    i think, this game deserves 8.5, cuz we cant see like this any game that shows french revolution, and revolution civil war. (civil soliders against royalty soliders) and environment shows us the in-revolution Paris well . Even if game contains some(a bit) (very) bugs.

    Assassin's Creed has always been, let's say mediocre franchise. Bad controls, poor storylines, cringe voice-acting, sometimes even horrendous graphics and glitches. And these games killed off almost flawless Prince of Persia? I don't get this. Twelve main installments!
    Speaking of Unity, it is surely (and also sadly) the best entry of the series. The initial problems    Where do I start?

    Speaking of Unity, it is surely (and also sadly) the best entry of the series. The initial problems (glitches) are long gone which means you can continuously enjoy the graphical design, the open-world, the story, the rpg elements and so on.
    Unity simply does the best job (almost in every aspect) of all AC games from AC1 to Syndicate.
    It doesn't have Black Flag's monotonous missions and assassinations and it doesn't feel like a remainder of dough like Syndicate does.
    Gameplay-wise and story-wise, the best AC experience.    … Expand

    The game is great, graphics is pretty good, story too, but there was many bugs through the game so if you are fan of the franchise, go and get a copy of the game its great.

    I played a few years after the launch so i didnt encountered as man bugs as the other people, for me was a really smooth exprience, the gameplay was amazing, really good graphics with a lot of characters in the screen at the same time, an incredible portrait of paris

    One of the best Assassin's Creed games ever. The story is so greatly told, and the main characters are the best. They are written that, they actually feel like actual humans. The graphics is the most beatiful in the series. It looks same or even better than Odyssey. I own this game from circa 2015 and I have never ever experienced a single bug.     It IS a masterpiece. One of the best. Few people liked it, because few people really know about French Revolution and even fewer know about the origins and apex of the Illuminati Group. The parallelel and the criticism behind this game are fantastic.

Ya con todo esto mencionado, el nuevo capitulo de la saga tiene el deber de contarnos el contexto, un nuevo protagonista se nos presenta, un prologo que sigue los acontecimientos de Assassin's Creed Rogue. La historia no es impactante, es mas una historia que contar por si te interesa la historia del presente que es donde lo mas importante ocurre. Ya con todo esto dicho, nos viene el turno de ver como anda el juego, al ser el primer juego con contar con el mas avanzado motor gráfico de Ubisoft, el juego responde a duras penas, se suprimen texturas y la tasa de fotogramas por segundo se mantiene de momentos. Esto ya bien fue arreglado con varias actualizaciones pero la polémica ya había pasado. Ahora en el año 2020 se puede decir que muchos de los errores cometidos fueron solucionados, lastima que sean insulsos por las decisiones de una empresa que solo piensa en el dinero que influye hacer nuevos títulos para sus series mas aclamadas. Assassin's Creed Unity no es un mal juego, solo sufrió malas optimizaciones y una lenta pero dolorosa caída de una historia solida.… Expand

    Amazing game. My favorite in whole AC series. Story is little bit short, but graphics, parkour and overall design of Paris and time period make up for it!

    The story is great if you really get into it, but can be kinda easy to miss if you're not interested in a somewhat romantic adventure through Versailles and Paris during the French Revolution. To me, personally, there could be nothing better and the story really hits home and I really got into it.     Extremely underrated, but actually very solid game. Best parkour in whole series. That's the difference between steam and metacritic i guess. Steam reviews are up to date and lots of people actually like this game after it was fixed, but here most reviews are just stagnated and from 2014. This 3.8 score reflect the state it was in 2014 not 2020.

It's not perfect, but seems like most of these people claiming to have tons of bugs are either playing first version of this game that has no updates or are just lying in hope to hurt this game. The way some churches look from both outside and inside is just incredible. They fixed most game-breaking bugs by early 2015, but 6 years later some people still wanna pretend like it's in bad state. No it's not. I have been playing it on and off past 6 years, i play it pretty much every year at least once and it's great. Best parkour in whole AC series, combat is actually difficult (in a good way) and very brutal. Graphics are amazing for an 2014 game. Highly recommending this one, if you are interested in 1790 Paris, AC game with good parkour and some really cool missions.… Expand

    The game is simply amazing, everyone complains about optimization, everything was fine, the world is huge, but in this part you cannot go beyond, alas (Just the enemies here are someone who hits, someone shoots. The game has one drawback , very short, it takes 10-15 hours. I would recommend it, definitely, but only if you have a good PC, but rather play consoles.

