My question at the beginning of this review was rhetorical - Saviorless was always worth saving. Despite a relatively unexciting first half, there's a solid blend of platforming, action, and puzzles wrapped in a strikingly gorgeous presentation. If you can live with some of its vague storytelling and the weird way it handles collectibles, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Zombieland: Headshot Fever Reloaded is a solid arcade-style shooter that'll put your skills to the test whether you're trying to climb the leaderboards or master all of the challenges for each stage. It's quite inconsistent, though, so be ready for some frustrations.

The frustration with its emphasis on mining gems aside, Story of Seasons is still a lot of fun as a cute and leisurely game. However, this sequel took more steps backwards than forwards and I'm hoping it remedies these poor decisions in the next installment.

Gravitar: Recharged is a challenging remake of a classic that requires precision and patience to master. If that sounds like your kind of game then you'll surely enjoy yourself but less patient gamers should remain wary before taking off.

RollerCoaster Tycoon Adventures may not be an in-depth amusement park management sim but what's here is a ton of fun. Plus, the amount of content is superb so if you're looking for a less demanding theme park simulation experience then this is a game for you.

If you're looking for a simplistic yet fun action RPG set in a charming world then Cat Quest is a definite must-buy game. However, don't expect the catnip to keep you under its spell for long.

The robust world and intricate combat system are Cosmic Star Heroine's shining stars but neither aspect is without flaws. Still, it's an enjoyable and accessible game that will appeal to both the JRPG faithful and casual genre fans alike.

If you're in the market for a mindless hack and slash action RPG with endearing characters and plenty of cheeky moments then Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online is sure to satisfy. Just don't expect the fun to last very long.

If your idea of fun is flicking your boogers on the wall to see which ones stick, you probably won't enjoy Curved Space. However, those who simply want some old-school action in a roguelike setup will surely appreciate what it has to offer.

If you're itching to play a retro-inspired beat 'em up then you can't do much better than Wulverblade with its solid gameplay, high quality presentation, and rewarding replay value. I'd take my hat off if only my head didn't roll away in the heat of battle.

I don't anticipate that Kero Blaster will have the kind of staying power that Cave Story has but it's a satisfying and challenging sidescroller that retro gaming fans will definitely appreciate.

I'm happy to say that Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain is super-fun whether you're playing by yourself or with friends. It may not have much long-lasting appeal but it's certainly worth adding to your multiplayer playlist, especially if you enjoy mini-games.

Molecano is a sweet and simple puzzle game that's packed with oodles of levels to master and characters to unlock. Its basic gameplay does get repetitive rather quickly but holy moley, it's still a wonderful game to wind down with via short play sessions.

Even though Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is disappointing in a lot of ways, the combination of classic fighting and new gameplay mechanics results in some exhilarating battles, especially online. However, don't expect an epic story or an impressive roster.

Skelattack boasts one of the most unique premises and stories that I've had the pleasure of experiencing in a long time. If it featured tighter controls and better balancing when it came to its platforming challenges then it would be a must-play Metroidvania.

Human Fall Flat could possibly be the next big goofy indie game with odd controls and it's also one of the most enjoyable cooperative physics-based puzzlers around. Just make sure your patience is in check before you Fall Flat.

Death or Treat is a very fun 2D action roguelike with impressively immersive combat that'll have you giddily juggling Halloween monstrosities while they spew out candy as if they're piƱatas and it's your birthday.

Spirit Valor is an RPG that's sure to satisfy if you're looking for a characterful story and a clever magic system. Outside of these elements, things start to feel a little hollow, though, such as the barebones sense of exploration.

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner is a classic action game that holds up beautifully. That being said, this Mars remaster certainly doesn't feel necessary, especially because we already have an HD Collection and the VR implementation is far from perfect.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is essentially a carbon copy of the first game except it has a new mode and a different story-based adventure. Because of that, I can't help but feel like it could have been DLC instead of a brand new separate game.

Miitopia is the only Nintendo game that actually uses the Mii concept to its full potential. Even though the core gameplay doesn't stray far from a basic formula, I never thought that user-generated Miis could result in such an addictive barrel of fun.

If you own a PlayStation 4 or Vita then at this point, you're better off purchasing the superior original Don't Die, Mr. Robot! However, for those who only own a Switch, what's here is definitely worth checking out, especially if you love unique arcade-style experiences.

Youropa is a stand-out indie that offers a memorable unravelling game world that's full of variety and hidden treats. It may take things a bit slowly but the fact that it's something very different is commendable, especially because it does everything very well.

Time Recoil plays like a toned-down Hotline Miami that strips away the stealth focus and ramps up the twin-stick shooting. Poor enemy AI makes some scenarios a bit unbelievable but the core gameplay and time mechanics keep it enjoyable from start to finish.
