    Amazing game. It's so hypocritical that even tho Cyberpunk 2077 launched in way way worse state, had basically no physics and that's 2020 not 2014, it still got high reviews. Unity is amazing after patches, almost revolutionary. Cyberpunk 2077 will never get good, even if bugs are fixed, it will still be game with missing content.

    Modern people are so extremely self-centered they think it's okay to take video games for granted. Like it's something that just has always existed. Ability to go back in time in these games and explore historical locations. These video games is literally only way you can ever climb on top Stonehenge. If you don't care about historical locations, monuments etc or history of this planet in general, then these games very clearly are not for you! These aren't your typical pointless shooter or whatever teh f...ck else is popular right now. These games are way deeper and well crafter. There's are a reason why literal historians get almost shocked, how well these world are created. You can literally look these people up from youtube playing AC Origins etc.
    These games are nothing you should take for granted, ever. There's so many people from past who would have given anything to play these kinds of locations in video game, but they never could, because these types of games didn't exist before year 2007 and that was just the beginning. They would have loved to climb realistic Notre Dame in 1790s Paris (AC Unity) or Pyramids in Egypt (AC Origins). Modern people finally can do that and that's big deal, very big deal. But these absolutely stupid haters will never understand that and that's sad and pathetic at the same time.     Disappointing launch, but very good game. Would recommend to anyone who wants to Parkour around 1790s Paris. Way better than older games like Revelations or AC 3. Unity has almost none of this annoying modern day story that was completely pointless. Only reason people play these games is going back in time, not some modern day bs.

    Just cause game had bad launch, doesn't automatically mean you have to write 100s of 0/10 reviews and when developers actually fix the game, you never come back to change them. It's so obvious that half of these reviews are just fake, trolling, double accounts etc. I was reading over 200 of them to understand what the hell were these people thinking and it seems like most them doesn't evenJust cause game had bad launch, doesn't automatically mean you have to write 100s of 0/10 reviews and when developers actually fix the game, you never come back to change them. Some of them doesn't even like Assassin's Creed. So it's so obvious that this user score is rigged by bunch of haters, who could care less, if these games ever existed.

    This game is absolutely amazing. It's most fun i have had in very long time (and yes, i play tons of other games as well, but that doesn't mean i can't compliment stuff i like). To elaborate, it's not like when Red Dead Redemption 2 is amazing game and obviously better game than AC Unity, then by some logic i can never say that I absolutely loved AC Unity. It doesn't make any sense, but sadly there are actually people out there, who think that way (certain youtubers even, but i'm not going to name them, because they simply don't deserve it).

    People who say that this game is boring and simply delusional and i mean it! I could spend hours just parkouring around Paris, climbing etc. Just as i could swing around in Spider-Man (2018) for hours. And it's not only parkour obviously, city is full of things and places to discover. I was shocked how many hidden entrances there were, where you can randomly climb inside some houses and only entrance would be on rooftop, so you literally have to search for them and that's cool in my opinion. That's called exploration. AC Unity has by far best combat animations and combat is very brutal in this game. There's also tons of famous landmarks of Paris, Catacombs etc, it's all there.

    So people who said that this city is empty and boring, were either lying or didn't even care to look for these things and places. Of course it's not Black Flag level exploration, but there's just so much you can do with city game. Could it have even more content? Sure. But in my opinion it has already enough. Graphics are absolutely phenomenal, specially on PC. It's easily top 3 best looking game of 2014 and still holds up amazingly. Even tho it's obviously best on PC, even on PS4 it's still great. Overall conclusion : It's amazing game, i absolutely love it and i'm highly recommending this.    … Expand

    You can tell there was true passion behind this whole game. Huge thank you for whole team who worked on AC Unity. Amazing work. It is true talent and i really mean it. Don't feel bad just cause some low IQ gamers didn't understand this absolute masterpiece you made. Amazing game and i'm going to play it until the day i die. This is real art.

