    This is a shameful release of a "AAA" game, cash grab that uses the Fallout name. This game is full of bugs, it has no content and it's full of microtransactions.

    The game graphically is ugly, by insisting on using an aged engine. Gameplay weak, Enemies give spawn behind you. Honestly it looks much more like a DLC than a new game. And the price is absurd for what delivers.

    It is buggy, old and abuse-able. Scripted events don't trigger in much the same fashion they didn't back in Oblivion, then Fallout 3, then Skyrim, then Fallout 4. The bugs. Oh god so many bugs. I think the main reason they removed friendly NPCs is because you could probably still put a basket over their head and rob them blind. A bit like Bethesda is trying to do with its customers. Although we all know they haven't included them because this engine/game wouldn't be able to handle them.

    It looks UGLY. My god is it ugly. Fallout 4 was too but they really doubled down on it here. Ramping up shaders a pretty game does not make.

    The gameplay is boring and uninspired with a story to match. The "main quest" is as pointless and mundane as the rest of the quests and if the ending to it shocks you we need to chat because you've not watched many films and I've got some classics we should watch.

    Bethesda have lost ALL my respect and from this point on, earning potential. Refund this game (You can do that regardless of their EULA/TOS if you live in a civilized country as your rights as a buyer are encased in Law.).

    Further more if you're giving this game a positive review and you've been paid to do it, nice one, can I have a job as a shill too? If you're defending this game or its overlord of your own free will out of some weird "brand loyalty" you need to get a grip on reality. This game is trash and your brand loyalty is gaining you nothing but terrible games because you are the enabling factor in why awful content like this continues to sell and thus continues to get made. Stand up for yourself and you will get better games.

I've found over 50 bugs in a weak. 30 in just 2 days srsly. Posting them with pictures etc. had several patches now and those bugs are still there and bothering me to death. The games logic is that the other person who logs in after the 1st one, has to rebuild his camp somewhere else ( WORST idea of all time ) you can't even choose a server you want to join. It could warn you before loging to this server that there is someone who has claimed your camp spot so you won't have to rebuild and look for a new spot. The funny part is that the game does not allow you to place your old camp as a blueprint. No matter how often I've reported this bug, it is still there. So I had to recycle my camp blueprint and start all over. Then the Building Budged went full BEFORE I even could finish my recized camp which is like 30% smaller and the Building Budged is already full. I lost my Turret but the Budged for this turred is still active. My character keeps forgetting blueprints which I've spend thousands of caps for. That annoying scorched beast which keeps speed hacking attacking you and following you like nothing else. This thing is EVERYwhere. Just attacked my base whith his 10 attacks per sond. Srly Bethesda this game makes allot of fun but it is also the most buggy game you ever made. Atleast Bug fixing would help with such heavy game breaking bugs but there are just alittle fixes or even worse like game crashing which was not an issue before a performance patch. Dropping items the bag disappears rlly often. Well atleast for me. The worst and totally redicolous thing is that your stash can handle 400 KG of scrap only. This is the worst problem about this game. I just lost 200 KG just because there is NO way to stash them. Now my base is damaged, my power armore etc. and I do not have enough scrap to repair it because of bugs which made me lose all my scrap I had with me. This game makes allot of fun but those bugs are killing all my fun and even will to contenue playing this game. I just hope I could refund this game by now.

    Been playing this game since the BETA and I am just sick of those bugs which keeps destroying my fun in this game. There is even no REPAIR button for your camp. No you have to destroy the parts which god hit by something to completely rebuild it which also costs scrap.

    But the music of the game ( not the radio ) is totally nice to hear while exploring the empty world.    … Expand

    Aweful graphics - lighting while rainy weather looks so bad, LOD textures are creepy and much more.
    Aweful lore - BoS, supermutants (I know that Howard got explaining for it, but it's a crap).
    Aweful survival system - eat, repair, grind, repeat.

    My only hope is modded private servers.

