    The QoL changes are great, and so are the improved graphics, very well done 10/10.

    атмосфера игры передана идеально, при ремастере не пострадали игровые механики, даже старые баги и те на месте (открытая дверь иногда отображается как закрытая)
    все же не могу поставить 10, т.к. близзард как обычно с игровыми северами. лагают как в каменном веке. Те кто тут кричит про "цензуру" и страшных амазонку с соркой и ассасином - это не тот    Лучший ремастер из всего что я видел!

    bought it - no difference with old version. The only change is network implementation and as the result ANNOYING LAG! This is NOT worth to buy. This game bored me 10years ago and that was a big mistake to buy it.

    - 20 Year old game design mentalities with all the clumsiness that surrounds that. All those things you loved? Yup still there. All those things you hated and probably blocked from memory cause it was over 20 years ago? Yup still there. You spend no    At the base level, Diablo 2 is just as you remember it from 20 some years ago. That is both its greatest strength and its greatest weakness.

All those things you hated and probably blocked from memory cause it was over 20 years ago? Yup still there. You spend no time in the campaign, you get rushed through to fight baal or mephisto endlessly in hopes for loot that's not stolen by a teleport or leap bot. Make a mistake with your skills or stat points? Welp probably best to remake your character cause you already used your very limited reroll. Randomly ganked? yup. It's very true to form.
    - Graphical Overhaul. I actually feel like while this does look nice if you look at say screen shots, it added too much detail to the point of making the game too visually noisy when you are playing. They also seemed to make original version look worse somehow. Not sure how that happens. Also the no ultrawide support when they said they would was a kick in the stomach.
    - Misleading marketing. I feel like this is probably the spawning pool of all the graphical overhaul hate and to some extent I understand it from that perspective. During their marketing campaigns blizzard spend a very long time explaining how much they wanted this to be true to the original. Digging through old concept art, game sprites etc etc. So when they started to take creative liberties with things in the game they gave us all a comparison point to work with. When things didn't line up, especially the more important things like characters you obviously open yourself to hate. Personally I wish they picked a street. Either say we are giving this an all new fresh twist! or We are making this true to form as original. Don't try to run one side while saying you are doing the other.
    - No TCP/IP
    - Cannot play offline. This kinda hurts a lot as much of how I remember this game was playing it offline so I wouldn't tie up phone lines.
    - They didnt really fix any of the problems that have been present in the game for 20 years. They put lipstick on the pig and pushed it out into the world. So expect old bugs. Also expect LOTS of new ones. Game crashes constantly. You disconnect constantly.

    I'm rambling but the quick and dirty is this: It's the same game you remember from 20 years ago. It looks sometimes better, sometimes worse and functions much worse than its original counterpart. It's lipstick on a old dog, doing the same old tricks. Its fine but I advise you to not spend 40 bucks on this. Far too much money to ask for a graphical update. I'm so glad they had a openbeta for this to ward off the wary.    … Expand

    Diablo is an absolute masterpiece. At least you could've make only mechanics expansion with smth good from modern action rpg's. 5/10 for visual mod.

    Diablo 2 was the peak of action-roleplaygames which can now be enjoyed which better graphics. Don´t be mad about missing quality-of-life functions, that was the grind those days and a medal has to be earned in a honest way.

    Everything that made the original great, is great again!

    Some server issues at launch but all resolved now. Incredibly faithful to the original, which is testament to the brilliant game design of Diablo 2. If you loved the original, you'll love this.

    1. Ужасный старт. С этим все ясно, почему-то все обсираются с серверами.
    2. Баги. Присутствуют, после часов 10 игры встретились всего 2 бага.. В первый раз я не мог выполнить квест, вылечилось перезапуском игры. Второй баг - не улучшалась шмотка по квест Чарси, тупо не было кнопки. Вылечился баг аналогично первому. Мне вроде повезло, у некоторых хуже, но я так понимаю, у большинства опять же были проблемы из-за лагающих серверов.
    3. TCP/IP. ОБОЖЕ ОНИ УБРАЛИ TCP/IP!!!! Вопят чуваки которые в диаблу не играли, наверное, никогда и ставят 0. Убрали и ладно, кто вообще собирается в 2021 году играть по LAN?
    4. Амазонка. Да, сделали немного "уродливей" чем в оригинале, но на релизе не тот мужик, который был на бете. В целом нормальное лицо. Суровая, но красивая женщина с копьем. В целом модели персонажей стали имхо более реалистичными. Варвар вместо лица младенца получил бритую голову, щетину и черты 35-летнего мужика. Огорчает что друид стал больше похож на барда, а некромант на прадедушку некроманта из оригинала, но я переживу.
    4. Нет поддержки модов. Меня, как человека иногда играющего в PD2, это немного огорчает. Надеюсь в будущем поддержку модов добавят.
    5. Слишком высокая цена. Тут не поспоришь. Я надеялся, что хотя бы сделают скидку обладателям оригинальной игры (которая, между прочим, на текущий момент стоит 1100 руб), как сделали с dark souls. Хрена с два.

