    This game is obviously incomplete and not ready for release. It is very buggy and has very poor support for hardware that is relatively common. For example, the game menu will run at 5 FPS if you have a 144hz monitor with gsync. You have to open the nvidia control panel to manually disable gsync if you want the menu and cinematics to function properly.

    The environmental design is very beautiful and almost saves the game. But you still need a functioning game on top of the beautiful environment. The game is very boring until over level 10. But it does get better! I think giving this game a chance is worthwhile.    … Expand

    Take it from someone who actually owns this game (unlike most review bomz) it’s insanely fun. And if you can find it for a slight discount then even better. Money sells spent. No monthly fee.

    If you hated fallout 4 then this isn’t for you. If you loved that game you’ll love this. The added elements are exciting as heck.

    Fanstatic game, ive gotten to about level 15 so far. Ive destroyed a base, been hunted, setup workshops, farmed and crafted, done quests. It really feels like a Fallout MMO of sorts. I love it.

    I have played only Fallout 1 and got bored to it then. That was the reason why I skipped the next Fallout games. Until now I gave it new chance and I'm glad I did.

    At this present time i will admit there are a few minor bugs but everything can be worked around and nothing is major. I simply put am loving this game. From questing to the story line to turning my character into some kind of melee monster. I cant get enough and the expansions when they come will be amazing.

    Great, fun game, that takes a break from the normal Fallout games. It has some bugs, like all the Fallout games do.

    Not a Fallout RPG, but fun PvE exploring with chums in the retro-future Fallout world.

    + Great scenery and elevations.
    + Plenty of stuff to do.
    + Uses FO4 mechanics.
    ~ PvP is ... meh
    - Poor FOV/DOF display on PC.
    - Shallow RPG story for low single player emotional engagement.

    The brigading here is crazy. I've enjoyed the beta and have been playing nightly since the launch in CO-OP. The story is interesting, following the trail of someone from your vault and learning about the final days of various groups pre and post the nuclear fallout. You will encounter many NPCs and help them along or take the traditional steps of appeasing them.

    Current bugs involve the rare quest tracking issue, encountered it once and fixed via relog. Main annoyance is that the game is fussy about moving bases from one location to another when it comes to transferring a structure to unlevel ground. This is still the most expansive base-building has been in this franchise.

    I love that the game is an ongoing, online effort for reasons of keeping it live and updated with fixes and improvements. Combined with future modding and 76 has the potential to be the most supported and updated and patched game Bethesda has ever released. I look forward to updates..    … Expand

    This game is a refreshing take on the Fallout formula, it's an excellent addition to the franchise, and will only get better as time goes on as new content is added (for free as-well, No paid DLC will release for this game) There are many features that i wish was in Fallout 4, such as Crafting weapons & Armor from scratch. Also there are endless possibilities for this game, Want to have a little farm and grow food to sell to other players? Totally possible, Want to raid other player's Workshops to steal their resources & Claim it for yourself? Totally possible. Want to gang up with strangers, making friends, & completing quests & events together? Totally possible, i could go on and on. Literally the only issue i had with this title is some frame-rate slow downs in certain areas, but that is an easy fix that an optimization patch would clear up. This game has loads of potential and is a ton of fun, Totally worth the $60 price tag. While playing solo is possible, it is more fun with friends, but going rogue & playing solo also has its perks. I'd highly recommend you try this game for yourself, Ignore the hate that this game is getting because it's currently trendy to hate on it.     Albeit negative reviews from angry kids, this game is fun! I had over 15 hours of play time where I enjoyed myself and had tons of funny created moments with other players. PVP is not mandatory which is amazing!
    Sure, the engine is dated and there's a bit of uncanny feel to it, but trust me you will have fun!

    Changing my review because for the last few days it's been nothing but issues. This is DEFINITELY not worth the full price!

    Performance is poor, gameplay is repetitive as all hell, and for $60 there shouldn't be ANY cash shops, cosmetics should be lootables or quest rewards.

