i have spent at least 20k-30k hours with diablo games, mostly diablo 2, but diablo 4 is the most boring one so far, i played 2 characters to 100 and feel like there was almost nothing to remember about. the game is a disappointment to me, even the ingame music has nothin to it (except the Tristram quest xD)

Out of touch with playerbase. Treating the game as a life service mmo money cow. Not a original Diablo solo game. Time gating, major gameflaws which they "cant fix" until after 6 month... Best game of this year just got bummed to 1 of the worst

Good storyline - Gameplay for some classes are very slow and unbalanced.

Seems like the devs need 5 years to get this game on a right track... unfortunately for the franchise cuz we had such a good D1 & D2 game ( Didn't play D3 much ). They patch quiet frequently but rather for fixing stuff that shouldn't be there in the first place. They seem to promise alot but can't deliver... sad

Conclusion : for such a high price of a game and franchise... You expect alot more, especially when they hype you so much with ads and information.
I really don't get it, you have such a good opportunity to get a massive game with nearly the whole world knowing and supporting this franchise, and you just throw it into the fire... Again.. Sad.

Blizzard is not doing great at most lvls with their games, but this proves everything.. They are completely out of touch

They released an unfinished game that has no sustainable end game activities and so they lower the experience that you gain to try and force you to put more time by as much as 90% in some instances. Do not waste your money, if I could refund the $100 I paid I would. Expand

So much money for such a game. Endgame is actually not present at all. What it's really about is the loot. And Blizzard really didn't manage that well. The classes are totally unbalanced. For example, the wizard is no longer playable.

Love Diablo 3 at the moment

Endgame is super boring. Stopped playing after campaign, 0% replay value. Would not recommend at this point - wait for patches that might make it enjoyable in 2024. I played and enjoyed both D2 and D3.

1 point because it's a Diablo game. Lost 4 points because of the stupid, nonsensical 1.1 patch. If you are on the fence about buying the game, don't buy it now, you'll only be disappointed. Wait for the game to show up on Game Pass.

It's unbelievable that this is the 4th Diablo game, features are missing, undocumented changes get made, customer feedback takes weeks to implement but time gating gets implemented within a day. Lots of work to be done by the developers.

I play Sorc and this patch makes no fun at all. 30% reduction of CDR makes the class no fun at all. Flip side they gave us more resistances which are BROKEN and acknowledged as broken by developers. It's sad what has happened to the game.

Blizzard took the liberty of adjusting stats on gear without any care in the world. Sorcerer is a joke and the malignent hearts won't help the broken resistances, nerfed damage multipliers, nerfed cooldown reduction, and ALL. They should roll this back and it was a stupid move to push it out days before Season 1 killing all hype.

Vulnerable has been nerfed but is still mandatory because it has its own damage bucket. They don't understand the ARPG genre at all. They made a jack of all trades game that can't really satisfy any player in the long run. Then they released the pre-season patch and oh boy did they not only ruin they game they massacred the game, whatever was left of it they just took it and destroyed it. At least they had the audacity to kill OW2 before it was "released" still think think they scammed a few people with that but oh boy did they take our 100$ and run away with it for Diablo 4.

Despite having a lot of time to play I got a druid to 96, rogue to 82 and a necro to 85 and I can't even get myself to log in to at least push to 100, I am completely burnt out on the game. And whenever I think about the game it makes me mad, I spent all that time leveling those toons for nothing, it wasn't even fun, there was a tiny bit of enjoyment early on because new game energy but after that it was just brute force because I had nothing better to do. But I might as well have stared at paint dry while listening to music and would've enjoyed my time more.

Game is only a leveling simulator, but instead of being a "fun" leveling simulator they force you to go into nightmare dungeons, just regular dungeons with annoying and horrible affixes that makes you not wanna run another one when you finish one but to keep on leveling you need to run those hundreds of time to get to 100, and just when you think there might be alternative content there isn't. You got world bosses for loot pinata, helltides for chore to get Forgotten souls and then there's tree of whispers which is dead content can't recommend doing it, it's unrewarding. So basically the only thing there is to do is nightmare dungeons.

Then the other part where you're not really farming for anything, you might find an item with 3 more vulnerable damage, or 6 more crit damage, but ultimately it is just similar system to Diablo 3 +5 mainstat from paragon, but it's +5 stat from gear. Your character becomes 90% complete at level 75, and then the rest is like trying to hunt for a perfectly rolled item which is completely pointless and a waste of time.

Then they failed miserable at trying to put in "chase" uniques, there were 6 at launch, and 1 added in latest patch. Worst part is you can't grind for them, as they would take about 12 hours a day for 2000 years to find, not even a meme but literally thousands of years on average for just one of them. And we currently don't have access to the well of immortality to farm for those uniques.

So I think this game at best is like a 1.5/10, because I know Blizzard can always stoop lower. But this game is basically as bad as it gets. Definitely regret every dollar I spent on it, did not get my moneys worth.

At launch I would have given this game an 8 or even 9, but since launch they have done nothing but make the game worse. I've never seen a company purposely kill their own game before, but that is exactly what they have done. They constantly take anything that is even remotely fun in the game and nerf it out.

There are helltides that are fun for a short while and then become very repetitive. The worst part of the game is the itemization, once you reach level 60ish, it is extremely difficult to get any upgrades, everything that drops is usually worse than what you already have. the grind becomes very tedious without a chance to upgrade, so there is very little reward for your efforts. I had a cautious expectation that the game will slowly improve and end game content will be fun and rewarding, however after seeing the patch 1.1, I have lost hope. It seems the devs are very disconnected with the reality of the game and what makes an ARPG click. I am afraid they are repeating Diablo 3 early drama, it took a major shift in the dev team to salvage Diablo 3, and seems we are going the same route. I doubt the current team is playing their own game, perhaps they're looking at spreadsheets and making changes. The patch 1.1 has removed the little fun there was in the endgame. Expand

There have been no meaningful QOL changes that have been desperately needed already, not even but a little over a month after launch. 90% of what the community has asked for has been ignored/communication has been radio silent. I do not recommend touching this game for at least another year at this rate

While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table.