    А теперь плюсы.
    1. Графика. Игра выглядит шикарно.
    2. Атмосфера. Имхо передали атмосферу оригинала, это ли не главное в ремастере?
    3. Нет координальных изменений, меняющих геймплей. Считаете что Д2 устарела и т.п.? Не вопрос, идите в ПОЕ. Есть куча людей, кому Д2 травится такой, какая она есть.

    В общем, имхо ремастер удался. Большинство претензий либо надуманны, либо уже не совсем актуальны, а плюсы их явно перевешивают.    … Expand

Blizzard even censored some of the enemy models and backgrounds. Blizzard knew the outrage from fans over the changes they made to the character designs and doesn’t seem to care and released it in this condition anyway. The only reason I gave this game a 1 is that you can switch back to the original uncensored graphics but that kind of defeats the purpose of buying a remaster in the first place and that doesn’t really fix the ugly models which are still present. Don’t support this “remaster” with your money the original unbastardized version is still available to play.… Expand

    Diablo 2 is the single game I have spent the most amount of hours playing across nearly a decade of my life. D2R is a fantastic remaster of the classic game. It adds a few quality of life improvements that truly make things more convenient, such as large shared stashes, while keeping a lot of the rough edges of the original game that have been eclipsed by more modern trends in gaming.Diablo 2 is the single game I have spent the most amount of hours playing across nearly a decade of my life. D2R is a fantastic remaster of the classic game. It adds a few quality of life improvements that truly make things more convenient, such as large shared stashes, while keeping a lot of the rough edges of the original game that have been eclipsed by more modern trends in gaming. Rough edges is meant in a truly positive regard, as this was pretty much the Wild West of online RPGs. The ability to transition between legacy graphics and remastered graphics really makes you have appreciation for how they managed to make the game play exactly as it did 20 years ago while drastically improving the graphics. I look forward to many hours with this game. This is a true remaster, and this is exactly what true Diablo 2 fans will love.

    Just a little sidebar comment. The review bombs on this game are a bit ridiculous. The game did experience server issues at launch, but at most, I was unable to connect to a game for 15-20 minutes on maybe three occasions - inconvenient, but not game breaking, and it will stabilize in time (plus, its truly a remastered experience of D2, which always had server problems lol). I have had the game crash two times on me, which again, inconvenient, but its not game breaking and I trust it will be fixed in updates. All of the other complaints are just ridiculous, especially from people who stated that they played the original game!    … Expand

    It has some start problems and questionable character redesign, but overall - this is a really decent remaster. VV somehow managed to overhaul all the graphics, but to keep feeling and atmosphere of the game. It looks almost like it was taken from my imagination of 20 years ago.

    Solid 9/10 from me.

    Firstly, I love that, this game has not forgotten its roots. This is a masterfully revisited version of Diablo II, and the feature to move back and forward between the old version and new version by simply pressing a hot key is awesome.

    Secondly, in terms of minimum requirements, I had to update my Windows from 7 to 10 which was fine because it was finally the motivation I needed to    Firstly, I love that, this game has not forgotten its roots.     Secondly, in terms of minimum requirements, I had to update my Windows from 7 to 10 which was fine because it was finally the motivation I needed to move out of the stone age. Not sure, what this AVX support business is but my computer is over ten years old and still runs it so if you don't have a computer built in the stone age and runs Windows 8 or later you should be fine. My video card is super old too but still runs it with no lag whatsoever.

    Thirdly, the gameplay is just amazing, my friend and I have been crawling through dungeons, completing quests and dying innumerably. It's the way gaming was and still should be. I really don't give a damn about this TCP support, it hasn't changed anything for me, if you want a private game with friends, just create one with a password on it, problem solved. Furthermore, this game doesn't accommodate the cry babies that /gquit at the sign of any difficulty, you actually have to earn your gear and be on to it if you want to snatch up any item before some one else does.

