    The game developers are scammers, after 1,5 months after game release, the devs applied nerfs that hurt the Eternal Realm more than seasonal play. This was done in order to further push players into seasonal mode where monetization occurs. Nerfed eternal characters also make seasonal power seem more appealing. Quality of life changes present in previous games in the series aren’t even in the pipeline yet, the dev team is flailing about with no direction and they can’t even add stash tabs. This game is not release worthy and should not be worthy of my money. Give us refunds.… Expand

    I registered the account just to write my honest review and hopefully other people don't waste money to buy. I'm a Diablo fan. I saw all the early issues with the game but still trusted the company due to my D2 and D3 experience. I even bought a 2nd copy because the D4 stash is too small even after I created mules - I wanted to play 3 different classes and there's no way the stash plus allI registered the account just to write my honest review and hopefully other people don't waste money to buy. I'm a Diablo fan. I saw all the early issues with the game but still trusted the company due to my D2 and D3 experience. I even bought a 2nd copy because the D4 stash is too small even after I created mules - I wanted to play 3 different classes and there's no way the stash plus all the rest mules is enough.

    But the recent patch 1.1 gave me the wakening call that the team running this game will never fix it, nor making it good. Because what they think the game should be is totally different from the user base. The addressed 0 issues raised by the user base, including stash space, resistance doesn't work, sorc unplayable end game because all the mobs can one-shot you. etc. etc. Sorc was a powerful class in Beta which caps at lv 25, so they simply nerfed the popular skill Hydra by 60%, and a few others skills which can reduce cool down. The user base complained. Sorc could only run the frost build. Devs in the fireside chat said they listened, and they had this long list of patch note prepared. Everyone was looking forward to the patch note, everyone assumed sorc can be fixed. Ha! Can you imagine they nerf sorc, and especially hydra even more? They didn't mention this in the patch notes, but they changed the lucky hit rate of hydra from 53% (cast based) to 2.5% (hit based). Ice blade 71% to 5%. Yes it's a huge nerf because the conj stills won't hit that many times (especially ice blade, so clumsy).

    They nerfed all classes. Why, why??? Because they don't have other ways to engage players. Instead they make it harder to pass the game, so we are forced to stay longer, and they may make money in this.

    Or, perhaps they've already got our money, and they just choose the most annoying changes so we don't stay, no pressure to their server, and they can use the money to develop WoW - btw the D4 feels like WoW which I don't like.

    You won't find the Diablo game you like in D4. It's frustrating, repetitive, and I don't feel their team has good decision makers. It's unbelievable they'd do this unless, really, they want to push us away so their server maintenance cost is lower.    … Expand

    When Devs just saying we know that game is not fun... Game was 10 years on production. I was bored after 27 hours... Blizz is just trash. WoW is killed. D4 is killed. Overwatch is killed.

    One of the first major red flags was the devs completely disabling certain aspects because, ultimately, the game is just severely unfinished and most definitely untested. These actions made certain characters unplayable. That was over a month ago, and it's been a worsening **** show since.

    There is no possible way this game was worked on consistently for 10 years and probably not even 5.

    I played Diablo 1, Diablo 2, Diablo 3, and now Diablo 4. I have to say, coming from a long history of playing the Diablo series, blizzard has literally crucified Diablo 4. When they dropped this current patch on the 18th of July, it just totally destroyed the game completely. At the current state of Diablo IV after this patch, any game out there is better than Diablo 4....

    Diablo you must try to learn...ok but if you try too much you must Erase your character, it's cheaper to restart a New one, not in play Time...

    Game was fun, the new patch is a joke. Just cleaving peoples characters in half with wild nerfs while providing no alternative ways of bringing up other classes is mind boggling. A 2 is deserved at this point in time.

    And then we've got this famous patch 1.1 - everything nerfed to the ground.

    Yep, you guessed it - Blizzard just hates when people have fun in the game.

    since the Diablo 2, I've played and gave the faith of this company, even at the beginning of the D3, it was disaster. I still stay with the game for long time, but this time, enough is enough. We play video games to enjoy to relax. This D4 feels like it is playing the players. It's biggest disappointment of all the games I've play in these 5 years.

    Apparently more important for this small indie company is to make sure there is new transmog in realmoney shop instead of fixing like login and networking issues.

