays flight sims all the time. Where missiles fired at AI (even with full lock) seem to stop tracking when they get close enough to an AI missiles fired at you turn better, seem to be faster, and never give up trying to hit you. This is just flat unacceptable as far as I'm concerned. Missiles need to be uniform against all targets AI or Player.

The story is the same one you've probably played already on 360/PS3. Retired bank robber, crazy meth dealer, and laid back gangbanger team up for epic heisting action in strangereal LA. It's a fun story but desperately needed more actual heists and content. I feel like it suffered due to an obvious shift of focus to GTA:O. There is also plenty of content locked in GTA:O that needs to be added to the story mode including clothes, vehicles, and all sorts of other goodies. The latest content releases all seem to have favored GTA:O completely excluding single player as well. If Rockstar would patch all that content into single player as well it would be amazing. Another unfortunate thing is your GTA:O character who is in fact stored locally on your computer cannot be used as a heist crew member even though GTA:O now has it's own heists, you character interacts with many of the main characters including directly working for Trevor and Lester in "jobs", and takes place before the main story.

GTA:O is a lackluster disappointment to me. Boring grindfest or you're getting attacked by 9 year olds screaming obscenities on their mic or text chat. Jobs are fun but repetitive. No passive lobbies either. Everything is super expensive in stores.

If there is a game that deserves a ten this is it. This is the best game currently on the PC.. The cars handle perfectly, the ocean and boats spot on, flying is great. There are always room for improvements but there is nothing to complain about here. I finished the game and I will play it again, and again, until a new one is released on PC.

The map is too big to be worth exploring, you'll just drain time into this when you could be out doing aother things, the story isn't that great and feel fragmented. You'd be better served by buying something more engaging hell even one of the cod games would be a more fun buy, you might actually get excited about them.

Preordered on Steam, no launch issues, I was playing right away when the game activated. What a great port, luckily the Rockstar guys learned their lesson from the catastrophic GTA IV launch. The performance is really good, the game looks insane on highest settings and 1080, and I'm really enjoying the story. Really worth the wait.

GTA is a very beautiful game with open world with more realism than ever. And this is my problem with this game : I've finished all previous game. I've played about 10 hours GTA V and I don't achieve anything except tiny mission with unknown persons... Am I this only guy with this problem ?
And I don't really like the in-game purchase for on-line mode because I've already bought the game.

Good, not amazing, GTA game that is held back by the terrible business practices of it's creator. Banning people for using FOV mods, not offering proper customer support, etc. Unfortunately, I can't recommend a game like this when there are many other sand box action games on PC, like Sleeping Dogs and Saints Row, that don't have any of those problems.

It does not support ultrawide monitors properly.

It is unplayable – after 10 minutes of gameplay you get a slideshow (and my system exceeds recommended specs two times over). Judging from forums, there are tens if not hundreds of people with same issues – and Rockstar couldn't care less for them.

    My main qualms:

-No purchasable safehouses. Seriously? You can even do it online and in the beta, but why not in the single player game? Why not at least have some DLC? This is absolutely ridiculous. One of the most fun aspects of the previous games to me was having multiple safehouses I could not only duck into and lay low, but also to store cars at. You only get 1 to 2 safehouse per character and they can only be used by those characters, and they are default given to you based on the story. Lame lame lame

-Clothing options suck. There are only really 3 different clothing stores, and you can't even buy the same clothes for all the characters. You also can only pair certain shoes with certain pants, which makes it way harder than it needs to be to form a cool outfit, especially for characters like Franklin who when they go into the "nice" clothing store, can only buy Chinos as pants, which aren't able to pair with the "nice" shoes. in fact there are no "nice" pants you can buy for him, rather you have to buy a full suit, but if you want to get any of the cool sports coats or jackets, you can't wear any good pairs of shoes with them because since it is not a full suit you are forced to wear chinos or other pants (none of which are allowed to pair with nice shoes)

-The missions become lame after a while. They go from making me feel like an action start, to just fighting against the controls of the game to to tedious tasks. Flying missions are all horrible and unfun, as are many of the sidequest.

