Dec 21, 2019While there is some vary from the book, overall I feel like it was very well done and set up the second season well.

Dec 28, 2019Enjoyed the cast and performances. Like the stories of each character and different timelines coming together. Hope it gets more than 2 seasons.

Dec 24, 2019While the start was a little rigid, this show begins to perform well toward the end of the first episode, I am excited to see the second season now that they have drawn up the origins of its primary characters.
-
Dec 28, 2019The show is incredible! It isn't without its flaws and there are a few questionable casting choices, but it's still a great watch. Ultimately, Henry plays the role of Geralt splendidly and as a fan of the games, I was not disappointed.
-
Dec 21, 2019The negative reviews are from the hardcore fans. And it is their right to be critical if it does not right to their beloved books. But damn I like this show and I want more of it!

Jan 1, 2020Liked it a lot. It's not perfect but very very good. The acting was great, especially liked Henry's Geralt and Yennefer :)

Jan 10, 2020Although I was quite sceptic about this series now I understood that it's actually great. Music and effects were legitimately awesome. I can't complain about the actors: they do their job pretty good, in my opinion of course. Jaskier - my favourite one.
-
Dec 22, 2019-
Yen - she is beautiful, big eyes, etc, but miscasting
Triss - same as Yen
Where is the second sword on the back of Gerald
+
all other thing is almost pretty good -
Dec 20, 2019so i'm just watching it and keep repeating in my mind smth like "ok then, that's not bad"
-
-
Dec 23, 2019I really like the first season of this show. I was astonished to see all of the negativity in reviews from both critics and users.
Is this the best show i've ever seen? No. It certainly has some flaws but to say that it is less than a 5 is crazy talk. -

Dec 22, 2019I don't understand why the show runners wanted to tell a story in three different time lines. Was confusing at first too me but, I mange to figure it out. I still need to read the books. Mainly played the games which take place right after the books. Henry really brings out Gault and she his acting chops and skill so he wont be tight cast as Superman. The supporting cast ready shine.

Dec 21, 2019Good show much better then what critics make it out to be. Henry Cavill plays Geralt well its definitely outside the norm for the types of characters he plays but I am enjoying the show either way.

Jan 9, 2020A fun adventure and is able to tell a nonlinear story well. The show has Likable characters with good character development. And to put the cherry on top it has a good score and humor.

Dec 29, 2019Great series, faithful adaptation of book series. Central cast are all magnificent. Only gripes would be slightly convoluted plot and pacing problems. Season could have done with being 3-5 episodes longer.
-
Dec 21, 2019Great start to the show. Looking forward to season 2 when everything starts to come together and be more clear. Laughing at the egregious reviews (EW) which didn't even watch the entire show before scoring it.

Dec 20, 2019Good series. Very good. Very more true for the series
Like Geralt and his horse for good horse things. -
-
Dec 20, 2019Of course, The Witcher's first season is not without its flaws, but all things considered, it is a fine beginning for a hopefully long a successful series.
-
Dec 20, 2019Never read the books, played all the games. This is it, Everything here is at its place, the pace, combat, the story, characters, dialogue, everything is Witcher all the way. Bravo! I would have given it a 10 if Marcin Przybyłowicz made the soundtrack.
-
Dec 21, 2019Read books, played the games. The show is very good both in cast and story telling. Time jumps might be a bit difficult for people who are not familiar with the story but on the whole the series is quite solid and fun to watch.

-
Dec 20, 2019Really loved this show. Read books, played games and happy that this adaptation was not disappointing. Can't wait for season two.

Dec 20, 2019Torn story.
Very little music.
Actors play cool!
The action is cool, but not enough. -

Dec 20, 2019For the witcher fans, the show will be fantastic, but overall it was good. Only problem was the timeline jump. Sometimes you didn't know if you were watching the past or the present.
-
Dec 20, 2019I've read every book and played every game in the Witcher series. I still had a hard time keeping up with the story line in a few places. I had to pause the show multiple times to explain what was happening to my spouse.
The fight scenes and sword play are incredible. The show follows the books but not in order. I highly recommend reading them for a little better understanding. -
Dec 20, 2019While some parts definitely drag and seem confusing, the Netflix adaptation does justice to the books/ games. I cannot wait for the second season!
-

Dec 21, 2019I really like it. Visuals , music, fighting scenes! overall "feeling" is much more like books then in the game. IMO non-linear storytelling is most weak spot in the wither from netflix . Looking for more :)
-
Dec 21, 2019Its a pretty good adaptation. Its not perfect but It is certainly worth the watch. Looking forward to season 2.
-
Dec 21, 2019Great quality for debut season, only some strange cast choices, for some worldwide appeal, that this big franchise doesnt need.
-
Dec 21, 2019+ Henry as Geralt (he is great)
+ action scanes
- not canonical
- chronology of time (you can get lost)
- unnecessary flashbacks.
It was enough to start with the saga and not loose stories.
I look forward to the second season. -
Dec 21, 2019This is a phenomenal show. It si true that there are some acting weird moments and script details, but overall the atmosphere and plot is very cool.
-
Dec 21, 2019The show is actually pretty good. I was pulled in and invested enough to finish the show in an afternoon.
Is it the perfect masterpiece? It could use some polish. Is it worth the watch? Definitely. -

