Don't buy it. Don't feed shameless, greed machine. Just don't buy it. Bethesda ruined its own gaming gem. Fallout 4 was very shallow game and Fallout 76 is ultimate disaster. So horrible relation towards buyers and fans. Bethesda, shame on you.

Worst Fallout game in existence? Yes.

The lies, the false advertising and the fact this game is just boring to a new level.

Fanboys will always give it a 10, ignore them.

I've played every fallout and this has made me extremely disappointed.

Time to do what I do with EA, not buy their products anymore.

I like Bethesda, oblivion is my favourite game and i'm bias toward it, but still,i'm not against Bethesda just because, not a hater at all.
Fallout 76 is Fallout without interesting or compelling quests, no npc, only quest giver computers or robot, the game is hollow, no main story, all you can do is killing enemies and building a base. No jokes, that's litterally everything you can do.

Playing solo is honestly depressing because it is literally like playing a mmorpg alone with no life in the world. "Human interaction" is nuance is fun in the first 30 minutes and then completely ruin the immersion because you fast realize there is no purpose in the game whatsoever and will find many many players just laughing or screaming, making noise in voice chat (no push to talk). No pvp because the only thing you can do is shoot to an enemy, dealing 1% of dmg and by doing this you send a duel invitation. PvP is literally just duels. There isn't the sense of survivng or constant threat that ANY other survival online can give you, because you cannot be killed by anyone iif you don't want to and viceversa. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP.

Fallout 76 is horrible. For those that are like me, and expected a Fallout 4 experience with multiplayer, you'll be EXTREMELY disappointed. Fallout 76 is horrible. For those that are like me, and expected a Fallout 4 experience with multiplayer, you'll be EXTREMELY disappointed. This game is much more like a bad Fortnite clone with Super Mutants. The graphics show no improvement at all over Fallout 4. The sounds and music are uninspired and lack emotion.

Now that we've gone over the good things about Fallout 76, let's go over the bad:

First and foremost is that the world is EMPTY! After looking for hours for a civilization, I found nothing. Not a single place that could pass for a settlement. There are no NPCs for you to interact with. There's nothing to give the game life. It literally throws a bunch of random players together and says "have at." The quests are boring and when you go farming monsters, they respawn faster than MMORPGs.

Now let's look at story. The story is this: follow the overseer, but we're not going to give any sort of guidance or hints, or anything. It's like playing the original Legend of Zelda with no shops, old men and women, or just about anything else that you can interact with but it's on a map the size of The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall and dead enemies come back before you get a chance to get across the screen.

Next we have the glitches. Now Bethesda games have always been buggy. At this time, we expect their games to have a lot of bugs in them. Never before has any of their games done what Fallout 76 does. They've never completely destroyed what minuscule amount of immersion you might have with Fallout 76 by having random burned corpses and Brahamin spawn with their asses hanging out of ovens. This may be comical at first, but after seeing it repeated over and over again, it destroys your experience if you're even able to have one.

This game is purely meant for online multiplayer. It's honestly the only way that you're going to get any sort of enjoyment at all out of this game. The bad thing is that the multiplayer on PC and PS4 is completely unstable. The EXTREMELY bad and dangerous thing is that in both PC and PS4 versions, Bethesda makes absolutely no attempt to secure your IP address or account information. The information is unencrypted and anyone with the most basic transfer interception software will get full access to PSN/Steam user information, game license information, IP addresses and whatever else they want to pull up on you or anyone else in the session. Bethesda does absolutely nothing to protect you while you play this game.

Overall, Fallout 76 was a game that I expected to have bugs, but still be fun and exciting while keeping true to the Fallout experience. What I got was barely functioning piece of **** that has nothing to do with Fallout other than being set in a wasteland and having the Fallout brand name. When I found out about the completely open user information for everyone in a session, I immediately deleted my copies and changed all my passwords.

