    This game is currently a broken mess. Constant crashes and disconnects make holding workshops, a main portion of the PVE and PVP, impossible. Recent nerfs have make them not worth the effort. The game is really just a poor mans Fallout 4. I would have given it a 2/10 if it weren't for the fact that Bethesda **** all over their customers numerous times recently.     This feels less like a standalone game and more like a fallout 4 mod in early alpha. It is utterly broken. Graphic glitches to one side - its a complete buggy mess. I have lost count of the times I have had to restart quests because the game blanked my previous progress.     It is even a shame to call a game. Just the trash that belched Bethesda.
    They will not even be able to fix everything so that it does not look like crap, because you need to look at the root of the problem - the “engine”. It is so outdated that even with the titanic work of the developers of this **** nothing sensible will come of it.

    This game is a MASSIVE joke! We were promised changes, adventure, and a new chapter. What we got was a mess!
    For starters, there are NO NPCs in the game! No one to interact with, no one to see how they survived, no one to give quests. The entire game seems to be a rushed attempt to play off Fortnight in the Fallout Universe because its all PVE or PVP, not the original Fallout we have been promised to continue.

    Quests are PVP based. Its all about killing other creatures OR becoming a Raider and killing other players, there is no story to follow anymore.

    Crafting is bugged out, and usually results in crashes. If you build your CAMP, and then relocate it, you must start from scratch because of bugs that prevent you from placing your saved CAMP again without rebuilding it.

    Bethesda ALSO promised us WEST-TEK Canvas bags from dropping the $200 for the special editions, INSTEAD WE GOT NYLON CHINESE RIP-OFFS BECAUSE they, and I quote:
    “Ran out of supplies and had to make a change at the last minute to deliver games.”

    In all this game is a MASSIVE MESS and a waste of time and money for a game that could have been so much more. Instead of a game, they released a BETA that they continue to update just TO MAKE MONEY!    … Expand

Fallout 76 on the other hand was the biggest disappointment of 2018. The visuals look atrocious, the gameplay sluggish and buggy as hell and it’s just pointless roaming with no NPCs or story. Bethesda should be ashamed, the guys who made New California as a hobby built a far superior Fallout game this year.… Expand

They have no idea what made these games good in the first place and I hope that they clean house of all the goons over there who are running the show.     Pre purchased this piece of crap and paid 80$. Was half price withing a month.

    Game is unplayable, broken, unpatchable (would need a whole new game to fix this one), and unenjoyable.

    I would not even play if the game was free.

It is nothing like any of the other fallout games, this one is complete trash. I hope they go back to their roots next game, otherwise: rip fallout series. Shame.

    Perhaps there are things in this game that don't deserve that score, but when I consider all in all that's the score it gets.

    At first I felt excited to get out and see what Bethesda had made, to explore, build and do quest. But rather quickly the game over all felt empty and dull. Everything I had hoped for was missing and was instead replaced with thins I had hoped would not be there.
    This game contains so many badly developed thins on so many levels its hard to get any enjoyment out of it at all. Thins from how the melee systems hit-box is from a bad 1998 game, to the terrible sound location system were it will sound like all the enemies in a dungeon are kicking you in the ear at once, from every direction. Not to mention how demanding this game will be for your system. I run it on a GTX 1080 ti and i still experience ridiculous frame drops in certain areas.
    You will spend most of the time being frustrated over game breaking bugs and unstable servers.
    All these thins I could accept, from a small INDIGAME-studio perhaps, but not from this multi billion company that is Bethesda. The game should be called a early-access game, and the price players had to pay to play this game is absurd.

    To summarise, this game is all in all just a big disappointment for fallout fans. They brought with them all bad thins from fallout 4 and added a few more game breakers on top of the already huge pile of dirt that this game contains.    … Expand

    It contains numerous bugs and glitches that Bethesda themselves could not be bothered to fix in the BETA/full release of the game.
    To add salt into consumer's open wound, they do not allow us to refund this game because they would know that they would lose pretty much all the money because of the backlash of this game. Bethesda does not listen to    This game is an absolute failure.

    The AI still suffers from lag and enemies sometimes disappear from the map entirely; Looting enemies doesn't work, when they were shot with a weapon using fusion cell as ammo.

    The game is getting worse every day. I hope they will fix this mess. Other than that, never pre-ordering a game again.    … Expand

    But what is that kind of idea to not implement any NPCs or real quests? Ok, Fallout had never a quest depth like Witcher, but what is that an idea to not integrate NPCs in that nice world? This does not make any sense to me,    First of all, the world is truly a Fallout world, with many interesting places with a fantastic authentic atmosphere, it's even better and bigger as in Fallout 4.