Dec 21, 2019My opinion is that The Witcher: Season 1 is gerat ! Yes, there are some inaccuracies against the book and games but Geralt is great. Henry Cavill is excelent Geralt. Yennefer and Ciri are not bad played too. Story telling is a bit confusing but all stories are gerat. :)

Dec 21, 2019Great adaption if your not a snowflake and get mad because there's black actors. fun first season and great build up for season 2.
-
Dec 21, 2019Loved it. I would definitely recommend this for those wanting a good story arc.
-
Dec 21, 2019The Witcher does not have the Budget of HBO GOT but delivers a very good series.
All the actors do a fantastic job. Its not a perfect series but still very very enjoyable.
I like a adult content because its how it is and how it should be.
I dont understand people who vote 0 / 10 just because some actors dont match the skin colour. Thats just sad. After watching all 8 episodes. Its a 9/10 for me -

Dec 21, 2019Amazing introduction to the Series with great skilled actors. Just need to fix some small details in next seasons
-
Dec 21, 2019Henry Cavil is perfect for playing Gerard. But as for many Netflix originals the first season has a curse. But once the show is renewed, Henry won’t have to reconsider working with dc again
-

Dec 22, 2019I had so much fun watching this show. A few improvements should be made, for example the villages and cities seems to be pretty empty. For people who don't have any experience with books or games it could be pretty difficult to watch it at beggining. I am looking forward to see more seasons of this show. Great work!
-
Dec 22, 2019As someone who played the games, The Witcher series nailed the feelling of the games, great acting and direction, really enjoyed it.
last episode was a little bit off for me, felt like it as dragging for a bit.
but Henry Cavil as Geralt was just on point, he carried the show, and stayed true to Geralt's monotone voice/ character. -
Dec 22, 2019I didn't have high expectations after watching trailers, but it's a very good show, a great fantasy world on tv.
-
Dec 22, 2019Very close to the book. Cavill as Geralt is mesmerizing. The only thing that I had an issue with was the timeline. But after taking it all in and re watching and thinking about. It all makes sense. MUST WATCH for Witcher fans!
-
Dec 23, 2019Really enjoyed this, I've played the games and read the books. It's great to see some of those moments on the screen. Loved the performance from all the cast and the scenery looked amazing.
I expect that if this is the first thing you are seeing of the Witcher it may take a few episodes to get into it, it could be a little confusing Overall very enjoyable. -

Dec 22, 2019It’s very interesting. I believe it will be new “game of the thrones” I’m waiting new season, and lets more money on CGI

Dec 22, 2019Despite some minor stumbles, I still think it's a piece of a good series. I am looking forward to the second season and meanwhile I am starting to watch the first one again.

Dec 29, 2019Good fantasy series, original and special. I have never read books by Sapkowski and I didn't like the CDProject's game unlike many people, but this creation dragged me and I watched it entirely in two days. I kept one point because Jaskier's music is too modern and pop if you will. Also one point because Cavill is cutest chick in this series and plus one point because of the same reason :*

Dec 23, 2019All in all awsome show. Too bad they didn't make a few more episodes do that the whole season would be more than just a long introduction but they managed to deal with the issue of connecting different short stories into something that will be a good base for future seasons. Cavill is great except pushing the Batman voice too hard

Dec 23, 2019I truly loved it, really i did. I would give it a 10/10 if triss wasnt 50 years old and brunette. But that's a minor problem. And how could they leave out gwent!
-
Dec 23, 2019Interesting characters and great action. Can be a little confusing, but I think that is due to the complexity of the world they are creating.
-
Dec 23, 2019I really really enjoyed this show. If you love fantasy with a great story and great characters then this show is for you. The timeline gets a little confusing but it all makes sense in the end and you will appreciate it

The Witcher is a messy tangle of plotlines in a world underdeveloped to the point of obscurity.
-
As a mindless fantasy rollercoaster, Geralt’s journey is five stars all the way to tea-time. Sadly, for those who like brains with their brawn, it may be more of a slog.
-
It takes a while for viewers to learn how these characters are connected, via an exasperating Westworld-esque narrative knot that takes much of the season to unfurl. ... The Witcher heightens our confusion by fumbling details that would have helped it set a cohesive tone. Dialogue vacillates, from line to line, between theatrical fantasy-speak and modern colloquialisms (“Dragons are, in fact, a thing!”).
