Rise of the Ronin is a great game for everyone who's looking for a new Samurai adventure to sink their teeth into. With a great historical story, impeccable and spectacular combat and amazing visual style, Rise of the Ronin delivers everything you would expect from a Team Ninja title. Add to this classic formula an interesting open world and some fun co-op and you have a great game on your hands. Some small technical issues hold this game back, but they will no doubt be fixed in the future.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a triumph in many ways thanks to its story, a plethora of minigames, an improved fighting system and a sprawling open world full of activities that are fun and rewarding. The story dips a bit towards the middle though, while the new mechanic that tracks the relationships in the party is a bit unclear at times.

While the world and story of Echoes of Wisdom are a lot like what you're used to seeing when playing as Link, Zelda's distinct abilities make for a fairly different experience. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle could perhaps be seen as a weird experiment that owed its success to good release timing. The sequel, Sparks of Hope, proves that view incorrect. Super Mario Bros. Wonder has its shortcomings. A traditional lives-system has no reason to exist in 2023 and the game's difficulty seems less balanced in optional content versus the main adventure. But the core of the game is a delight! Even though the Ultimate Edition of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow doesn't provide many new features for the fan, it's downright impossible to deny the PC version is very much superior to the console counterparts. The doubled framerate, along with highly improved graphics and two DLC packs, are good enough to conclude Mercury Steams Castlevania game still provides a great gaming experience after three years.

Sucker Punch has the honor of bringing us the last PS4 exclusive with Ghost of Tsushima. The game delivers an immense adventure of more than 30 hours, based on a true war. The battles, the environment, the animation, all look amazing. Still, it misses an original touch in its gameplay. Next to that, the battles tend to be the same once you get the hang of the stances.

This first episode of the new Dontnod trilogy story is a bit of a slow starter, but sets a beautiful scene of little-town Alaska where twins Tyler and Alyson grew up. The game brings everything we expect from a Dontnod game: exploration, tough decisions and puzzles combined with the supernatural and more than one complex and difficult relationship.

F1 2021 continues where it left off with F1 2020 when it comes to core-gameplay. It brings well-needed changes to the UI and brings a few extra modes to choose from. For a season that is otherwise the same as the previous one, Codemasters did a great job of bringing changes to make it feel fresh in some ways. Issues from previous installments such as randomly placed tracklimits and occasional crashes are carried over. Something Codemasters could fix by bringing an update to the game (instead of track).
