    If your idea of fun is flicking your boogers on the wall to see which ones stick, you probably won't enjoy Curved Space. However, those who simply want some old-school action in a roguelike setup will surely appreciate what it has to offer.

    Right now, Curved Space is a good game for those looking for an arcade shooter with leaderboard support that has a handful of new things to offer. If the action was dialed up and a few gameplay tweaks made it less exploitable, I may have wanted to stick around longer.

    Curved Space is a decent twin stick shooter which has a variety of weapons, striking level backdrops, satisfying upgrade systems and a cool leash mechanic. Sadly, it’s significantly let down by repetitive objectives, technical issues and level design which is aesthetically, but not practically, interesting. While not a bad game by any means, Curved Space sadly fails to capitalise on its promise despite its solid offering of modes.

    Curved Space is a gorgeous looking, and sounding, shoot 'em up with a nice planetoid-hugging level gimmick but in reality it's a little boring, and awkward, to play. It's not bad but it doesn't live up to its full potential at all.

    A fantastic looking game with a banging soundtrack, but not one that will keep you occupied for too long. Gameplay is far from bad, but it’s not up to the same standard as the graphics and audio sadly. Curved Space is a slickly presented but sadly average title.

    If you’re a huge fan of twin-stick space shooters, Curved Space will do enough to hold your attention for a while. Its unique features don’t amount to much, however, leaving you with a rather mundane entry into an already crowded genre. Simply put, there are much better arcade shooters out there to spend your time and money on.

    Curved Space is a poor game that frustrates and confounds more than it entertains. The irony is that in a game about killing bugs, bugs kill much of the game’s appeal. Poor design choices and weak gameplay kill the rest.

    In 3 words Curved Space is about Push Forward Combat. The same phrase used by ID software to explain the combat philosophy of Doom 2016 which results in frantic, nail biting, free flowing combat. It is not that Curved Space was designed to mimic Doom, however good design decisions and good combat often share characteristics in common.

    Yes the name and the gimmick behind Curved Space, make a big deal out of the technology that enables acrobatic maneuvering and shooting over curved surfaces. Yes the Campaign has multiple paths and expertly voiced dialogue. Yes the weapons are many and awesome and absurdly unique. Yes there is an energy lash that lets you siphon energy from your enemies and energy nodes alike. But that is just where the game starts, that is just how the game pulls you in and shows you its wares. The game really comes alive and starts to shine once you get past all of that and start to dig deeper into the nuanced combat system.

    Curved Surfaces translate to free flowing navigation and multiple avenues of scape and attack when you are in the thick of battle, multiple weapons translate to choosing your own gameplay style and just as many upgrades translate to, optimizing that play style for maximum efficacy. The lash and the dash however are what will keep you alive, they are the way you ram enemies for insta-kills and extra health refills, and absurd amounts of points on chained combos. Let me tell you: A billion points is possible in this game, perhaps even a trillion, but it will take every ounce of concentration and optimization on your part to claim that victory in the game's public scoreboards.

    Come play the game, learn the basic combat through the Campaign, hone your skills in the Arenas, and come prove what you are made of in Survival, Endless and Daily Modes. Perhaps one day you will be able to finish the Campaign in Nightmare with all of the modifiers that make the game even harder, including the 'No Continues" (Permadeath) option turned on!

    But don't think this is only for the ultra hardcore audience, there is a casual mode as well as 5 more levels of difficulty for everyone in between to have fun and leave their mark on the corresponding score board or to collect their platform's achievements.

    Pick up the game and go as deep as you'd like, you will have fun! I have many hours in this game since Beta, and am just as excited as everyone else to keep playing.    … Expand

    Curved Space is a twin stick shooter type game where you go around a map shooting spiders… featured here are daily challenges as ell as a 2 hour long campaign… youll be shooting spiders, harvesting them for power, taking down bosses, picking up new weapons, new upgrades off of the boss, the music is great, and the game looks beautiful, however the fun only lasts about 30 minutes
    Why? Because this gme is god awfully repetitive, every mission the same, kill this amount of these enemies, survive 30 seconds, harvest these spiders, kill this amount of this enemy, survive again, here comes the boss, kill it, pick your upgrade, rinse repeat across levels that don’t stick out.. the gunplay is just unsatifying due to the spongy feel of these spiders, the gameplay is just slow and tedious… its been a while since I got bored of a game so fast…
    On paper curved space looks and sounds like a great game, but its not, its boring, its repetitive, theres nothing here that will blow you away and make you happy you picked it up…