    But what is that kind of idea to not implement any NPCs or real quests? Ok, Fallout had never a quest depth like Witcher, but what is that an idea to not integrate NPCs in that nice world? This does not make any sense to me, the world is big, but it's completly empty, you can get quests only via reading terminals or playing tapes and the quests are boring and not worth to do them. You can see so many MMORPGs with NPCs and nice quests, so this point is manageably.

    I like the crafting and collection mechanism of Fallout 76, but everyone gets pissed off because of this stupid storage mechanism. Why has the main chest a maximum capacity? Why the character has so low capacity? I checked Fallout 4, even with Level 1 you have 230 capacity. Why hair clips and also ammo weight something? You have to through ammo away because you cant put it in the main chest. If you like to sell 1000 steel to free your chest, you can't do it because the traders will give you 0. This game is not finished, that is my intention.

    Next point PvP, WHY? I only say WHY? It is the worst implementation of PvP I have ever seen. The point is that no body does PvP currently, because it is senseless. Better implementation would be to give PvE and PvP option before searching a server. On PvE there is no PvP or stay it like it is currently, but for PvP there shall be same level ranged players placed on the server which can't see each other on the map, so you have to listen to guns etc. You shall also get a bonus for killed players.

    Even the controlling of factories/plants/trash dumps is a nice idea but the implementation of the feature is bad. You can build defences but If you quit the game everything is lost.

    I like the survival idea, but it is easy to satisfy so this feature is also boring.

    I suggest to play Fallout 3 or 4 again and have a look later on Fallout 76. Bethasda released an unfinished game with bad ideas, so they have to give a lot lot lot of free content and expansions to make it a valuable game and get the repect of the Fallout community again.

    One last statement, the pc port is horrible even more horrible than Fallout 4, stop that, many other games have amazing pc ports.    … Expand

    It didn't take me long to give up on this game, I have an insane amount of hours from fallout 3 to 4, especially 4, and what killed this experience for me was some stupid golf course riddled with ghouls which are one of the few mobs that drop no ammo but somehow make you waste an immense amount and so I eventually just couldn't deal with the grind of killing them with absolutely no loot reward while wasting my resources consistently trying to avoid the fight entirely.

    I'll be honest I quit on this game early, but holy jesus... the quality is just nonexistent. This is a game for people who want to roam around and enjoy the atmosphere with no care for lack of immersion (to each their own). After fallout 4 and its beautiful community of mods I was spoiled with high expectations but this game didn't even meet the lowest expectations. This is no doubt a flop and my first actual review... ever... I made this account just to stress my disappointment with a franchise I loved. Not to mention the severe inability of bethesda to properly support their community.... seriously, you can't change your username without making a new account.. I even wrote to them and explained why I needed a new account name.. but that was unreasonable apparently.

    If you want to enjoy fallout go back to fallout 4 and just mess around with different mods that bethesda doesn't even sufficiently support. It doesn't deserve a 0 because it would likely be an amazing game without the massive amount of glitching... like how am I supposed to enjoy fighting a dude phased through a wall.. or frozen in t-pose and not even shooting? But again, the atmosphere is fairly beautiful and walking through the game is absolutely enjoyable until you are completely disappointed by the garbage fighting that takes place again and again, assuring you that it isn't something you can ignore and push away just because you love the franchise.. at least I couldn't and I almost always side with the franchise giving them the benefit of the doubt... but I just couldn't ignore it for this game.

    $80 I am never getting back. Being in high school that is a lot more money than it sounds like. I LOVED previous fallout games and this just made me want to play those instead. It could have been something great if they added more stories to the locations. The map feels empty but not in the fun apocalypse way.     How about make a decent game that's not full of bugs and keeps crashing for no **** reason. I'm literally wasting my time playing this **** game. How can I even rate this game above 0 when I cant even manage to play it in the first place. The creators of this game should feel ashamed. there's no effort or thought put into the making of this game and its just a cash grab.

    Even someone with patience has to really try hard not to throw something at the screen when the connection problems hit.
    January 2 2021, killing a legendary assaultron in a building for a mission, got it down to 5% health and server disconnects. FU BETHESDA! January 15: 75hrs later    I'd love to give a good review for this but I'm "Waiting for response from Server, please stand by...".
    Even someone with patience has to really try hard not to throw something at the screen when the connection problems hit.

    The concept is interesting, if it worked it could have been one of my favorite game ever, as I looove Fallout, ut the game barely works, and it filled with stupid concepts, lie the limited PVP, the limited players, etc. And now that they dared to add a subscription service, I don't just say it's a bad game I heaviuly recommend you to stray away from this game.

