It's a shame that Cavill won't be present to see the show through to its conclusion, but given what Season 3 of The Witcher establishes in terms of mounting conflict, rich character growth and relationships, and phenomenal performances, there's still plenty worth tuning in for into a fourth season and beyond. Despite the danger they’re all constantly in, it’s a pure delight to finally see the series’ three leads sharing a screen together. And, to its credit, while The Witcher clearly delights in showcasing the charming found family bond between them that viewers have been so long to see, not everything between and among the group is hearts and flowers. The intervening episodes before the two groups link back up at Aretuza are all solid. We already knew the Geralt and Jaskier dynamic works, and Yenn and Ciri figuring out how to be around each other is a nice touch. .... The real problem comes with episode five, an interminable slog that doubles back on itself so many times it becomes exhausting about halfway through. A nice improvement from season 2, I want to see the another half, hope the next Geralt actor continue this franchise and the Cavill's widows fans don't ruin this show.

Feels like everyone just stopped caring. From the CGI (which is utterly abysmal in parts) to the makeup department, everything feels a bit… sloppy. The cast are still doing their best with the script and dialogue. Cavill is still great to watch. The worst part is it feels like parts of theFeels like everyone just stopped caring. There are scenes where a character is referring to a recent event as if the audience has full knowledge of the scene or they have suddenly travelled elsewhere with no explanation. These edits leave the episodes feeling choppy and disjointed at best or completely confused at worst. Not sure what’s going on behind the scenes, but whatever the cause(s) the end result is a messy end to Cavills time as The Witcher.… Expand

The plot doesn't make sense at all as derailed so much from the source material that you can only sum up as a nonsensical pointless mess. They took one of my favorite shows and killed it, I won’t even finish this season because it’s that bad. I loved season 1 and season 2 was very good but this season sucks. There are more perversion sex scenes than monster killing scenes…… isn’t t that fun?!?! As with season 2, the writing fails in moments that deviate from the source material and it becomes painfully obvious how much disdain the writers have not only for the world but also the fans who have fallen in love with the tone and lore of the Continent. Won't be returning to watch part 2 of season 3, and it is my hope Netflix cancels their ill-cast season 4 before they lose further respect from fans of the Witcher.… Expand