-It is unclear the difference between "pocket money" and "bank money". You keep getting these emails that show you are collecting revenue, but it is a pain to try and figure out where this money actually is. After googling for several days and posing questions on forums I finally figured out where it is.

-The swimming controls are horrid, and make zero sense. Why is the jump key by default the same as the dive key? And why should I have to google how to swim up every time I'm caught underwater losing breath because it's insanely overcomplicated to figure out how to swim back to the surface? So many unfun incredibly anger inducing deaths have come from drowning.

-Michael and Trevor's powers are too similar. They are essentially the same thing, "Be good at combat". Why not diversify and make one of them good at parkour or something? Have Franklin be the driver, Trevor be the crazy gun guy, and Michael be the physical specimen that can jump over huge distance, run fast, climb walls, basically specialize in getting away via foot, and also be really good at hand combat with special moves and such.

-In general there's nothing good to spend your money on. You can spend money on property, which you can't even enter or customize, it just makes you more money or gives you unfun non descript missions to undertake. All the guns are cheap and ammo is cheaper. The clothing is limited and not done well. There are no safehouses to buy cool mansions or lots of various ones to just have around the city. Spending money on cars is useless because the characters just have their default vehicles and there are only like 2 or 3 garages per character, and most missions will erase your car randomly so... yeah

-Lack of heists. Come on, you know we want to do the heists mainly. You get to do one at the beginning of the game, and it leads you to believe there will be many with this whole explanation of choice of characters and gaining experience. In the end it really just doesn't matter at all, and you go through suuuuch a long drought in the game where you never even get the opportunity to pull a heist after the first one (you even get teased with a heist where you can't choose any of the characters, and get no actual reward from it)

-No way to choose a set of outfits your characters can be found in. They always make the characters look like idiots, why can't I lock in the set of outfits that they can randomly be found in? Such a simple thing that can add so much more fun to the game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A technical accomplishment as always but there's really nothing to do in end game and the final missions are far from climactic. Even though I chose the 'death wish' option I just breezed through it. I suppose 1,500,000 of free in game cash will do that though zzzzzz. Maybe I won't pre order games anymore. Nothing much to spend your money on really though. Weapons of course, a few vehicles, not many. The map just isn't utilised during the missions either. There's so much more they could have done with it. I'm hoping that GTA online will offer up a reason to keep playing. Expand

As for the multiplayer, it's one of the worst I have ever encountered. Ludicrous loading times - and if you finally found a match, they might kick you, or you might lose the connection. Also, most of the free-roam missions are versus mode (well if you like that, go for it), but those where you have to communicate and "teamplay" are such a pain in the butt.

Stock Market/ no money cheat. I'm actually kind of glad for this because I was LOOKING for the money cheat and we'll get to why in a sec.

Trevor! (lol) The characterization was tired from the start with the "Homey" black guys (the ONLY black guys we ever get to see in pretty much ANY [game/movie/THING!]) Trevor really got me interested again. Michael's character was all right but got stale in a hurry.

The missions are a lot more cinematic, graphics are fantastic and the city seems so much more alive, though this is the hardest I think I've heard my GTX760 work since I bought it. Heh.

Now... as I said, I caught myself looking for the money cheat pretty early. First because I was tired of Michael and Homey and second because after running the city outside of the story I realized that, despite all of the improvements, the graphics, the new functionality, the new cars and whatnot...despite all of it... IT WAS THE SAME GAME!!! All you can really do when not following the story is happy slap civilians, steal their cars and take their money.

It's GTA: Return to San Andreas.

Also, I'm from L.A. and the work they did on the city is excellent. It really feels like Los Angeles but the way they manage it is modelling parts of the city almost exactly, putting all the models in a box, shaking it, dumping it on the table and connecting them all as they fall. It's grating. You can't tell which direction you're going but you recognize all the landmarks. It really does get tiresome. If you're not from L.A. it's not a problem.

Any score lower than 4 and higher than 7 is bs coming from anyone who's played the previous GTA installments (3 - San Andreas). Someone new to GTA should be thrilled but there shouldn't be anywhere near as many user-rated 10s.