    These extremely low reviews make no sense. It had bad launch, but it was fixed pretty fast. Not like Red Dead 2 had better launch on PC and that game was also fixed. Not saying Unity is better game tha Red Dead 2, just comparing their launches. And they are both great games, just different, i like both.

    This game had bad launch, but ironically it was in better shape already than Cyberpunk 2077 and let me remind you, that was 2014 not 2020. So yeah and they fixed it pretty quickly. Overall it's great game, not best AC game, but still very good.

    I can't believe this game gets such low reviews. I imagine it's all due to the glitches that it suffered at launch. I'm playing it one month later and it's working really fine. Some NPC sometimes behave wierdly, but you can live with that, happens in mostly all the games.

    I am playing it at 4K resolution with a GTX 970, at max (ultra) settings and it runs fine, it may get slow FPS    I can't believe this game gets such low reviews. I imagine it's all due to the glitches that it suffered at launch. I'm playing it one month later and it's working really fine.     I read most people criticize it comparing it to Black Flag and the earlier games.. I'm not comparing it. I remember reading the same criticism about Black Flag last year. I think Unity is awesome, Paris is awesome and it's a pleasure to just explore it. There are so many things to do, and graphically.. man, it's a treat. Best graphics ever, except maybe just Crysis 3. The light, the effects.. it feels like playing in a '800 painting.

    Maybe the average guy doesn't care about that. I do. And it's an awesome experience, worth the price (that by the way, got much cheaper considering the bad ratings).

    And COOP is real fun, much better than the average multiplayer. There is a lot of content overall in the game, different kind of solo and coop missions etc.. you hardly get bored or see the end of it. I don't know if this is the best AC ever, it's simply a very good and fun one.

    So yes, maybe it's good they release games with bugs, so people gets angry, write bad reviews and prices drop, and you also get for free what was supposed to be a DLC (Dead Kings). I think it's a steal now, just get it!!    … Expand

    Amazing game honestly, in 2020 i mean. It had awful launch, but most bugs were fixed. I have played hours and had absolutely no issues at all, so yea, it works. Graphically stunning, story missions are fun.

    This is probably the most underrated game on this site. One of the most unique and enjoyable AC games ever released so far. Parkour, graphics, and stealth are very fun. It has fun and interesting side-quests with a great co-op (even playing with randoms feels great). As for bugs I haven't encountered anything major (only a few minor ones) so I'm gonna assume that it is patched & perfectlyThis is probably the most underrated game on this site.     Beautiful historical open world game. One of the best graphics in past 10 years, fine enough story, fun missions, best parkour in the series. Assassin's Creed is simply amazing.

But unfortunately, the problem of the game isn't the gameplay or the programming problems, the problem is the story, the fake characters, the open and empty world, the not emersive environment, the weak plot, the historical errors and not using historic events in favor of the main story, you start the game don't knowing what cause the revolution, in the middle of the game you don´t know why the king was murder and who the f*** is the villain, or what are Robbespierre motivations, or why Napoleon is there. You are just a viewer of the events and don't known the political intrigue behind the scenes that made the Assassin's creed franchise so awesome, the main character its just a guy falling in love with a feminist women and living a forbidden love. Is like a french slushy and mediocre soap opera full of cliches and disposable characters, but (and its just a small detail) IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FRENCH REVOLUTION, the one of the most important and decisive events of western civilization!!! The game doesn't show any diference between what is good and what is bad, i known its very difficult to work with a plot envolving the creation of left and right wing politics, and choose in what side are the villains, but cmon, you don't need to create a religion fanatic villain with no motivations to escape the polemical politcal views, i think that was easier to choose a character like Robbespierre, make him a good guy and a symbol of hope, and then make him influenced by the power and creating a new dictatorship to show that its impossible to achieve freedom by the will of one person, and what matters is to ensure the will of the people and not deciding is faith, because there is no one guiding us and nothing is true, everything is permited (the motto of assassins).
    in conclusion, the game is a complete action game, a graphic art perfection, a romantic and mysterious map to explore, a world that feels real, fun, entertaining , breathtaking and very detailed, one of the must realistic games of his generation, but with problems that tripel A quality games today don't have, its a shame that such a big company created a game with to many bugs and glichets, poor story, difficult and buggie combat system, lame parts in a massive world, a shameful loot boxes system and put a very loved franchised in a mediocre level. But still deserves a try, and the game on PC is one of the most enjoyable experiences you will ever have playing an Assassin's Creed.    … Expand

    Most of these old reviews have no value anymore. It's completely fine that they stay here, because it had awful launch, but it's fixed now. Game works well and is graphically stunning. I feel like there should be bunch of new reviews that show state of this game today not 6 years ago.