    Fourthly, music/sound, this game is so cinematic and yet, has punchy gameplay to support it, the sound effects have a crunch that is really satisfying, the music changes to all the different terrains, perhaps you're in a dark, underground dungeon or a sprawling city, there's a soundtrack for all situations. Furthermore, All the quest givers have their own voice acted narration and speak every word, not like those half-attempted narrated games you get these days, with NPC's talking a couple of sentences then nothing more... All the voices are different too, so each voice has its own unique style.

    Fifthly, the flow, there's something about the way this game flows that is really gripping. It's not found anywhere else today and this is continuously overlooked. For example, you start off pretty much naked and exploring a cave but then get thrown into a world of lore, mystery and grandeur. You're forever wondering where the journey will take you next? Then, the low drop rate of epic items means that not every player you encounter online is a generic, overpowered God, but you will see them die all the time because of their lack of gear or experience. It's no walk in the park, and therefore there is a gritty, brutal but tactful and persevering mechanic behind its gameplay.

    Lastly, I believe this Metacritic page is getting bombed by people upset with the game. Those instant gratification types or those being insincere and creating multiple accounts to bring the rating down. Just have a look at the amount of ratings that have been placed in comparison to other games on Metacritic, it's absurd. To those people I have the following message, Blizzard have done their best to remain in communication with and provide support to all those that are having difficulty. Check out the forums, they are doing their best.

    Very nice game, a huge nostalgia trip. There was a rough launch, but as of now it is good, bugs are minor and generally, it plays well. Gamepad support on PC is nice to have, you can finally chill while running MF.

    Комьюнити в конец охренело и зажралось с такими оценками.
    Сохранили дух оригинала, полностью переделали графу, расширили инвентарь (чего так не хватало ранее). Играю просто в удовольствие. Баги есть но не критично. Совет игрокам : Если Вы молодое поколение ( подвернутые штанишки, тикток и т.д.) даже не думайте покупать игру, Вы расстроитесь, время другое, игры    Великолепная игра.

    I was genuenly suprised to discover how good this game looks and plays. I have never played diablo 2 back in the day and this was a good oportunity to check this game out myself at last. Great atmosphere, graphics are fantastic, music is really giving this diablo feeling.     Лично по моему выпустили как раз то что ждали те кто играл Д2 в начале 2000х. Да есть недочеты, да в современном мире без цензуры и толерантности нихрена не выпустишь (особенно в связи с последними скандалами), но я не ждал новой игры, я не ждал мультиплеер, я ждал Diablo 2 с более симпатичной графикой.Лично по моему выпустили как раз то что ждали те кто играл Д2 в начале 2000х. Новые ролики отличные, улучшения в качестве жизни вроде расширения сундука, общие вкладки, автоподбор золота - отлично.     мне 36 лет и я застал оригинал Diablo 2. Переиздание поиграл бесплатно до предзаказа и это дичь полнейшая. Игра устарела по всем фронтам. Морально ,геймплей и даже с обновлением графики. Не понимаю как в 2021 можно играть в это

    No offline mode, no LAN mode, no supportable for modding, only connect to online. Blizzard used all way to suck money, dont drop even a single coin out. One more thing, expensive price for a remastered game.

    I honestly don't know why this game has such poor rating here on Metacritic. I was on the fence when I bought because I tend to check the scores in here first, so I asked a couple of friends about their experience instead and they were all raving about it. I'm glad I pulled trigger and bought it - both online and offline modes have been a ton of fun. Today the servers were intermittently down for some schedule maintenance (which was clearly stated from the dashboard) but that was it - I joined it after that time period and it was working flawlessly. I'm really loving the gameplay here and the graphics are on point. Game runs smooth as butter on my computer, no stutters/crashes whatsoever. Seriously, there is nothing to complain here. Buy it and disregard haters/whatever label we can use for this people.… Expand

    Отличный ремастер. Наверное, один из лучших, что я видел. Не испорчена атмосфера, механики, сохранен дух и ощущения той самой диаблы, в которую я играл 20 лет назад. Видно, что ребята из Vicarious отнеслись с должным уважением и вниманием к легендарной, ставшей мне родной игре. За это спасибо большое.Отличный ремастер. Наверное, один из лучших, что я видел.     The additional mechanics they have addded for ease of life are fine and make the game feel modern, while for the time being they have held back enoug to please long term fans and new players alike.

    The initial issues with teh servers, by blizzard standfards was managed exceptionally well, all being resolved within a day. Leaving the only real outstanding gripe that of mod suuport.

    3 days later and the game still doesn't work... I have not been able to get into a game for the last 3 hours. It's been a nightmare half the time spent on this game, whether it's CTDs, overlapping maps (markers appearing that make no sense, like waypoints and other things) or just not being able to play at all... This is just too much bs to put up with.