    That'll teach me for supporting Bethesda.

    if your expecting a traditional fallout than this game isn't for you. This is a cooperative looter survival game, if you come into the game expecting that, your gonna love it. If your a fan of the original fallout games than there is still a ton in this game for you, playing solo, digging through terminals, listening to holo tapes, and reading notes is a ton of fun.     Most of the "reviewers" have clearly not played the game and are full of lies. It's a completely new type of game, part fallout, part survival, part mmo.

    Yes there is story, no you can't be griefed in pvp it's optional, yes it feels a bit like a console port, microtransactions are cosmetic.

    it's fun and there is a ton of content. Plus play Fallout with friends

Now they released a super buggy game, making it almost 50% off in the first 2 weeks, not listening to the community and denying refunds.     It's a fun sandbox survival game, set in one of my favorite game universes. I've thoroughly enjoyed exploring and playing the game.

    However, it isn't the multiplayer Fallout game that people wanted, and so they can't seem to enjoy it for what it offers. Their loss, I say.

    Best game of 2018

    Even though I was a huge Fallout 3 fan, I held off on buying this game because I saw it got some bad early reviews and because I wasn't convinced my 6 year old PC with a 3 year old graphics card could handle it. But this weekend it was on sale and I decided to give it a shot.

    The game is fun and full of potential. I have played each of the betas and am currently enjoying the live experience. The only issue I have with it is optimization, but that can be fixed.

    People been asking for a fallout multiplayer and they delivered. What I don't like is the lack of actual story and human NPC's. Also the netcode looks bad.

    Don't understand all the hate, this game doesn't really deserve it at all (I guess it's "cool" to jump on the hate bandwagon) Very fun to play solo (I muted mic's as I don't want to hear people eating, gross) If you enjoy fallout games you will enjoy this too! If you don't enjoy fallout games then you probably won't. Simple.

    Give PC players an option to turn off this stupid Depth of Field!

    The game is good, but not ready yet. I think patches will make it better. Coop is nice, single player is little boring.

    Yo can build, you can loot trash or you can just look for other players and scrap their head from their corpses, best game of 2018.

    Btw , we all know this isn't elder of scrolls, the game box says FALLOUT and if you are a true fallout Fan you will love it.

А ведь не зря, в игре множество квестов, интересных мест, групповых ивентов. Хочется во всё это играть, исследовать всё уголки и возвращаться в любимые места. Надеюсь как с ТЕСО, разработчики будут расширять мир.

    An absolutely fantastic game, if you see 0 score user reviews you can be sure most of them are from fat ass lonely neckbeards who fail at online interaction as well at social interaction. Either that, or they're buttmad Obsidian shills :^)
    Not to mention over 98% of them haven't even touched the game
    Game's great, get some friends you incel losers haha what a bunch of losers haha

    It's Fallout 4 with more emphasis on exploration and no player dialogue options. NPCs talk to you, and there are several stories, both main and sides, told to you via holotapes, radios, terminals, etc. It also has some light survival elements thrown in to keep things fresh. If you are looking for a deep RPG with a branching storyline, give this one a pass. If you're looking for a nice Fallout experience with (or without) friends, I'd recommend picking it up. I've mostly played solo with voice chat off and have had a blast, so don't worry if you have no one to play with.

    Do not listen to the negative review bombing the elitists have given it. It needs a spit and polish, but it is a good game.    … Expand

    I have been a huge fan of Fallout going back to the original but Fallout 76 is not only a terrible Fallout title but a terribly executed game on all fronts. From a programming standpoint the game has terrible to little or no error handling. The law of unintended consequences rules every key stroke and mouse click. The game is extremely unstable and I'm constantly being frozen for 3 to 5I have been a huge fan of Fallout going back to the original but Fallout 76 is not only a terrible Fallout title but a terribly executed game on all fronts. From a programming standpoint the game has terrible to little or no error handling. The law of unintended consequences rules every key stroke and mouse click. The game is extremely unstable and I'm constantly being frozen for 3 to 5 seconds while the server catches its breath so to speak. On average, the server will freeze me out of play 5 to 6 times per hour. It is extremely hard to get a good gamer pace going when the game is constantly fighting the user's inputs. Beside being buggy as all heck, the story ranges from one dimensional to being virtually non existent. The combat is terrible as the enemy combatants seemingly transport back and forth across the screen making you waste tons of ammo to kill yet another scorched. I am really at a loss how any professional reviewer can write a positive review of this game. For the love of God and your immortal soul, do not waste your money on this game. This was the most disappointing wait for a game i have ever had and the second game i am trying to refund after No Man's Sky. (they refused to refund because they said i already downloaded the game)

