    - где-то явный мисскаст,
    - сам сериал будет трудным для понимания любого, кто не знаком с этой вселенной, а просто увидел - "о, у Нетфликса новый сериал, надо бы глянуть". Будет сложно понять, что вообще тут происходит. Кто, откуда, куда зачем. Зная лор, и то надо мозаику собирать. Но все это можно простить. Видно что команда старалась, видно что люди болеют за свое дело.    Есть огрехи,

    Видно что команда старалась, видно что люди болеют за свое дело.
    С образом Геральта лучшее попадание, все могло быть в разы хуже.
    На Нетфликс было огромное давление, и не фанатам и так все равно, а всем ярым фанатам, со своим идеальным ведьмаком в голове угодить невозможно.
    5, 4, и тем более 0 и 1 это точно не заслуживает и не должно!

    В любом случае, мы очень надеялись что это произойдет, и долго этого ждали. Теперь с каждым сезоном главное, как минимум, не понижать качество. Успехов команде!

    As a fan of the short stories, books, and the games I was very skeptical about the series but overall it's and it looks it will get even better with the next season.

    Just like the game series and the books, #TheWitcherNetflix manages to pull me completely into this world.

    I'm really excited about this successful interpretation of the Witcher universe.
    It doesn't bother me at all that some characters look different because they all play their roles very well. Since I can separate series and game series well.

    The show is absolutely amazing, I read the books a long time ago and the show really brought me back to that time. Henry Cavil does an excellent job as a Witcher and the rest of the cast is great to.
    Don't pay to much attention on the people saying there are to many Africans in the show and that some things don't follow the books, bad acting and other things.     In my opinion, The Witcher fills a gap about which we had no idea it exist:) I'm glad that the creators do not want to be 100% faithful to the books and have added some American bravado. I feel the commitment, Cavil works perfectly and gradually acquires these repeated scars. The third episode is championship.     One of the best fantasy series ever. Amazing fights choreography, dark world, brutal with unique permeation between evil and good, like in books. Many thanks to Tomek Baginski for his engagement to this project, great work. I feel a lot of his ideas in each episode. All the best for whole team, creators and producers that give us this series.

    Increíble! La película te pone de lleno en el universo de witcher. Y lo que es mejor no se para en extra presentaciones ni en momentos que no aportan . De los juegos a los libros sabes lo que viene y vas a disfrutarlo.

    despite some unhappy cast choices (in contrast to the literary series) I have to say that I have appreciated the netflix series enough. There are numerous ups and downs in the flow of episodes with dialogues and effects often not very inspired or credible. Despite this, I do not feel like giving a negative vote to the series and indeed I hope in the next season.    I finished the series ...

    Epic story....Magnificent heroes, beautiful muzic and very nice scenography.
    What is the best? That it is begining! When Netflix give a little more money for production of next sezon it will be better and better!

    Una serie con altos y bajos pero sin lugar a dudas el que se roba todo el protagonismo es Carril, el personaje de Gerald no podía estar en mejores manos y cumplió mas que correctamente. La ambientación se siente muy apurada en ciertas locaciones, el CGI se ve mal en ocasiones pero en nada critico.

    Смотрел на одном дыхании . Многие сравнивают с книгой или с игрой , но я отстранился и смотрел как отдельное произведение. Моя оценка 8 из 10 , но поставлю 10 так как вижу много необоснованной критики , притянутой за уши. P.s. Первый сезон Игры Престолов смотрел с меньшим энтузиазмом и меньшей охотой.    Для первого сезона это очень хорошее начало !

    I've enjoyed it a lot. Maybe it doesn't match with some people's vision for the show but it definitely deserves a much higher rating than it currently has.

    Though there might be some criticism, I can understand why it followed the format that it did. Playing through the three games there was a very strong episodic nature about it. I feel that this is a strong beginning, though it could always be better, if the director learns from the mistakes, it will continue to be a very strong show.     I know that my score isn't objective and I can't rate straight... BUT. This serial shows episodes which weren't in the books but which I was rendering in my head. AND IT'S EXCITING! I was just quaking in flashbacks, when I saw some scenes! There are many miscasts and bad graphics but it wasn't stop me to fall back into this marvelous story!

    Full disclosure, I love the high fantasy genre. The show looks great, the acting and action are solid and the show weaves episodic and continuing stories together very well. Post GoT, it has been hard to find shows willing to mix fantasy, horror and yes, even nudity, together, I also appreciate the absolute lack of preachiness from the show. For pure entertainment, an easy 10.