This game was a complete waste of money. I will give Bethesda one last shot with Elder Scrolls 6. If they do to that, what they did with Fallout 76, I'll be absolutely livid and will never purchase anything made by them again.

Fallout 76 is an empty soulless pitiful excuse of a Fallout game that should've never come to be in the first place. Bethesda showed with Fallout 4 they we're pushing for a direction where they forced the players hands in the story but now this is far FAR worse than anyone of us could've anticipated. I really REALLY wanted 76 to be good, I've been wanting coop fallout for years now butFallout 76 is an empty soulless pitiful excuse of a Fallout game that should've never come to be in the first place. Bethesda showed with Fallout 4 they we're pushing for a direction where they forced the players hands in the story but now this is far FAR worse than anyone of us could've anticipated. I really REALLY wanted 76 to be good, I've been wanting coop fallout for years now but Bethesda completely misinterpreted what the customers wanted here. When we wanted fallout multiplayer we meant a co-op option for the story, not a bunch of people running around the world doing their own thing. And even the story for this game is at best mediocre. Linear side quests that tell you to find this to get this or find this to kill this. Even the main story has you following a pattern of find me here, find me here, find me here and they're never there! Fallout was meant to be a open world RPG with in depth story and lore. This game feels like they put in 1/8th the work compared to previous titles. The game lacks freedom of choice beyond finding a quest and doing it, previous titles gave you options to have a morale compass of good bad or neutral before 4 but since then it's been a problem that only became bigger in this title. The world feels like it's empty and souless like they finished world building and said whatever to the rest of it and dropped some enemies in and robot vendors. Fallout 76 along with Diablo Immortal show how disconnected game production companies have pushed away the fans in the pursuit of money.

    Verdict;
Go spend your hard earned money on something that isn't full retail early access garbage. Pick up a copy of RDR2, Witcher 3 or hell, if this is your first fallout game go pick up 3 or NV and you'll truly understand how awful of a job Bethesda did.

At level 5, with the help of another level 5 player, we managed to defeat a level 35 monster. They forced the hunger and thirst mechanics on everybody which I'm pretty sure no one asked for.

It looks and feels like a fallout game, which is kinda cool. Hopefully, they'll go back to the drawing board with this and bring back NPCs, add some quest lines with any kind of interesting narrative. I 100% regret not waiting for more reviews and the subsequent major DLC/patch that will (hopefully) make the game feel like more than a simple proof of concept waiting to be fleshed-out.

To everyone reading this, ask yourself this question now: Is there any element from my Fallout 76 experience that stood out in any positive way?
My answer: no. There wasn't a single positive element of this game that made me go "wow", made me excited, or immersed me completely in the moment. Not one. Onto the review:

Note: None of the mechanical or performace elements are based on the B.E.T.A.
Note 2: it's just my personal experience of the game, this won't include things like the "security" debacle that seems to be full swing (I haven't had any security issues yet)
Note 3: This game may have "Fallout" in it's title, but I won't be comparing it to other Fallout games (except the lore), it's just too different.
So let's break down each element into a summed up review:

Story: There isn't one. There really isn't.

Lore: Butchered. So much in this contradicts previously established lore. You can handle things being retconned if there is a legitimate and justified story/narrative reason for doing so. Bethesda has changed things just so that they can shove enemies, symbols and other things that tickle your nostalgia into the game for zero justifiable reasons. In my personal opinion this is the WORST part of the entire game, because it not only ruins my fun in this game, but potentially ruins my ability to enjoy the previous games because of the changes.

NPC's: There aren't any. There really aren't. You get a couple of robots that aren't utterly lifeless. That's it.

Quests: Every single quest in this game feels like a randomly generated fetch quest. It's that bad.

World/Worldbuilding: Reasonable, I'd give them a point for this if it wasn't completely ruined by the overwhelming feeling of emptiness you experience as you run around. Perhaps if there were more players, like 3-4x as many players per server, things would be better. But that's speculation, and there isn't.

