So is Mario & Luigi: Brothership a must-have? Definitely. But only if you like turn-based battles and have the patience of a saint. If you want to get straight into the action, deep puzzles and that sort of thing, Mario & Luigi: Brothership is not for you. But us? Well, we recommend it. Teamwork makes the dream work!- XGN

What it ultimately comes down to with EA Sports FC 25 is that the game is more of the same from what we've had in recent years from the EA Sports quiver. The game is still plagued by age-old bugs and glitches, still has weird inconsistencies when it comes to gameplay and continues to have a complete imbalance between defending and attacking.- XGN

Thankfully, the minigames are fun, the obligations are minimal, and the classic Mario Party feelings of frustration and euphoria quickly surface by the end of each game. Undisputed is a boxing game that fans can really sink their teeth into. The possibilities are enormously extensive and the variation in opponents and tactics invites experimentation. While the world and story of Echoes of Wisdom are a lot like what you're used to seeing when playing as Link, Zelda's distinct abilities make for a fairly different experience. Selecting an Echo is clunky at times, but each can be used creatively as a solution to a myriad of clever puzzles. Performance leaves something to be desired, but the princess' first outing as protagonist is a strong one.- XGN

While it is not quite on the level of Luigi’s Mansion 3, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD offers a fine visual update to a 3DS classic. Unfortunately, unlike other recent Nintendo remasters, this new version does nothing to alleviate the annoyances of the original game, such as E. Gadd’s all too frequent calls. Ultimately, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD makes for an okay addition to the Switch-library, but it can’t be called essential.- XGN

Obsidian's Pentiment is not for everyone, but this RPG does offer a fascinating look at the religious and political unrest of the early sixteenth century. A variety of backgrounds and a time limit that doesn't allow you to pursue every plot thread in one playthrough, it also offers good replayability. Unfortunately, it also somewhat overstays its welcome when the last hours repeat a lot of what you already know. The Switch port isn't flawless, but will suit you just fine if this is your platform of choice.- XGN

While Princess Peach: Showtime! doesn't offer too much of a challenge and is a bit on the short side, the game nevertheless offers hours of fun. The diversity in costumes ensures that you don't get bored and can't wait for the next level of each costume. It also shows that the idea of Peach as a damsel in distress is in the past. She doesn't need anyone to save her. In fact, she is the hero who saves others, whether that is by decorating cakes or fighting as a Swordsman or Kung Fu master.- XGN

The Side Order DLC adds an interesting new mode to Splatoon 3. The Tower of Order is surprisingly challenging and the gameplay is diverse with color chips to change your playstyle. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is everything you don't want from a live-service looter shooter. Another Code: Recollection greatly expands on and alters the content of the original titles, even when it doesn't strictly need to. This applies to story details as well. Most or all changes are improvements, but some existing fans may understandably prefer the older versions. Great sequel with many improvements. Your canine company 'buddy' is both adorable and useful in combat and solving puzzles. You're fitted out with a wide range of guns and the occasional melee weapon, but their usefulness is limited - as is your storage for them. Focus is clearly still on shooting Freddies. RoboCop is a passionate and faithful addition to the franchise, but it's not without its flaws. The gunplay also feels really solid, although the overall experience does get hurt by a fluctuating difficulty and a scarcity of weapons for a FPS souls like, especially in the early game.- XGN

Disney Illusion Island is an entertaining game, whether you play alone or with up to four friends. The platforming action is smooth and flawless from the start and you don't even miss defeating enemies. The only cons here are the small screen of the Switch and the little flaws in the co-op mode.- XGN

Synapse is the new standard for VR FPS. thanks to the clever use of force feedback and eye tracking, you feel like you're inside the action. The combination of eye tracking and telekinesis is simply delightful and this is the closest we've felt to being a true force wielder. the clever use of your offhand for navigation, telekinesis and climbing/hiding is brilliant and works like a charm. If we have to complain a bit, we would love some more variety to the weapons used.- XGN

Compared to newer farming games Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is somewhat slow. This can lead to some frustrations, yet at the same time it gives you a sense of peace, something which is very welcome in today’s often rushed society. If A Wonderful Life had added more things to do, this slowness would’ve probably been a lot less noticeable. The characters, who are the heart and soul of the game, are the saving grace. They make you want to keep returning to Forgotten Valley.- XGN

C-Smash VRS is a fine crossover of Arkanoid and sports like Padel or Squash. The ballhandling works great and playing is very much fun. the single player could do with a few more game modi and hitting the ball sometimes feels inaccurate.- XGN

Aliens Dark Descent is a fresh RTS-adventure that stays true to the Aliens roots, whilst building upon its foundations. The squad based tactical action feels fresh, and gets intense pretty quickly when out in the field. Traversing the multi-run stages is engaging, but multiple technical flaws do hinder the game from reaching its full potential.- XGN

Final Fantasy XVI is a complete package with a refreshingly mature storyline, full of surprises that keeps raising the stakes. The switch to real-time fights is a daring step, but works most of the time, as long as the graphical effects don't blur what's going on. The game can be greatly adapted to facilitate those that mostly play for the story, but also those that are looking for a real challenge. The most epic fights, those between the Eikons, are visually impressive, but a bit too hands-off.- XGN

Land of the Morning Light is a change of pace for Black Desert, but it works pretty well. The folklore stories are beautiful and set players up for the endgame-system, although new players don't learn a lot about combat. The new area is also beautiful, with traditional Korean architecture and gorgeous sceneries. And the expansion is free for all players.- XGN