    Preordered and was excited to play. The game launched and I was feeling the excitement to play this legendary game from childhood, the next 15 hours were spent troubleshooting why the game would not launch. After many hours of searching forums and hearing other players' issues, I found out the issue is related to an AVX issue, been 24 + hours, and still no patch.

    This game is EXACTLY what was promised for me - original D2 with a new look and some small quality of life improvements.     If you are expecting a visual upgrade of your old beloved classic, then you will have an amazing time playing it. It is perfect? No. It is well done? Yes, very.

    I consider this a great remaster, with animations, visuals, cinematics and QOL improvements just great.

    So in summary:
    If you want to play this game for the very first in your life - manage expectations, this game is 20 years old (consider the gameplay) it is fun, but it will not stand well against like Path of Exile, Grim dawn etc.
    If you loved this game as a kid but old visuals kept you from replaying the game, go for it, there will not be a better time.

    1- Игра позволяет себе лагать на PS5. Что происходит на ПК или ПС4, не знаю.
    2- Игра не запустилась на игровом Пк. 3- Игра не запустилась на втором игровом ПК. 4- После двух дней игры на ПС5 персонаж просто удалился и я остался просто ни с чем. 5- Деньги за ПК версию так и не вернули......     Technical issues with the servers aside - the game is far away from the classic.

    The movement is optimized for controller. You'll reconize it pretty fast when playing as a melee, cause the character box is bigger, you'll block each other melee party member often. Walking close to along a wall and the movement feels weird, like disoriented.

    Great game, perfect remaster. Everything like it should be. At the beginning problems with server, because there is too many people playing. There is also a bug with the map, but those are minor problems. Games is great with perfect graphic! There are no problems in game.

Enemies rubberband and can teleport into you so you get stuck or worse insta-killed.     The same with improved graphic design, thank god. Old good original diablo is one of the best-rated games here so I am confused about people giving rapidly low scores. And there is a bunch of weird people who are posting "it is the same game" comments - which should be obvious if it's just remastered.

I always found myself returning to D2 even though it was outdated in some aspects.

    I'm gonna give it a 9/10 because there's still some room for improvement (we need stackable runs and gems, more place in the inventory...)

    Stunning visuals and stays true to the original game that we all know and love. I also highly recommend even new players give it a shot, it’s just as addicting 20 years later. Also appreciate that you can flip to the OG graphics, it blows my mind every time I switch

In the old version when you were fighting enemies, sometimes you had too look at your opponent name on the health bar to figure out who or what are you fighting. In Ressurected version every enemy, weapon, item and NPC received brand new 3D model and it looks stunning.

    I'm not sure how new, younger gamers will find Diablo 2: Ressurected, but honestly they don't have to like it and that's all right. On the other hand there is an army of players who love it, who played it around original D2 release and wha come back to the new version with a huge smile on their faces, while being soothed by the overwhelming, warm wave of nostalgia.

    Long story short, I think that this acRPG is one of the best remasters that lately I had pleasure to play.
    I'm happy that it came out and I want to congratulate Blizzard and most of all Vicarious Visions (company, who made it happen for Blizzard) for the job well done.    … Expand

On my first play I created an Amazon and soon there were 8 players in game hacking and slashing from A1 Q1, and we played together for hours. Resurrected is filled with life, the flags in the city are moving, even the sounds are more detailed and dynamic, as you switch between the old and the remastered version you can clearly hear the difference. They really paid attention to the smallest details.

    I had no issue playing with 8 players together, network connectivity was flawless in EU. So multiplayer works well, don't listen to the negative voices and reviews.

    Auto gold pickup is a very welcome change, and the best is that it's optional.

    If you loved the original there's nothing to complain about this version, it's the same experience with better visuals and sounds. I totally recommend to everyone who loved D2, you'll experience those childhood memories again!    … Expand

    Diablo II: Resurrected is far from perfect. The changes in character design are likely to rile up returning players, and the archaic gameplay probably won’t agree with younger generations weaned on more streamlined, sophisticated experiences. While I appreciate that this legendary title is now available in an improved format, it’s not a caveat-free recommend.

    Diablo II: Resurrection is outdated return of the legend, but it brings such a perfect atmosphere and such a wonderful audiovisual processing, that serie fans will be excited.

    Diablo II returns with refreshed graphics and unaltered gameplay (apart from some small improvements). It’s as fun as I remembered, so I quickly felt at home and gave in to nostalgia. However, it’s hard not to notice that beneath revamped visuals lies a 21 years old design. [12/2021, p.32]