Combat: Mechanically fine, one of the few things that doesn't immediately frustrate you. Not great or revolutionary though, just fine. You will however likely get totally bored with killing the same few enemies hundreds of times over. Made worse by the respawn rate of enemies meaning in the space of half an hour you can clear the same area of the same enemies as many as 5 times. It's clear they tried to fix this by adding the unique bosses/spawns, but it simply doesn't do enough as they are too few and far between.

Ambiance/Environment: good at times. Perhaps the only element of this entire game that you could say was good, and that's only some of the time. Graphical bugs break what little good environment building exists.

Graphics: antiquated in 2015 when Fallout 4 came out, now they're ancient.
-One of my friends has ultra widescreen and there's no support for it at all, meaning the resolution is forced to full still. What does that mean? The whole game is stretched on his monitor making it virtually unplayable.

Performance: terrible. I have an above-average PC and my FPS is terrible, but considering Bethesda limits your FPS to 62.5 Maximum, I'm not missing out on much. I haven't crashed yet, so that's new in a BGS game. Others probably aren't so lucky.

UI/Controls: ported from console, downright unusable at times. Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. I've been complaining about this for YEARS. There is no excuse for this anymore. Bethesda should be making proper PC HUDs and UIs.
-PIPboy HUD is immersive and totally fine in a singleplayer game. Not at all in a game where you can't pause when it opens. It is too slow to navigate and might lead to you getting killed constantly if the game was even remotely difficult.

Difficulty: Once you get to level 6 or 7, you basically become invincible. Not joking. Just ignore where you're supposed to go, and go kill enemies 3-4x your level. I did. Maybe you can't do this with a controller, but with a mouse and keyboard there is no challenge for me.

PvP/multiplayer: I can't even start talking about this without getting upset and going on a rant. I'll just say this: the worst PvP system I have ever seen in my life.

PvE/multiplayer: The only other redeeming quality of this game. You can pop a few beers and have fun with friends laughing at bugs, terrible writing and other players doing/saying dumb things.

The saving grace of Bethesda games up to this point is the skilled and dedicated Modding community coming in and fixing the deficits of the product. Not only does this game not have real modding capability, but it's not a base game that inspires people to spend hundreds of hours fixing things.

    Plus sides:
+The occasional fun moment with some friends, that wears off in the first couple of hours though.
+The occasional environment or ambient or setting

    Negatives:
    - Just about everything else.

Final Score: 2/10, and that's generous. As much as it saddens me to say this about anything Fallout: just save your money.

This results in constant skipping of holotapes - the ONLY acted contribution to an otherwise empty game. This is to say nothing of the animation issues - monsters sometimes don't animate at all, and just slide around in fixed sprite position like chess pieces. I have played them all since the release of the first FallOut, always trying to finish the game to 100%. Now they add this horrible version known as FallOut 76. It is indeed, the worst in the series I have played. This has ruined the FallOut saga for me.

Fallout 76 is not what I expected from my initial purchase. The game seems like it is a last gen title. A downgrade not an upgrade. It seems bethesda knows only how to make single player games. Stick to their other titles. I have not even seen an official apology from bethesda but hopefully some ammends can be made as paying full price for a last gen game is not fair.

Bethesda should never have released the game like this. They have taken everything out of the game for what Fallout stands and have replaced it with multiplayer mechanics that they apparently do not even understand.

Eh. I don't care for it. It simply isn't Fallout. They should have named it something different, and that would have been fine. This reminds me of the time Sim City went online only and destroyed the franchise. I really hope this is a blip on the radar.