    Yeah it had awful launch, but that was 6 years ago and most bugs were fixed. It's perfectly playable in 2020 without basically any issues. Graphically it's absolute masterpiece. Best parkour in the series (so far).

    I will support Ubisoft until the day i die. I bought AC Valhalla Day 1 and i will do same with Far Cry 6. I want to play Assassin's Creed Unity as last thing i ever do, before i die. Ubisoft (alongside Rockstar Games, Remedy Entertainment and Capcom) is one of my favorite game developers of all time and i mean it. They have got so much undeserved hate from tasteless haters who never evenI will support Ubisoft until the day i die. I bought AC Valhalla Day 1 and i will do same with Far Cry 6. I want to play Assassin's Creed Unity as last thing i ever do, before i die. Ubisoft (alongside Rockstar Games, Remedy Entertainment and Capcom) is one of my favorite game developers of all time and i mean it. They have got so much undeserved hate from tasteless haters who never even cared to play Ubisoft games. Anyway i just wanted to truly thank Ubisoft for every video game they have done and thanks to that made my life so much happier and better in general.     Awesome game, definitly the best one in the ac series, graphics are great framerate is about 55 fps. I don't know why so many people complain about it.

Ubisoft have finally listened and given us a proper combat system, extended parkour system and a new next generation graphics system to top it with a 4-player coop system.

    The story and the characters are a lot more interesting and you will get dragged into the story from the very start. I read some of the bad reviews here and everyone is rating it a 0 because of low fps, calling it unoptimized. Sure its very demanding and sure they will optimize it more, but the game has insane details so low end and medium systems will have a hard time running this right now.

    Still, its ridiculous to rate it a 0 because of that, this is the best in the series by far.    … Expand

    Cons: Very demanding on Hardware. Optimization tweaks from developers will be necessary, hopefully they come soon. It's very playable on decent Hardware. No pirate ship :(.     To other users: I'm getting 45-59 frames with all maxed/FXAA. GTX 770, i5-3570k. For those of you with performance problems I'd say to fix your settings, and compare with performance you got in Black Flag. Don't try to run Anti Aliasing passed 2x or FXAA, because it is ridiculously demanding as any PC gamer should know.

    The fact that this game gives me very similar performance to black flag is commendable, the game looks beautiful. Usually when a sequel comes out to a game a year later, you can expect it to be more demanding on your PC. This game is decently optimized. As I said my setup is modest and I'm cruising through at an average 45 frames with visuals turned up all the way save AA.

    It used to be that when a new game came out and your computer had trouble running it, you would play it on medium/low settings. If you can't handle tweaking your graphics grab an XBOX.

    Honestly if you expect this game to run better than Black Flag.. Don't comment on performance at all. Look, I know it's trendy to rip on ubisoft, but doing so doesn't make you knowledgeable about system performance, Rate the game for its gameplay and story and stop rating good titles like this into the ground because your computer sucks or you are incapable of configuring your system or proper graphics settings.    … Expand

    PRO- Visualmente es PRODIGIOSO. Solo por la belleza visual ya vale la pena. (4k una gozada)
    -Buena historia y jugabilidad.

    CONTRA- MUY exigente en requisitos. Una 1080Ti con TODO ultra, puede moverlo a 30 fps bien, pero con bajones puntuales. ¿60 fps y 4k? imposible con todo a tope.

    One of the best AC games were Ubisoft actually got it right. It's fun and doesn't take 84 years to finish. The only downside is the microtransactions.

    After 4 years most of the otimization problems have been fixed, this game has a interesting story to tell and there is meat in it's bones to sastify the player troughout the hole game.

    Interesting setting, beautiful open world. Yeah, not a good story. All the plots in Assassin are very similar, but this does not make the game worse.

    Well, a few years after the release this game got its best form. Many bugs and problems with optimization have been fixed and the best features of Unity are shown now to the full extent. Its unbelievable graphic and the most picturesque Paris in the gaming industry are amazing. Unfortunately the game was released too early. Without a doubt, one of the best parts of AC

    This game is absolutely amazing. It's most fun i have had in very long time (and yes, i play tons of other games as well, but that doesn't mean i can't compliment stuff i like). To elaborate, it's not like when Red Dead Redemption 2 is amazing game and obviously better game than AC Unity, then by some logic i can never say that I absolutely loved AC Unity. It doesn't make any sense, but sadly there are actually people out there, who think that way (certain youtubers even, but i'm not going to name them, because they simply don't deserve it).