I fell in love watching fallout lore videos such as Storyteller. Then for fallout 4 to come along and **** all over everything that pisses me off. THEN THIS GAME SOMEHOW MANAGES TO BE FALLOUT $ BUT 50 TIMES WORSE. Brotherhood and Enclave somehow in the game. They removed Jet apparently. So they listening, and by listening i mean listened to one thing and said **** you guys enjoy ur favorite series being !ucked to death to the rest. I originally was gonna give this game a 1, cause hey they finally admiting they dont give a flying **** what we think. But no, the "story" is much too retarded for me to give anything higher then a 0.… Expand

    The game isn't absolute trash, but it is all about collecting trash. Sadly collecting stuff isn't possible in this game since you will reach the stash limit within the first few hours of the game and you will struggle with the carry weight limit for the rest of the game.
    Found the best legendary rocket launcher in the game? Too bad that you can't possibly carry it    Remove the stash limit!

    This game is by far the biggest trash of 2018. This game supposed to be a grinder where you farm items but the stash in the game is a joke. It is full in about 2 hours. If you want an unlimited stash for trash items then you have to pay a monthly fee. This game is a pure scam.

    The game at first is OK, overall the game is extremely boring and lackluster. If they copy and pasted Fallout 4 and just paid attention to the multi-player aspect the game would be a lot better. The multiplayer aspect is close to useless. Comparing the game play to Fallout 4, there is close to no improvement.

I get its a radiated wasteland but seriously? 5- The weapons and armour 'degrade' very quickly.     FO76 ran like an asthmatic pig uphill on PS4. However it runs pretty dreamy on PC. Personally I liked everything that FO76 had to offer except one thing a major deal breaker. The base game stash limit is a measly joke of 1,200 lbs. Not 1,200 items, but 1,200 numbered in weight. Ok back off to play FO4 for the umpteenth time. No problems hording to my hearts content in that one.

    Then there is Bethesda handling of their customers. Ranging with the handling of their $200 dollar Collectors Edition to customers requesting refunds for the game.

    I requested a refund on the game like many others and received an automated response which have upset a great deal of people.

    First of all, just by downloading the game, you no longer eligible for a refund. I call nonsense on this. How are people suppose to know if the game is good or bad. The only way is to download the game and play it. Yes, you can go to game news sites or watch videos about the game. But there will be a few sites and videos praising how great the game is.
    At least with Steam, they have procedures when it comes to digital games. You can ask for a refund within 14 day and haven't played the game for more then 2 hours.

    At this point, Bethesda is still digging their own grave due to all the anti-customer practices they are doing on a daily basis. Right now, the depth of the their grave has gone past the 6 feet mark and is just going straight down.

    Bethesda needs to sort out all of their problems involving Fallout 76 and it's customers. If they don't, I can see that their next few games won't do so well because of how they handled Fallout 76.

    As for me, I will be more weary on buying any more of Bethesda's games in the future. I will wait a month or 2 and see if the game is worth even buying.    … Expand

    I'll preface my review by saying Fallout has been my favourite franchise since fallout 3, wasteland survival is one of my favourite genres. Fallout 76 was something I looked forward to since they announced it. Then the beta dropped and I thought "Oh this is rough, guess they'll fix it like they said they plan to." But I've been playing it since launch and all the main elements are broken,I'll preface my review by saying Fallout has been my favourite franchise since fallout 3, wasteland survival is one of my favourite genres. Fallout 76 was something I looked forward to since they announced it. Then the beta dropped and I thought "Oh this is rough, guess they'll fix it like they said they plan to." But I've been playing it since launch and all the main elements are broken, and the absence of live NPCs (which used to bring flavour to the world) just makes the game so lonely that those broken elements get fixated on. The PvP is broken and so unbalanced, favouring the attacked player in every fight. Which even if they win the attacker gets nothing but scrap and then gets a bounty which makes them open to being attacked by anyone but unable to damage anyone until they get a hit on you. The end boss is pretty close to unkillable in the allotted period when you're a higher level due to having a couple hundred million health. The servers are constantly crashing, my frame rate is usually terrible, frequently I need to switch servers just to get a temporary bump in frame rate.
    Honestly, I really want to like this game and I know it can be good, but it isn't right now. It's a buggy mess that is nowhere near what was promised. If you haven't bought it yet don't. They have a lot to fix, they can do it. But until they do, don't waste your money.    … Expand

    This game is great. You can walk around and see nothing of value or interest. What is really nice, the game really has no point. You can follow a robot for 10 minutes and help it kill a couple super mutants, and your reward will be some crafting trash. If you're really lucky, you might be able to collect enough junk to have an empty junk pile "camp" of your own.

    Finally, when you've realized this game is a half-assed DLC from Fallout 4, and you accept you've been tricked by Bethesda, you can start the process of telling them it's trash, and not what you paid for. Then begins the real fun, Bethesda "customer service". It's the online version of staring into a mirror and saying, "Go screw yourself" repeatedly.

    Great stuff. Just great stuff.

And when they decided to borrow ideas from other actual MMOs (F76 is not an MMO), they took the worst possible way to solve problems they themselves created.