    1 - Buggy unfinished game
2 - MMOs are not what fans wanted, you can tell all the lies you want Bethesda, we never wanted a MMO (know you customers Bethesda)
3 - Boring grind fest (guns falling apart is the laziest mechanic ever, why even bother finding or crafting a super weapon, it will just fall apart)
4 - Level restrictions on gear is dumb, there are many smarter mechanics to use (gear effectiveness depends on stats, so if a level 1 person uses a rocket launcher, it does 10 damage, stat multiplies by gun stat, and 200 damage when a level 20 person uses that same weapon)
    5 - too easy
6 - Bad engine, aged terribly
7 - Bad near inexistant story and that is not due to the lack of NPCs
    8 - horrible PVP e boring PVE
9 -Bad textures (just hire modders from the community, they always do a better job then Bethesda people)
10 -bad graphics, looks like a last generation game, this has sub par PS3 graphics at best

If you do this Fallout 5 your company will go bankrupt!

I know people have complained about the graphics. I'm disappointed they didn't improve, but I love Fallout 4, so it wasn't important to me.

in one day of playing, the game crashed twice. I had one visual bug. I expect these to be fixed over the next few months.

My real grips are the following:
Limits - I can't carry much, so I'll put it in storage. I can't put it in storage, so I will build a bigger base. I can't build a bigger base, because I already hit the base limit on day one. And since I can't have a companion, I lost more carrying capacity again

No interaction - No choices to be made. No good or bad decisions. It is a set story line and boring.

Scorched - Is there anything in this game other than scorched? They are everywhere. It feels like Bethesda didn't spend the time to create anything else.

So this is how my adventure goes, I plan out my camp location weeks before the game starts. Loved that spot for about over 3 weeks.

Yet seems there is a glitch, when C.A.M.P.'s get too crowded or near other camps, they delete camps.

So mine got deleted this morning.

So I decided to move camp to area I been looking forward to moving to anyway…

Encountered way too many high level enemies to set up shop. (I am just about Lvl 30)

Second area was on a cliff, near by some tough enemies to some, but I should be able to deal with.

    Leave because Maintenance

And return to a Super mutant that is glitched under my tent, and is able to see me across the map.

Literally running out of Options I decide to set up C.A.M.P. in the behind the Summer Villas

(Enemies here are literally lvl 15 to lvl 1)

And my home was destroyed by a Big Bat literally seconds after setting it up.

Now I have nothing and no where to set up C.A.M.P.

    Game Over I guess.

Literally can't play without a C.A.M.P. ..... What make angry more is how much was shared between Fallout 4 during development and how that likely made Fallout 4 worst because of it.

They really should have never planned to do this game.

I've always had a soft spot for the Fallout universe and the particular humor in the stories contained within. Even when Bethesda took the reigns I personally think they have been a responsible custodian to the franchise. Then came Fallout 76. It really feels hollow and lonely. The lack of NPC's is a really poor choice. It feels like the world is dead and its hard getting the motivation to explore somewhere because you know that its just going to be more of the same. You'll find a holotape or talk to a monotone robot drivel on about something you could care less about. There really is no human connection or interesting characters to care about. "Story" aside. The bugs. Oh my god the bugs. I've been beat down by invincible enemies, invisible enemies, teleporting enemies, and magically respawning enemies. Even when I finally make it through a zone somehow to progress on a questline I'll magically be disconnected. Then when I log back in my quest progress is nullified and now I'm on a different server with all the mobs respawned. I have items missing from my camp, junk magically disappearing, item carry weight bugs, perk cards missing, and worse frame rate with every update. This is definitely the last Bethesda game I preorder. The Bethesda bugs are no longer funny to me. Someone else can be the Beta guinea pig. The solitary funny thing about all this is that this game played better in "Beta". I wish I could get a refund at this point so I can buy this game when it actually comes out for real. Expand

From a genre perspective.... rust, ark, the forest, Conan exiles, subnautica (not a fan but have heard and seen great things about it), don’t starve, and etc. literally any other survival game does what fallout wants to do but 100x better. this was just a small explanation for those who ask why i even rate the game without even playing or having it. and the reason why i only give it a 3 out of 10 is simply because of its technical state. if you do some research, watch soem streams or youtube videos, you will see that the game is super ugly for a 2018 game. it has the same technical problems like all the other bethestda games. the performance is awefull. i wouldnt even care about this game if it would come from a indie developer, but we are talking about a multi billion dolla company here. releasing a product in such a terrible technical state is unaccaptable. the technical quality is something you would expect from a indie pre pre alpha no name developer annd not from a AAA producer.