    To note I have bought the Tercentennial edition of this game and the collectors edition game guide in anticipation of this game, but this game is horrible. I can play for about an hour before I feel violently ill, and need to stop. As for the limited gameplay I have gathered post launch it is ok, vats is bad and needs a fix and the CAMPS are also bad and need fixing.

    I've been playing videogames since Atari, and though I rarely play AAA titles, my wife has loved watching me play F3, NV & F4, and her sister & bf also love them. So even though we were all worried about "online only" we were excited to at least run around together.

    This game is everything we feared it would be, except, amazingly, it's 10 times worse.

    Every aspect of the game reeks of "rush job". or "we did no work". Everything.

    --The UI does not work for "always on" gaming because when you're taking hits, you have no easy way to eat/drink/heal without going into the UI.

    But dying has almost no penalty, so once you figure this out you can just respawn forever until you've killed all the monsters.

    -As you've probably heard, there's using the same engine since Morrowind. How in the world can my PC, with a new GF2080, not get 60 FPS on this? On our GF 1080 machine, I had to put everything on LOW just to get it to start and not crash. HOW is this even possible??

    --Try VATS once, then try to tell me any thought or consideration went into this game.. A: How can you allow this auto-aim crap for PvP? B: It's ridiculous to have the gun facing AWAY from an enemy, push VATS and SHOOT, and you hit your target.

    --The way to initiate PvP is completely broken, because the attacked player has a huge advantage. P1 does almost no damage to P2 until P2 shoot backs. So P1 gets full damage. The only way PvP works is if you trick someone into shooting you first. But there's no incentive to use PvP at all in-game.

    --Having the quests revolve around holotapes is insane, because you never have time to sit around and listen when you get them. Either you're going to find another soon, or a note to read, or you're hearing other people on the mic, or you're simply playing the game and can't focus on them. I tried giving the story a chance but the game just does not let you immerse yourself. It doesn't seem interesting anyway, though.

    --Listen to the radio. A few new songs. THEN THE EXACT SAME SONGS YOU'VE HEARD FOR HOURS IN F4 ARE BACK. Lazy lazy LAZY. How hard is it to license new music for the setting of WV, if you didn't want to produce your own??

    --Even the act of friending/joining someone else's game is confusing, because it's not intuitive or explained.

    --People can't mod this & fix it. Thanks!

    F76 is basically all the parts of F4 that were mindless grinds (like never-ending quest series, building crap) but worse.

    I've been extremely disappointed by modern gaming "trends" ruining fantastic game series (e.g. MGSV, which is 80 hours of picking daises and about 2 hours of story) but this is the first time I'm kind of insulted by a game studio.
    Here's the MAIN thing, and why this game is so disappointing.

    There's a huge difference between a game that isn't very good, but is worth playing, and a game that is just completely banal, no fun, not creative, and not worth anyone's time.

    Sonic 06 is an infamously bad game -- tons of glitches, comically bad controls, etc. -- but it has heart and some redeeming qualities (music, cutscenes, and it's semi-fun once you understand the meta of how to get around the truly terrible controls).

    Lots of games are awful by objective standards, but once you get over their hurdles, can be enjoyable.

    F76 is completely soulless, as many have described it. Outside of the expansive map (there isn't much to actually do in it that's fun) and recreating WV, it seems NO work, thought of planning went into this.

    Bethesda knew they can sell it for $60, it'll make a profit, and all the people who review games for a living and are basically 3rd-party PR for games companies, will talk about it, be gentle with it, and not rip it to shreads. Because they couldn't care less about videogaming or us, the consumer.

    Don't feed the crap machine, please. For the love of God, if you care about videogames at all, DO NOT BUY THIS FOR $60.

    I'll get this for my wife and I for $20 or less for the sheer experience of having 1 game my wife will play with me, and she loves WV. We'll explore the map and then probably stop playing it, because it just isn't fun. There's no incentive to play it unless you just like collecting tape and screwdrivers.

    A 3/10 is more than fair. Bethesda has piled crap on us, the loyal FO fans, so I'm glad people are piling the crap on them. As someone who runs a special-events business I just don't understand how a company can just spit on their customer and then act like they should be grateful.