    I'm not mad Bethesda. I'm disappointed. You guys are one of my favorite game studios, and Fallout is one of my favorite "gaming franchises" of all time. But you charged us $60+ for a glorified asset flip with somehow even more bugs and glitches than your previous game Fallout 4. But in the case of Fallout 4 I ignored the bugs because I was a fanboy who didn't want to admit the flaws in it,I'm not mad Bethesda. I'm disappointed. You guys are one of my favorite game studios, and Fallout is one of my favorite "gaming franchises" of all time.     OK so I pre-ordered and played the BETA. I bought Tod's reassurances that it would be cool to play solo. It wasn't, it was boring as hell and the engine is now obviously outdated. The game just feels empty and there is no incentive to invest yourself in the experience so I refunded. Now I can't uninstall the game as the Bethesda.Net launcher is 'broken'.     This is a watered down FPS with a RPG facade that makes a pitiful attempt at engaging the player with some of the worst loot, crafting, and questing systems out there all while using multiplayer as an excuse to ratchet up the grind and abandon any semblance of decent game design.     I'd like to do more quests, but I spend almost all of my time looking for junk to scrap so I can repair my weapons and armour, which seem to break incredibly often. The hunting rifle in Fallout 3 could fire over 650 rounds before breaking. In 76, it feels like I'm only firing 50 or so before the rifle breaks and needs repairing.

    Survival mode is a permanently on feature. In 4, you could switch it on and off, but 76 makes it mandatory. I get there are some people who like survival mode, but I'm not one of them, and I feel it should have been an option like it was in 4.

    You have to scrap weapons just to see weapon mods, let alone unlock them. At one point my entire inventory was made up of hunting rifles, just to unlock some mods, many of which ended up being mods I didn't even want.

    The game has features that it doesn't even tell you about. Juicehead has already identified 30 different features that the game straight up neglects to inform you of.

    The way weapons and armour levels up is nonsensical. Leather Armour should be low level armour, with combat and marine armour being higher level, but you can find leather armour at any level.
    And the lack of human NPC's... ugh, the world is so empty.

    Frankly, the game is tedious, the only good bit is the combat and even that is marred by terrible weapon condition and bugs.    … Expand

It was actually kind of funny how the terrain kept this monster from being able to reach us and squash us and we used the tent as a barrier! Don't get me started on the PVP ridiculousness. We had another player follow us around constantly shooting us even though we had no desire to engage. He eventually succeeded in killing me(even with the ludicrous reductions to damage) and dropped my son's health by 3/4 before he logged. There are so many bugs that many times one of us couldn't see the enemies that eventually killed us or sometimes each other. I took damage many times, but couldn't see who was killing me. Overall, the look and feel of the game is reminiscent of Fallout 4, but lacks the heart and engaged storyline of the factions. A most serious disappointment following what I felt was the best of the franchise in Fallout 4.… Expand

    I loved the early Fallout games, but this game is just terrible. After a few hours of clumsy annoying play trying to find a town following the story quest, I was hunted down, harassed, and killed by a squad of lv 30 players that were out hunting newbies for fun. This is the worst game I have ever played.

    1. I hate that I spend so much time killing enemies when I just want to explore 2. I hate that I can barely find enough materials to repair my weapons after fighting off hordes of enemies. 3. Why are plans so hard to find for storage, I am out of space everywhere and for the life of me I've yet to come across a storage    Alright, I loved Fallout 3 and NV but this is just not good.

    After playing few hours my feeling was that Bethesda just don't care about getting dirty for a grab of money anymore. The company is ready to go really far.

    It feels like an artist who had 2 awesome songs suddenly has an ego of god. "I can do anything with my fans, I can literally crap in a plate and make them eat it and laugh at them".     It feels like an artist who had 2 awesome songs suddenly has an ego of god. "I can do anything with my fans, I can literally crap in a plate and make them eat it and laugh at them".

