Exosuits are grouped into different roles, and players will pilot these exosuits to hold firm against overwhelming dinosaur swarms in online-only, team-based action game modes. Dino Survival, the main game mode, sees two teams of five players compete in a variety of PvE and PvP missions. Players will be transported to the scene of the latest dinosaur outbreak and follow Leviathan's guidance to complete objectives. The team that completes the mission first will emerge victorious.

Whether players are engaging the other team directly, or fighting alongside them against a common enemy, the aim is to accomplish objectives as quickly as possible. Missions vary depending on player skill and other factors, meaning no two matches will unfold the same way.

Exoprimal is a definitely original PvEvP, with various game modes capable of ensuring ever-changing matches, although undoubtedly the most exciting are those in which there are direct clashes with the opposing team. The story is enjoyable to follow, and it would be no problem to discover it little by little, if this did not also affect the options available during multiplayer. This way, the game does not show its full potential right away, almost as if it were a free-to-play that needs to convince us to upgrade and unlock the full product. The problem is that it is a premium game, and may not appeal to those who want everything on day one.

I can’t deny the fun factor of Exoprimal, but for this to be a great game, they need to address the shortcomings of their cross-play. So here’s the TLDR, would I pay sixty dollars for Exoprimal? No… It’s a forty-dollar game at best right now. If you don’t have Xbox Game Pass, Personally, I would wait for it to go on sale.

Influenced by the legendary Dino Crisis franchise, Exoprimal is a surprisingly fun and engaging game. Despite some repetitive missions and an occasionally unstable connection, I can safely say that Exoprimal is one of the most enjoyable titles in 2023.

The beginnings of a PvPvE cult hit. Extinct animal slaughter is fundamentally fun, but the foundations are sparse.

As a whole package, I found myself having fun with Exoprimal, but the harsh lack of content and weak progression systems really hold it back. It has potential, and maybe a fantastic game later on, but right now it’s difficult to justify the price tag.

It's tough to deny our slight disappointment with Exoprimal. Rather pleasant to play and offering many tactical possibilities in team play, not to mention simply insane phases with thousands of dinosaurs to face, it is clear that Capcom has not chosen the right structure: the one and only game mode to repeat on a loop is enough to drive crazy the whole first part of the game and even during the second. More solid content, a more traditional single-player campaign, more digestible writing and simply more things to do or unlock (other than skins that push you to buy the battle pass) would have been very wise to make it a fun game over time. We will probably have to come back in a few months, when Capcom has delivered a real variety through the promised seasons… but as it stands, Exoprimal looks like a dinosaur not far from having nothing but mouth.

Where life finds a way, Exoprimal has lost its purpose. Defined by boring combat and a lack of innovation, I’m left feeling like that Brachiosaurus in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom – hopeless and yearning for more.

I thought the same thing but the AI Chat GPT narrator/DM made a 10 player co op raid where it combined the two teams (that usually compete against another) into an epic boss fight that was not easy and lasted nearly 20 minutes.

We barely beat the boss and I thought "WOW that was one of the most fun moments I've had in Co op in a long time". Sure the story is oddly placed behind secret files you randomly get through playing and it will seem like your going through the same maps at the start but eventually things start changing and new enemies appear, along with new bosses and hopefully more 10 player raids.

Gameplay is fast and well optimized I locked at 60FPS on high settings at 1440p and GPU use is low 30's(3070). IMO game needs some balancing as rigs like Barrage are so OP he can hold down entire lanes by himself while others struggle. Also game has no team reqs as you will spawn in and everyone is playing attack and no tank or healer is present or required. We have actually won matches with no healer as this is no overwatch meta.

Now the Elephant in the room is the forced PVP, for me I actually enjoy it a lot as it brings something fresh to the horde mode shooters. I have had matches where we are losing badly and the enemy team gets cocky and decides to run over to our area to PVP and my char will team wipe them leaving their obj open to be destroyed for an easy comeback. Overall if you want a FUN co op and somewhat PVP horde mode shooter that is free on Gamepass def pick this up.

this game gets too much hate, the concept is awesome. i give it a 10 to compensate for all the 0's because its not a 0 at all, those guys should give it a fair 5 at least if they dont like it that way. i give it a solid 8.
if they add more game modes like a full survival mode in a city full of dinos then this game could get unto the 9 scores.
the suits are awesome, the setting/story is refreshing, the gameplay is really arcade-like. its just something unique to play. people should not give such low ratings, that hurts the playerbase in long term, and making the game end up not getting more content.

What a mess. It feels like each department was working separately on each element. There's a plot but it's told through videos in aWhat a mess. It feels like each department was working separately on each element. There's a plot but it's told through videos in a multiplayer game so if you're in a group at slightly different levels of progression each match is followed by 1 or 2 of.ypu watching a video while everyone else is just waiting for you. Ignoring that that gameplay is mostly fine. Work together. Use giant mechs to kill lots of dinos. But it is quickly repetitive. Every mission feels the same. No idea how well the PvP aspect is balanced. Each match seems to boil down to 15 minutes of identical gameplay and then one team wiping out the other and winning the final.point. Third person camera is frustrating. The big tanks are a pain to be around as they can block your entire screen but avoiding them means not working together. Expand