Farming Simulator 23 for Switch balances between two extremities. The game offers a solid farming experience that can be enjoyed endlessly, but, as it is based on the mobile version, it's also very limited. It doesn't offer the freedom which makes Farming Simulator great. Without mods, limited vehicles and fixed layouts, you're trapped in the base functionalities without the possibility of experimentation or expansion.- XGN

This game was clearly a challenge too big for the developer and they should have been saved from this embarrassment. This game doesn't do the Lord of the Rings franchise, Daedalic or Nacon any favors and it would be best if they avoid games of this size and for a while. With its extremely poor character design, lackluster, boring gameplay and bug ridden mess, this is one title even the biggest LotR fan should avoid.- XGN

System Shock Remake lacks the polish we've come to expect from modern remakes, but it is definitely the best version of a cult classic. It feels a bit old, but the creepy atmosphere and mysterious story make players want to explore it. You'd think a game about AI would have better NPC's, though.- XGN

Diablo IV is an exceptional return to form for Blizzard, who deliver a great product for die-hard fans and newcomers alike. From a great story to exploring a fabolous open world to slaughtering demons while getting through a dungeon, Diablo IV offers you everything that you could ever want from a Diablo title. Going on an adventure hasn't been this fun for a long time and it gets even better when pairing up with some friends.- XGN

LEGO 2K Drive is a really fun expierence for younger, but also older LEGO fans. The games has many incredible things to offer. For example, there are many really enjoyable challenges to find in the open world, and it's incredibly cool to build your own racecar with LEGO bricks. The story is a bit unoriginal and the game has microtransactions, what we could expect from a game made by 2K. Nevertheless, everyone who enjoys LEGO or arcade-racers, should give this game a shot!- XGN

A platformer that's hampered by it's focus on telling a tale of an ecological drama. The enormous environments are widely different, but are all dark an gloomy, while protagonist Gaia can temporarily bring brightness. Gameplay is diverse, even though Gaia could really benefit from the ability to shy away from edges, making the platforming more difficult than necessary. There is a great game here, but it isn't allowed to shine due to the unrelenting desire to get the ecological story across.- XGN

Murfasha is short, but fun to play. There is a lot of shooting, but it's still laid back and actually too easy. The Tower Defense mechanism where you're the tower yourself is nicely thought of. The game has a dark sense of humor that actually works, without getting too much on the forefront. Murfasha is a great game for a couple of hours or evenings of fun, with out too much hassle.- XGN

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom quickly does away with worries that Breath of the Wild's Hyrule won't be as fun to explore a second time. Sky Islands, changes to the landscape and much more make this journey every bit as exciting as the previous adventure. Criticisms of Breath of the Wild have been taken to heart where possible, leading to unique dungeons, among other things. Small performance blemishes and occasionally annoying companion AI can't stop this game from being absolutely essential.- XGN

Arkane has almost always delivered quality games and Redfall is no exception. The gameplay is fun, there is an interesting world tO explore, you get a long story and there are tons of guns. With singleplayer and co-op there are very distinct ways to play the game, but we do miss matchmaking and the game could have used some final touches.- XGN

Mile 0 is the prequel to Road 96, a highly valued indie game. Sadly, this prequel cannot live up to the expectations. The choose your adventure mechanic doesn't work if the final result is already known, the game is short and marred with technical errors. Also, the game seems designed for mouse and keyboard with controller support added as an afterthought. Sadly, we cannot recommend this game in its current form.- XGN

Destiny 2: Lightfall hits a lot of great notes. The new subclass, Strand, is very cool to use and gives you a lot of new movement options. Neomuna is a true sight to behold and invites players to explore. The most important part of the expansion however is the campaign and even though it has a lot of amazing and cool moments, the story falls short. Lightfall offers up more questions while we should have been getting some answers.- XGN

Moss Book2 is longer, more versatile and graphically better than it's predecessor. Quill (and companions) are adorable as ever, but the even bigger stakes and more interesting puzzles make this follow-up even more interesting. The release together with PS VR2 is welcome and makes this one of the better starter-games of the launch line-up.- XGN

The PC-port of Returnal fixes one of the biggest issues of the Playstation-version; not being able to safely quit the game without losing progress. In keeps its smooth combat, even with a mouse and keyboard and allows the graphics too be even better on modern hardware. An amazing roguelike with just a few minor complaints.- XGN

Horizon: Call of the Mountains showcases the possibilities of Sony's new VRheadset, but also stands on its own as an actual games. the game is stunning, climbing feels natural and controls are very well implemented. The major disappointment is that fights with machines are isolated and cannot be re-done outside the missions. The game would benefit greatly from a Proving Ground. This is a must-own for any PS VR2 owner.- XGN

Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe is a joy to play, particularly in co-op, as two players can spot more secrets than one. However: co-op is also the game's greatest weakness as everything revolves around player one: it's a dated approach to co-op compared to newer games that treat all players as equal participants. Thankfully, improved graphics and great additional content make this new version of Return to Dream Land truly "Deluxe".- XGN

A classic returns in Metroid Prime Remastered. A complete visual overhaul makes the world of the game look better and more detailed than ever before. A new dual-stick control scheme makes the game approachable and palatable for new players, while veterans can opt for controls that mimic the original. Underneath it all, though, the masterpiece that is Metroid Prime Remains unchanged. Some more quality of life improvements could perhaps have been made, but it is a tiny complaint for a near-perfect remaster.- XGN