    Fallout 76's world is one of it's only bright spots, and obviously the only part Bethesda seemed to finished. This game is extremely rushed, bugs are rampant, the quests are repetitive, and exploits continue to spread.

    This game can be fun, but once you realize how everything works it becomes an absolute drag. In previous Bethesda games this has happened but made the game better for me, not worse.

    PVP is worthless, the only time it's fun is when you are tracking down a wanted person (as you can freely attack them).

    I don't agree with the Engine complaints, the engine poor performance is an issue, but it isn't what ruined this game (if anything I was impressived by the improvements they made to it). To bad all of that is lossed in a huge amount of bugs and graphical glitchs.

    This game is an beginning BETA state at best. It begins to crack quickly.

    Overall this game needs major imporvements to become worthwhile. This game needed another year atleast to be fully finished.

    The good: This game, if you go into without expecting to hate it, is fun for the first 20 hours (Before you realize the paper-thin facade). This length time is extremely short compared to bethesda usually play-times, but atleast I was able to get some fun out of it.    … Expand

Творчества никакого здесь нет, всё сосредоточено на выкачивании денег из игроков, и в дальнейшем это будет развиваться. Не буду в сотый раз писать про минусы этой "игры", это за меня уже сделали другие люди, повторяться незачем. Просто если вы собираетесь купить этот кусок програмного кода - одумайтесь. Пожалуйста, сохраните ваши деньги, ведь Bethesda вам их не вернёт. А вернуть вам их захочется, это 99,9 процентов. В этом куске програмного кода вы будете бегать (с тормозами лагами и фризами) по пустой карте, где не надо делать ничего. Где нет заданий. Возможно вам захочется разбить лагерь, где нибудь у реки, покрафтить, повыращивать мутафрукты кукурузу и тошку (для клея), то тогда имейте в виду, что когда вы выйдете из игры скорее всего всё это пропадёт. Оно всё будет в инвентаре, да, но отстраивать всё придётся по новой. А если пытаться перезаходить - то можете просто вылететь на рабочий стол.
    В общем и целом желаю всем благополучия, люди не тратьте деньги на это. Такой продукт нам не нужен.    … Expand

    Game breaking bugs, microtransactions, and a hollow world waiting for an actual game to be added. If you were disappointed with where fallout went after 4, you will be utterly heartbroken by this soulless husk masquerading as a game.

    I put about 100 hours into this game and did my best to give it a fair shot. While there was some glimmiers of hope for this game, it was plagued by poor design choices, a terrible engine, bad AI, and of course lots of game breaking bugs. I honestly spent 40% of my time just managing my inventory, the weights of items even with all of the weight reduction perks is crazy high. The stashI put about 100 hours into this game and did my best to give it a fair shot. While there was some glimmiers of hope for this game, it was plagued by poor design choices, a terrible engine, bad AI, and of course lots of game breaking bugs. I honestly spent 40% of my time just managing my inventory, the weights of items even with all of the weight reduction perks is crazy high. The stash limit pathetically low, and your own camp is pathetically small as well.

    I actually had the most fun when I used an exploit to remove any weight caps. No longer did I need the cards, no longer did I have to run to a camp every 15 minutes to figure what I could get rid of, instead I actually got to play the game. As of now that exploit is now patched, and now my incentive for playing the game is entirely gone.

    Doing missions that I couldn't finish got old. Trying to clear an area only to have an enemy stuck in the floor got old. There is no late game at launch, no actual feeling of factions, no focus. How is this a released game? This still feels like a beta.

    It's amazing how a loyal die hard customer like myself is now second guessing anything I buy from Bethesda. How badly did you have to screw up to make me feel that way?    … Expand

    Fallout 76 represents a big disappointment and the lowest point of the series so far. Riddled with bugs, repetitive and dull gameplay, nonexistent story and outdated graphics, it fails as a both multiplayer and singleplayer experience for fans and newcomers alike.

    Miracles do happen once in a while and No Man’s Sky proved that sometimes it is possible to get back on your feet even after a terrible failure. Right now though Fallout 76 is botched spectacularly on so many levels that even talking about this game is a waste of time. [01/2019, p.46]