    I think It's very good SERIES if you don't compare with the game. The plot worse(worse!, but quite good) than in book, but it's typical problem for all films and series in our time. Good music and beautiful picture. It worth your time.

Acting, writing, tone, look, ambiance, music are all excellent. Henry Cavill is PERFECT. He's the perfect mix between game Geralt and book Geralt (which were already almost identical, truth be said). But Cavill really evokes the game voice, and that'sThis will please fans of the books AND the video games. General audience will understand the universe eventually and realize its brilliance. Acting, writing, tone, look, ambiance, music are all excellent. Henry Cavill is PERFECT. He's the perfect mix between game Geralt and book Geralt (which were already almost identical, truth be said). But Cavill really evokes the game voice, and that's appreciated by the hard core fans. Even his style of sword fighting is almost like a ballet, compared to everyone else.     This show was excellent and I am praying that it goes for at least 5 seasons. All the reviews saying that it was hard to follow and this in turn made it bad are hard to empathize with because I found that element of mystery and confusion just made me want to watch more of this great show.

And above all, it manages to capture what makes Sapcowski's work so special. To be honest, I haven't read any of the books, but I instantly recognized the moral ambiguity, philosophical questioning, and lovable characters that made me fall in love with the games. And if that isn't testament to how this show captures the essence the Witcher, then I don't know what is. The show is very clearly pushing some kind of diversity agenda, but that never gets in the way of the story and we should all be ashamed for doubting Anya Charlotra as our beloved Yennefer; I can hardly imagine her any other way now. There are times when I sensed that the creative teams politics undercut the narrative integrity of the story and characters, but I don't think it was ever a conscious decision, just something that manifested subconsciously. It was so subtle, in fact, that the only reason I think I noticed it was because I went looking for it.

    And the show is smart. Oh, I'm sorry, you think it's an unfocused, confusing mess? Sorry, babe, you're just **** stupid. The story is told so well and is one of the main things that makes this show stand out. And for the love of Roach, can we please stop comparing this to Game of Thrones? They are nothing alike, both in terms of their source material and their execution.

    There's so much I'd like to say so I think I'll just close with this: people are dumb. This show is good, really, **** good. I binged the first five episodes in one sitting and I finished the rest by the end of the day. I never do that; I cannot remember the last time something held my attention so completely like that.

    Please, please give this show an honest try. Ignore the shallow hot-takes of the mainstream "critics" and give the show the benefit of the doubt. Some people don't like the nudity, others don't like the racial diversity in an eastern, medieval European setting. But please, put all that aside and you have my word you will not be disappointed. The fans have already spoken; if you already love the Witcher, you'll love this show; it has Sapcowski's blessing, after all.    … Expand

    Awesome season and great start for a long-distance series. Hope people will get that it is an adaptation and a fantasy world. As Sapkowski himself said, when he curated the series along the way, that it never was a clear slavic novels, it is about the story, not about the world or individuals.     First time ever I review anything on meta, when i saw Entertainment Weekly giving this show 0 I just had to register. Wtf is wrong with them? I can bet they newer watched the show. Bunch of amateurs, writers may a**. Show is far from perfect, there is lots of potential for future seasons. I enjoyed the show very much , watched whole season in 1 seating. Highly recommend.

Если честно даже Йен мне понравилась , чего не могу сказать о Трисс.     I have read Sapkowski's novels when I was teenager. It was one of the first fantasy with not black and white characters. I love LOTRO but the great heroes and devilish vilians makes the story so far away from our times and circumstances.
    The Witcher stories were full of gray characters, so of the ugly on outside or inside. To paraphrase Geralt "People are often the true monsters".

    I have seen Polish series over 10 years ago I played the games from DC Project.
    Recently a waited for Netflix series. And finally it is here :)
    Except for Witcher 3: Wild Gone game it's the best that was created so far. Actors play amazingly. Special effects are gone really nice. World is painted slowly from one episode to another.
    If I am to point a things to improve for sure they need to focus more on plot and improve sex scenes ;) Both were better in the Withcer 3 game ;)    … Expand

    The casting for the show is perfect! I was worried about how they would introduce the show but it played just as the books! I cannot wait for season 2! There are many little clues as to whats happening that can be easily missed so its not a show that you can watch and surf your phone etc if you go in not knowing the story. And the ending was amazing!