    People who say that this game is boring and simply delusional and i mean it! I could spend hours just parkouring around Paris, climbing etc. Just as i could swing around in Spider-Man (2018) for hours. And it's not only parkour obviously, city is full of things and places to discover. I was shocked how many hidden entrances there were, where you can randomly climb inside some houses and only entrance would be on rooftop, so you literally have to search for them and that's cool in my opinion. That's called exploration. AC Unity has by far best combat animations and combat is very brutal in this game. There's also tons of famous landmarks of Paris, Catacombs etc, it's all there.

    So people who said that this city is empty and boring, were either lying or didn't even care to look for these things and places. Of course it's not Black Flag level exploration, but there's just so much you can do with city game. Could it have even more content? Sure. But in my opinion it has already enough. Graphics are absolutely phenomenal, specially on PC. It's easily top 3 best looking game of 2014 and still holds up amazingly. Even tho it's obviously best on PC, even on PS4 it's still great. Overall conclusion : It's amazing game, i absolutely love it and i'm highly recommending this.    … Expand

    I don't care about the haters saying that they are using british accent in the game and what not. I did not even focus on such a stupid thing while playing.
    The voice acting was really good I done care about the accent. The game was graphically incredible it was so alive like nothing I've seen before.     And that moment when I met my favorite hero my man Napoleon Bonaparte the joy I had I almost cried. The game has also some really good DLCs that are hard and nice.

    Very fun assassins creed, one of the best cities in whole series, even tho London was also cool. Black Flag is obviously better game overall, but Unity is great in it's own right.

    This and watch dogs 1 are both great games that came out same year, but for whatever reason they are both super underrated. Even tho seems like in recent years those game have got way more attention and fans, or idk, maybe they were always popular. Maybe there was just bunch of haters who tried to lower the scores and actual fans just didn't care about the scores and just enjoyed the games.

    Assassin's Creed Unity is a great game and works just fine with very high settings! Minimum system requirements are too high (gtx680). Average PC is just fine.

    I feel that this game has improved since the initial release date. Although there are problems with the game such as glitches and often clunky combat etc. I feel there are a lot of unfair reviews. There is a massive amount of in game content along with a fairly decent main mission story line, with a fresh new character to play in the AC series.

    I actually quite like the combat system (I feel it is realistic, along with the free running) and you cannot deny the absolutely stunning, rich and detailed visual display.
    If your rig is decent enough to play it, then give it a shot. I can run it on high and although it is still a bit slow at times it most definitely does not stop me playing it.
    Check system requirements on the web before you buy it though - by the looks of the average user score a quite few people probably made that mistake of assuming it will be fine.    … Expand

    Hopefully one day Ubisoft either remakes or remasters AC Unity and adds some new stuff like new side missions and also make Élise playable character and give her some extra missions. That would be amazing. This game clearly has huge fanbase, so why not. Even tho first i would like to see remaster of AC 4: Black Flag.

It always had solid parkour, solid combat, nice characters, amazing graphics, beautifully designed Paris. It was never broken lie like cyberpunk 2077. When Unity's bugs were fixed it was amazing. It has one of the most beautiful cities from the actual past recreated, insanely amazing visuals for 2014. Absolutely amazing parkour.     There's something special about Unity, i'm not even sure what exactly. Maybe just this darker, more serious tone. Black Flag had something similar and i like both of them equally.

    Great game, Paris looks incredible (on pc at least), gameplay is not perfect, but it's a lot fun anyway. I like it way more than older ac games, but ac 4 is better than unity.

I remember how people whined about Ubisoft games and acted like "Cybermiracle 2077" will be flawless and amazing and we all know how this turned out. Now all CDproject fanboys are quiet. Good. Unity is solid game, better than 3, Odyssey, Rogue, Syndicate (even thoUbisoft has always made quality games, they are obviously no Rockstar Games, but neither are other companies and that's a fact. I remember how people whined about Ubisoft games and acted like "Cybermiracle 2077" will be flawless and amazing and we all know how this turned out. Now all CDproject fanboys are quiet. Good. Unity is solid game, better than 3, Odyssey, Rogue, Syndicate (even tho Syndicate was solid effort and worth a play) and to me even better than Origins. But that last one is about personal taste, because Origins is very well made game and looks stunning.     With modern video cards it actually runs pretty well, i enjoy this game a lot. Just parkouring around, almost like in Spider-Man (2018) is so enjoyable and graphics are really good. Story is nothing special, but has many fun missions. Not perfect, but In some aspects one of the best AC games. If you like 1790 time period or history of Paris, you gonna love this game.

    As I write this, Assassin’s Creed: Unity is a bugfest, but technical problems, however annoying, can and probably will be fixed. It is not cracks in textures that it is the most worrying thing about Unity, but the cracks in game design and writing.