Now multiplayer has actually some severe issues:
    - a HUGE map is absolutely not utilized. Very few good missions and only 4heists (not counting 1st one which is tutorial). You end up doing few same missions and heist over and over and over
    - server thing is very badly designed. 50% of the time you watch loading screens and sit in mission/heist setup screen. It's not fluid at all, loading after loading after loading...
    - matchmaking - this game is absolutely not designed to play with people you don't know (aka randoms) it makes frustrating game even more frustrating. For example, leaving in the middle of heist, ruining mission on purpose, or playing unprepared - like going to heists at rank 5.
    - server stability issues - sometimes it's ok, sometimes nearly unplayable - things are teleporting, lag freezes, game hangs up in certain scenarios or ppl get disconnected. It definitely has technical issues
    - It's extremely repetitive because of a reason I mentioned in first point, so it get boring very quickly because of a lack of proper diversity of activities that are actually fun. Some activities are nearly useless and boring.

Giving weak 8/10 just because of great SP campaign.

GTA Online allows up to 30 players and doesn't lag at all (if the players are in the same part of the world, still not that laggy). GTA V is a must buy and everyone with a decent PC should get it. The graphics and overall gameplay is massively upgraded from the consoles including animations, textures, particles, depth of field, motion blur, shadows, reflections, cars and pedestrian density and animals, just to name a few. The game also feels supersmooth in 60 fps compared to the console fps at 30 fps. Expand

Seriously, listen to Franklin and Lamar talk to each other... then imagine the middle-class white guy that was sitting in his office writing that dialogue. The satire is obvious, thin and lacking purpose or direction which leaves it strictly in cliche territory. Consequently, the single player campaign is appealing on the level of infantile humour and reassuringly un-challenging characterisation.

The game has been well ported from the consoles. The graphics look great and it runs well on most mid-range systems. The keyboard and mouse controls are clunky. Driving, flying and just moving in general are significantly better with a controller (which is well supported) but shooting with a mouse is profoundly easier. Consequently, you're better off chopping and changing between both control systems, which isn't ideal.

The game takes the better part of 10 minutes to initially load on my system (i7, 16gb RAM, AMD 7970), which is fine if you're playing single player, as there is little to no loading during gameplay. However, GTA Online seems to have a new loading screen every other minute.

GTA Online has its usual shenanigans which can eat up an hour or two if you're playing with friends. Playing with random players is pointless as more often than not they'll run you over half way through a mission 'for teh lulz'. On that note, turning off voice chat is recommended. And this is where the game really falls down. If you don't have at least 4 friends online to play with, then you're forced to play with randoms (Heists, for example, don't have a single player option and very few missions do, too). Hence, the Heists experience is 50% being trolled, 45% being frustrated and 5% shutting down GTA.

Unless you have a bunch of friends to play with at all times, or you really, really love the GTA franchise or you just like trolling people - I wouldn't recommend GTA V.

I regret buying it at all, tbh.

I am frankly quite astonished that the game runs perfectly smooth, with everything maxed out. It looks really pretty, and quite honestly much better than any console version I have seen.

There was a small issue with the game crashing at one certain part of the map, but since I am not a moron, I understood this had to do with a corruption issue of one of the *.rpf files. I verified my game cache through steam, and it found two files which needed to be reacquired. After this, the game has run flawlessly.

My gaming experience has been wonderful, and I really enjoyed the story. Now what I have left to do, is larking about, causing havoc. :-D

    1. The loading times in multiplayer are a constant annoyance.
    2. The visuals are dated compared to a game like watch dogs and honestly they require way too much horsepower to run for the framerate to get as low as it does. Watch dogs maxed out gets 80-100 fps maxed out, This game? I've seen it go as low as 25 on a gtx 980 in some areas.
    3. Heist missions online are very fun however replaying them isn't, as 90% of my time is worrying about other people doing their jobs correctly rather than actually enjoying the mission itself.
    4. First person mode was definitely overrated and I find myself constantly switching back to the 3rd person mode instead. It just doesn't feel fluid and even with the FoV setting maxed out it feels wonky and limiting, the weapon position itself feels off as well.
    5. The pc helicopter controls are as bad as gta 4. The design wasn't improved at all.
    6. Still way too many buildings that have no interiors. It really kills immersion for me in this world when 98% of the buildings and houses you see around you cannot be accessed. I was really hoping to be able to break into houses or something this time around to do robbery jobs or something like that but sadly that isn't an option at all. Would have been a great side-activity for online as well. The games world itself just feels too limited to the street which was the same problem GTA 4 had. You see all these great looking buildings and houses and can't access any of it.