    I love it yet knowing how much it can do better. The Witcher vibe is here, the actors and their chemistry is great, they don't shy from the magic while explaining how it works in the Witcher world well. If you were feeling lost at times, get to the books, you won't regret it.

    Awsome show. Great casting, smart story, simplified - comparing to original books, but still nailing it. Do not compare it to GoT - it's a totally different world, but it fills the whole in fantasy movies perfectly. Just enjoy the ride!

    The Witcher is a faithful adaptation to the core of the source material (the book series of the same title) and strikes an enjoyable balance of a thoughtful show and spectacle. I find most poor reviews are from viewers unwilling to let the show breath, expecting a quick and mindless payoff instead of a tactful story requiring patience and attention.     Witcher boasts a strong debut season. Tone and aesthetic is spot on, casting is amazing, and Henry Cavill’s performance as Geralt of Rivia really showcases his passion for the games and series. Expecting a big future for this show.

    Season 1 accurately captured the tone and style of the first book in the series and successfully adapted it for TV. While not perfect, the cast and crew came as close as possible with the budget they had to work with. Henry Caville and Anya Chalotra captured Geralt and Yennefer in brilliant performances. I thoroughly enjoyed Season 1 and am looking forward to the future seasons being released.

    Bardzo dobrze zagrany, pięknie nakręcony (zdjęcia!), świetnie udźwiękowiony. Naprawdę warty obejrzenia, ale nie dla każdego. Jestem fanem opowiadań Sapkowskiego i oceniam jako fan. Adaptacja udana, bo dodaje coś od siebie. PS. Walki! Są przekozackie!

    Awesome awesome awesome awesome. The writing is so good that I had to re-watch the entire season one with subtitles and kept pausing it to read over and over the script. I will have to find the script online somewhere. If you enjoyed the game, you will love the show. Don't believe the critics.... they don't know what they are talking about.

    I played all CDPR games and read all of Sapkovsky’s books. In general, I liked the series.
    Liked:
        + Recognizable scenes and dialogues from books, as well as constant links to games     + Wonderful soundtrack, similar to the one that was in the games of the series The Witcher.     + Fencing scenes by Henry Cavill as Geralt     + Voice of Geralt     + A great actor in the role of    I played all CDPR games and read all of Sapkovsky’s books.         - Weak scene with a golden dragon. In books, she was larger and the dragon was larger. And in The Witcher 2, the dragon scenes were better. The most gorgeous dragon was in the Hobbit (Smaug).
        “No Brokilon forest with dryads.” The scenery could be better and larger.
        - Armor of the Nilfgaard Warriors. The design of the armor is very strange.

    If you loved the video games, this show perfectly encapsulates all the intrigue, adventure and horror. Some of the monsters are truly scary and terrifying. There is a lot of world building going on in the first few episodes along with multiple plot threads and different timelines. It can get confusing but your patience will be rewarded.

    A big fan of the games and I am pleased to see the show is just as awesome. While it takes a few episodes for this show to really settle in, I can happily say that by the end of season 1, it looks amazing for the coming season. Loved it!

    Awesome series that stays very true to the books! Not sure what all the hate is about casting... it doesn't detract from the story what-so-ever. If you're not familiar with the witcher world approach it like game of thrones - power through the first few episodes and you'll get past that initial feeling of being overwhelmed.

    -етническое предросположеность (я не расист и уважаю право людей других оттенков увидеть себя в картине,но в сюжете должны являться исключительно славяне) Хотелось чтобы больше поработали хронологией событий,я сперва не понял что к чему.Здесь было бы уместно название эпизодов Сперва мне не понравился актер исполняющий главною роль - Геральта из    Сериал в целом очень хорош!

    Great acting, great cinematography, Henry Calvin is amazing, i really love Gerald's personality and story. Yennefer is a complex character and i enjoyed every second of her being in the spotlight. The plot is fantastic in my opinion and the way things are put together is refreshing for today's tv shows market

    It takes a while for viewers to learn how these characters are connected, via an exasperating Westworld-esque narrative knot that takes much of the season to unfurl. ... The Witcher heightens our confusion by fumbling details that would have helped it set a cohesive tone. Dialogue vacillates, from line to line, between theatrical fantasy-speak and modern colloquialisms (“Dragons are, in fact, a thing!”).