    GIVE people refunds who want one. STOP using this awful launcher (deleted my entire game on beta day! Nice!). MAKE IT UP to people who've trusted you, Bethesda.

    This is not a game that a Fallout fan should buy. Forget an interesting dislodge based story driving you to play. Instead Fallout 76 offers you quest markers. That's it. The game is a shoddily preforming mess that is barley worth a play as a free FO4 mod, definitely not worth your money. STAY AWAY.

With everything that made 3d Fallout games good ripped out of the game you can really see just how bad Bethesda's archaic game engine really is. If you want a Fallout game you'll be disappointed. If you want a good co-op game you'll be disappointed. If you want a good PvP game you'll be disappointed.This is the least competent game from a "AAA" game company I've ever personally played.     core of the game is good but its destroyed by minor but in long term , game breaking decisions ( like limited stash, fast hunger and thirst generation,NO TEXT CHAT,.......)

    First off, this game made me make a metacritic account just so I could rate it 0 stars. It is running (poorly) on a very old outdated engine that really can't handle and was not built for multiplayer. The bugs involved with the multiplayer make this game impossible to enjoy. If you are sure you really want this game, don't pay more than $10. Bethesda, I am not angry, I am just disappointed.

    This is the worst game in Fallout universe. I am totally dissapppointed - no atmosphere, no NPS, thousands of bugs. This is survival multiplayer shooter with cartoon graphik - not FallOut.

    The game is boring, hot keys control are not common and very annoying (constantly mix up tab with escape), no pause to think, no clear goal what to do next, just wandering as a homeless an collect empty cans.

    And moreover? why the hell I can't get a refund???

    Single player mechanics don't work in multiplayer. I can forgive bugs in single player, because on quick loads. Bubs ruins all. Can't enjoy this game. There is no reason for boss fight or pvp. Pay for fast travel. You have to loot but stash is extremely limited. Walking simulator. BUGS!BUGS!BUGS!BUGS!BUGS!

    IT'S JUST DON'T WORKS. AT ALL.

    Graphics are a decade old, interface is anti-intuative, combat is boring, horrid AI, locked FPS @ 63, and getting that can be a chore and and and.

    Too many bugs at launch. It would be quicker to list the things that are not broken. Which is a very short list.

    They took an ancient single player gaming engine and forced it into something it is not and it didn't work. The code is so bad, some XBOX players report it overheats and shuts down their system. Some kind of memory leak or CPU loop. I suspect that many of the problems are technically unfix-able. If they could open up the game to modders, since it is based on the FO4 game, things could quickly be brought under control and an OK game might emerge. Thing is, that will not happen for a year and only on private servers which they will charge for.

    Some good elements when playing with friends, if you can get that feature to work, since it is really buggie. But even this system is woefully broken. To do a quest together, you both need to be at the same point in the quest, otherwise only one member benefits.

    In it's current state, it is unplayable and a 3/10 is generous. 10 years ago, fix all the bugs and I would consider a 6/10. By today's standards, it just does not make the grade -

    I will follow the game to see if they can bash it into something reasonable, or wait to see if private servers are worth the effort. I suspect the cost of this will drop and servers will be free or privately hosted - charging money for this game is borderline criminal.    … Expand

    Not really sure what they were smoking when they decided this was a good idea. Not only is it using the same bug infested engine from ages ago. Btw, most of the game is client side so cheating is super easy and rampant before the game was even released. Highly recommend you spend your money elsewhere.

