    The first negative review was for blizzard, very bad update, I was not so angry about the stolen account before, I re-registered and bought D4, I worked hard to collect even enchanted equipment, and directly changed the bad equipment, I never pursued top-notch gameplay, just played the game smoothly, why should 1% of people apply the method to 99% of players, I really don’t understand

    My main lvl 93 sorcerer is destroyed after patch 1.1. Now my character have no def and no dmg. I spent so much time and gold to build my character to the current states. Will not comeback to the game before Blizzard fix sorcerers. Whoever decided it's a good idea to mass nerf like this should be fired NOW

    Never had this much excitement for a game turn around so fast. Devs are oblivious to the glaring issues and don’t listen to fanbase. Blizzard has successfully killed my favorite childhood game.

    A game that cost over 70 Dollar, yet it fails to provide any improvement or more gameplay and only cut down the fun from player.
    The lag/rubber banding from server was never fixed. But in newest patch, they fixed nothing about the game. Only making the gaming experience even worst.
    It's clearly the dev/blizzard were incapable to listen to players or they have run out of things they can offer.

    My initial impression was very positive for this game. However, I have played from early release until now and likely wont be playing any longer. The game does have positive aspects. Its visuals are beautiful and the story was well told. The way the game has been handled by blizzard since the release has been messy at best. Continuous nerfs to various abilities and farming methods was very frustrating, though some things legitimately needed to be hotfixed, but the latest patch not fixing ANY of the numerous core issues plaguing the game and instead instating even more nerfs is extremely confusing.

    Who ever is making decisions about patch priorities should be reassessed. We (mostly) tend to play video games to have fun and the long list of hotfixes and this recent patch have active removed this element from the game. Why would anyone play something that is no longer fun?

    Server Lag is horrible. There is a known memory leak that still remains unfixed that causes frequent game crashes. The effectiveness of many builds were destroyed and there is no compensation for all the players that now have to reassess and rebuild their characters since the issue of respeccing/ cost is still unaddressed.

    There is much more that can be discussed but it seems to fall on deaf ears with blizzard.

    TLDR; I do not recommend this game in its current state. The ratio of enjoyment to frustration is too high.    … Expand

    There was so much hype behind this game that all they had to do was make it as good as Diablo 3. Instead of tried to reinvent the wheel and we ended up with something worse than the release of Diablo 3 with an even worse season patch. So much of nostalgia ruined. They will continue to make it worse by trying to monetize the game more and more.

    Diablo Dev in a nutshell: uodate everything that is fun.
    How do we get players to play more and longer hours?
    Reduce exp gain, add more walls, slow them down, make them wait longer.

    How do we make it challenging for players? Nerf class skills, nerf damage, nerf items, nerf aspects, buff monster.

    The Developers don't want you to have fun in this game. They keep buffing and nerfing the characters back and forth with no real vision. Not to mention they updated the game to make people grind longer with 99.9% useless and duplicated loot.

    First patch absolutely ruined this game. Drops are terrible and loot is not worth chasing. Anything worth doing got nerfed, on top of everyone’s builds. Lack of endgame content is an embarrassment.

Then the first major patch dropped and they destroyed everything that was still fun about the game. They made progression even more tedious and managed to nerf the WEAKEST CLASS in the game (sorc) even more.     This game was perfect but with the new changes it just made this game so unfun, it appears they are forcing people to never play eternal charcters ever again to force everyone to play new season for them to have a chance to purchase thier season pass. overall not happy with the results on this.

    The game was already in a bad state but blizzard really decided to say f it and make the game even worst with the latest patch. Clearly they don’t play their own game so we shouldn’t either. Season 1 is dead on arrival because this patch really said “Fixed an issue where players were having fun so we took out all the fun”

After a few updates that made the game more pleasant to play, they drop the infamous 1.1 patch which nerfs everything and making the game even slower to level up and play than when it first released right before the Season 1 start.     The game was already full of problems, unbalanced, tier 80+ monsters causing one shot, mods that didn't work and full of bugs.
    Blizzard releases a patch notes that made what was strong stronger and what was weak useless

    I played sorcerer in Beta, I played to the first 70 levels and convinced myself I loved it after beating the main storyline.

    Then forced myself to 100 to only realize how even after grinding 200+ hours I was screwed. 2 weeks an update would come out making my progress worthless. PvP is a total mess. Rogues running around rampant.