    This game does deserve 0 of 10 points. Nice try milking under "immortal" shadow... This time you got caught Bobby... Only this time you get caught.

    They released an unfinished game which is missing the last 30-40% of content, and then keep making patches to pad out playtime on the small amount of content they shipped the game with. Not worth your money

    Very Grindy, unrewarding game with boring items and builds. Blizz killed what little fun there was before the first season by slowing down skills, gameplay, and experience so that they could artificially keep players logged in and driven toward their seasonal microtransaction journey. Wish I could get a refund, as a long time fan of the series I DO NOT recommend!

    Got early eccess version with included battlepass for the first season but i will not touch that game again. For me it's hard to understand how blizzard with all their experience can completely go away from the successful game design of D2 and basically just produce a well shaped copy of D3. But to be honest D3 was more fun... It had endgame... To be fair D3 was horrible at the beginning, but does blizzard realy have to do all the old mistakes again? Why the hell... WHY they didnt took something of the itemisationssystem from D2? It kept D2 living for almost 20 years. It did prove itself...
    Apart from itemisation and lack of lategame, this game feels lonly as **** Can you believe that there is no LFG funktion?? not even a global chatlobby... the only way to chat global is the tradechannel, which nobody uses because trading in this game is trash!!! not even professional goldsellers are using the trade channel XD.
    Next is the class balancing. ITS a joke... the differences between the classes regarding content clearing are huge.
    The only good thing about the game was the Story. but that ends latest with lvl 50. Then you have a senseless boring grind in front of you, which most likely won't be rewarding at all from lvl 80 on.
    And it is not that D4 has a toxic fanbase or anything... Content creators and gamers in general did spent a lot of time to give qualitiy feedback. There was not a lack of interest from the communitiy towards game development and blizzard got a lot of input. But what they are doing with it??? Seems like they pretend to take is serious just to throw it right into the dumpster before patch release.
    I Cannot recommend anybody to buy that game.... Should have given 1-2/10 points because the early game was fun but i rearly want to push the score as low as possible.    … Expand

    **** them. Game is unenjoyable, they are nerfing everything into the ground. Normal players who work take weeks to get to max level. And season 1 comes out. Their new quest doesnt work, lag is 100000, bugs are even worse, nothing works, queues are a year, thing dont load... etc 100 bucks wasted

    Unfortunately with this patch masterpiece they killed this game completely for me by introducing the dumbest nerfs and game-changes i have seen in my entire life.

    I hope you freeze in hell for this BLIZZARD.

Played wow for years and then came d3 - what a disappointment that was but not as bad as d4. Preordered ultimate and waited for months until beta came out and was very hyped because it seemed fun and „fresh”. I was right because there is no end game to mess up. I dont even know where to begin. Meaningless time consuming grind with no reward behind it. Absolutely no end game, no incentive to keep playing past 70. No set items, no storage, no party finder, no leaderboards, terrible item system. NO TRADING??? Whats the reason behind strongholds ? Regrinding renown is a joke. Why are blue and white items in the game ? Terrible cosmetics. Everything is structured around milking players out of money - terrible seasons system. Since they tried so hard to turn it into a soft mmo its missing everything that would make it any good. Just for example, arena pvp with seasonal cosmetic rewards would fix endgame problems as it would actually give players a reason to grind to 100 to climb pvp leaderboards for rewards. Maybe clan wars since its open pvp ? Or clan battles to take over strongholds (clans keep them for a week and get rewards for it) LITERALLY ANYTHING that would want players to actually compete or interact in any way. But nope that would be too good to be true. Also my grinded renown didnt transfer to season 1. I play HC and died on my rogue at 82, made a new character - got to 82 also. Now comes season 1, for some reason blizzard employees didnt know how to write code so they made it so you have to log in with a character that has everything unlocked. But my rogue died at 82 and my new character doesnt have altars or renown grinded because i refuse to grind it again so now im forced to grind them all over again. My choices are either stick to eternal realm and dont play season ( i got ultimate so i have season pass) because i have the renown and altars there OR play s1 without anything unlocked. Im forced to quit because im not grinding everything again. Im a father and I run a business and it took me a week to get all altars. I will never buy a blizzard game again. Fail dev team… Expand

    past the campaign the game quickly deteriorates and becomes redundant. I might've given the season a shot but then I read the patch notes and remembered that fat female druids exist

    While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.