After chewing on this crap sandwich for over three days and building a character to level 20 I had to spit it out and walk away. I just can't lie to myself any longer. This game is terrible! It's not even a game. It honestly reminds me of when I was a child and saved up $30-$40 to buy a new nintendo game only to get stuck with a total bomb that was completely unplayable. Everything bad you have read or heard about this game is true. I spent hours getting settlements set up only to be disconnected when servers crashed and lost everything.

    Quest bugs are everywhere!
Load times are worse than Fallout 4 in survival mode!
    Loot storage caps are unbearable!
    PVP is a total joke!
The game is WAY too easy
Quest from holo tapes is annoying and unrewarding

Everything bad you have heard and more are true. I honestly think all the good reviews are written by staff members and share holders. Don't waste $60 on this game please. I wasted $120 because I bought it on PS4 and Xbox1 because oh yeah, you can't play with friends across platforms either. And another $59.99 to renew my PS4 Online pass, so I'm $180 in the hole for this abomination. If you really think you want to try this game just wait a few more weeks and you can buy !0,000 copies of it used at Gamestop in a few weeks for $2.99 because everyone is going to try to get whatever money they can back before it"s too late to sell it.

If this game had been released as a disk based title with no way to update it online like games used to be made, there would be riots in stores with people demanding their money back! How can a "game studio" release such an epic title in such horrible condition? Yes, we all want the newest version of the games we love but WTF were they thinking they could cram this down our throats and we would just eat it? Don't give me the "this is a beta" or "it's only opening week" BS!!! Bethesda thinks they are going to reboot, repackage, copy and paste another title with a new map and rob their customers and fans of million of dollars!

I'm sure hundreds of people worked their asses off to get this game "ready" for release but SERIOUSLY?!?!?! You knew this game wasn't even close to being ready and you pushed it out anyway. Now they are saying they are getting review bombed. Well guess what? I wouldn't have time to write this review if YOU HADN'T DROPPED THIS FLAMING PILE OF SH!T ON ME!!!! I would be spending countless hours enjoying a game I loved, playing online with my friends like you told us we could. But i'm not, cause when we get a group together, we keep getting dropped cause the servers keep crashing and reloading.

I should really be thanking Bethesda for curing me of this addiction to Fallout. If this game had been half as good as previous versions I would have spent thousands of hours playing online instead of spending time with my wife and kid. But after 20 hours of ignoring them and TRYING to like this game, I just can't do it. I would rather sit with my wife and watch The Bachelor or some other God Awful show on the Oprah network.

The game play, bugs and glitches and graphics issues aside is just horrible. The card system is pretty cool but you get random cards and have no way to "build a character" like you usually do in a fallout game. Imagine leveling up in Fallout 4 and just spinning a wheel to see what perk you get next. Oh WOW i just looted an awesome weapon, too bad I have to be level 30 to equip it. I'll just save it for later but oh wait, my stash is already full cause I can't craft anything useful till I find some plans for a GD weapon that I already looted 400 times and broke down for parts! I guess I'll just go kill another 10,000 scorched that keep re-spawning in my face every ten seconds and hope one of them drops something useful. NOPE just another A-D block, that's f-ing useful if Shawn was still a kid not a senior citizen. Building your own camp is kinda cool, till the server resets and you lose everything you built and have to start over. Taking a settlement for resources is great, till you logout and lose your progress. Or you invest tons of resources into it and some massive mob attacks it while your trying to complete a timed quest and destroys everything and you can't rebuild cause I'm out of junk!

This game should have never been released in this condition. It can't be fixed with patches that are bigger than the original version of the game. It is flawed from the ground up and needed years more of work to make it playable. Bethesda has lost all credibility and I will never give them another dime. How they thought they could fool hardcore gamers is beyond me.

    PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Save player one? This is another lie from Bethesda. Fallout 4 was a joke in terms of story and environment if compared to the original Fallouts. They chose to go for the fps like gameplay and for the building of your settlements (we already have proper games fore that) leaving behind what made the old games great. Everyone which played Fallout 1-2 or even New Vegas know that I mean. This Fallout is even worse, they chose the online path, a mistake already done with TES online and this is the result. The game lacks story and immersion in what is the world game, they changed the original concept of the post-apocalictic enviroment in benefit of countless hours where the only thing you do is kill and loot. This game is not disappointing because I was prepared for this since the moment they declared that was online. They destroyed my favorite series for money and to follow the tendency of the moment. Fallout 3 was just ok I guess but I am certain of the fact that the only thing that Bethesda did great for the Fallout brand is to leave the development of Fallout New Vegas to Obsidian which did a very good job in my oipinion. In the end, Fallout should be a RPG with great story, great setting and great characters, not just a money spilling MMORPG(kinda) which tons of hours of the same **** and absolute garbage base building. It is simply not needed: it is not what a Fallout fan is looking for in this brand. The sooner they realise it, the better. The only thing I suggest Bethesda to do is to go and try the original 2 games and NV. Expand

Bugs, Lack on industry standard graphic elements, VATS system doesn't fit in a online multiplayer game, and overall just poor execution. It is an aging engine with a slight re-skin.

I wanted to love this, I came on here to defend it and gave it a 7/10 and the bugs were SO bad that I had to come back with my hat in my hand asking for forgiveness and posting an edit. This game is bad because its broken and in some ways its even broken fundamentally. Dont buy this game unless you want to find yourself miserable at being stuck unable to play it because of legit game crushing bugs (unable to do damage to mobs or players, no loot dropping, mobs glitching constantly, your character becoming completely stuck and unable to move, or interact with objects or just falling through the world repeatedly (those are 3 separate bugs not just one big super bug).

    ORIGINAL REVIEW LEFT IN BELOW::

I've probably put several hundred hours into this game already, currently level 80 right now and I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed the game. The negative reviews that you see complaining about bugs, glitches and overall wonky behavior in the game are all true. I dont deny the game has issues (hence the 7/10) but overall the world, the lore and the feeling of exploration and just good ole fashion crazy slaughter are all very fun. The nuclear launches are awesome and if you can get a couple of friends to play this with you the game is very rewarding. I am lucky enough to have a a group of 4 that play this with me and I will admit this likely makes a big difference since the lack of push to talk is pretty bad. They are adding many of the things people are complaining about in future patches but overall I certainly wouldn't give this game a 3/10 as it stands now. This game is fun and if you can roll with the punches of some of the weird stuff that can happen then you'll have fun playing it as well.

    1. Buy beloved IP.
    2. Have no respect for the IP, disregard all lore.
    3. Make a cynical, broken game that has nothing to do gameplay-wise with other games in the series.

Neither a good game technically or storywise this is just shoveled onto the growing pile of multiplayer survival games that failed to innovate in the genre or to engage players. The fact that all of the systems for extensive monetization are present and polished while the game itself is so lacking indicates that the developers wanted a quick cash grab in the "games as a service" and lootbox era. The game of Fallout 76 is a case similar to that of NoMans sky because they rushed to get the product unfinished. In addition, Bethesda takes the strategy of selling the product and with heavy patches go fixing it to compensate for the error. However, with the passage of time it will be finished in two years. The micro payments system is more careful than the game itself. It's not worth buying just for being a Fallout.

Played this for about 4 hours and the only thing positive I got from this is HIV. Anyway, the point is this: the game is half broken; lags even with a good PC. The experience when in combat is "clunky" and despite being a "social" game, there's not any motive to communicate with other players. Suck your mum.