    Any power the game gave you before Patch 1.1 .0a. was taken away to make you do less damage to creeps, have higher cooldowns, have less damage from creeps, and take longer to level up. If this nerf was done because of the new season then this is a terrible implementation of the patch for anyone who plays the eternal realm. All their time and dedication to the game is gone.    … Expand

Blizzard really just takes the fun out of their games by changing in game mechanics. and it makes me think that's their business model. Happened with COD now happening with Diablo 4. They buffed the uninstall button to 80% more.

    I'm over it as a long term player since D1, perhaps I'm too old to go for blatant BS anymore but I did NOT GET what I paid for and I won't pay another dime to fix something that the developers clearly will continue to break.     It was a patch that made the game last longer by giving users more tasks rather than more fun.
    Through plausible trailers and numerous advertisements, they have achieved sales volume and are now making efforts to reduce the number of users to reduce operating costs.
    This situation will continue to repeat unless the management team changes and the direction changes.

    If you were on the fence. This is an ACTION RPG with slow paced action. It's a LOOT hunter with boring loot. This is an MMO with no social aspects. A dungeon crawler that feels more like a game of fetch the stones and put them on the pedestals.

    You know what made Diablo great? The items. Good luck sifting through to find ANY items that either make you considerably more powerful OR excited to use. Legendary aspects often boil down to absurd conditions that are overly convoluted for no real purpose. X skill deals +Y% damage if Z happens. Why? Better yet, some items have aspects that somehow aren’t 100% positive. I haven’t even delved into how the sorcerer is basically unplayable. Old Diablo games would have items that differentiated you from the pack. Get this: you’d be REWARDED for all the time you spent farming. On top of that, farming would be fun because you didn’t have to spend 25% of your time using an underpowered skill that deals a fraction of your real damage against spongey mobs. These older items would have affixes that players revered. Enigma was such an awesome example. Any character can teleport now with this? Skills transcended characters because of the items. It was an extra layer of itemization when you could use barbarian shouts, or equip fanaticism aura to make your attack speed faster. Instead, you get uninspiring items in D4 that absolutely no one clamors for. Zero creativity and worse yet, minimally game-changing for the time invested. In previous Diablo games It took time to get powerful, but the climb was exciting AND you FELT when you got considerably stronger. You could go to different areas of the game now, you could farm for different items now. You accomplished something. Diablo 4’s level scaling gives you no such satisfaction, rather just a constant slog of mobs who will almost always take the same amount of time to kill. I had very low expectations for this game, but it’s time to just give up hope on Blizzard entirely to rectify this once upon a time titan in the ARPG landscape. Any hope of Diablo going back to the great game it was means slamming on the breaks with the direction it is going.    … Expand

    Blizzard didnt respect the time and effort we took to grind our build. Weeks of grinding were thrown out of the window with one patch. My character now feels 15 levels lower. The time taken to build 15 levels are definitely gone. Am a casual player with a day job. Our time play after work is limited. They didnt respect that

    The latest patch absolutely killed the game. Why would they do this? The short answer is that the greedy corporate **** sticks want us to play the game more and purchase battle net passes. However, in the process they abruptly destroyed that which was fun about the game. i regret spending money on the box and PC versions. I won't be back unless they fully revert the patch.

They have continued to sacrifice player fun for profit without realizing the truth that all of the good will for the company was from when they made games that were fun to play. I fell in to this nostalgia trap. Loved D1 bought it the week it came out. Loved D2 drove 200 miles to get a copy on launch day. More or less enjoyed D3, launch was terrible but it at least felt like they were addressing players issues with the game, love the current seasons.

    Basically the way they decided to "fix" their lack of fun endgame content was simply to make it harder to get there in the first place.
    I have seen a lot of people trying to justify the massive nerf to all classes by pointing out that the S1 mechanic will make up for that. . . I would be inclined to agree if this didn't effect the Eternal realm. Seasonal content should be optional not mandatory.    … Expand

    It was a very fun game when it came out then the first patch buffing xp in nightmare dungeons made it much more fun but the newest patch 50% nerf and made every character I played for so many hours just useless.
    Everything that was fun in the game was taken away and they made leveling tedious again. The game isn't worth playing at all and just feels like homework now.

    This loot-hunting game is unfinished and not worth USD 59.9.
    The storyline is weak and shredded.
    The loots are account bound and have a level setting, which you can't give to your friend even your new character, and also Blizzard launched 1.1.0 season 1 patch to make a long hard empty gameplay.

    Shame Devs care about Nerfing every aspect that could make the game FUN. The cool itens are near imposible to get. One patch and The itens and aspects you lost hours farming become **** . The worst is to know the game was better at the beta then on season 1.

    While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.