Maybe someone can do a mod that opens up some of these houses/buildings. I realize that its a lot of work doing interiors, especially interiors with multiple levels, but still it shouldn't have been THIS restricted like gta 4 was and they could have enhanced it further over gta 4 by adding some side-activity to go along with it like robbery jobs.

Despite some people having problems (which is inevitable on PC as everybody has different rigs on different operating systems), Rockstar have been very quick to fix any bugs that managed to slip through on release. This is a beautiful game, and the fact that PC gamers get the added bonus of a movie maker mode is a really tasty bonus that Rockstar did not have to throw in.

It was a 10/10 game on it's original release on the 360, and I'm grateful that they took the time to work on improving the game to make the most of PC hardware. It has the best physics engine of any game I've played, there is so much attention to detail in the city, and the AI pedestrians really make the place feel alive. Stellar voice acting and writing (if a little puerile, but that's part of the charm). My only complaint is the loading times between multiplayer jobs, but the single player alone warrants 10.10, it seems silly to mark something down for having extra features.

The game looks and feels fantastic....other than the driving which is as bad as any other GTA game. Still, the immersion that exists as you are driving down the freeway in what feels like a real city is unmatched by any other game. Still the more you play the illusion is revealed. You cannot enter any buildings, you cannot interact with people unless it is to attack them. It is understandable, but disappointing at times nonetheless. You walk past a nightclub at night and can hear the music inside but you cannot go in. how cool would that have been? At least a few area. I would have liked to have seen more shops maybe, something. It is kind of going back to Disney World as an adult, knowing everything is just a shell steals the magic away from you.

Constant freezes, disconnects, online progress dissappeared randomly and so on. Every time I got one bug fixed, another one popped up. The first week GTA was absolutely unplayable. After two patches most of that is gone for me. The servers are still overloaded though. Sometimes so much, that I cant even start single player. And the cloud service is very bugged as well and make saved cars dissappear randomly. May not sound too bad, but if you bought an expensive car, you loose severeal days of playing time in an instant, which is rather frustrating.
The support took looong to reply to my crashes, but was helpful and polite, once they did.
Minor things that are annoying are the typical port issues. You cant change the keybinding for the controller. And you cant put healing items and body armor on hotkeys. You have to scroll through 3 menus to do that, which is a pain in the ass in the middle of a firefight. It also doesnt seem to memorize my weapon layout. Have to reset it every time I start the game...
If it weren't for those issues, I'd easily rate this an 8. I had some hilarious moments in online mode. I had a blast stealing a jet from the military base and bringing it downtown to wreak havoc.
The coop missions become repetitive after a while, but the heists are insanely good. I wish they had less missions, but done with the passion that they put into those heists. If you enjoyed previous GTA titles and always wanted an online mode thats actually playing its cards right, then this game might be exactly what you waited for. It's a gamble though, if it runs for you. No matter if you have a high end pc or not.

This game is beautiful. I'm going to buy it now. And if you're a fan of the GTA series, you should buy it right now. I advise everyone to buy it and only play with friends in the GTA Online. Thanks to all.

I've been waiting for what seems like forever to play this game. I don't play consoles, so it finally feels good to experience the game via PC. Love the gorgeous graphics/lighting,great voice acting,Franklin/Michael/Trevor dynamic, nasty language, sweet rides/customizations,hilarious comments, radio stations/music,heists,video editor & the many things-to-do. No crashes and fps are good for my GPU.

If you hadn’t had a chance to play it yet at all though, and your computer can handle it, the PC version does definitely feel like the definitive version.

Rockstar promised that the PC edition of GTA V would be the best way to experience this breathtaking game, and that’s exactly what it is. [06/2015, p.48]

We could not expect a better PC port PC for Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar North, offers right from day one a huge game in optimized, widely scalable, and high impact graphics and the video editor, although not so easy to use, is an enjoyable addition.