    4. Crafting. First time, that is good thing.
    5. It isnt on Steam. You must use their launcher and it is broken. Always:)

    So if you want play Fallout, just play 1,2, New Vegas or in some ways 4 or 3. Still better then this ****    … Expand

Settlement build or workshop claim to often generates an instantly raid of the creatures, sometimes ferals, but often scorched or anglers. No sense of logic how the game decide what creatures attack.     Pretty good casual game.
    In this game you can really play and have fun. But technically, the game is very bad. A lot of bugs. Very few new items and mechanic in contrast to the F4. The game is not tuned for multiplayer. I do not know what the developers have been doing for 4 years, but definitely not the work. I’ll add: terrible organization and zero support to the player    3/10

This focus on interaction with other players is a bad idea, as most players either stay away from others for fear of PVP or try and kill each other, and there is no good way to communicate since there is no text chat or push to talk, its all of your mic all the time. Microtransactions are abhorrent in a 60$ game, and the gameplay gets extremely grindy once you hit level 25. Settlements are limited and the inability to craft storage not tied to your stash makes no sense. Not worth full price, and not even worth the 42$ you can get it for on a CDkey site right now. If it gets some major content updates in the future and the issues get fixed it has the potential to be a decent fallout based survival game… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Fallout 76 fails on three fronts. First and foremost, as a game, it's bland and uninteresting. The gameplay loop isn't interesting, the gunplay is boring to brain dead, and the while the world is relatively good looking, it is not interesting, The game is a mechanical mess, with little to no work put into balancing (enemies 25 levels above you are rarely a challenge due to failing ai, and general quality of life work is poor to nonexistent (quests such as collect ten empty beer bottles and a limit stash which inhibits the only core feedback loop). Finally the game doesn't add anything to the fallout series, it isn't fun, it doesn't make sense lore wise, the co-op is not fun or enjoyable, and overall it just makes me worry about the future of the fallout series.… Expand

    Revisted my review after several months. Even with changed it's even worse. The recent announcement of Repair kits in ATOM store only had me login just to update my comments and drop my score. Most items I've calling out below are still true. I'm a long time fan of the Fallout series and was excited to see this new online version hit the streets. I'm a long time fan of the Fallout series and was excited to see this new online version hit the streets. Watched all the videos and learned all the "Before B.E.T.A." details I could fine. I broke down and created a Metacritic account for the first time just to provide feedback as a LOT of folks are stating this game is getting negative bombed. Well - it sort of deserves some of the negative feedback based on it's $60 for a "New" game, but we got sort of the same things we had in Fallout 4 + DLC.

    I'm not giving this a high score as I feel like it's still in BETA and should have seen BETA 2 months ago to course correct all the major items they are now starting to address as targets to be completed this year.

    My major issues with the game include the following:

    1. Stash Capacity has to be my #1 issue with this game. For a game that requires you to constantly Eat, Drink, Heal, Upgrade Gear and fix your gear you would think an unlimited Stash would have been default.

    2. BUGS - lots of baddies getting head stretched out and/or can't see them. Gun shots going off and nobody is nearby. Hammering noise from certain direction of map (No matter where I go on Map).

    3. Base CAMP has major issues with blueprint storage, duplicate issues, over capacity, etc. When I'm over budget and delete several items and still can't even put a bed down - it's a big problem.

    4. Voice active by default and no Push to Talk (Coming soon), but this was mind blowing to me.

    5. Costs of repairing is not in line with the realistic number of items you find. Same is true with Vendors and CAPS not being realistically available. (I buy 200 caps of items then they have 200 more caps I can sell stuff against)

    6. Server Disconnects really punish the player in this game. If you are in the middle of a quest you come back into another server and no accomplishments. If you happen to just capture, repair and upgrade a massive resource node and Disconnect (You are going to hate this game then). I've spent time collecting materials to build out a resource base only to have a disconnect lose everything.

    7. This game - looks like Fallout 4 with updated mechanics for Events and Online play. The engine and most of the textures seem near identical to our FO4 games.

    8. Can't play with my XBOX friends (I'm on a PC) and we have tried multiple tricks and even a couple forum post tricks with no luck (maybe it's broken or maybe it's just never going to happen). Playing cross PC/Xbox with friends is about the only "Cool" thing with this right now and it's not working.