This is quite possibly the laziest mmo I have ever had the displeasure of playing. First things first, the gameplay is copied right from Fallout 4 which would be fine if it weren't for the fact that Fallout 4 had a lot more to do and a lot more to it. This game is incredibly empty with no real npc's to interact with, workbenches and the like that can only be utilized by a single player at a team leading to waiting in line for the chance to do anything, player collision systems that stop players from moving through each other making it so that people who stop in door ways stop everyone else from entering the building. Monsters spawn far to frequently and attack based solely on seeing a player, meaning trolls simply lead large groups of monsters into populated areas and let them loose on unsuspecting players and also causes players to basically be penalized for actively trying to explore instead of just following where the game actively leads you. On top of that the story, if you want to call it that, is really, really lazy and poorly done. It honestly might as well not even be there. Now we can get to the best part, that the game is a buggy mess! This truly is a failure in every way. If you want a good fallout experience but have completed 4 then go back and play 1,2,tactics, 3 or NV. This game isn't
    even worth being free.

There is nothing fallout about this game. Bethesda thinks that what makes fallout fun is shooting creatures with oldies playing in the background.
No nuanced characters (or any NPCs at all)
    No complex decision making
    Not a fallout game.

This is unacceptable behavior on the part of Bethesda, this is an unacceptable condition game that needs a minimum of another year in the oven and some actual anti cheat mechanisms before anyone, yes *anyone*, gives this game a 10, should give this game higher then a 0. It fails to do everything an online game NEEDS to do before allowing people into the same lobby with one another. By playing this game you put your IP address at risk of DDOS by anyone with basic understanding, your time at risk of the whim of cheaters, and your joy in constant risk of the whim of cheaters. Shame on those of you giving this game a 10, it shouldn't even have been released in this condition. On top of all of that say you got to try the game in the beta(1 month before release isn't a beta it's an early show) by a friend giving you a key, congrats F:76 is going to hold GIGS of your hard drive hostage until you pay Bethesda for your key just to uninstall it or the person who gave you the key puts their own account at risk by giving others access to a private account because they didn't have the basic decency to allow said players to uninstall the game. All of that is why I say shame on the people giving this, to be blunt, garbage a 10. This thing shouldn't even be *allowed* on the market in the current state and, again to be blunt, scam-like beta practices.

Edit: As of now the current methods of encryption are not entirely clear, the methods used are not up to, speaking metaphorically, code. There's different forms of encryption going on at different times, all statements about cheaters are extremely valid however Bethesda did do at least some effort to encrypt important things some of the time. As of now your IP could leak but is less likely to then it initially looked, that said there are still ways to derive it and many people who want to pretend it's not an issue. This is still a major issue in an ONLINE only game. To those saying there are no bugs, you're a liar. To those saying there isn't more risk of cheaters in this game, you're a liar or delusional. By appearances packets used can be easily forged and due to the engine used people who would do such are ahead of the pack compared to other titles. That said there's day one mods for the UI which is a direct security risk of wallhacks along with other nefarious means, it's better then it had looked but it's still unacceptable condition for an online game. All of that said, good job Bethesda for doing the minimum effort to stop people from getting leaked IPs. Before the game even was "released" people found ways to cheat and support cheating, there can be mod support or strong anti cheat and they really can't have it both ways in this case. They can allow mods, as an example, that hook into the UI and change things or they can disallow such things because of the ease of adapting cheats to such methods, they can't have it both ways.

Considering Bethesda is a billion dollar company, I really expect more out of their "triple A" game titles. I find it a bit amazing that I had my expectations set so incredibly low, and yet Bethesda still managed to disappoint me with the PC version of FO76.

To be quite honest, there IS a lot of potential to FO76. Despite the crap performance, the bugs, and the soul sucking UI which makes you question your life choices after a couple hours, I'm still finding enjoyment playing with friends. That being said, this game deserves an awful review currently due to the state they released it in.

Oh, and don't even get me started on the freaking headache and eye strain inducing motion/depth blur, it's almost like the devs are trying to tell PC players they hate them.