    After the first hour ingame, I already want to punch the persons responsible for these horribe - and as my friend so fittingly put it, anti-intuitive - key bindings. Why does "Tab" sometimes bring up a menu, and close others, and is sometimes used to "accept" or "confirm" things, when at other times I have to "accept" or "use" something by pressing "E", or "Return", or clicking with my mouse, which can also be used to skip videos, but then again, this only works on some videos and others must be cancelled or skipped with "T".

    Weapon and armor balance is all over the place. This works in a single player game, but seriously Bethesda, hire someone who can explain to you why your "damage resistance" model does not work when you want to have competitive weapons with different attack speeds.

    While perfecting the appearance of a new character, the menus again are horribly designed. The whole instruction panel on the bottom, telling me what keys have what function, would land me 10k+ upvotes on r/CrappyDesign. There is a message ingame, after creating a character, that tells us we can go back to customizing our characters later on, I like that. But why don't you tell us in the very same way that we need to leave the vault to save our character in the first place. No, let's just delete your progress without any confirmation.

    The whole combat system is clunky at best. The quests beyond the story consist of barely more than kill and collect. And the actual story is delivered via text terminals; I don't need a 3D video game to play a text adventure.

    I did play the free trial week and tried to find any trace of enjoyment.     This game is complete garbage.. I had such high Hope's for Bethesda's new multiplayer experience. Instead all I was handed was an incomplete, buggy, frustrating. And just a straight up bad game

The weapon levels being high as when you find em. The fact that everything breaks fast, even with the perks they still break fast. Theyve also added a battle royale to which they will put more emphasis and importance to it, meaning more concetration on that game mode then into the base game itself. The fact that it is in survival 24/7. Where you cant chose to get off of that. Where is they made adventure for mainly pvp. Where they couldve put survival in there or made a complete different game mode for that scenario over all. The toxic community to which they wont even allow you to talk bad on the game or address issues rather will completely insult you.     So i ended up with this game because a friend gifted to me, and right now im just thinking if we should still be friends, the game is just completely broken, a ton of bugs. not only that the game now has a suscription with stuff that should be for free. also NO LATAM SERVERS.

    Fallout 76 promises to give the player a traditional Fallout single player experience but this time with other players. The Fallout games are highly regarded as key player in the RPG genre with strong narratives, quests and world building across a post apocalyptic wasteland where you have to scrounge to survive its inhabitants.     Fallouts gunplay has never been it's strong point, it's always been the narrative so when players began to populate Fallout 76 they began to understand this. No NPCs (Non playable Characters) apart from the various wasteland monsters of West Virginia made the game feel tainted and empty. Quests and side quests are handed out from robotic means such as computer terminals or tape decks and some of these quests would be teasing you to find someone, anyone and the sad part is you already knew they were never going to be there. The main quest is a stick and carrot experience and down right insulting to anyone who came into the fray looking for a story.

    Assets and terrains have been completely ripped out of Fallout 4, many models looking ugly and low textured. Structures that are dull, lonely and uninteresting. Granted it is supposed to be post apocalyptic but it doesn't excuse terribly modelled buildings that could be whipped up in a few hours making the rounds from past Fallout games.

    Technically speaking the game is a disaster. Bethesda clings on to the Creation Engine which is dated and flawed and it shows. Bugs are frequent both Physical and Graphical. Despite the game looking as poor as it does it still struggles with performance no matter which platform you are playing.

    Although this is an online game, do not expect social interaction to come easily. Fallout is a chore when it comes to playing with friends you will have to rely to third party means of communication.

    Over time pay to win features have been slowly creeping into the Micro-transactions for the few players still suffering the game.

    If you would like a game that would overall disappoint and confuse you, by all means purchase this game. If you are on the verge of buying it, please consider your options. it's 2019 and innovative games are coming thick and fast.    … Expand

    Neverending flow of bugs that keep returning. After a hopeful period in the first half of 2019, it shows that ultimately Bethesda's promises are false, they do not populate the game with sufficient new content, they introduce P2W mechanisms and have their players for a cashcow without actually fixing the game first. There are way better alternatives around. Stay away from this!

    If you defend this game now, you should be clinically registered as having a mental disorder. Broken game on release, **** plastic bags for CE box, and now they're adding a f**king subscription? Lies upon lies upon lies, and now we're paying for it. F**k Bethesda. They don't deserve a cent more from us gamers. They are the biggest joke in gaming right now.

    Fallout 76 represents a big disappointment and the lowest point of the series so far. Riddled with bugs, repetitive and dull gameplay, nonexistent story and outdated graphics, it fails as a both multiplayer and singleplayer experience for fans and newcomers alike.

    Miracles do happen once in a while and No Man’s Sky proved that sometimes it is possible to get back on your feet even after a terrible failure. Right now though Fallout 76 is botched spectacularly on so many levels that even talking about this game is a waste of time. [01/2019, p.46]