    Most of these items are negative in nature and I'm not here to just slam on the game. I think it has some great potential, but right now it's really still in BETA for those that started playing on Launch day and we really saw "Alpha v2.0" during the limited BETA periods. I'd wait at least a couple months (2019) before purchasing this game as it's got some major issues to resolve first.    … Expand

The servers barely work half the time, I’m constantly getting kicked out.     Nuke codes, on the other hand, stink of hastily bolted in end-game/raid mechanic to appease the needs of anyone who actually manages to stick with the game long enough to need an end game mechanic.

    The enemies are pretty lackluster, and boring.

    The Vats system is so watered down, its pointless. The Special system, Isnt.

    The camp system takes the FO 4 outpost system and turns it into a money sink of a portable crafting system that no one with half a brain has any reason or inclination to use.

    In a game where the greatest "risk" is loosing 10-20mins of progress to one of the games intermittent, unpredictable server hiccups, it shouldn't come as any surprise that the "reward" is similarly lackluster.

    If you're looking for a multiplayer crafting/survival game, try 7 days to die or rust for a much better experience.

    If you're looking for Fallout, this isnt it. If it wasnt for the skins, music and Bethesda's marketting budget, this would just be another in a long line of really shoddy "to avoid" early access titles that no one would bother playing any more.

    At best, its a fallout 4 expansion, and you should steer well clear till its priced accordingly.    … Expand

After about 6 hours of game play I'm done. I'm already tired of playing this game. If you were looking for the next beautifully crafted Fallout game, this isn't it.     Just read all those negatives review, this time they are relevant...
    I've underscored the game a bit considering the hype and the AAA title.
    If it was produced by some lambda company and if this game was not a sequel it would deserve a 4, maybe 5.

No NPC's with any kind of memorable features to them, all generic robots. They replaced all the good enemies in other games with The Scorched. So some doofus at Bethesda thought to remove all people from Fallout series, even from the enemies was a good ideal. The game is not stable, the enemies are boring and stupid (as in the AI). Todd Howard said the game would have a story and quests. The quests are extremely boring, and to even get a quest, you have to talk to a deadpan, characterless featureless robot with no personality, or get a quest from a terminal, or a random scrap of paper on the ground. Players cheated to launch nukes on the first day of the game's launch, something that was supposed to take weeks or months to do, crashing a server on day one. There is no push to talk voice communication in the game, even weeks after the launch of the first online-only Fallout game. We were promised a game that had, memorable stories and quests, that was a flat out lie. We were told the game engine was enhanced and new, also another lie, they simply built upon the Fallout 4 game engine, it is obvious just looking at the game. Grouping in the game can only be done if you can actually find a group of people willing to group up, which does not always happen. Solo play in the game is a joke as well, even though Todd Howard said you could solo play, as in ignoring the other players on the server with you, it isn't actually a feature. You can 'Solo' play in WoW but that isn't something you actually want to do, it feels the same in Fallout 76. This is the worst game Bethesda has released so far, and it is plainly obvious they released it in a fractionally finished state. Graphical bugs galore everywhere, light sources coming straight out of the ground, from inside of a tree or object instead of from the sun, or an actual light source, falling through the ground has happened numerous times as well. I truly regret buying this game as I feel as though I have been had by the E3 presentation as the game is nothing like I was told it would be. For now, I give this game 0 out of 10 in its current state.… Expand

    I'm not going to expand on the hundreds of bugs i have yet encountered (CAMP issues, duplicate items, weapons reload issues, vanishing items, invisible enemies and countless others which make my gaming time not fun when i have to relaunch the game every 20 minutes, or when it crashes every hour or so...).
    It is almost one month after release and most big issues are not yet corrected.

    Anyway here my pros and cons :
    Pros:
    - huge beautiful world,
    - many locations to discover,
    - new perk card system (i like the fact that the SPECIAL are again limited),
    - legendary items farming.