    What's with this extremely low user score. It must be lowest user score for any major actually good video game and possibly lowest user score for any AAA game of 2014. That makes no sense, because i just finished Unity and it's not nearly as bad as this score tries to indicate. Maybe not 9 or 10, but 8 at least.

    Despite this stupid user score, this game is actually great on PC, i have no idea about consoles versions, but i'm sure they run well on ps5/xbox series x

    One of the greatest historical games that have best parkour ever. Just cause some bots downvoted it back in 2014 means nothing. It's great game and most people already know that.

    AC Unity is a game i probably never get tired playing over and over again. I could spend hours just parkouring around the city, it's almost as fun as Spider-Man 2018.

    Graphics in this game were ahead of it's time, looking at trash games like cyberpunk2077 makes me like games like this even more (and overall open-world as well)

    Not regretting trying it, here's the lesson, never take negative reviews seriously on metacritic until you have tried certain game for yourself. You might miss out on many outstanding games that are hated for dumb reasons.

    Black Flag is easily better than Unity, but overall Unity is better than everything that came previously. best parkour, relatable down to earth main character, best combat and stunning graphics. City design in Unity is wonderful compared to every other city based AC that came previously. Story is fun enough and has many cool sequences that take you to WW2 era and middle ages. I rather play this shorter story than endless Valhalla story, but i like Valhalla too, but for other reasons. Overall graphics are phenomenally good for 2014 and still hold up wonderfully. AC Unity is one of the greatest AC games and to this day, has best parkour of any video game ever. Stunning graphics by 2014 standards. that still hold up wonderfully.     Misunderstood and extremely underrated MASTERPIECE. I would do anything to go back in time and tell the developers to delay it until February 2015 to avoid this awful launch. Either way, now it's 99% fixed and amazing.

    Paris looks absolutely phenomenal, one of the best (if not best) graphics of 2014. Buildings design, both inside and outside is top-tier game making, even more by 2014 standards. AC Unity has best parkour of any video game ever made and that should say something. Story is not the best (but it's not bad either). There's lots of fun and well designed missions and while the game could be longer, there's also free DLC.

    I personally like Arno as a main character. Not every character needs to be "over the top". I like that he is more serious and he actually has reasons to be like that. In conclusion i would say, AC Unity is easily one of my favorite AC games of all time.    … Expand

    With modern video cards it actually runs pretty well, i enjoy this game a lot. Just parkouring around, almost like in Spider-Man (2018) is so enjoyable and graphics are really good. Story is nothing special, but has many fun missions. Not perfect, but In some aspects one of the best AC games. If you like 1790 time period or history of Paris, you gonna love this game.

    Very good game, Ubisoft was at their peak in 2013-2014, if i wish anything would have been different, i wish that story was little bit longer.

    Assassin's Creed Unity is absolute marvelous masterpiece in every sense of that word! Best parkour of whole series, likable and relatable main character, Absolutely stunning graphics, level of detail, enterable buildings and fantastic music. Easily top 3 of whole series!

    One of my favorite games of all time. I have finished it at least 8 times and i'm free roaming and just parkouring in this game pretty much every year at least once. This game really makes you feel like you are going back in time to 1790s.

    One of the best video games ever made, even better than God of War 2018, Unity is more innovative and more fun. Best parkour ever and likable main character. Graphics were ahead of times at least 4 years. Good stuff.

    Newfound openness of Assassin’s Creed demonstrates just how inadequate its AI really is for a stealth game: pampered nobility usually simply ignores a bloodied body on the dance floor, and guards don’t care much either. At least they’ve learned how to fight: unless you “cheat” with smoke bombs, it’s highly unlikely you’ll survive a melee against a group. [Jan 2015, p.62]

    As I write this, Assassin’s Creed: Unity is a bugfest, but technical problems, however annoying, can and probably will be fixed. It is not cracks in textures that it is the most worrying thing about Unity, but the cracks in game design and writing.