    Cons :
    - no npc,
    - very poor atmosphere (reading terminals and listening to holotapes is not rich world background),
    - no impact on game world at all,
    - extremely poor high level content, it is just a farming game in the end,
    - very bad UI for CAMP, even worse than in Fallout4, not designed for PC users for sure but just for console,
    - perk system (again yes, but this time because you cant choose perks you want, it is randomly given to you, you must hope you get the right card. Anyway you get access to all cards at level 50, i had to wait till this level to get some BASIC cards for my play style like for rifleman perks... this is not good at all, i want to develop a character the way i want, not thanks to random card drops!!!). Also swapping perks every 3 minutes because you need to do something or you need to use another kind of weapon is really annoying.
    - very bad player interaction (no chat, no player vendor...),
    - it feels like a Fallout 4 mod, same assets, just revamped visuals, and it is 3 years after Fallout4,
    - every items from Fallout4 and DLCs are here, makes lore not really consistent with other games, when the nuke fell just few decades ago. IE trapper armor from Far Harbor is found in appalachia.
    - no AZERTY keyboard support again in CAMP mode (was like this already in FALLOUT4), not possible to remap keys for CAMP mode, so with a french keyboard i just cant move forward or left, without switching to QWERTY everytime i want to build my camp.
    - Many bugs from Fallout4 STILL present in Fallout76, this is not acceptable at all...
    - i'm running on fiber optic internet 1gb/s, and still i get too much disconnected... some servers are laggy as hell when some others are just fine.

    But i keep playing it, level 103 at this time, i just hope most issues are going to be fixed soon. So far the road map for patches is not very promising...

    Unfortunately, even if most bugs are fixed, some core design decisions are probably not going to change so this make this Fallout quite dull in the end.

    At the time of this review, i consider that the game is still in BETA stage.

I am not sure if I will ever buy a Bethesda game again. Shame Bethesda, you sold a piece of garbage for full price and lied at E3 about everything working.

    I've given this game a zero due to the sheer audacity of its existence. The arrogance and shamelessness of the blatant cash grab attempt. Marketing filled with lies when no effort went into this game. Meanwhile it has fully functional micro-transactions at disgusting prices. They also need punishing for coming up with the most flawed pvp system of all time.

    This game is trash, I have a gtx 1080ti, 32gb of ram, and an amd threadripper and the game has crashed on me 5 times. It looks terrible and it barely has a story. The only way to have fun with that game is when you Play with Friends in a Party Chat and just explore the World of Fallout 76 but no matter how big of an Fallout Fan you are, do not pay 60€-90€ for that Game, a good Price would be 30€.     And the day came, and with it the disappointment, the frustration, the sadness, the feeling of being deceived. But even there, I still tried to enjoy the game, tried to forget problems and bugs, tried to play, explore and have fun. The weeks passed, the patchs, fixes and updates arrived and little changed, and I kept going but the game continue the same, nothing changed.

    Today, maybe after 100 hours since i started my journey, after trying almost everything there the game has to offer and explore every corner of the map, after have read and seen so much about this game, I think I can review it properly.
    I'm trying to ponder what I write and not do a review in fury, but so little good I have to write.
    I feel we were deceived by Bethesda, the game was not ready, and even if it transforms in the next few months Bethesda is not a small company, that may need to rush a game for financial reasons, that may not have the money or human resources to create a quality product, ready from day one. Is unacceptable and incomprehensible.

    I'm not going to talk much about the bugs, but everyone knows that many of them were already on Fallout 4 and many of them the community corrected with mods. I'm not going to talk much about server instability, crashes and technical problems. I'm not even go talk about the absurd prices on the Atomic Store.
    I only want to talk about the lack of NPCs and the game history, which are very interconnected, and which are what I miss most against the other Bethesda games. Bethesda used the justification to the lack of NPC's was something innovative, but the argument seems more like a justification for an unfinished work that no one wanted to finish. Obviously it's easier to say that is "part of the picture", that is working as intended than completing what is missing.
    And this lack of NPC's affects the story a lot, after a short time the history becomes so predictable in any quest line that I believe even Bethesda realized that and quit to continue to extend the quest lines, as we were used to on the previous Fallout games.

    Unfortunately I have to agree with many others who dislike the game, the point where it is. And recommend anyone interested in the game to try another game, and hope that someday Bethesda can deliver us what they really promised us.    … Expand

This game was no where near finished when they pushed it to release. Even if this game ever had a future or ever could have been good, I don't care. I will never buy another bethesda game again, and I own all the fallout games, and several other Bethesda titles, but after how they have conducted business here you can count me out, you have lost a loyal customer.… Expand

    rage quit time. this game is nothing but grind, without an interesting plot. frustrating because everything breaks, but you have a storage limit for the very stuff that will let you repair weapons and armor. all you do is walk around trying to collect resources all the while being shot at, and then.... your gun breaks. totally frustrating and buggy game

    Bethesda a company I love, is becoming Bungie, a company I hate. This game is lackluster. But the bamboozling of Bethesda on the Collectors Stuff is really enough. They better not do this to the Elder Scrolls series or I will never buy a Bethesda game again.

    but i am a fan of the game and for now i will keep playing and hoping things get fixed but when you get to the what feels like the end after a week of playing its was not worth what i payed for it    … Expand

    Copy paste from Fallout 4, add in a bucketload of bugs so that it's basically unplayable, take out all the NPCs and story that made it interesting. You get Fallout 76, a boring complete waste of time. Thanks Todd for No Man Skying the Fallout series. Never buying Bethesda again.

    Right off the bat, it is a buggy and laggy mess. The only thing I found to be fun or cool about this game, was the new creatures they had introduced. I would never be able to recommend this game to anyone, if I did so, I would be lying to there face by calling it a good game. Bethesda really missed the mark with Fallout 76. I do hope that they do not release buggy unfinished games in the future.

The Fps spikes on console makes you only able to use semi-auto or slow shooting fully automatic guns. The pvp system needs a lot of work, respawns shouldn't be right next to the other player also when PvPing on console the game crashes or experiences lagAfter playing the game for 50+ hours I feel like there's not much content left.     What can I add that hasn't already been pointed out by every other person who's spent any amount of time playing the game? It's a terrible experience. The engine is no better than older Fallout games, it's full of bugs, and did not make the transition to an online game well at all. I will not be buying another Bethesda game in the foreseeable future.

    I repent it, preordering Fallout 76. Because not a month after release, you can buy it for 20 Euros. The game is a bit fun, but the bugs, the leveling system and the enemy-spawning-system annoys me. But also i give a bit hope in this game, because i trust the developing studio do make a better 76 in the future. My recommendation: Do not buy it NOW!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I played Fallout 3, New Vegas and Fallout 4 they all had stories, some had better ones some less good ones. My point is that the "story" in Fallout 76 isn't really existing. I had no desire of following it.
    Then there are the many bugs i already had, and that even after the game finished beta which is there to find the bugs and get them out of teh game, but even after the beta ita had more bugs than Skyrim and Fallout 4 together. I liked the online feature which is the only reason I gave it any points at all but after about 20 hours of playtime I got a bug which kicked me out of every friends list and I couldn't even send my friends a friend request to get them back on my list/to get me on their friends list again. At this point I lost all hope in this game and stopped playing it after a last hour of playtime. There was no interesting story to follow without friends and there was no fun with friends.
    I think Bethesda can do much better than that, shame on you Bethesda.    … Expand

    This game is not finished. They have not implemented any gameplay features beyond killing scorched, ghouls, rats, or super mutants that each have a different number above their head. The only difference in enemies is their level. You can't use certain tire irons or baseball bats until you've grinded the game for enough weeks to surpass level 50

    Fallout 76 represents a big disappointment and the lowest point of the series so far. Riddled with bugs, repetitive and dull gameplay, nonexistent story and outdated graphics, it fails as a both multiplayer and singleplayer experience for fans and newcomers alike.

    Miracles do happen once in a while and No Man’s Sky proved that sometimes it is possible to get back on your feet even after a terrible failure. Right now though Fallout 76 is botched spectacularly on so many levels that even talking about this game is a waste of time. [01/2019, p.46]
